Super Saturday!

Good Morning!
Time has been really limited this week so I've combined three things today!
2. Lauren's Saturday Sketch
3. CC Designs Sneak Peek from ATS
On December 1st ATS and CC Designs will be releasing new stamps and I've got another sneak peek to share. Today's set uses the smaller images in the set Sugarplum Snowy Scenery. There are a couple of really cute houses in the set...stop by the ATS blog to check them out!
Hop on over to the OCC blog to see what Denise has challenged the girls to today!
Would you like to see the OCC Girls cards up close?
Aren't these little images so cute?! I've stamped the trio of trees 4 times and masked the one snowman. I thought he looked lonely so I stamped and cut out another one to add. The tops of the trees have stickles for a little more fun!
Stamps: Sugarplums Snowy Scenery; Cardstock: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, WW; Inks: Palette Noir Black; Accessories: Heidi Swapp Ghost Snowflakes, Martha Snowflake Punch, Martha Pearls, Stickles, Dimensionals

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thursday!
I'm off to the Scholastic Book Fair again today. Yesterday before heading off to the school I whipped up this quick 15 minute card using the sketch on SCS. This is a SU! only card.
Today kicks off a four day sneak peek of some new stamps that will be available at All That Scraps on December 1st.
The two stamps I am showcasing today are from Jen's stamping line...Stampin' Spot Studio.
This first one is Winter Sadie and Pepper. This could be Chloe and Snickers...hehe!
I'm so glad I still have some Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi because it goes so well with the My Mind's Eye Designer Paper for this holiday season!!

Isn't Snowboarding Brandon cute?! I wasn't sure about adding a pink snowflake but there is a LITTLE pink in the designer paper ;)

Cards for friends!

Good Wednesday Morning!
Happy Birthday Heather!
Today is Heather Rolin's birthday and the girls from H&M Stamps have decided to do a birthday blog hop of cards for her!
Here is my card to Heather....she'll get it a little late....but it's coming Heather!!!
I used the Coffee's Brewin' set with some Scenic Route DP and my new label Nesties.
Be sure to stop by the other girl's blogs to see what they have created for Heather as well!

A couple of days ago I received a nice package in the mail with thank you cards from the kids at school. They made cards and wrote letters thanking me for helping with the tree planting in the school yard. It was really sweet of them to write and draw pictures!
I wanted to do something in return so I sat down and made these quick cards for them. I don't normally mass produce but I thought it was only fair if everyone got the SAME card ;)
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'm off working the Scholastic Book Fair at school this morning and then home to STAMP!

Love Productive Days!

Happy Tuesday!
Boy was Monday a productive day! I worked on quite a few projects...some I can't show just yet though ;)
The Limited Supply Challenge on SCS was to make a pop-up gift card holder. It was super fast and easy! This is what I created.
Stamps: Merry & Bright; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Shimmery White and Frosty Days dp; Inks: Black, Kiwi, Tangerine; Accessories: Blender Pen, Kiwi Ribbon, Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Scalloped Punch, Dimensionals
Here is an inside pic. I left some white space to write a personal message.
I wanted to work on some Christmas cards and figured the next few sketches would be a good place to start. I haven't done this in a couple of months and missed it! These three cards use the same basic supplies:
Real Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Ski Slope Designer Paper
Season of Joy Stamp Set
All three cards are Stampin' Up! only cards.
This first card uses Taylor's Cupcake Sketch.
This one uses Jen's Sketch For You To Try.
This one uses Julee's Mojo Sketch.

Welcome Little One and last of my Banff pics

Good Monday Morning!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend...I sure did!!
When I got home yesterday afternoon there was a package of goodies waiting for me. Today AmyR is releasing two new sets that will be available from All That Scraps.
I was in need of a baby card...for a girl...so I used Amy's new sets called Amy's Wardrobe and Wardrobe Sentiments. The outfit was paper pieced using DCWV Nana's Nursery DP and popped up on dimensionals.
I wasn't going to share anymore pictures of our trip because I had people unsub this weekend because content was no longer relevant...ugh....whatever....I'm sharing :)
Yesterday morning before heading out for breakfast we stopped on mainstreet in Banff so I could get some snapshots before it got busy with traffic. I stood in the middle of the street and took a picture in each direction.
Second shot facing the other direction.
Isn't this shot beautiful?! I love the clear blue skies and the fresh white snow on the mountain tops!
Just a shot of a deer crossing in front of me as I was walking on the bridge in Banff.

Bow Falls in Banff

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share my pictures with you!

NSR pictures

Just got back from a day of sightseeing and shopping....resting up before heading out again for dinner and then to the Banff Springs Hotel and Bow Falls. Thought I'd share a few pictures from the past day.
I think this one is obvious....lol
Just a snapshot of the chalets we stayed at.
Hey....here I am....outside the chalets! Can you see how windy it was at 8:30 this morning....brrrrr
This is pretty close to where we were staying up on Tunnel Mountain. These are the Hoodoos. See those peeks? They say they were formed from dissolving Limestone. I would have gotten closer BUT see that edge and drop...well I'm scared of heights...THAT was as close as I was getting to the cliff's edge....rofl
On our drive from Banff to Lake Louise, it was snowing pretty good and the clouds were really low but I was able to get a shot of this mountain....think it might be Castle Mountain. Here we are at looking at Lake Louise....the most famous Glacial Lake in the Canadian Rockies...it's gorgeous in summer when you can see the turquoise colour...although it's beautiful it's somewhere you'd never swim!
This is the shot from the otherside side of the bridge. I love how clear the water is up here!
I forgot to take my large lens for my camera today so I couldn't get a great shot of the Banff Springs Hotel but that's what you see in all those trees!
Here I am in front of one of the many trees inside Chateau Lake Louise.
Thanks for stopping by....hope you all are enjoying your weekend....we sure are!

Season of Friendship

It's Saturday which means it's time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge!
This week the wonderful and creative, Denise Marzec, gave us a fabulous sketch!
Last week I received this Season of Friendship set and knew I wanted to squeeze it into this sketch so I made this a 5.25 x 5.25 square card. The tree is HUGE! But sooooooo cool! I did cut off some of the tree but I think it still looks okay :)
If you'd like to see my OCC friend's cards up close then stop by their blogs for the little details!
I didn't have time to make anything for Lauren's Saturday Sketch this week but be sure to RUN over there to see what it is....trust me...you'll love it too!
Stamps: Season of Friendship; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Sage Shadow, WW and Autumn Vine DP; Inks: Choc chip, Really rust, Sage shadow; Accessories: Choc Chip Poly Twill, SU scalloped edge punch, paper piercer, Dimensionals, Paper snips

Friday 21 November 2008

Finally it's Friday!

It's FRIDAY!!!
In a few hours Brian and I will be heading off to Banff for the weekend! Ski season opens and I'm sure it's going to be super busy there but it'll be so nice to get away! Chloe is excited about going to her friend's house for a weekend sleepover and has been packed for a couple of weeks already...lol
Yesterday's challenge on SCS was to do with pearls....it could be self adhesive pearls like I used here...or pearl-ex...mother of pearl technique...liquid pearls....you get the idea ;)
I pulled out the Season of Friendship for this card and some Pacific Point cardstock. This colour is super bright but I like it! Although I've only cut into three pieces so far.
Stamps: Season of Friendship, Best Yet; Cardstock: Pacific Point, WW; Inks: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze; Accessories: Top Note Die, Curvy Punch, Circle Punch, Martha Stewart Pearls, Dimensionals
Cindy posts such fun My Favorite Thing Sketches all the time and I try real hard to get to them. Yesterday afternoon while doing the laundry I sqeezed this one in ;) You can find the sketch on the MFT forum on SCS.
Stamps: MFT; Cardstock: Brocade Blue, Barely Banana, Shimmery White and Scenic Route DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Brocade Ribbon, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'm hoping to get some great pictures while I'm away that I can share with you all when I return. I'll have posts to share with you while I'm away, so stop back tomorrow! I will be putting my comments on moderation before leaving so don't worry if they don't show up right away.
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

I did work on other things yesterday but they are for the weekend and will have them to show you while I'm away....tomorrow we leave!!
I received my NEW Flight of the Butterfly last week but hadn't mounted it until yesterday. I knew I wanted to use it for the Sketch Challenge on SCS.

Challenges galore!

Yeah! It's Wednesday! Thank goodness!
Only a couple more days til our weekend getaway!!!
I've got a lot to show you today as it's the SUINK Whachadoin' Wednesday Challenge and ATS challenge as well.
First I wanted to show you my colour combo cards from yesterday...
Real Red, Black, Kraft
This first one is a SU! Only card.
I used a fave set, Upsy Daisy!
Stamps: Upsy Daisy; Cardstock: Real Red, Black, Kraft and Hostess dp pack; Inks: Real Red and Black; Accessories: SU scalloped edge punch, Black grosgrain, Dimensionals
Here is the second card I made using the Colour Combo....
I used the Santa from Sugarplum North Pole which is available from CC Designs at All That Scraps.
Stamps: Sugarplum North Pole; Cardstock: Real Red, Black, Kraft, Shimmery White and Hostess pack dp; Inks: Palette Noir Black; Accessories: Copics, Curvy Rectangle Nesties, ribbon, Liquid Applique, Glitter, Dimensionals
This week Jen challenged the girls to make something with acetate. Since I'd recently received the pillow box die from SU! I wanted to try these cute little treat holders. I filled mine with some Reeses Pieces...yummy eh?! I stamped the Reindeer from the Sugarplum North Pole in Palette Noir onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Then coloured with my Copics. We hope you will play along with us. Stop by the ATS blog later today to see the details!
Stamps: Sugarplum North Pole; Cardstock: Real Red, Shimmery White and Ski Slope DP; Inks: Palette Noir, Real Red; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Real Red Ribbon, Martha Snowflake punch, 1/2" circle punch, Acetate, Pillow Box Die, White Gel Pen, Reeses Pieces...YUM!

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I made this card below? Well knowing the challenge coming up for today, I went ahead and made a little hot chocolate packet for Brian and I to take with us to the ski lodge this weekend! Last year I picked up these cute little Martha Stewart boxes and knew they'd come in handy some day! The outside was decorated with Frosty Days DP and stamps from the Aspen set by SUINK.
In the box is enough hot chocolate for two mugs, mini marshmellows, 4 peppermint hersey kisses and two mini candy canes....YUMMY!
Stop by the SUINK blog to see all the details of the challenge.
Ok just a couple more things to show...you sick of lookin' yet?
Last night while watching the OILERS KICK BUTT in hockey....I worked on these little bags using my new nesties! Aren't they cute? With the holidays fast approaching, I thought it would be nice to have some little bags ready to go for those last minute gifts if need be.
I made a boo boo with the first one....tried to use my Key Tag punch to do the handle and it jammed...ugh...so I used a nestie to cut it out to cover it up...that's why it's so close to the top.
Stamps: MFT Scarf for Three, Merry&Bright; Cardstock: Kraft, Shimmery White; Inks: Palette Noir Black, White Craft; Accessories: Sponges, Nesties, Martha Snowflake Punch, Martha Pearls, Copics, Regal Rose Ribbon, White Bags
Here is another cute little bag and pillow box treat that I made....
Stamps: Merry&Bright; Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Choc Chip, Shimmery White, Pretty in Pink DP; Inks: Palette Noir Black, Close to Cocoa; Accessories: Copics, Acetate, Pillow Box Die, Nesties, Regal Rose Ribbon, Curvy Punch, Dimensionals, Sponges, White Bag
ETA: The white bags are little treat bags I picked up at Michael's and cut them down to fit inside the front and back panels....then taped together.
Thanks for stopping by today!
