That's what I plan to do for the next several days in California! I don't know exactly what our plans are but we will enjoy ourselves!
This is a card I made a few days ago using Julee's Mojo112 sketch.
I really wanted to ink up the new set from Taylored Expressions called Luxurious Labels. There are some really wonderful images in this set and I can see myself making tons of homemade goodies with it this holiday season. The paper is from the October 20th KI kit. Isn't this Cosmo Cricket Earth Collections beautiful?

Joy - Sweet Sunday Sketch

This week has been flying by! LOVE it!
Last weekend I was able to play along with Karen Giron's (my Baker's Dozen teammate) Sweet Sunday Sketch that she posts on her blog.
I've been seeing this teal coloured Jolly By Golly designer paper everywhere and was so excited to find out that I HAD it in my stash! LOL! It was like Christmas when I made the discovery. I squealed with delight :)
I paired it up with some Prism papers. Sorry I don't know the colours, I can't find my swatch book :(
The image comes from the Wings of Joy stamp set that is available at Taylored Expressions. Some glossy accents were added to the berries.

Whew! Soon I'll have a breather AND some stamping time!
I've been working on some DT commitments in my spare time, that you'll see while I'm away but in the meantime I'll share another one of my Dirty Dozen cards. This one is from August and I think the theme had something to do with bling. Forgive me for not having time to go look it up ;)
The stamp comes from a Unity set called Diva, I think....lol
I added stickles to her tiara and earrings.
There was something about this layout that I REALLY liked and I'm pretty sure a year ago, I used it often.

Swiss Pixie - Nora

Happy Friday!
I bet you are excited it's the weekend? Well I'm not...lol! I have to work the whole thing in order to get extra days off to go to California!! I know, you feel sorry for me, right? haha!
I have so much to do before leaving but I put it on the back burner in order to play along with a couple of SCS challenges yesterday morning.
This card was made using the SC253 and the WT243.
The Ways To Use It Challenge - It's a Stick Up!
I couldn't find any stickers in my stash, or at least any that I'd want to use....lol
So I made some snowflake stickers using the Xyron machine ;)
This Luxe DP has been in my drawer for about a year. Don't you love the pretty colour?
I stamped the Swiss Pixie Nora from All That Scraps in Memento Black and coloured her with some copics. Stardust stickles were added to her wings.

This morning Taylored Expressions has released all the new sets!!! RUN on over and get yours ASAP ;)
I've got one last card to show you before you go though...lol
Celebrate Life has many wonderful images and sentiments that would be fabulous for an Autumn or Thanksgiving card. BUT I was in need of a birthday card for a man so I went a different route with the stamps.
I knew I wanted to use the October 20th KI kit for my card along with this yummy ribbon from SU! that I've been hoarding. I hope adding the bow didn't blow the card for a man?!

Sweet Indulgence

Good Morning!
Last night when I got home from work I got right to stamping with my Taylored Expressions stamps and Spa Key Ingredients Kit!
Today's sneak peeks are of a cute new set called Sweet Indulgence. Cuppie is being pampered!
I've also used this month's Spa Key Ingedients.
A little about the KI kit:
Prism cardstock colors included are:
Intense Mint
Intense Pink
Frosted Kiwi
Razzleberry Light
Frosted Teal
The neutral is Choice Buttercream. The patterned paper is Whirlybird from the My Mind’s Eye Penny Lane collection! There will also be 5 yards of coordinating ribbon, beauty brads (blowdryers & lipstick), and an assortment of sheer flowers and leaves.
Look at this fun designer paper! Cuppie is busy getting a make-over...just what I need...lol

Ahhhh to have a few minutes to soak in the tub!

Since I was home yesterday as Chloe was sick, I worked on a couple of cards using MFT images.
This first one uses the Scarf for Three set.

This next ones uses Baby It's Cold Outside.

These cards were also made for the MFT Guest Designer Challenge for November which was to make a mostly white card. This WAS a challenge for me as I normally use a lot of designer paper and colour on my cards.

Good Morning!
So did you all have a wonderful Halloween weekend? Did you see many trick or treaters? I was super disappointed that we only had around 60 or so kids...now we have whacks of candy left over....NOT good :(
I ended up having to work a bit yesterday but while the race was on I stamped for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS. Jen was the FS yesterday and I decided to case her card here. Both the cards I made used Taylored Expressions stamps and papers.

Why do kids always get sick at night and seem fine during the day? lol
While she was laying down this afternoon I created a few cards using the October 20th KI kit from Taylored Expressions(with the exception of a few things).
This first one uses Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #42.

Ok so I can't make everything Christmas related....ha!
This little notebook was a gift from a friend and it's been on my alterable shelf for a long time! She always sends me things I can decorate but unfortunately I have little time these days for such projects.
I decided to make this for a friend that is a baker. I'm hoping he likes it and doesn't think it's too girly?! If so, he can give it to one of his staff maybe? I resisted making a bow or adding glitter/beads to the cupcake...lol
I did make a beaded pen to go with it though :)

I'm right on track for my Christmas card production and hoping that I can keep the same pace over the next month and a half...lol Each year my holiday list grows and grows. Not that I'm complaining but I always like to have a few extras on hand in case someone gives me one AND I forgot them :(
This card for today was made using a new set called Otis and Milo's Christmas. It will be available from All That Scraps on Monday at 10 pm Eastern.
I've been itching to use this new American Crafts Designer Paper. It's a little bit of a busy pattern paper but fun! The silver paper is actually the backside of the dp!!

Frosty Days~!
I'm pretty sure I bought this Penny Black snowman stamp a couple of years ago and sadly, it has never seen ink :( Or at least it didn't look like it had been used. Doesn't really matter either way. I just know he'll see tons of it this holiday season! Isn't he cute?!

Mando-Sayuri and Benji Preview

Good Morning~!
Well today we are expecting snow....blah! I'm out of window washer fluid and the drive to work is NOT going to be good...lol I'll be sure to get some before I drive home tonight ;) Hoping the snow doesn't last long.
Today's All That Scraps Preview is of a new set called Mando-Sayuri and Benji.
I've been wanting to use some of the SU! in colours and when I saw the flower I thought it would be perfect with Crushed Curry. To take away the brightness of this colour I paired it up with Soft Suede(another new in colour I haven't warmed up to).

I'm in love with Christine's Swiss Pixies and was so excited to see that she drew up more for the holiday season! Look at this one! Isn't she adorable!?! She's just so fun to colour :)

I'm loving the soft pastel colours for holiday cards. I've never really been a traditional holiday colours card maker anyway...lol
When I was looking for a card to CASE for the Featured Stamper yesterday, I came across THIS card of Rachel's. Using buttons for this Unity tree stamp has always been a fave of mine to do too! Rachel had a great layout so I used that and added a few extra layers, changed the theme to Christmas and soft pastel colours. I even sponged! That's something I rarely do.

Good Morning!!
Last night before sitting down to watch the Oiler's hockey game I did some stamping!!! LOL I asked Brian to move my stamping table over a bit so I can SEE the tv!! I took Cindy's advice ;)
This card measures 4.25 x 4.25 and uses Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #103.
I found some of last year's My Mind's Eye holiday designer paper on my shelf and I was so excited! This was my FAVE last year for sure!!! The fun colours are so me!
The JOY image from Wings of Joy, available from Taylored Expressions, had not seen ink yet and this little card was the perfect time to use it.

This has been one crazy week at work! Wow! I haven't had much stamping time at all :( We leave on vacation in less than three weeks and I have so much do to at work between now and then...panic mode will begin shortly! LOL! But for now...I'll take it one day at a time :)
