Noel

Well it's that time of year!

Dare to Get Dirty is ON!
I [heart] this time :)

This morning I combined two DTGD challenges and the Our Creative Corner challenge of using Aqua and Red.
I stamped Flopsey on kraft and coloured with copics.
Layered the SU! snowflake on the Heidi Swapp Ghost Snowflake and added a button and some aqua twine.
Pretty simple card!~

Have a great day!

Courage Mojo 201

It's Friday!
Chloe and I will be coming home from Edmonton this evening!!
Tomorrow we're going to celebrate her birthday(it was Wednesday) as a family.

This is my second card I created with the Mojo201 sketch from Monday.
For my card I chose this sentiment from the Blue Skies stamp set available from Verve.
I stamped the sentiment and butterfly in Memento Rich Cocoa onto the designer paper and added a bit of colour to the butterfly with my BOO copic. Oh and I added a little bit of spica pen too ;)
Stamps: Blue Skies; Cardstock: Kraft, Hot Fudge, MME DP; Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa; Accessories: Ribbon, MFT tag die, Buttons, Spica Pen, Copics, Dimensionals

Today it's my baby's birthday!
Happy 12th Birthday Chloe!!!

We are on our way to Edmonton today and will be back on Friday evening.
I'm going to sneak this card into her back pack ;)
She is going to spend the next few days with some friends, having fun, while I'm busy working away....lol

This card was created using the colours from the SCS colour challenge #333.
I didn't have the new SU! in colours so I went with things close.
I have used one of my all time favourite PI girls from MFT called Being Cute Is What I Do.

Stamps: Being Cute is What I Do; Cardstock: White, Lemon Tart, Hawaiian Shores, Tangerine Tango DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Nesties, First Place Award Ribbon Die, Dimensionals

Howdy, Friend MFTWSC30

Welcome to the MFT Wednesday Sketch #30!
Gosh this year has been flying by. Hard to believe we are on sketch 30 already.

This is one of my last cards as part of the MFT Design Team.
I'll have one more tomorrow that I made for Chloe ;)
I'd like to thank Kim for her kindness, support and the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful company!
Unfortunately, I've had to scale back my crafting time with the extra job load.
I'll still be posting MFT creations just not as often.

This week I pulled together several different dies and stamp sets to create this card.
First was the Four Point Frame - Own Your Story. I stamped the definition of a friend onto some pattern paper from MME True Blue and die cut. Then I stamped the Howdy, Friend from Well Worn Greetings Die and Stamp set. A few layers of Simply Medium Scallops and the Pretty Posies Die finish the card off.

Stop by Kim's blog to see the lineup of who is playing today! Don't forget to play along with us for your chance to win some fun MFT goodies!

Just Because

Sunday mornings I get really excited to see who the Featured Stamper is on SCS.
I love to play along as time allows.
This week however I found it an extra bit of a challenge.
Jennie was the FS and she does CAS for everything.
I struggle most with those :(

I finally decided on her card here.

I found the perfect image in the Great Friend set from Verve.
I stamped the flowers in black ink onto Rose Red cardstock and cut them out.
Adding dimensionals between each layer and some stardust stickles to the flower center.
This card measures 4 x 4.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a GREAT Tuesday!

Happy Monday

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I spent a great deal of Sunday afternoon stamping. I'm trying to cram in a ton of stamping before heading back to Edmonton for work this week.

This first card was created using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #127.
It's been a long time since I have used this fun Who's That E Girl from MFT.
I paper pieced the sofa and drew in the hardwood floor.
This next card was created for my nephew Braden's 11th birthday next week.
I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die and Stamp set. The greenish mat was cut using the circle from the Sweet Stack Label Die.
Layout comes from the Deconstructed Sketch #10.

Thanks for stopping by!
I'll have posts scheduled all week so please do come back :)

Always Have High Hopes

Hello!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Yesterday we took Chloe and her friend to Calaway Park outside Calgary and the girls had so much fun!
Going on rides I don't think I'd ever have gone as a kid. Fearless they are!

Before heading out yesterday I saw that Vicki had posted a card she made for the OCC challenge. Now I didn't read it closely....unfortunately....lol
I saw it was all about the B's.
So I went with blue, balloons, bows, blue bling and baby braddies
BUT
When I hopped over to the OCC blog to post my card I saw it was specific B's
Black, Buttons and Bows....oops!
This is what I created for (what I thought ) was the challenge....haha!

I used the Inspired by Up Up and Away set from MFT for the sentiment. I let the My Mind's Eye designer paper do most of the work.
The sentiment layer was created with a couple different pieces from some MFT dies.

Love - Viva La Verve

Happy Weekend!
Any big plans?
Chloe has a friend visiting for the weekend and I'm hoping the weather holds out so we can do some fun outdoor activities today. Keeping my fingers crossed!

This morning while everyone are still fast asleep I headed down to the basement to do a little stamping.
Felt good to stamp for the first time this week.
Although there is very little stamping on this card.....lol

This Verve card was made using Laurie's Viva La Verve July Week 4 sketch.
In my latest Verve order I got the Jotted Heart Die and was so excited to be able to use it today!
The sentiment is from the Love Notes set and was cut out using the Charming Oval Die.

Stamps: Love Notes; Cardstock: White, Sno Cone, Pink, Pink Paislee DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Charming Oval Die, Jotted Heart Die, Scallop Ribbon Die(mft), Nesties, Ribbon, Sewing, Dimensionals

Happy Friday!
Last Sunday while watching the race I kept busy stamping cards so that I'd have stuff to show you while I was out of town this week.
This is the last card I created.
I've used this super cute PI from MFT.
Flower Girl was stamped in Memento Black Ink and coloured with Copics. The Hi sentiment came from the Say What? set.
I created the flower using the Upsy Daisy Dienamics and several different felts from MFT.

You're Priceless

Good Monday morning!

Did you have a wonderful weekend? Do anything exciting?
I worked for a bit on Saturday and then did some chores around the house in the afternoon.
Sunday I spent the day doing laundry and stamping....fun times!

The Featured Stamper on Sunday was Teri.
I chose to CASE her card HERE.
I added a couple of layers and instead of stamped flowers I used the MFT Upsy Daisy Die-namics.
Sentiment comes from the Well Worn set.
A little bit of Cappucino Twine finishes it off.

Own Your Story

Hello!
I finally had time to play along with Jen's July Sketch For You To Try last night.

My latest MFT order arrived on Friday but I had to pick up the parcel yesterday at the outlet.
Inside was this Own Your Story stamp set and die that I ordered.
I've really been trying to use up scraps of designer paper that were laying around in a box. This pretty dp is from My Mind's Eye.
Buttons were created with the Button Quartet die-namics.
These are the die-namics I used:

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to spend the day relaxing, watching the race and stamping!
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

You're So Awesome

Happy Saturday!

Last night Snickers wanted to go downstairs stamping so I granted her wish ;)
I knew there'd be a fabulous new Viva La Verve sketch posted in the Verve Forum on SCS so I took a peek.
I ended up combining the sketch with the Free 4 All Challenge of Twine.
Pulled out the fun set called Happy Days and some of the colourful Echo Park Splash designer paper to create this card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Butterfly Mojo199

Happy Friday!!!

Today I am staying IN the city to work. So looking forward to not spending 5 or 6 hours driving ;)

Wednesday evening while I waited for Big Brother to start I stamped a couple of cards. This was one of them.
There was a fabulous Mojo199 sketch posted on Monday and I took advantage of the free time.

I really wanted to use this pretty Kaiser Craft Chapter One designer paper again. The black and white is velvet and the blue is embossed with a clear pattern.
Stamps are from Verve.
Here I've used Beautiful You and also the Chicks Rule set.
Did you know that the Flutterby Die matches the butterfly from Chicks Rule? Cool eh?
Thanks for stopping by today!

A Friend Is Like A Rainbow

Well mail is STARTING to move....not fast enough for me though....lol
Yesterday I received my MFT package that I ordered mid-June....funny thing is that the packages Kim sent me BEFORE that one....have yet to arrive...grrrr!
My patience is wearing thin.

Any way, I decided since I had ordered the Rainbow dienamics I should really try it out.
The SCS sketch #341 from yesterday was perfect for it!
I grabbed a bunch of scraps from the pile and created the rainbow in a matter of minutes.
Easy peasy!
I also cut some fun Flat Bottom Clouds with Puff White Cloud felt.
The sentiment comes from The Great Outdoors stamp set.
Here are the dies I used:
