Spring Thing

Happy Saturday!
Pacific Point hasn't been a colour I have used all that often yet I do love the look...especially with this Designer Paper. For this card I've used Lauren's Saturday Sketch #25. Thinking of You Friend

Good Morning!
First I would like to thank you all for your sweet comments on my Diaper Cake yesterday!! I had a blast making it and already have an order for one! yippee!
We are in another winter deep freeze here...
This card makes me wish for SPRING!!
I combined the Colour Challenge and Julee's Mojo75 sketch for my card.

Diaper Cake

Good Morning!
I finished up this Diaper Cake yesterday and was able to take it to work to give it to my friend/co-worker. She is going to be a first time Grandma and throwing a baby shower next month. I was tickled pink when I heard the good news! Finally I had someone to make one of these for....yippee!
Susan Liles wrote an AWESOME tutorial for this and you can find it HERE.
It certainly was challenging to get a good picture. It's snowing here today so the natural light coming it was a little off.
Here is a shot in my craft area.
The large butterflies were made using the SU! butterfly diecut. The other little ones are made with the Martha Butterfly punches.
Here is a close up of the butterflies but you still can't see the glitter on the large butterflies that well...sorry!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Live with Passion

Good Morning!
Did you see the race yesterday? I am happy that Jeff finished 2nd but I wanted him to win so bad....I think I may have cried....lol!
While watching the race I started on a project for a friend....I'm excited to show you...hopefully I'll be finished in the next couple of days :)
Yesterday's Featured Stamper was Jami aka SgtStamper. You can see her card HERE that I cased.
I loved her layout and that she used a favourite stamp set of hers. So I went that route. Inspired by Nature is a fave of mine!
Stamps: Inspired by Nature; Cardstock: White, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Good Morning DP; Inks: Kiwi, Black; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Martha butterfly punch and pearls, Dimensionals

Making the Grade

Good Morning!
First I need to apologize for my first picture...not sure but I must have moved or something because the top of it is fuzzy and the bottom nice and clear. Normally I'd re-take a picture BUT as I type this the evening before, I'm about to watch the Oilers vs Flames hockey game.
The other day I was out and about and finally broke down and bought this CHF Kim Hughes set called Making The Grade. It was at a LSS for $31.99. ACK! BUT I've been eyeing it for MONTHS! Finally I decided that by the time I paid the crappy exchange rate, shipping and duty....the 31.99 wasn't such a bad deal!
I used it here for Taylor's TECC56.
Stamps: Making the Grade; Cardstock: Old Olive, Choc chip, Very Vanilla and October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa; Accesssories: Copics, Choc Ribbon, Oval Nesties, Paper piercer, EK Success Wavy Border Punch, Dimensionals
Here is a card I made using Jen's SFYTT.
Stamps: Making the Grade; Cardstock: Old Olive, Choc chip, Very Vanilla and October Afternoon DP; Inks: Olive, Riding Hood Red, Black; Accessories: Oval Nesties, Small Oval Punch, Old Olive Ribbon, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

So Glad We're Friends

Good Morning Friends!
My card today is for both of my Saturday Challenges...
This week Lauren has asked the girls to choose a past sketch and re-visit it! I had fun cruising back through her sketches....wow....so many! I ended up choosing one from June 2008 that you can see HERE.
Laurie is our hostess this month at the OCC and she challenged us to use a tag somewhere on our card. I had this super cute Magnolia image coloured on my desk in hopes I could use it soon. I think I looked through Lauren's sketches until I found something that I could use it on and also this fabulous MM Chloe's Closet DP...lol Isn't is beautiful?!!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: Magnolia, Best Yet; Cardstock: Core'dinations Textured Peach, Blue Bayou, White and MM Chloe's Closet dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: EK Success Wavy Border Bunch, Chloe's Closet Buttons and Gem, Key Tag Punch, Linen Thread, Copics, Dimensionals, Paper Snips, May Arts Ribbon, Stickles

Earlier this week Jami contacted me about being the Friday Friend on SASI!
I was super excited!
Stop by the blog to see what new card I've created and read a few tidbits about me.
While you are there....cruise around and look at all the fabulous projects the girls have shared! It's chalk full of ideas!!

Ways To Use It Challenge Cards

Good Morning!
I'm so glad it's Friday! For a short week...it has seemed extra long. I think having Brian home has altered my routine a little and I'm one of those people that need routine! I wish I could fly by the seat of my pants and I've tried...but been unsuccessful....lol
I've got some exciting news to share later so be sure to pop back!
Both of my cards are for the WT challenge on SCS yesterday.....Stripes.
This first one is a SU! only card. The secretary at school called to ask if I could make her a retirement card for a Principal friend. I jumped at the chance! Hope she liked it!
Stamps: Trendy Trees, Congrats; Cardstock: Choc chip, Old Olive, WW and Georgia Peach dp; Inks: Choc chip, Old olive; Accessories: Top Note Die, Antique Brads, SAMJ, Dimensionals
Here is another card I made for the WT challenge and for Cindy's MFT sketch #69 in the SCS forum. I've had this DCWV Sweet Stack DP for a bit. It was one of my stocking stuffers from Brian...lol I thought the cute DP colours would be wonderful with ice cream!
Stamps: MFT Here's The Scoop; Cardstock: PTI white, Apricot appeal, Regal Rose, White and DCWV Sweet Stack; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Eyelet Border Punch, Regal rose ribbon, Paper piercer, Dimensionals

Butterflies

Good Thursday Morning!
This week is flying by....gotta love that!
I seem to be stuck on butterflies lately because it makes me think of Spring! A season that can't come soon enough ;)
Both of the cards below were made for the SCS sketch challenge #216. The designer paper on both is from the SAB catty and is called Delicate Dots.
My first card uses the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly.
This one uses Simple Friendship.
Thanks for stopping by today!

ATS Sketch Challenge, CC Card and a RAK!

Happy Wednesday Gang!
I'm so glad that yesterday is over. It was one of those days. I had so much to do but nothing got done because Brian needed to go to the denist. He was having severe pain in his wisdom tooth all weekend. I called but couldn't get into our dentist til Thursday. Luckily I found another place that would take him. They turned out to be SUPER nice and very good! He ended up having the wisdom tooth pulled but not after having to cut his gums....ewwwwwwwww. I am NOT good with blood. They bagged his tooth so he could bring it home to show Chloe. She's into that yucky stuff and we knew she'd want to look at it under her microscope....haha!
Ok....so you didn't come to hear my babbling did ya? ;)
Today All That Scraps will have a sketch challenge posted on their blog.
I really wanted to use something that hadn't been inked up in a long time.
The Go Prehistoric jumped out at me. It also gave me a chance to use some Basic Grey DP!
Stamps: Go Prehistoric; Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Really Rust, Choc Chip, White and Basic Grey DP; Inks: Memento Black, Sage Shadow, Really Rust; Accessories: Copics, Sponges, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Buttons, Linen Thread, Paper Snips, Word Window Punch, Oval Nesties, Dimensionals
Did you all see the CC for yesterday? Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red and More Mustard
Was I the only one who was scared of it? LOL! After getting Brian all settled, I sat down to make something. I used Mercy's sketch and the cute H & M Stamp set called Calling All Angels.
Stamps: Calling All Angels; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Rose Red, White and More Mustard Prints Papers; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Eyelet Border Punch, Kiwi Ribbon, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Stardust Pen
I love happy mail! Yesterday I received this pretty card from Paula in Toronto! She's a wonderfully sweet person. Thanks Paula for brightening my day!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Mojo Cards and TLC Round Box Top

Good Tuesday Morning!
It was Family Day here in Alberta yesterday and boy was it nice to have a long weekend!
I had a productive day and I managed to make two Mojo74 cards, both of them butterfly themed.
This first one is a SU! only card but uses the retired Chocolate Poly Twill....my Choc Taffeta was MIA ;)
Stamps: Simple Friendship; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Baja Breeze, WW and Parisian Breeze Speciality DP; Ink: Choc Chip, Baja Breeze; Accessories: Silver Brads, 1 3/4" circle punch, Choc poly twill, Dimensionals
My second card for Julee's Mojo74 sketch.
Stamps: Best Yet; Cardstock: PTI white, Berry sorbet, Lemon tart and MM dp; Inks: Berry sorbet; Accessories: SU! butterfly die, Martha butterfly punch, Pearls, Circle nesties, Lemon tart ribbon, Dimensionals
Monday's Try a New Technique Challenge was a Rounded Top Box. You can find the thread and template for it HERE. The other day I stamped a few of these SASI Year of Sweets 1 images when working on my racing card. I thought it would be perfect to make a St. Patrick's Day treat holder! Now to get some of those chocolate gold coins to put inside....lol
Stamps: Year of Sweets 1; Cardstock: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, White and Maine Blueberry DP; Inks: Memento Inks; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Old Olive Ribbon, Circle Nesties, Copics

Featured Stamper Cards

Happy Monday!
I'll get to my cards in a minute...lol
Did you watch the Daytona 500 yesterday? If so, what did you think? I was sort of disappointed that rain was the cause of the end of the race. It must have been raining hard because in 2006 we wore raincoats the entire race...it misted the whole time and we were soaked...lol...WHY didn't they call it then? haha! Looking forward to the next race now.
Before sitting down to watch the Daytona 500 yesterday I ran down to make a couple of cards for the Featured Stamper on SCS. It was Julie Lacey....a fellow DT member at H & M Stamps! How exciting!
HERE is the first card I cased of hers. Loved the mailbox theme and since I had some awesome Whipper Snapper images from Denise, I could play along!
Stamps: Whipper Snapper; Cardstock: White, Sage Shadow, Choc Chip, Really Rust and Autumn Vine DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Copics, Choc ribbon, Sage Shadow Ribbon, Brads, Dimensionals
My second card that I made was a case of THIS card. I used the cute ballerina from the H & M Stamp set called Livin' A Girl's Life.
Stamps: Livin' a Girl's Life; Cardstock: White, Choc chip, Pretty in pink, Sweet Always DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Curvy Rectangle nesties, Eyelet Border Punch, Choc Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, 2 way glue pen and Dazzling diamonds

Good Morning Designer Paper Cards

Good Evening!
I'm back with a couple of cards I whipped up tonight while waiting for a load of laundry to finish.
This first one is a SU! only card. My last tree is a little crooked...haha...but oh well ;)
Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Choc Chip, WW and Good Morning DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: SAMJ, Eyelet Border Punch, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Word Window Punch, Dimensionals
Here is another one using Cheep Talk. Hey...is there anyone else that noticed the Cheep Talk isn't die cut very well. Mine is really lopsided...meaning it's REALLY close on one side of the image and tons of excess on the other. Think I'll call DS tomorrow. Suppose I should have trimmed it before mounting but I'm sure a customer won't want to do that.
Stamps: Cheep Talk; Cardstock: PTI white(base), Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Choc chip, WW and Good Morning DP; Inks: Kiwi, Summer sun; Accessories: Oval Nesties, Kiwi Ribbon, Mat pack and paper piercer, Scalloped edge punch, dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy RACE DAY oh and some cards too :)

Happy RACE DAY!!!
I'm a little sad I won't be sitting in the stands for the Daytona 500 today BUT I will be there for the July race :)
Denise and I made more racing cards to celebrate this BIG day!
Mine uses Jen's SFYTT...except my image panel is a little wider than in her sketch.
I figured Jeff could use some GOOD LUCK! So I pulled out the cute SASI stamp set called Year of Sweets 1. I dug through my stamps to find a checkered flag and luckily I had the ATV set from H & M Stamps. Unfortunately it is a retired set though :( Sorry!
The #24 was done using the JustRite Stamps.
We'd love for you to play along with us and if you upload to SCS use keyword Nascar1 so we can check out your cool card!
Stamps: Year of Sweets 1, JustRite Stamps, ATV; Cardstock: So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, White; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, 1/2" circle punch, Real red ribbon, Eyelet Border punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals
I've been wanting to make one of these card holder totes since Julie Buhler did a tutorial. After seeing Renee Van Stralen do one...I had to get at it!
Mine uses the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set along with the Sweet Always DP.
Here are the four cards I've made to put inside. Fairly simple as I am using up the last of my Sweet Always DP.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Now go get ready to cheer on Jeff Gordon ;)
