Well vacation time is almost over and to be honest I'm actually ready to get back to work on Monday.

As much as I loved having crafty time, not going anywhere for vacation sucked.

Boring. Nothing to do in this heat but stay indoors.

I did enjoy making several cards this week :)

Probably the highlight of my time off!

Here is a card I created on Monday using the Mojo sketch.

Julee always has such fun ones!

I used a fabulous Verve set called Bloom & Grow.

Originally I wanted to add Strawberry Slush to this but it just didn't work.

Pink Orange Yellow seemed like a pretty combo(one I used later in the week which you'll see another day).

ahhhh vacation!

Although I decided not to go to the States like we normally do(the Canadian dollar sucks) I still took a week off work to unwind.

Looking forward to the GREAT weather we are having. In the 30's(90F) most of the week.

Might make a trek out to the mountains or something for a day trip.

I am patiently waiting for my new SU! goodies to arrive on Wednesday!

I signed up again to be a demo to get the discount and paper that I just can't find anywhere anymore. All of the local scrapbooking stores have closed up. Everything is done online these days which is fine EXCEPT when the Canadian dollar is as bad as it is :(

This afternoon I created a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the CAS challenge on SCS(Waves of Colour).

My first interpretation is simple. Waves.

I am working on a more colourful card though ;)

I used a cute Verve stamp set called Text Objects.

I'm so excited to share that I was the....

This week I'm playing along with the awesome bunch of stampers over there and these are the colors...

At first I thought the colors would make a fantastic masculine card but as you can see from my cards below I think I may have gotten a little off track. That's the beauty of stamping/crafting....you just never know where your creativity will take you!!!

First up is a Verve card created with one of my all time favourite sets called Better With You.

Next up is a Stampin' Up only card created with Watercolor Wings and That Thing You Do.

I watercoloured the background using Lucky Limeade and Coastal Cabana.

Having a new puppy in the house means less time in my stamp room.

I forgot how much stuff I have laying around that little chompers like to munch on ;) LOL!

Now I will have to sneak in my stamp room when she's sleeping. 

Snickers was always really good with my stuff but then she wasn't a puppy when I started stamping 10 years ago.

Ahhhh it's almost the weekend!

I'm off Thursday(but working for a few hours) and then work Friday.

Hitting the highway.....southbound for the weekend! Yeah!

Good Monday Morning!

What a fabulous crafty weekend I had! It was the first time in months that I actually had(and took) two days off in a row! Yeah!

It was super cold here all weekend and staying indoors was a definite must ;)

Welcome Sweet Baby

Well we are in the home stretch now for Christmas!

This year has been super busy for me.

No presents bought, no tree up, no decorating inside or out :(

With only a week and a half until the big day I fear nothing will get done.

Working retail sucks the life out of you sometimes....lol

Breaking away from holiday cards I was pleased to make a baby card for one of my supervisors and his wife. They recently celebrated the birth of their daughter in November.

I made a diaper cake to go with this but never snapped a photo of it...sorry!

Good Morning!

Last weekend I picked up these new Echo Park Here & Now papers at my LSS and couldn't wait to cut into them!

I'm not a hoarder of paper just obsessed with buying new papers to use. They never go to waste at my house...lol

Although there are always a few sheets in each pack that never get used. Suppose when they create a paper pad they can't please everyone ;)

Anyway, I decided to use them on this Mojo296 card that I created. Bright and happy for a thank you.

Stamp set is from Verve's Dream Big.

The next two days I am in some training for work. Sitting in a classroom setting all day long isn't really my cup of tea but it's required so I'll do it ;)

Maybe because I'm not running around all day I will have some stampy energy tonight!

Thankfully it's Wednesday! I've made it to the midpoint in the week. Whew!

Today I'm doing a little touring around stores with someone from Toronto. Maybe that will make this day go by faster. Not sure though. Dealing with Calgary traffic can be a pain ;)
