Dashing Through The Snow

Hello :)

Wow LONG time no blogging eh?!
This time of year is insanely busy. I haven't picked up a crafting tool in nearly a month! ACK!
That's the business I'm in though. Retail is crazy until after the holidays.

Just today I addressed my Christmas cards.
Now to pick up a little something for my team at work ;)

Here is a card I created using one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches.
Stamps and dies are from PTI Papertrey Ink

Birthdays Are The Best

I'm working a late shift today. Sort of strange for a Tuesday but it does give me the ability to get crafty in the morning :)

Today the Colour Challenge 484 on SCS was Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler. The dessert option was a 4th colour and I chose Old Olive.

Sending a Big Thank You

Hello!

Gosh it's Saturday, I think....
Is it just me or do you always think that the day after Christmas is a Sunday? LOL!
Mid-week holidays always throw a monkey wrench into my week!

Lately all my days have just run into one another....lol
Here is another thank you card I created for a co-worker using the Mojo sketch below.
Sentiment is from PTI and image and die are from MFT's Splendid Sunflower.

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
I love making thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts we exchange each year. It's time to get those started now. Trying to do them after Christmas is crazy! Better to be prepared, right?
This time I used some PTI dies and stamps to create my card.

Merry Christmas To All

Hello :)

Three more days of vacation....ahhhh!
We are supposed to get snow again this weekend. That would be the fourth weekend in a row that it has snowed. Yuck.
On a positive note....it always melts here in two days because of the 70km/hr winds that Lethbridge experiences on almost a daily basis. That's about 43 miles/hr ;)
When we first moved here people told me that you pretty much have to tie things down on your deck. They were NOT kidding....lol

Yesterday while my cabbage rolls were in the oven I snuck into my craft room and made several cards.
Normally when I follow a sketch I take them literally.
This time I switched it up a bit and stepped out of my comfort zone. I know people always say that a sketch is a starting point I just hope I didn't step too far out.
You can recognize it right?
I actually really like how this came out....sort of fun and funky!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Hello :)

Ok so my plan for stamping like crazy this week needs to be put on hold for a few days....lol
Yesterday I went grocery shopping and bought all the stuff I need to make perogies and cabbage rolls for the holidays. This really is the best time for me to do them and freeze 'em up for the holiday season.
I have a feeling that we'll be doing a little entertaining since we've moved.
We're all making new friends and it's a good thing if we're prepared for company!

The card below was created for the Paper Players Challenge last week.
Mark another masculine card off my Christmas list!
Stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.

Just this week I'd received my last PTI order. With Christmas right around the corner and a small fundraiser that I want to do at work, I figured I'd order a few simple stamp sets.

TLC452 - My First Challenge Hostess Post

Good Morning!

I'm super excited today to be sharing my first SCS challenge!
A few months ago the ladies of the Try a New Technique asked if I'd be interested in joining them.
I was sooooooooo excited but was in the midst of a move and a new job.
They were very patient with me :)

Now that I've moved I will be joining them monthly.
Ready to see what the TLC452 is?

Ok so maybe you want to see what I created for the challenge?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday

Wow did we have a smokin' busy weekend!
I don't think I stopped until after dinner each evening. Not that I'm complaining as we finally got a lot accomplished around here :)
We grocery shopped at our local grocer, then headed to Costco, mowed the lawns, washed the cars/truck, moved beds around(in preparation for my parents arrival mid-week), cleaned the entire house, did 7 loads of laundry, baked chocolate chip cookies for Chloe to take to her Kindergarten class she helps in....oh and Brian was able to get all my photos off of my HP computer that crashed! Those guys at the computer store were SO helpful!
So excited to have things from 2006 to 2010 again!
After all that I did manage to make several cards :)
The one above was created for the Freshly Made Sketch.
I used purple! It's a colour I hardly dig out. It's so striking here, don't you agree?
Stamps are from PTI's Botanical Silhouettes and Birthday Basics.

Happy Birthday - FMS88

Hello!

Did you have a nice weekend?
Ours was wet! LOL!
So much didn't get done because of it. Oh well.
Next weekend looks to be SUPER busy so I hope the weather improves for us.
Brian's To Do List is getting bigger every day! haha!
Shhhhh don't tell him ;)

My parents will be here in a couple of weeks and there seems to be so much to do.
Cleaning, organizing, yardwork, dump runs, stamping for upcoming projects and then there is work.
Hoping this week I found out who will be my partner in crime co-worker. Excited to see who they hired!

Anyway, you didn't come by to hear me ramble....

I'm LOVING the sketch #88 from Freshly Made Sketches sooooooo much!
I've made THREE cards with it!
I'll show you another tomorrow :)
Today is this one...

It's sooooo exciting! LOL!
We are in desperate need of moisture. My lawn needs to green up!
This card above makes me dream of my gardens growing :)
I combined the Freshly Made Sketch #85 with the Dynamic Duos Anniversary Challenge of choosing an old colour challenge. I chose to DD #18 of Pure Poppy and Lucky Limeade.

Wishing You Sunshine

Hello :)

First I want to thank everyone for their comments or emails about Snickers.
We hope that we've figured out the problem and have her on the correct medicine this time.
Only time will tell and plenty of rest for her. I don't think she likes being locked in her kennel most of the day and it's hard for her to understand I'm trying to help her ;)
We just want our old Snickers back!

Yesterday before heading to work(working the night shift...ugh) I stamped my cards for the week :)
I'm looking forward to some HAPPY mail from MFT today! Fedex SAYS it will be here by 5 pm...yeah!

This one was for the Featured Stamper on SCS.

Congratulations Nancy on being the FS319!!

I love your gallery!
A couple of your cards, here and here, inspired my card.

Happy Birthday

Hello :)

This week could not end soon enough! Nothing has gone according to plan. Anyone that knows me well, knows that I like to know what-where-when I am doing things. Every. Little. Detail. Planned.
Maybe I need to learn to fly by the seat of my pants? LOL!

Anyway, today before 6 am my day changed yet again! ugh!

On the bright side....
I'm going to get INKY today!!

Here is a card I created last weekend for a card order using a PTI set.

Happy Birthday DS91

Happy Deconstructed Sketch Day!

Are you ready for another fun one?
This week I was in need of a birthday card for a co-worker.
Since it's someone that lives in BC I needed to mail it so I kept this fairly flat.
I used some MFT dies and a PTI sentiment from Birthday Basics.
A little stitching and a few rhinestones finish it off.

Be sure to stop by Jen's blog and play along too :)

How about stopping by the Deconstructed Sketch Girls and give them some love :)
