Just a couple of challenge cards...

In case anyone was wondering...LOL...our Family BBQ at the school went GREAT! There was a thunderstorm about 15 mintues before it was to begin then the sun came out and the wind died down and it was awesome out! We had a pretty good turn out last night, considering it was only day 3 of school!
Today I was at school again most of the day. Had a nice chat with an old Chairperson and she helped me with a few things that I'll need to do as Chairperson of the BPA this year. I'm a little(who am I kidding, I'm a very nervous) about doing Chair this year. I am looking forward to getting to know some new faces though!
Anyway onto my cards. This first one was done earlier this week for the CPS(card positioning systems) layout! Check it out here.
Today on SCS it was Limited Supplies Challenge. You were to make a sympathy card. We all know how hard it is to make them when you MUST make them. So why not get some made ahead of time right?
We had another thunderstorm a bit ago and I couldn't get a good pic of this card. The flash had to be used and it made the Elegant Eggplant look much brighter than it really is....sorry!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Stem Silhouettes and Warmest Regards
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Mellowmoss and WW
Inks: Elegant Eggplant and Versamark
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon and Dimensionals

Blog Challenge and Phonebooks

Yesterday late afternoon I got to start on some of these phonebooks while watching the Nascar race. They are super fun and easy! I can see me making a TON of these for Christmas gifts this year!!! Yah! Thanks Beate for the tutorial...it rocks! If anyone didn't see the tutorial you should check it out HERE!!!
For my covers I taped two pieces of the cardboard that comes on the bottom of our SU! pattern papers. You know, the white one...ya...worked great!!

This ducky card was made for Jen70's blog challenge. She wanted us to make a cutesy card and use a pattern ribbon on the card. I also did something I had seen Dawn Griffith do, and that was colour some of the cirlces on the cuttlebugged piece with my white gel pen. Thanks for that tip Dawn!
Jen's blog is Stamping Therapy. Be sure to check out her weekly challenges.

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge

First off, I have to say I can't get a good picture of this card. It's been cloudy and raining here all day and no matter where I went in the house it just didn't get enough natural light. So I had to resort to using the flash, which I don't like. I do LOVE my Canon Rebel XT though!!
Onto the card...

Two Weekend Challenges

This card was for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge HERE. I love when I get a chance to do challenges! So much fun! I pulled out some colours I don't use too often for this card. Summer Sun is something I rarely use unless it is for a Colour Challenge on SCS! LOL
I haven't used this Stampendous Bee stamp yet....so I knew I had to use him!
ETA: LOL! My good friend, Michelle, pointed out I HAD used this bee, glad she has a good memory ;)

This card was for Jen70's Blog Challenge HERE this weekend! You were to create a Nautical or Beach themed card using BLUES. I chose to use Cool Caribbean and Soft Sky as my blue colours! LOVE them! I am also having fun using this cool surf board stamp that I picked up in California on our last family holiday! I've not seen it anywhere around here before.
