Adventure Awaits

Hi!

How about a little change up from all the holiday cards?

One of my assistants is leaving the company tomorrow to move onto a totally different job working for Alberta Health Services. Sounds like a great opportunity and I wanted to wish him luck in his new adventure!
I know how hard it is to make a change and for him he's been with us for 10+ years. Scary and exciting at the same time!

This is a card I created for him using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and some cute Reverse Confetti stamps/dies.

You Keep Me Anchored

Hi there!

The girls at the Color Throwdown had me stumped last week with the colours!

I thought wow these are so pretty together but every single thing I tried looked horrible.
Then on Sunday I thought I'd give that smooshing technique using acetate a go.
I LOVE that technique and am hooked! You'll see several cards made with it soon :)
I also used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for my layout.
This card uses a fun MFT die that matches the Go Overboard stamp set.
I gave the anchor three coats of UTEE for a little shine ;)
Stamps: Go OverboardPaper: White, Going Gray, Pacific Point, Cool CaribbeanInk: Pacific Point, Cool Caribbean, VersamarkAccessories: Heat and stick powder, UTEE, Acetate, Spray Bottle, Go Overboard Dies, Pool Party Twine, Vellum, Dimensionals

Friendship

ahhhh vacation!

Although I decided not to go to the States like we normally do(the Canadian dollar sucks) I still took a week off work to unwind.
Looking forward to the GREAT weather we are having. In the 30's(90F) most of the week.
Might make a trek out to the mountains or something for a day trip.

I am patiently waiting for my new SU! goodies to arrive on Wednesday!
I signed up again to be a demo to get the discount and paper that I just can't find anywhere anymore. All of the local scrapbooking stores have closed up. Everything is done online these days which is fine EXCEPT when the Canadian dollar is as bad as it is :(

This afternoon I created a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the CAS challenge on SCS(Waves of Colour).
My first interpretation is simple. Waves.
I am working on a more colourful card though ;)
I used a cute Verve stamp set called Text Objects.

{heart} this

Holy cow!
Summer is flying by!
I can't believe it's August already.

Today I had the opportunity to play along with a few challenges!

1. Dare To Get Dirty Challenge
2. Paper Players making a square card
3. Sweet Sunday Sketch

I watercoloured a bit of pink and splatters for the background. The butterfly was created by mixing a few colours on a stamping block, spritzing and then smooshing it on a piece of watercolour paper. Once dry I die cut using a SU! framelit.

Stamps: Hip NotesPaper: White, Pretty In Pink, Watercolour Paper, Smoky SlateInk: Pretty In Pink, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Smoky SlateAccessories: Aqua Painter, Butterfly Framelits, Heart Framelits, Dimensionals

Hi there....Hello...

Hello!

Gosh the weather has been so nice that when I do have a day off or a few short hours I prefer to be sitting outdoors enjoying the weather. Summers are short here and I need to take advantage of it while I can.
Winter will be here soon enough and I hibernate then ;)

Here are a couple of cards that I created for some challenges lately.
This one uses a Freshly Made Sketch and also colours from the Color Throwdown blog(which my card was chosen  too...yeah) So stay tuned for a card using their colours this week as I was invited to play along! Fun!
This is a Stampin' Up! only card as well.
Stamps: Flower Patch, Hi TherePaper: White, Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso CoralInk: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pear Pizzazz, Crisp CantaloupeAccessories: Paper Piercer, Lucky Limeade Twine, Dimensionals

Here is another one I created using the Color Throwdown #350 and the Sweet Sunday Sketch #277.
I really like these colours together :)

Hope You're Feeling Special Today

Happy Monday!

Back to work after having the weekend off.
Always a day of mixed emotions haha!
Excited to see what happened at work and frightened at the same time....

Here are a couple of cards I created yesterday.
I combined the Paper Players Challenge of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Real Red with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
This first one uses a new SU! set called Garden In Bloom. Beautiful 2 step floral set. I can see myself reaching for it often :)

Wishing You Sunshine

Hello!

I've been lucky to have quite a bit of stampy time this weekend!
If the weather wasn't so nice I'd be down here stamping non-stop but it's nice out and the fresh air is awesome!

I just finished this card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #270.

I used some fun Reverse Confetti Stamps and Dies.

Celebrate!

Hi!

Yesterday my SU! box of new sneak peek goodies arrived!
I only ordered a few things and am not yet convinced that the newest In Colours are something I'll reach for very often.
Of all the colours I think I like the Cucumber Crush the best. It's bright and fun!
I created this SU! only card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

The balloon was created using washi tape from the new Cherry On Top design to match the designer series paper.
The sentiment comes from the Celebrate Today stamp set.

Hey! I Miss You Already

Hi!

I haven't stamped in days but I plan on changing that this week. Trying to get more in a routine. Brian hooked up my tv and digital box by my stamp table so in the evening when he's busy on his computer in the basement, I can be down there with him! Fun!

Here's another card I created using the pretty colour combo from last week's Paper Players Challenge #240 and also Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #264.

Thanks for Brightening My Day

Hello!!!!

I'm back! Moved and settling into our new place.
Gosh it feels GREAT to stamp again!
I still have a little unpacking and organizing to do BUT Brian insisted I sit down and create today :)

Last week I received my Reverse Confetti order and I've been itchin' to use it!

Karen's sketch below was used to create my card.
Here I used the Shine Bright stamp set along with some fun dies from Reverse Confetti too!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello!

Today I'm finally packing up my craft room! Yeah!

We are hoping to be moved this weekend but won't have any internet until next Wednesday :(
Bummer!

Tomorrow is Brian's birthday!
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch below to create his birthday card.
Since I'm packing up I decided to reach to my scrap pile for card stock colours. I really love this Hawaiian Shores colour from Papertrey. The card is for my husband so I decided to add a little red heart for a pop!
Thanks for stopping by!

You Keep Me Anchored

Look at me go!

Two days in a row posting! Wow!
Not sure it'll happen as often but I've felt a lot more inspired this past week.
Maybe it's the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over and I can relax a bit.
Being in retail drains you.

I was happy to play along with the SCS CAS challenge yesterday and combine it with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

Dashing Through The Snow

Hello :)

Wow LONG time no blogging eh?!
This time of year is insanely busy. I haven't picked up a crafting tool in nearly a month! ACK!
That's the business I'm in though. Retail is crazy until after the holidays.

Just today I addressed my Christmas cards.
Now to pick up a little something for my team at work ;)

Here is a card I created using one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches.
Stamps and dies are from PTI Papertrey Ink

Out on a Limb

Hello!

Last week I ordered a few new goodies from the MFT release and I was thrilled to have two days off in a row this week to get inky!

I can't seem to put this Out on a Limb set down ;)

Here are a few cards I created over the past couple of days using it.

This first one was created for two challenges. The Sweet Sunday Sketch and the Paper Players theme of a masculine birthday.

This next one I created for my husband who's my rock and always there for me

This next one is from the SCS sketch this week.

This last one uses the Freshly Made Sketch. I used a circle rather than a tag for my focal point.

Really, You Are! AMAZING!

I am SO looking forward to tomorrow.
First day off in over a week :)
Getting inky hasn't been in the cards as of late. Come tomorrow I'm going to try and smash out quite a few cards!

Here's a card I created awhile back using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
