Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Well it looks like we are in for a winter wonderland starting tonight and tomorrow!
There is a winter storm warning out :(
I'm already dreading my drive to work tomorrow....lol
Oh well, hopefully it won't last long as we'll be well above freezing by Thursday!!! Yeah!
Tonight I had a few minutes to make a quick card for the colour challenge on SCS.
Pear Pizzazz, Kraft and White
I pulled out the In The Meadows Die from PTI.
These dies make such quick and easy cards....love it.
I added a bit of sparkle again to the hills.
Thanks for stopping by!

O Christmas Tree

Well now that it's less than one month until Christmas we are in full swing here at the Easton house!
Christmas decorations are up outside and the decorating will being inside this week!
I love bringing out all my snowmen and finding homes for them :)
We had some WICKED winds here in Calgary again yesterday with wind gusts between 100 - 149 Km/Hr. Crazy eh?
Our christmas lights survived!!
After tidying up the house in the morning I took a little break to stamp!
Karen had another wonderful sketch posted.
Sweet Sunday Sketch #145.
Here I used the Verve stamp set called O Christmas Tree along with the new Winter Fun Die Set.
Stamps: O Christmas Tree; Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, Vanilla, So Saffron, Echo Park DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Winter Fun Die Set, Circle Nesties, Sewing, Dimensionals

May Every Part of Your Day Have Happy In It

Yesterday I had no time to stamp.
Well maybe that's not exactly true. I did in the evening but after a busy day of shopping and hanging the outdoor lights I was exhausted!
I do plan on sitting in the basement today and create at some point.
This card below was made earlier this month but I don't recall sharing it here with you.
I think I was just using up some scrap paper. It could have been for a challenge but I can't recall what.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Snow Day

Happy Weekend!

Today the Crazy 4 Challenges Girls are Dreaming of a White Christmas C4C115
This week we'd like you to use snow.

I decided to pull out one of my favourite Pure Innocence girls.
I've used the MFT sketch for my layout as well.
Looking at this now I think I should have added some stitching but oh well, it's done ;)
Be sure to stop by all the Crazies blogs(links on the right) and also the C4C blog and play along. Then post your link to your creation under the Mr. Linky.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Glad Tidings

Good Friday Morning!
Hooray for the weekend!
I shouldn't really complain because this week FLEW by!
Before we know it it'll be Christmas!
30 days away now....wow!

I had to use that cute little reindeer from Verve's Santa's Helper one more time :)
See that tree? It's a new die from Verve called Winter Fun Die Set and I used a sentiment from Glad Tidings.
My layout comes from Sankari's Viva La Verve November Week 4 sketch.
Stamps: Santa's Helper, Glad Tidings; Cardstock: Kraft, Old Olive, Jillibean Soup DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Winter Fun Die Set, Button, Twine, Stickles, Ribbon, Pearls, Dimensionals

Christmas Delivery

I was so excited when I got home last night and found my Verve package had arrived! YIPPEE!
Canada Post must have decided they'd had them long enough...haha!
Isn't this cute little Santa's Helper stamp adorable?!
SCS had a really simple CAS sketch and I thought it would be perfect for this little guy.
Stamps: Santa's Helper; Cardstock: SnoCone, White, DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Scallop Die, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals, Spica Pen
To all my American friends I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!

Warm Winter Wishes

It's been a wonderful couple of days here in Calgary.
We are Chinooking! Yesterday my car temp said it over 50F. Hard to believe last weekend it was -15F with windchill. Pretty good shift in temps eh?

I can't remember why I made this card. I think it was for LAST week's SCS sketch. I had forgotten to share it here on my blog.
It uses a newer MFT image. Fun!
Ok I must run and get ready for work!
Hope you have yourself a fabulous day!

Some Bunny's Been Naughty

hehe...I love that sentiment ;)
Sunday morning it was bitterly cold and I had no intentions of going anywhere but the basement to stamp.
A few days earlier I had come across this adorable stamp from The Cat's Pajamas and hadn't managed to create anything with it. Well instead of filing it away again, I decided to look up the TCPTues185 sketch from last week.
Gathered up some Jillibean Soup papers and got busy!
I really like how this one came out.
Now to figure out who will receive it!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT day!

Monday 21 November 2011

Happy Monday and happy back to work day for me :)
After the past couple of FRIGID weather days here I really needed to make something that makes me dream of Spring.
Yesterday morning I played along with the Featured Stamper on SCS.
Tenia has a great CAS style. I chose to case her butterfly card.
I added a couple of extra layers and some stitching.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you have a wonderful start to the week :)

My Heart Belongs To You

On Friday there was a wonderful Viva La Verve Sketch November Week 3 posted by Tosh.
I was happy to help make a sample for her.
It's a GREAT layout and one I'll be using again very soon ;)
Here I used the Jotted Heart die along with the Love Notes stamp set from Verve.
Stamps: Love Notes; Cardstock: Kraft, Riding Hood Red, My Mind's Eye DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Twill, Jotted Heart Die, Sewing, Dimensionals

In The Meadow We Can Build a Snowman

Today the Crazy Girls have a wonderful challenge!
Black, White and WOW!
The WOW being any colour of your choice along with B & W.

I chose one of my favourite colours. Aqua.
My friend Karen had ordered me these new dies and stamps from PTI and I was so excited to use them!
I have an obsession with snowmen in case you hadn't noticed lately on my blog ;)
I stamped the snowman and sentiment from In The Meadow in white craft and embossed in white as well.
The hills were created with the In The Meadow dies. A little bit of ultra fine glitter was added the the hill tops.
Now aren't you excited to see what all the girls have created?!
Stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and take a peek!
Then be sure to go back and link up your creation so we can see it!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful weekend!
If you are in Alberta...stay warm!

SCS Ways To Use It Challenge

Good Friday Morning!
Wow this week has flown by :(
Only a few days until I return to work.
I think I'll get more rest going back to work...lol This past week has been so busy!

Yesterday morning while doing the laundry and before going to the bottle depot, I created two cards for the Ways To Use It Challenge - Baby, It's Cold Outside.
Oh and it's COLD here... -15C this morning....brrrrr!
I promise to put this adorable snowman away soon! I think it's my ALL TIME favourite image from MFT!!!
I added some Clear Glaze pen to the image, just as Michele did here on her card. Love the look!
This next one uses another new image from MFT. I thought of Chloe when they were sneak peekin' this one last month. I'm not sure about that Loopy Blooms Die :(
I wanted it SO badly but I think it might be too bulky. It does look pretty though!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a GREAT Friday!

Holiday Hugs

Wow have I been busy this week! There is NO relaxing on this vacation. I suppose to relax I needed to go away...lol
At the beginning of the week I had a 11 item To Do List....now I'm down to two things! Yippee!

I have a couple of quick cards to share with you using this adorable Snowman.

This first one was created for Tuesday's Colour Challenge on SCS.
Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.
I decided to watercolour once again.
This next one was created for the sketch challenge on SCS.
I chose to make a square card so I could accommodate the cute image.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day!

A Day To Remember

Yesterday while waiting for the furnace cleaners to arrive I sat down to stamp.
I've been stalking my mailbox for the past week waiting for my Verve order to arrive but I couldn't wait any longer to play along with the Mojo 215 sketch....lol
I am sure Canada Post/Customs loves making me squirm every time I order from the US.
Buggers, eh?
I decided to pull out the Sunny Days set.
I stamped the flower onto designer paper and added a bit of colour with my YR21 copic.
The leaves were stamped and cut using the Leafy Sprig Die.
Stamps: Sunny Days; Cardstock: Choice Buttercream, Smokey Shadow, MME Lost & Found DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Leafy Sprigs Die, Button, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Thank You

Last Friday I had some stampy time in the morning so I played along with the F4A Challenge.
It was to make a thank you card and also use your fave embellishment.
Really? Choose just one?
Well I love to use my paper piercer for holes when the image panel just needs something.
I wasn't sure if that was a legal embellishment....lol....so I added another fave....ribbon.
I've made a good dent in my to do list this week!
Today my furnace is getting cleaned so until the dude leaves I probably won't be stamping.
After that....look out!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Monday 14 November 2011

Snow Much Fun!!! Really!

I just adore this snowman from Snow Much Fun!
So much in fact that I made several different cards using him last week.
First up was a second card I made for the Crazy 4 Challenge #113.
I coloured him with Copics and added some glitter.
The next one was for one of the VSN challenge on SCS Friday evening.
Create a white card with lots sparkle AND the only colour could come from your image.
I found this one super hard! I love my pattern paper and use it on almost every card I create.
This was coloured with Copics.
This one was for another VSN challenge of making a card about your favourite holiday song. Also you had to use at least two layers and two embellishments.
Love the look of stamping and colouring with copics on kraft cardstock!
Lastly, this one was created for no special reason other than I wanted to try my hand at watercolouring. It's been a LONG time since I have done this technique. Interestingly, I had several people favour this card on SCS. Not sure why....lol as it's super simple!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

You Warm My Heart

Hello :)

Have you been playing along with the VSN challenges that were posted on Friday evening on SCS?
Yesterday I managed to get them completed and I'll share them this week.
I think this is my favourite so I'll start with it....lol
This was the first challenge I believe.
To make something warm and cozy and all bundled up. With an added twist of using felt.
I reached for one of my favourite PI girls and the Taylored Expressions Tree Die.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I plan on doing a lot of stamping and watching TV today.
Race Day, Football and Hockey tonight!
Go Gordon, Go Eskimos and Go Oilers!

Snow Fun!

I'm back today with the Crazy 4 Challenges - A Triple Threat Card C4C113

Use three dies/punches, three papers and three embellishments.

Since I'm still in need of wintery cards to hand out this holiday season I reached for this super cute PI girl and some fun designer papers.
Layout comes from this weeks MFT sketch challenge.
Please be sure to stop by the C4C blog and play along. Don't forget to leave your link there so we can all see your creations!!

We are expecting snow this weekend....so I will spend my time inside stamping ;)
Have a GREAT day!

Love U

It's the first day of my 10 day vacation and I'm LOVING it!
This week Jackie is the hostess of the Viva La Verve November Week 2 Sketch.
I had really wanted to use some new stamps but darn customs seems to be holding them hostage again :(

Since they didn't arrive I decided to pull out the fabulous You and I stamp set along with the I Heart U die set.
I love those dies!! So much fun!
I hope you'll play along with the sketches!
I know as soon as my package arrives....I'm going to be busy stamping again!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday 10 November 2011

Thanks So Very Much

Gosh I've done a lot of stamping this week!
It's been wonderful!
Monday I created this card for the Mojo #214 sketch.
I used several Verve goodies to create this CAS(at least to me) card.
The sentiment was stamped from the Making a Statement set and die cut with the Classy Label Die.
Some felt flowers were cut out using the Loopy Blooms Die.
Stamps: Making a Statement; Cardstock: Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, DSP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Classy Label Die, Loopy Blooms Die, Ribbon, Copics, Button, Twine, Dimensionals, Pearls

Friendship Warms The Heart

Yeah for Wednesday!!
Work today and tomorrow and then I'm on vacation!!
Although we aren't going anywhere it will still be wonderful to have some time off :)
Sunday afternoon I created this card to add to my Chrismtas stash.
I'm making cards for all of my Beauty and Health supervisors(40) again this year.
There are several that do not celebrate Chrismtas BUT I didn't want to exclude them in any way.
So that's where cards like the ones below come in.

December 25th TLC350

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday I had a sick kid at home and lucky for me a great deal of my work can be done from home on my laptop. After finishing my normal Monday reporting I had a little extra time.
So while Chloe napped I stamped.
Joan had a fun TLC challenge on SCS to create a card with no stamping or digi images.
I reached for the numbers in the By The Numbers set from MFT.
Designer paper is from Teresa Collins.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Welcoming Winter

As pretty as fresh snow is, it gets old real quick!
We had a light dusting on Friday which made the roads and driving treacherous.
People just need to SLOW down.
Since it wasn't all the nice this weekend, only around the freezing mark, I stayed in.
Stamping was how I spent my time. Not that I'm complaining....lol
I managed to make several cards and even addressed some :)

This card below was made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from yesterday.
Fairly quick and simple to create.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great start to your week!

Special People

It's been a pretty quiet weekend around our house. Not having to be anywhere or do anything has been wonderful!
Friday there was a new Viva La Verve sketch posted by Amy.
I was a little intimidated by it at first. Wasn't sure what to do with all the circles.
Decided I'd make another rosette for one of them.
The stamp set is called Feel The Sun and it's from Verve.
Stamps: Feel The Sun; Cardstock: Kraft, October Afternoon Sidewalks; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Sewing Machine, Spica Pen, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals
Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

Best Husband Ever - Sketch For You To Try

Good Saturday Morning!

Please scroll down to see my Crazy 4 Challenges post as well :)

It's the first Saturday of November which means Jen has a new Sketch For You To Try.
This month Verve is her sponsor and lucky for me she shared her sketch early.
I used several Verve goodies to create the card below for my husband.
I started by cutting a piece of kraft cardstock with the Rounded Scallop Frame Die. Using a piece of pattern paper I stamped the flower from Kind Words and sentiment from Dad's Day before cutting it using the Rounded Rectangle Die.
The bottom strip of kraft cardstock was stamped with a sentiment from Text Objects.
Stamps: Text Objects, Dad's Day, Kind Words; Inks: Choc Chip, Certainly Celery, Real Red; Accessories: Rounded Rectangle Die, Rounded Scallop Frame Die, Corner Chomper, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend!

Warmest Wishes for a Glowing Holiday Tag

Hello and happy weekend!

I was tickled pink to receive an email from Frances earlier this week asking if I'd like to join the Crazy 4 Challenges team!
Things have finally settled down for me and I have a lot more spare time to do design team stuff so I jumped at the chance!
For those of you that haven't played along with the C4C team before please check them out.

This week we were challenged to Wrap It Up!
With the holidays fast approaching, let's see how you'll give a gift that personal touch.
Like boxes, tags, bags, gift card holders....you get the idea :)

I decided to create a gift tag.
Here I have used several different products from PTI, MFT and Taylored Expressions.
The tag began with a piece of kraft cardstock cut with the PTI Favor It Box #3. I cut off the bottom/side piece as I obviously was not creating a box ;)
I layered on some pattern papers from Echo Park's Season's Greetings.
The rosette was created by hand as I don't have a die for that...yet!
The sweet little felt bird was cut using the MFT Contempo Birdcage.
Sentiment comes from the Taylored Expressions Tag Treats.
Some sewing, dimensionals and ribbon finish it off.

Now that you've had a chance to see what I created this week I hope you'll join us!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas List

I had this cute little PI girl coloured on my table and thought I'd use her to put together a card last night.
Here's another Christmas card to add to my pile ;)

The layout comes from the MFT sketch #44.
Added a little bit of Spica Pen to her heart and shoes.
Thanks for stopping by today!
