Hello :)

Holy cow!
September!
Where did the summer go?!
It's like a switch was flipped this week and suddenly the trees are starting to change and before I know it, we'll be raking leaves.
I actually enjoy fall and welcome it :)

Here is another card I created using the Freshly Made Sketch #200.
Flower dies are from Taylored Expressions and the Hello die is from AveryElle.

We Make The Perfect Blend - DS137

Wednesday turned out to be a good crafty afternoon for me!
I decided to put off doing the laundry in favour of getting a little inky :)

Jen had posted the Deconstructed Sketch early on Facebook and I totally took advantage of it!
Once again I decided to go with the Taylored Expressions stamp and die set called Joe to Go.
Thanks for stopping by today!

We Make The Perfect Blend!

Hello :)

Long time no see!
I've thought about just shutting my blog down because I haven't had the time to create like I used to.
BUT
I'm going to start making time to do the things I love.
Spending time with my family, stamping, reading, baking....
It's all about finding that balance :)

Today was the first time in a couple of weeks that I could get into my stamp room.

Looking up a couple of challenges I created the card below.

I ordered from Taylored Expressions weeks ago and this was the first time I opened my package! What a shame!
Here I've used the fun die and stamp set called Joe To Go.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope Your Day Is Par-fect!

Hello :)

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Ours has been fairly relaxing. Just what I needed after last week at work.

Today I'm hoping to spend most of the day stamping while watching the Nascar race.
Always a GREAT way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Yesterday I caught up on a few challenges and started creating cards for upcoming ones ;)
Getting ahead is always a must on weekends.

The Freshly Made Sketch #88 was perfect for a Father's Day CAS card I am in need of.
Searching through some old sets I came upon the Taylored Expressions set called Boys Will Be Boys.
As you can see I turned the sketch.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day

Happy weekend!!!

It's raining here so this will be the perfect time to do a little spring cleaning around the house.
Actually I have a basement to clean out and a spare room to set because my parents will be here for a visit middle of June!
Of course you know I'll sneak a little bit of stamping at some point ;)

Last weekend I created this card for the Dynamic Duos Challenge #53 Pacific Point/Basic Black
and
Paper Players Challenge #146 of CAS with a masculine theme

Stamp and sentiment is from Taylored Expressions called Boys Will Be Boys

Get Well Soon - CAS

Sunday afternoon when I was finally able to sit down in my craft room I had a chance to play along with the Featured Stamper on SCS. This is another challenge I love to participate in each week. A few years back when I was lucky enough to be chosen as the Featured Stamper, I remember how excited I was to see so many of my cards being cased. Ever since that day, I've tried to play along weekly.
This week the lucky lady was Robin and the card that helped inspire my card can be found HERE.
I've used some Taylored Expressions stamps and dies to create this CAS card.

Sorry I Missed Your Birthday

I realized last week that I missed one of my co-workers birthdays and well...that just can't happen! Now that everyone knows I create cards I think it's necessary and expected that they receive one. Don't you agree?
I think this card would make a fabulous Mother's Day card as well!
Stamps and dies are from Taylored Expressions set called Oops A Daisy.
Cute eh?
I used the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder on the Lemon cardstock. Flowers were stamped in Memento ink and coloured with a few different copics and then die cut.
Speaking of Mother's Day I have a few card orders already! Best get on those this weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by!
See you tomorrow with my Deconstructed Sketch and also Seize The Birthday challenge cards.

Happy Birthday - Dynamic Duos #47

The Dynamic Duos have a pretty colour combo for us this week :)
Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler Challenge #47
The cool thing about the Dynamic Duos team is that you don't have to use EXACT colours..
Even though I have a lot of Pool Party I decided to use the MFT SnoCone which is a little lighter in colour but just as pretty!

Stamps: Pretty PoppiesPaper: White, Cherry Cobbler, SnoConeInk: Cherry CobblerAccessories: Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate, Taylored Expressions Elegant Butterflies, MFT border die, White Satin Ribbon, Hot glue gun

Christmas Tags

Good Tuesday Morning!
Today I have a set of little gift tags that I created with scraps of designer paper that were on my table.
Kraft cardstock was cut using the Tag, You're It Die from MFT. Some pieces of Echo Park designer paper was sewn to some Riding Hood Red cardstock. The corners were rounded with the Corner Chomper.
The tree was cut with the Taylored Expressions Trim The Tree Die and green felt.
Some ribbon, twill, buttons and linen thread finish them off.

You Warm My Heart

Hello :)

Have you been playing along with the VSN challenges that were posted on Friday evening on SCS?
Yesterday I managed to get them completed and I'll share them this week.
I think this is my favourite so I'll start with it....lol
This was the first challenge I believe.
To make something warm and cozy and all bundled up. With an added twist of using felt.
I reached for one of my favourite PI girls and the Taylored Expressions Tree Die.
Fun!
Thanks for stopping by today!
I plan on doing a lot of stamping and watching TV today.
Race Day, Football and Hockey tonight!
Go Gordon, Go Eskimos and Go Oilers!

Warmest Wishes for a Glowing Holiday Tag

Hello and happy weekend!

I was tickled pink to receive an email from Frances earlier this week asking if I'd like to join the Crazy 4 Challenges team!
Things have finally settled down for me and I have a lot more spare time to do design team stuff so I jumped at the chance!
For those of you that haven't played along with the C4C team before please check them out.

This week we were challenged to Wrap It Up!
With the holidays fast approaching, let's see how you'll give a gift that personal touch.
Like boxes, tags, bags, gift card holders....you get the idea :)

I decided to create a gift tag.
Here I have used several different products from PTI, MFT and Taylored Expressions.
The tag began with a piece of kraft cardstock cut with the PTI Favor It Box #3. I cut off the bottom/side piece as I obviously was not creating a box ;)
I layered on some pattern papers from Echo Park's Season's Greetings.
The rosette was created by hand as I don't have a die for that...yet!
The sweet little felt bird was cut using the MFT Contempo Birdcage.
Sentiment comes from the Taylored Expressions Tag Treats.
Some sewing, dimensionals and ribbon finish it off.

Now that you've had a chance to see what I created this week I hope you'll join us!
Thanks for stopping by today!

It's Pink - HYCCT1128

Hello :)

Last week Jami emailed asking if I'd be interested in make a sample for her challenge that she was hosting for a Hope You Can Cling To Challenge on SCS.
Of course I jumped onboard right away!

Jami's challenge was to create a holiday/winter/Christmas card with any shade of pink!
If you play along and upload to SCS please be sure to use keyword HYCCT1128

I love making non-traditional holiday cards and decided to make two.
My first card uses a new A la Carte from Taylored Expressions called Snow.
Stamps: Snow A la Carte; Cardstock: White, Intense Prism Pink, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Scalloped Edge, Copics, Glitter, Snowflake Punch, White Sparkly Candy Dot, Dimensionals
My second card is a pretty quick and simple one with no stamping but I was able to use one of my new Taylored Expressions Dies called Trim The Tree. It's pretty in pink isn't it?!
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, White, Echo Park DP; Accessories: Trim The Tree Die, Sewing Machine, Buttons, Twine, Dimensionals, Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges!

We Are Friends Forever, in Sunshine and in Shade

Good Morning!
I forgot to write up my blog post before heading to the Oiler vs Flames game last night.
We had a blast!!
Sat right behind the goalie in first row. Freaky when those pucks are flying at you. I'll admit to flinching a few time ;)

This card below was made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
Instead of using a banner in the top left corner I went with some flat bottom clouds from MFT.
The image is an old fave of mine from Taylored Expressions called Branching Out.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT day!

Baby Fresh

Good Morning!

Are you as glad as I am that it's almost the weekend?
This week has felt super long and been super exhausting!
Not that my weekend will be any less busy but I'll be doing fun things.
Like going to the Calgary Stampede!!! Yeehaw!

Today the TE sketch crew are sharing samples made with the TESC142 which was drawn up by Lori!
You can find all the details on Taylor's blog and in the Taylored Expressions forum on SCS.

I tried thinking outside the box this week.
I created this sweet baby card using the Hangin' Out set.
Want to see what the girls have created? I'm sure you do ;)
Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Home is Where My Heart Is

Good Friday Morning!
Hope that you've had a great week.
It's been another busy one for me and the weekend doesn't look like it's going to slow down either....lol

This week the TESC141 had nice clean, crisp lines.
For my card I've used the Taylored Expressions set called Love Everywhere.

Let's see what the girl's have come up with this week....I know it'll be GREAT!
Taylor has a special going on right now.....check it out!
