My Time to Create-Inspiration Challenge

Today I'm sharing my challenge card for the My Time To Create Challenge that Lauren hosts each week. This week we have an inspiration piece. Lauren took the guess work out of it for us with the colours too...love that!
I never seem to have enough Thank You cards kicking around and I've used up most of my stash for all the teacher's last week. I loved the colours but I did have a hard time making them come together. I inked up the floral image from Thoughts & Prayers with my SU! markers and the sentiment comes from Trendy Trees.
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Trendy Trees; Cardstock: Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Old Olive, Pomegranate, WW and DP; Inks: Old Olive, Rose Red, So Saffron; Accessories: White Brads, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals, Pomegranate Ribbon
Stop by the My Time Team Blogs to see how the inspiration piece inspired them!
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to the zoo with Chloe and a couple of friends!

Howdy! My Time Challenge

Happy Saturday!!
I'm so excited that the weekend is HERE!!! I have two days to just relax and stamp if I want to....ahhhhh paradise eh?
Today is Lauren's My Time To Create Challenge and this week it's a colour challenge.
I decided to use Really Rust, Old Olive, More Mustard and Choc Chip for my colours.

Of course I wanted to use a Weiman Wrangler again too! This is Cowboy Ethan. You can buy the digi image HERE and all proceeds will be going to the Make A Wish Foundation.
While you are on the Pink Cat Studio web page...take a look at the total raised so far!!! It's amazing!! Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the images!
Digi Images: Cowboy Ethan; Cardstock: PTI white, Really Rust, Old Olive, Choc Chip, More Mustard DSP; Accessories: Copics, Star punches, Oval Nesties, Ribbon, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Antique Brad, Dimensionals
Now stop on by the My Team To Create Blogs(listed on my right side bar) and see what fabulous creation they came up with...I know it's amazing ;)
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
ETA: Brenda just asked about using the digi image and I thought I'd answer here in case others have questions too :) When you download the image you can resize it to ANY size you like which is a nice feature...especially with sentiments that you want smaller to fit into say a punch you'd like to use. As for what I print on....it's usually just white cardstock. My printer doesn't like THICK cardstock so I usually use Whisper White, GinaK, Taylored Expressions or even Georgia Pacific from Walmart...lol
Hope I've helped Brenda...if not...shoot me an email!

Cowboy Ethan & Cowgirl Ava

Good Morning!
I have some EXCITING stuff to share with you today!

Last week our dear friend and fellow My Time Team member, Alicia lost her son.
Ethan was super special and you can read up on it all here on Alicia's blog. She is amazing.

Lauren is such a giving person and wanted to do something to honour Ethan's memory. She teamed up with Melissa from Pink Cat Studio to design some digi images called Cowboy Ethan and Cowgirl Ava. All proceeds from these images will go to the Make a Wish Foundation. Stop by the Pink Cat Studio page HERE that Melissa set up to read all the details.

Here are a couple samples I made with the images.
Digi Images: Cowboy Ethan; Cardstock: Choc chip, Old olive, White and Scenic route dp; Inks: Copics; Accessories: Nesties, Brads, HPH, Ribbon, Small Star punch, Dimensionals
This one uses both Cowgirl Ava and Cowboy Ethan. Being that these are digi images you can take them into your photo editing program and move them around. I choose to put them together and made it look like they were holding hands.
Digi Images: Cowboy Ethan, Cowgirl Ava; Cardstock: White, Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa, DP; Inks: Copics; Accessories: Nesties, HPH, Wavy Border Punch, Dimensionals

Here is what I created for the challenge. I REALLY like how it came out. I don't normally say that but I felt I stepped out of my box a little and it wasn't so scary after all....haha!
I know the animal in the photo looks more like a turtle but I don't have one so an elephant it is!
Stamps: Wild About You; Cardstock: White, Close To Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red; Inks: Riding Hood Red, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Certainly Celery; Accessories: Circle Nesties, Mat pack and Paper piercer, White Organdy Ribbon, Circle Punches, Scallop Edge Punch, Buttons, Linen thread, Dimensionals, Scor pal

It's my weekend to work so I'm going to have very little stamping time. Bummer eh?

My Time to Colour Challenge

Good Morning!
Today I am off to the Edmonton Extravaganza III!!!! Should be a fun filled day meeting tons of new friends from SCS!!
This week Lauren has a My Time to Colour Challenge. Be sure to visit her blog to link up your card to the Mr. Linky and everyone can visit you afterward :)
This is a sample of what the My Time Team created:

The colours I got from this were:
-Purely Pomegranate
-Temp. Turq
-So Saffron
-Groovy Guava
-Certainly Celery
I am lucky enough to have a good buddy....Denise... who shares her Whipper Snapper images with me....lol and I thought this image would be super sweet to use today! Thanks Denise~!
The colours frightened me a little so I went ultra simple here....colour blocking!
The tilted squares were a happy mistake....I had first taped the Pomegranate square straight and when I let go of the white base...it flipped a bit and the other layers(which were just sitting there) tilted and I thought it looked better that way....so I ripped off the Pomegranate layer and started fresh! This card is a 5" Square.
Stamps: Whipper Snapper; Cardstock: PTI white, Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery, Temp. Turq, So Saffron; Ink: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Rhinestones, Circle Nesties, Dimensionals, Stardust Stickles
Now stop by the My Time Team to see what fabulous creations they have to share:
Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be gone most of the day but I will catch up with you all tonight! To my American friends....hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Good Morning!

Good Morning!
Here's a sneak peek of what the My Time Saturday Challenge girls have created!
This week Lauren is asking us to use one of her Timeless Templates and create a birthday gift that includes either a butterfly or is purple...or both...like I did! There are FREE templates available so give it a whirl!
For my sample I decided to use the FREE Recipe Wrap Up Template along with both purple and butterflies in my design! I'll be giving this to a friend who has an upcoming birthday...hope she will like it! I've used the Verve set called Beautiful Kindness.
Stamps: Beautiful Kindness; Cardstock: Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon, Vintage Cream and DP; Inks: Plum Pudding; Accessories: Oval Nesties, Scallop Edge Punch, Kaiser Rhinestones, May Arts Ribbon
Here is the inside. I printed off the calendar sheets and decorated each pocket with the Martha Stewart Layering Daisy Punch and a Kaiser Rhinestone.
Stop by to see what the others have created too:
Before heading out the door yesterday morning I took a quick peek to see what the Limited Supply Challenge was. I'm glad I did! It was to make a beachy card.
You had to use ONE imge that was beach related.
You could use ONE embellishment.
You could use ONE sentiment.
Of course you were supposed to limit the layers...if you could ;)
I used the super cute Sugarplum's Emma from All That Scraps and also AmyR's Beach Sentiments.
Stamps: Sugarplum's Emma, AmyR's Beach Sentiments; Cardstock: White, Saffron and DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Saffron Ribbon, Eyelet border punch, Dimensionals

Saturday is full of friendship!

Happy Saturday!
I've got a few things to share again today!
It's time for a new My Time Challenge. This week Lauren has chosen to do an inspiration which you can see below. Here is a collage of what the girl's have created!
Here is the Inspiration Piece:
I started off by selecting these colours....
Almost Amethyst, Sahara Sand, White and Black. I saw flower and a little bit of bling around the top of the dress.
So I decided to use a new stamp set from H & M Stamps called Seeds of Kindness.
Stamps: Seeds of Kindness; Cardstock: PTI white, Almost Amethyst, Sahara Sand, Black; Inks: Black and Almost Amethyst; Accessories: Nesties, Ribbon, Rhinestones, Eyelet Border Punch, Dimensionals
Stop by the My Time To Create Girl's Blogs:
I was so excited to see Taylors TECC67 sketch yesterday because I have been wanting to ink up the tie image from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. I've used the Father's Day Key Ingredient kit to put this card together. I LOVE how it all matches and takes the guess work out of making a card...lol
You can find all the stamps and KI kits at Taylored Expressions.
Stamps: Boys Will Be Boys; Cardstock: Buttercream, Prism, DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Black pen, Buttons, Linen Thread, Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals
The Limited Supply Challenge yesterday was called THAT'S a Holiday? Yep...you guessed it....we could choose any wacky holiday from the month of May and make a card about it. No other limits...which means there shouldn't be any rule breakers...right Denise ;)
I chose to do a card on the May 16th holiday called Love a Tree Day.
This Season of Friendship stamp set is a favourite of mine and I'll never ever part with it!
Stamps: Season of Friendship; Cardstock: Tangerine, Choc chip, WW and Hawaiian Papaya DP; Inks: Choc chip, Old olive, Kiwi kiss, Tangerine; Accessories: Mat pack and paper piercer, Curly label punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed what I had to share!
