Limited Supplies

Good Friday Afternoon!
Wow it's been a busy day! This morning I was able to do a couple quick cards for the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS before leaving to do some volunteer stuff at the school. I also combined the cards with another challenge as well. This first one is using Beate's Weekend Sketch. I pulled out my favourite Boatloads of Love set but this time I didn't watercolour it....I used my Copic Markers. The LSC on SCS was to use a stamp in place of hardware....so I used the clouds/puffs of smoke as my brads....can you picture cloud brads? LOL...
Stamps: Boatloads of Love; Cardstock: Bashful Blue, WW and Cutie Pie DP; Inks: Adirondack Black; Accessories: Copic Markers, Circle Nesties, CB embossing folder, Dimensionals
This card covers both the Limited Supply challenge and the MFT sketch 31 on SCS. I used the Ms. Sheriff stars in place of some star brads.
Stamps: Ride 'em Cowgirl; Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, WW and Berry Bliss DP; Inks: Adirondack Espresso; Accessories: Copic Markers, Small and Lg Oval Punches, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'm sure tired and really just want to nap but soon it will be dinner, sleep will have to wait ;)

No Stamping Limited Supplies Challenge Card

Sorry I'm late posting. It's been another busy day. The field trip with Chloe was fantastic yesterday. The kids really enjoyed all the different musical instruments at the Symphony.
I have been busy making some gifts for the staff at school but can't show those just yet because I know a few of them visit my blog ;)
This card below was made with some scraps from the project though.
Todays SCS Limited Supply Challenge was NO stamping!!
I pulled out those Sale A Bration Rub Ons and got to work. Thought I could use the DP pieces on my table and make it into a patchwork card.
Stamps: None; Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi; Ink: None; Accessories: Rectangle Nesties, White Gel Pen, SU! clear button, 1", 3/4" circle punch, Dimensionals, SAB rub ons
Thanks for looking!

Limited Supply Challenge Cards

Happy Good Friday!
Since it's a holiday we are all home today. We thought it'd be nice to all hang out together and maybe do some things around the house. Instead, Brian is playing his World of Warcraft on the MAC, Chloe has been playing in her room and on the laptop, I'm in the basedump STAMPING!
I did run out to a couple LSS that were open today....got tons of new American Crafts DP!! Can't wait to use some of that real soon!
These two cards are both for todays Limited Supply Challenge on SCS.
You were to make 2 to 4 cards using the same stamps, 3 cardstocks(white being one of them), 1 Designer Paper(double sided is a bonus) and you could use ANY embellishments. The idea was to see how you can get a different look from the same basic supplies.
I decided to use the MFT Serenity Now set. I had some of the Afternoon DP on the table from yesterdays card so I used that. Figured I would colour the images the same and use the same sentiment.
Stamps:MFT Serenity Now
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Choc Chip, WW and Afternoon DP
Inks: Adirondack Espresso, Choc Chip
Accessories: Copic Markers, Word Window Punch, Striped Wasabi Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
Stamps:MFT Serenity Now
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Choc Chip, WW and Afternoon DP
Inks: Adirondack Espresso, Choc Chip
Accessories: Copic Markers, Word Window Punch, Dimensionals, 1"Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Silver Brads
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Papertrey Cards and Limited Supplies

Good Friday Morning!
I haven't decided if I'm happy it's the weekend just yet....
All week they have been calling for snow and colder weather once the weekend approaches. I'm liking these above freezing temperatures and I think I've been on enough dates with the shovel already. I can honestly say, we don't like one another!
Today my SU! order is due to arrive...yipppeee!
In the meantime, I wanted to play with my new stuff from yesterday.
Today's challenge on SCS was to make a card using NO tools. So here is my first card!
I used the new Papertrey Aqua Mist and Designer Papers. Aren't they beautiful?!
I don't have the stamp pad to match so I used Soft Sky. It's a little light on the Aqua Mist so it's difficult to read....sorry!
Stamps: Papertrey Out on a Limb
Cardstock: Papertrey White, Aqua Mist and DP
Inks: Close to Cocoa and Soft Sky
Accessories: Dew Drops, Martha Stewart Ribbon, Dimensionals, Quickie Glue Pen
This card was made along the same lines as the first one but I added some paper piercing to the corner, therefore it won't be good for the challenge. BUT I did have fun making it anyway....lol
Stamps: Papertrey Out on a Limb
Cardstock: SU! So Saffron, Papertrey White, Aqua Mist and DP
Inks: Close to Cocoa and Soft Sky
Accessories: Martha Stewart Ribbon, Dimensionals, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you have a GREAT day!

You Float My Boat

OK I've just gotta say it.... THREE more sleeps!
I can't wait now....especially with the cold we are experiencing again...ugh!
Today the SCS is the Limited Supplies Challenge. You were to make a Non-Traditional Valentine.
These were the limits:
No flower stamps/cuttlebug/die cuts/rub ons, etc (any other CB shapes were fine)
No Heart stamps/cuttlebug/die cuts/rub ons, etc (any other CB shapes were fine)
No shades of red (that includes pink) ink, paper, ribbon, etc
Limited layers (try to keep it under 4)
embellishments are okay as long as they are not hearts/flowers or shades of red
I had made a card similar to this not too long ago...but used a red heart so it didn't qualify...lol Or I may have cheated and linked to it ;)
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I've got a tons of little things to do before we leave.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Limited Supplies Challenge Cards

Happy Friday everyone!
It's bitter cold here again. I'm not liking it very much. You know, it's that kind of cold that when you go outside and breathe, your nose hairs stick together....lol....OK maybe too much info? haha!
Anyway....let's move onto my cards!
This first one is a combo. It's for the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS and also for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.
I finally got this Hot Stuff Stamp Set from My Favourite Things this week. Couldn't wait to use it!! I stamped the image in Timber Brown Stazon on Watercolour Paper. Then coloured it in with an AquaPainter and my Watercolour Crayons. I forgot how nice they are to work with!!
Here is Sophia again ;)
She is one of the newest Paper Pretties Stamps.
She is stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with my blender pen and re-inkers.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you all have a FAB weekend ahead!

Some challenge cards

Thank goodness it is the weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing my friend, Karen, tomorrow! She is coming up to visit us and go to the Oilers vs Flames hockey game! We have front row seats along the boards...can't wait!
I don't want to be stamping while she is here so I'm going to try and get a few more challenges done after these ones so I'll have something to post this weekend ;)
This first card was done for Nancy Morgan's Paper Smiles challenge. She wanted us to make a Thanksgiving or Thank You card using DP and give it to someone. This is what I made for my friend Karen and will give it to her on Sunday when she goes home.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Stem Silhouettes
Cardstock: Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Fall Flowers DP
Inks: Old Olive
Accessories: Sponges, Organdy Ribbon, Ticket Punch, Antique Brads, Dimesionals
I received my Hanna Stamps a couple of weeks ago but this is the first chance I've had to use Hanna herself! Isn't she cute?! I really wanted to use this Designer Paper so I coloured Hanna with the same colours from the paper. I like the pink and blue card!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Hanna and Warmest Regards

Today on SCS is the Limited Supplies Challenge. Jen gives us some rules to follow and I try hard not to break them ;)

A) Use 2 to 3 stamps- one of them should be a heart image or sentiment
B) Choose either ONE...a Designer Paper or an Embellishment
C) Choose one specialty tool
D) Limit Layers
E) Use any colouring tools
I think I followed the rules pretty good this time! I used 3 different stamps from the Priceless set, chose Designer Paper, used the Paper Piercer.

Another productive day!

It was really nice to have a ton of time today to stamp! This morning started off rather chilly and I prefered to just stay inside and stamp! Todays Limited Supplies Challenge was to use Designer Paper(DP). You were to use NO background stamps or images, other than to use them as a border. You could use sentiments and any embellishments.
Honestly, the first card is Amethyst NOT blue....with the way the skies were this morning I couldn't get a good pic. I had wanted to use some purple primas too but couldn't find any to match this.
Supplies:
Stamp sets: Happy Harmony
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Barely Banana, WW and Amethyst Prints Paper
Inks: Amethyst
Accessories: Marvy Scallop Square Punches, Primas and Silver Brads
Don't you just love this Cutie Pie Designer Paper?!! It's one of my favourites for sure!
I have a lot of friends with winter birthdays(mine included) so I stamped this one with Happy Birthday!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: In The Spotlight and Warmest Regards
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Rose Red and Cutie Pie DP
Inks: Rose Red
Accessories: Snowflake Punch and Rich Regal Brads

Then this card was used with some of the leftover pieces! These snowflake punches and 5 petal flower punch are awesome with this stamp set! I'll be using this over and over!!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: In the Spotlight and Warmest Regards
Cardstock: Rose Red, WW and Cutie Pie DP
Inks: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Rose Red
Accessories: 5 petal flower punch, Snowflake Punch, Rich Regals and Soft Subtles Brads, Glue Dots

These next two pics are of some containers I found at Dollarama! Aren't they cool?! I have bought similar ones from IKEA for triple the price! I used up some of the scraps that were left from all the Halloween cards I have made. Found some of these gummy eyeballs to put inside....LOL Gross eh?! Oh well, grade 3 students will LOVE them!

I hope that all my Canadian friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend! I am looking forward to our big meal on Sunday. Sunday will be a GREAT day....great food, great friends, great racing, great crafting!!! Oh how I wish it was Sunday already!!!

Now to get onto all the blog challenges that I do each weekend!!

Oh and Brian and I will be working on all our garlands too!

Just a couple of challenge cards...

In case anyone was wondering...LOL...our Family BBQ at the school went GREAT! There was a thunderstorm about 15 mintues before it was to begin then the sun came out and the wind died down and it was awesome out! We had a pretty good turn out last night, considering it was only day 3 of school!
Today I was at school again most of the day. Had a nice chat with an old Chairperson and she helped me with a few things that I'll need to do as Chairperson of the BPA this year. I'm a little(who am I kidding, I'm a very nervous) about doing Chair this year. I am looking forward to getting to know some new faces though!
Anyway onto my cards. This first one was done earlier this week for the CPS(card positioning systems) layout! Check it out here.
Today on SCS it was Limited Supplies Challenge. You were to make a sympathy card. We all know how hard it is to make them when you MUST make them. So why not get some made ahead of time right?
We had another thunderstorm a bit ago and I couldn't get a good pic of this card. The flash had to be used and it made the Elegant Eggplant look much brighter than it really is....sorry!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Stem Silhouettes and Warmest Regards
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Mellowmoss and WW
Inks: Elegant Eggplant and Versamark
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon and Dimensionals

Limited Supplies Challenge

Today really was a challenge on SCS! Wow! For the Limited Supplies Challenge you had to do the following:
1. Use a stamp that hasn't seen ink in awhile
2. Choose an old Sketch
3. Choose an old Colour challenge
4. Two Embellishments
5. Any tools
So this is what I came up with! I know....I used THREE embellishments eh?! Well after I had it together I wanted something in the middle and realized that I had those tree brads that are the same as the Happy Holidays tree! So I had to add it ;)

I went with SC134 which was a Tent Topper Card and CC62 which was Bashful Blue, Choc chip and Close to Cocoa.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: The World Over, The Snowflake Spot and Riveting
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa and WW
Inks: Black Stazon, Bashful Blue, Choc Chip and SU! Markers
Accessories: Sponges, Brads, Ribbon, Coluzzle, 1"circle Punch, Ticket Corner Punch and Dimensionals

You know I don't know what I would do without SCS! I look forward to the daily challenges that are put out there by the girls!!! Friday's challenge is Limited Supplies. Today we were given a list of what we could use...and this is what I came up with!

My Mom had asked if I could make a book for a friend of hers. Sure! I thought it might be nice if I made it more of a gift set. So I pulled out one of the dollar books I had and some Chatterbox paper and went to work. I think she'll really like the set. Or at least I HOPE she does....LOL
I used Chatterbox DP, Whisper White, Perfect Plum, Old Olive Papers
