{heart} this

Holy cow!
Summer is flying by!
I can't believe it's August already.

Today I had the opportunity to play along with a few challenges!

1. Dare To Get Dirty Challenge
2. Paper Players making a square card
3. Sweet Sunday Sketch

I watercoloured a bit of pink and splatters for the background. The butterfly was created by mixing a few colours on a stamping block, spritzing and then smooshing it on a piece of watercolour paper. Once dry I die cut using a SU! framelit.

Stamps: Hip NotesPaper: White, Pretty In Pink, Watercolour Paper, Smoky SlateInk: Pretty In Pink, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Smoky SlateAccessories: Aqua Painter, Butterfly Framelits, Heart Framelits, Dimensionals

Enjoy Your Special Day

Good Friday Morning!

I am SOOOOOOOOO looking forward to the long weekend!
As of right now I don't know what our plans are.
I'll know shortly after noonish.....lol

Maybe a road trip is in order ;)

Chloe passed her Learner's License on Wednesday so Brian planned to take her driving for the first time!
I'm so proud of her!!!

I will have some stampy time at some point though!

Have you been playing along with the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SCS.
I was lucky enough to be asked by Angela to make a sample for her challenge :)
You have to be a fan club member to see and play along with the challenges.
This was the card I created:

Season's Greetings - Freshly Made Dare to Get Dirty

Good Tuesday Morning!

Have you been playing along with the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SCS?
You have to be a Club Member to view the challenges....sorry!

I created this card below using the Freshly Made Sketch #96 and the DTGD13TammieE challenge.
Since I still had another poinsettia flower on my table from the other day I decided to put it to use!
No point wasting such a pretty sparkly flower, right?

Home Is Where My Heart Is-Dare To Get Dirty

Yesterday afternoon inbetween doing some laundry, watching the race and some paperwork I snuck in some time to play along with a few of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SCS.

This one combines three challenges.

If you aren't a club member on SCS you won't be able to play :(
Sorry!
I actually really like how this card turned out. Seems whenever I really like something, nobody else does....lol

Stamps and dies are from MFT.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Noel

Well it's that time of year!

Dare to Get Dirty is ON!
I [heart] this time :)

This morning I combined two DTGD challenges and the Our Creative Corner challenge of using Aqua and Red.
I stamped Flopsey on kraft and coloured with copics.
Layered the SU! snowflake on the Heidi Swapp Ghost Snowflake and added a button and some aqua twine.
Pretty simple card!~

Have a great day!

Be Merry DTGD Card

Here is another card I made using the MME Be Merry paper pack. I didn't want to put them away just yet ;)

This card was made for three DTGD challenges from Cindy, Bev and Amber.

I don't know why I held off using the die cuts for so long! They help make a simple and quick card!

I'm off to the baby shower today but I'll be home with plenty of stamping time left in my day!

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

Snowmen in July DTGD

Ok so how many of you purchase those 12 x 12 designer packs with the cut outs at the back and never use them? Come on, I can't be the only one ;) LOL!

Well when I saw a couple of the DTGD challenges on SCS yesterday I knew I should use them. After all this Be Merry DP from My Mind's Eye is a couple holiday seasons old.

This card was super quick to make and combined THREE challenges! I used challenges from Cindy, Julie and Bev.

Cardstock: Kraft, Dark Blush Red Prism, MME Be Merry DP; Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Vanilla Brads, Red Satin Ribbon, Nesties, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!
P.S. I almost forgot to mention that I got a call for a SECOND interview! That is scheduled for August 4th(person hiring is on holidays next week)! Can't wait!

One Person DTGD Card

Earlier this week I was able to play along with a few more DTGD challenges on SCS.

I combined two challenges for this card. One from Sharon and one from Leigh.

It's been awhile since I used the October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP and I figured it was time to pull it out again.

The sentiments both come from the Verve set called One Person.

Stamps: One Person; Cardstock: Kraft, So Saffron, Vanilla, OA Fly a Kite DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Nesties, Buttons, Thread, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

It's a banner day!

Happy MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge Day!

Wow that was a mouthful, eh?!

This week it's all about banners. Earlier this month MFT released some cool new dies and stamps. One of which was a banner die that has layers. SO cool!

Being in Canada my packages take longer to get to me so my order has yet to arrive. Bummer eh?

Not a big deal though! You can create your own banner as I have! A couple snips off a rectangle and viola! You have a pennant shape!

For my card today I combined a couple of the DTGD challenges again!

Birthday Princess
from the Pure Innocence line was perfect to make a banner for. The word wish was done with some JustRite stamps and punched out with the 1/4" circle punch.

Stamps: PI Birthday Princess, JR; Cardstock: White, Dark Baby Pink Prism, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Yellow Stickles, Mini Rhinestones, Thread, Nestie, Dimensionals, White Candy Dots, 1/4" Circle Punch

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with us. The keyword for uploading to the SCS gallery is MFTWSC07212010. You will find all the details in the MFT Forum on SCS.

Stop by my challenge teammates blogs to see what fabulous eye candy they have to share as well!

Apple For You DTGD Card

I'm back today with another DTGD card! This one combines THREE challenges ;)

You can find the DTGD challenges HERE. You must be a Fan Club Member to view the challenges each day.

I have a few scraps of the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP to use up and this card was perfect for those!

The image is a Pure Innocence Girl called An Apple For You that I got at MFT. She's so sweet!

Thanks for stopping by today! Come back late tonight or early tomorrow for the MFT Wednesday Challenge! Hope you'll play along!

On another personal note....
Today I have an interview for a job within the company I currently work for but it's a bigger and better job with more responsibilities. I'm up for the challenge! Keep your fingers crossed for me! Thanks!

I can't share many details here but I do hope you'll play along with her challenge! You can find all the DTGD threads HERE. Remember you must be a Fan Club member on SCS to view these. If you aren't a member, what are you waiting for? This is a celebration for all you fan clubbers out there :)

Dare To Get Dirty Time!

Are you a fan club member on Splitcoaststampers? If you've been thinking about joining now would be the perfect time ;)

It's time for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges!

Each year the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni come up with some FABULOUS challenges! There is something for everyone!!

This card I made here is for Kim's sketch challenge that you can find here. You will only be able to see the challenges if you are a club member though. Sorry :(

There isn't much stamping on this card. I really wanted to use up some scraps of the October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP 8 x 8 pad I had sitting on my table.

I used the PTI flower die and a sentiment from Blooming Button Bits.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you can join in on the fun! I'm off to see what challenge I can do next!

I took a few minutes to make a card using Cindy's DTGD sketch. You know I love this stamp set, Season of Friendship! This card measures 5.5 x 5.5.

I was so excited when Laura asked me to make a sample for her challenge! You will have to visit the DTGD forum to read up on all the details though ;)
Remember you will need to be a Fan Club member to view everything though.
Here I used a cute image from a Taylored Expressions stamp set called Beary Special.
I stamped the image in Memento black ink and coloured with Copics. It's a nice, clean and simple card....with lots of paper piercing....lol
I hope you will play along with the challenges....they are so much fun! I only wish I had more time these days.
Stamps: Beary Special; Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, Riding Hood Red, White, Scenic Route DP; Ink: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle nesties, EK success wavy border punch, Mat pack and paper piercer, Dimensionals, White Brads

For now I want to show you a card I made for Cindy's DTGD sketch challenge yesterday.
This is almost a SU! only card...except I used my circle nesties instead of a circle cutter or coluzzle :)
Stamps: For All You Do; Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, WW and Cottage Wall DSP; Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive; Accessories: Circle Nesties, Scalloped Edge Punch, Silver Brads, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Good Monday Morning!

Good Monday Morning!
I'm done with the DTGD challenges...yah! What an AWESOME week that was!! Yesterday I finished up most of my Design Team stuff for the month of August and started my Dirty Dozen Gallery cards. Today I am going to continue working on the DD cards so I don't know how much I'll have to share tomorrow....oh who am I kidding....you know there will be stuff here....lol
This is a card I started for Carole's DTGD Yo Yo Yellow, Brilliant Blue and Real Red Challenge and I ended up combining it with Natasha's DTGD sketch.
These colours screamed summer to me! What better stamp to pull out but this girl from Put Your Goggles On! She is from Storage Units, Ink & More.
I stamped this card a couple of weeks ago and never could decide on a sentiment or figure out where to put it....so blank it is. This card uses the bleeding heart from Flourishes again. I love this stamp! Pink Pirouette looks really pretty with Chocolate Chip.
I just realized that with all the DTGD cards I shared here this past week, that I'd forgotten to share my sketch cards from Wednesday. Yes! I did those too! I admit though, by the end of the week I had a hard time keeping up with all the challenges....lol
I love this Designer Paper. It's so bright and fun! It's by WeRMemoryKeepers and is one of the White Collections.
I had to make a second card for the sketch. It's a fab layout! Doesn't this monkey want you to run out and get an ice cream cone???!!! He's from the CC Designs set called Sweet Treats and is available from All That Scraps.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Good Sunday Morning!

Good Sunday Morning!
First I'd like to wish my daughter a VERY happy 9th birthday today! I snapped this picture yesterday before she headed over to a friends house for a sleepover. They were going to watch the Hanna Montana 3D concert!

Wow...where is the time going! I've got so much to do....lol

Feels like yesterday that I was announced as one of the Dirty Dozen on SCS and yet it was nearly two weeks ago!! You know what that means....I've only got a couple more weeks to get projects for this months gallery done...haha! Now that the DTGD challenges are winding down, I can get busy on those and a few Design Team commitments too!

Here is an ALL SU! card that I made using Rose Ann's Flap card tutorial. You should check it out on SCS ;)

My sample card for Rose Ann's DTDG flap card challenge. I LOVE making these little cards...they are so cute and quick!! Of course I had to use one of my favourite monkeys from CC Designs Summertime Fun set!
I was so excited to find a little itty bitty piece of my ALL time favourite American Crafts DP in my scrap box!!! I knew immediately what cupcake stamp to use with it too ;) THIS one...haha...it's from Unity Stamps. The sketch for this card came from Jen's DTGD sketch challenge. I actually had a hard time with this one....couldn't decide if the orange layer should be big or small...the sketch shows small but everyone seemed to do big....guess I'm an odd ball eh?!
Another ALL SU! card! Figured it was time to pull out and dust off my Wanted and Bronc Buster sets....feels like forver since I last inked 'em up! This card was for Laura's DTGD Dirty challenge...lol
Today is the last day for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges to be posted....so come on over to SCS and play along! Remember you need to be a fan club member to get access to this part...sorry!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Our Creative Corner and a DTGD card

Good Saturday Morning!
It's time for another Our Creative Corner Challenge! This week Jennifer challenged us to make a Holiday Card for Christmas.
It's been so hot here lately that I haven't even thought about snow, cold, winter or Christmas. Unfortunately before we know it, it'll be here....lol
I used this ADORABLE reindeer from CC Designs. Isn't she the cutest?! She'll definitely be used often this year!! You can find this Reindeer Games Cha Cha Deer at All That Scraps.
Don't forget to check out all the other girls cards on the OCC blog~ They always amaze me with their talent! Stay tuned next week...I'm hosting the challenge ;)
Yesterday Joan's Challenge was Silhouettes. I loved Holly's sketch from the previous day so much that I used it again ;)
These two In Colours look so nice together...Groovy Guava and Riding Hood Red! I'll definitely be using them again real soon! I pulled out one of my favourite Verve stamps...Serenity.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Be sure to come by the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges today on SCS....it's my turn to share a sample I've made for Rose Ann's challenge! The new challenges will be posted later this morning.

DTGD cards and Ways To Use It

Good Friday Morning!
Today we are heading to the bowling alley and then coming back here for a DQ Ice Cream Cake for Chloe's birthday...it's Sunday :) I'm not sure how much stamping I'll get done today but I will squeeze some in later ;)
Holly always has the best sketches and this one for her DTGD Challenge was no exception! I've enjoyed it so much that I've already done another and you'll see that tomorrow! I wanted to make an All SU! card and almost pulled it off....lol I suppose if I had used my Coluzzle for the image panel, I could have done it. BUT nah....I like using my Nesties way too much! You can't tell in this picture but I used Shimmery White Cardstock and watercoloured the bird with Pink Pirouette and an Aqua Painter.
Sharon's DTGD challenge was Stamp Simply. She says to start with a simple design and stamp. Grab some of your favourite paper. Add your stamps and sentiment. Then top it off with a few simple embellishments. Well this is what I came up with! I don't think I have ever stamped on Designer Paper so simply before...I really like it! I'm sure to do this again!
Thursday's Ways To Use It Challenge was using the reverse of something. Like here....I used the outter chipboard after punching out a circle and a heart.
Thanks for stopping by!
Tomorrow you will see my sample for a DTGD challenge...but not first in the morning on my blog. I'll have it on the SCS DTGD thread at Noon Eastern. Hope you stop by to see it and play along!!

SCS Sketch Cards and more DTGD cards

Good Thursday Morning
I have a quick post for you today!

Sorry, but in order to actually view them, you need to be a Fan Club member on Splitcoaststampers. If you aren't a member but would like more information about becoming one then CLICK HERE.
This first card was done for Jenn's Inspiration Challenge.
This card was for Lauren's Monochromatic Challenge.

The first one uses the stamp set called Get Your Goggles On from SUINK.

This stamp set is called Sweet Treats from CC Designs and you can find it at All That Scraps.
Now don't forget, all Fan Club members are encouraged to come play along with the Dirty Dozen in the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges! I'll be a sample maker for an upcoming challenge!!
