So Happy For You

Yesterday I was able to use 2 new stamp sets from the current SU! catty.

Penned & Painted and Sunshine Sayings

For years all I made were floral cards and then I started to colour with Copics. Solid stamps took a backseat in my collection.
Now that time is not on my side I recognize the importance of having some quick and easy stamps to use :)

Had I not misplaced half of this stamp set, I would have completed this card in probably 10 minutes.
I honestly thought I'd lost my mind and had to get my husband to help me find my stamps. He found them....lol
Stuck to the bottom of my stampin' scrub pad....haha!

I combined two Splitcoast challenges for this one.

Colour challenge and Sketch challenge

Stamps: Sunshine Sayings, Penned & Painted
Paper: White, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red
Accessories: Elegant Eggplant Ribbon, SU Brick Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

You Are So Kind

Hi!

I was so happy to have a little itty bit of time to stamp today!
Yesterday we had no heat until the furnace motor was replaced so it was TOO cold to be in the basement stamping.

This morning I thought it was time to pack up my Christmasy stamps and put them on the shelf until next year. Tomorrow I'll be getting my SU! order with a ton of new goodies! Needed to make room :)

Since I still had this pretty butterfly set on my table I thought I'd use it for two challenges:
1. SCS sketch #574
2. Color Throwdown #374 Orange, Aqua and Grey

Stamps: Watercolour WingsPaper: White, Smoky Slate, Peach Parfait, Pool PartyInk: Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Peach ParfaitAccessories: Bold butterfly Framelits, Butterfly Thinlits, Sewing, Dimensionals

Live The Life You've Imagined

Happy 2016!
I hope that this year brings everyone happiness and health!
We are looking forward to a fantastic year and hope that everyone in this house stays healthy this year. No more hospital visits ;)

Last week on NYE I was off work and managed to make a card for three Splitcoast challenges.
Colour Challenge, Sketch Challenge and Ways to Use It Challenge.
Cracked Glass was the technique. Gosh I can't recall the last time I've done that! It's such a pretty technique.

Out on a Limb

Hello!

Last week I ordered a few new goodies from the MFT release and I was thrilled to have two days off in a row this week to get inky!

I can't seem to put this Out on a Limb set down ;)

Here are a few cards I created over the past couple of days using it.

This first one was created for two challenges. The Sweet Sunday Sketch and the Paper Players theme of a masculine birthday.

This next one I created for my husband who's my rock and always there for me

This next one is from the SCS sketch this week.

This last one uses the Freshly Made Sketch. I used a circle rather than a tag for my focal point.

Never Forget - SC477

Hello :)

Yesterday was my day off and it was such a blessing!

I've admired all this mixed media that everyone is doing lately and I finally took a little baby step into it.
I picked up some stencils and some modelling paste which I tinted with reinker to create this card for the SCS sketch #477.
While the background was still wet I sprinkled on some glitter.

Happy Snowgirl

Hello :)

Happy Saturday!
Any big plans this weekend?

Mine will be to finish going through a few boxes as there are still items I haven't found.
It's time to bring out one of my darker fall like Coach purses and put away my fun and colourful summer one.
Now to find which box it could possibly be in.....lol

I had last Wednesday off work and it's always nice to have a mid week day off. One reason is to get things done around the house. The other is to stamp of course!

I can't recall the last time I played along with the SCS sketch and it was a welcome change!
I paper pieced her scarf and added a bit of blue shading around her. Something that I rarely do but love the effect. It makes her seem so much brighter!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Merry Christmas SCS Sketch #455

Hello Happy Friday!

I'm so relieved it's almost the weekend but it doesn't mean I have a lot of relaxation coming my way :(
We still need to head back to Calgary tomorrow morning to clean our old house and do one last dump run.
Four hours of travel time there and back. Blah!
The end is finally in sight!
Then it will be onto a new hurdle....lol
One day at a time, right?

I was excited that I found some stampy time on my day off this week. Think I managed FOUR cards! I can't remember the last time I stamped for more than 30 minutes :)

This was a card I created for the SCS sketch #455 on Wednesday.
I think the week before we moved Chloe and I had gone to the craft stores to load up with what I could before coming to a city that doesn't have anything but a Michael's. I ended up picking up this sweet My Mind's Eye paper. I love non-traditional holiday colours! Great for a girl!

Have Your Cake And Eat It Too

Happy Friday!

Whew! What a day at the golf tournament yesterday!
The weather was AMAZING! I got a little sunburned on my face....guess I should have kept that cowboy hat on they provided us ;) Stampede week here in Calgary means it's cowboy everything. It's likely the ONLY time jeans are allowed on a golf course....lol

Anyway, today I'm hoping to stay in and just relax. Maybe do a little stamping. Maybe get some more goodies together to sell on Kijiji. Sort of a mish mash day.

The card below was created on Wednesday using the SCS sketch #444 along with the colours from the Color Throwdown #250.

I used some super fun new stamps from Reverse Confetti too!
The arrows were stamped in versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP. I decided to add those cool circle dots and heat emboss those too with clear ep. Make them pop!
Stamps: Arrows 'n Elements, Celebrate Cake, Whole Lotta DotsPaper: Crumb cake, Melon mambo, So saffron, Bermuda bay, WhiteInk: Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, VersamarkAccessories: Clear ep, circle nesties, mat pack and paper piercer, dimensionals

Happy Spring

Good afternoon!
I'm not sure what the weather is like where you live but here in Calgary it's wonderful!
Spring is here!!
I see patches of grass turning green and that's always exciting....lol
The ugly brown dead grass is just nasty to look at :(

When I got home last night I couldn't wait to dig into my latest SU! order that arrived while I was away.
Here I've used the Branch Out stamp(again as it's a fave) along with some new Summer Smooches paper and brad. The ribbon is Daffodil Delight Seam Binding.
Love that little scalloped edge from the Edgelit too! FUN!
The layout comes from last Wednesday's SCS weekly sketch.

You Are Such a Joy

Hello!
Happy Thursday!
Wow can't believe there are only two more days of work left....love weeks that fly by!
Last night Snickers REALLY wanted to go stamping and since I've been spoiling her like mad while she recovers, we HAD to go stamp! LOL!
This card was created using the SCS sketch #371 from yesterday.

I Simply Adore You

Happy Friday!!!
Gosh this week flew by! LOVE when work weeks do that :)
Last night I had a few minutes to whip up a quick card using the sketch on SCS this week.
I wanted to use up the Island Indigo that was on my table from the last card and luckily some of the new My Mind's Eye papers matched it!
I paper pieced her outfit with the same papers and added some white candy dots to the monarch die from MFT.

I Love Us - SCS sketch #368

I was thankful when I looked up the sketch last night on SCS to find it was a fairly simple card that I could make quickly and no colouring.
As much as I love to colour images my hands and fingers were frozen and didn't want to co-operate with that skill....lol
A stamped sentiment and added rhinestones. Done.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Delivery

I was so excited when I got home last night and found my Verve package had arrived! YIPPEE!
Canada Post must have decided they'd had them long enough...haha!
Isn't this cute little Santa's Helper stamp adorable?!
SCS had a really simple CAS sketch and I thought it would be perfect for this little guy.
