I wish that I could say that I follow hockey, but I don't. The team that I live closest to is the Vancouver Canucks, so I will have to support the locals!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!
We celebrated yesterday as it was just Brian, Chloe and myself. I cooked a spiral honey ham....YUM! While the ham cooked I worked on my Dirty Dozen cards and did some laundry. It was a relaxing day...well that was until I discovered I'm missing my Flight of the Butterfly set....Have you seen it?! LOL! I have searched high and low and it's gone...I'm sick to my stomach thinking maybe I pitched it in the trash by mistake??!!
Well let's move on....it's too upsetting to think about.
I have one last sneak peek to share from Little Paper Shop. Tomorrow Julia will be releasing all the new sets!
This one is called Beauty of Nature. There are a couple of bird images and some wonderful sentiments in this set.
Stamps: Beauty of Nature; Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Watercolour Paper, Frosty Days DP; Inks: Versafine Black, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip; Accessories: Aqua Painter, Slit Punch, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, Bashful Blue Ribbon, Nesties, Primas, Rhinestone Brad, Dimensionals

Finally....

Happy Sunday!
Guess what today is??!! Nope...not Race Day....that happened last night :( I won't get into that though...lol
It's the first Regular Season game for the Edmonton OILERS!!!! I can't wait to start screaming at the tv. It gets Snickers(our dog) all worked up!
Again, you probably didn't come to hear about my sports stories eh? I'm sure I'll have a WHACK of people unsubscribing now...oh well!
I've got another sneak peek to share with you today from Little Paper Shop. It's a new sentiment set called Make a Wish. I've paired up the Aged to Perfection sentiment with the Still Hot Granny stamp. Cracks me up!!!
Stamps: Make a Wish, Still Hot Granny; Cardstock; Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, White; Inks: Mementon Black, Summer Sunrise; Accessories: PTI ribbons, Long Rectangle Nesties, Word Window Punch, Circle Punches, Flower Punch, Dimensionals, Copic Markers, Embossing Folder
I had a wonderful mail week!! Lori from Inking Aloud was sweet to send me this card below. She recently participated in a Shoe Box swap and had this one left over and sent it to ME!! Thanks Lori!

A couple of weeks ago I told Kelly from Crafting Creatively about the Georgia Pacific White paper from Walmart. I'd actually used it for the first time when Lori sent me some! LOL! When we were on vacation in August I picked some up(we don't have it at Canadian Walmarts). I thought she may like to try some too so I sent her a little bit to give it a whirl. Well look what she sent me back! This super cute card and tons of stamped images plus a Magnolia stamp(which was already in use) so I didn't get a pic of it...lol Thanks so much Kelly!
I'm pretty stinkin' lucky to have such fabulous bloggin' friends!

I haven't had much luck RAK'n others though...mailed out tons of cards a few weeks ago and only heard from two that they received them...could be the mail I guess :(

Flyin' By

Good Morning!
Yesterday was a great day at the school funderaiser. I had a long day and didn't stamp a thing!! Can you believe it...didn't pick up a stamp ALL day...VERY rare for me! When I got home I just wanted to take my boots off and relax :) Lucky for me I had some cards done and ready to show you for today...

Little Paper Shop will be releasing some new stamps and this is the first sneak peek I have to share with you. It's called Flyin' By. I've made two 4.25x4.25 notecards. I like the clean and crisp look of them and I think they make cute little cards to send to anyone.

All That Scraps is doing a Review Preview of a couple of stamp sets that were released earlier this week. I've got a cute Santa Sadie to show you. I've added some white fun flock to her hat and dress. You can find Jen's cute Sadie stamps at ATS.
ETA: Be sure to blog hop(ATS DT list on my sidebar) to see who may be giving away a goodie from ATS)

Thanks for stopping by!
I MAY be back volunteering today if we have a spot to fill...but have to wait until later this morning to hear either way. So I might be gone all day again and no stamping...ack!!

Good Monday Morning!
Tonight is the start of Pre-Season HOCKEY!!! YAH!!! Go OILERS!
It's another busy day for me. I'll be at the school most of the day and then tonight we have our first BPA meeting.
Yesterday before the race started I had a chance to play along in the Featured Stamper on SCS. This week it is Shannon aka E3Stamper. She has a fabulous Fall card HERE. I loved the layout so I kept that and went with a Winter theme instead.
When I was on vacation last month I picked up this fabulous CHF set by Kim Hughes called Heart Warmers. It goes so well with this new My Mind's Eye DP!!
Stamps: Heart Warmers; Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, WC paper and My Mind's Eye DP; Inks: Versafine Black, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie; Accessories: Aqua painter, Kiwi Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sponges, Misc Button and Linen Thread

Go Green

Good Monday Morning!
I've got a SUPER busy week ahead and I'm not too sure how much stamping I'm going to get in....which is a total bummer!
It's a tree day on my blog...lol
I didn't realize it until I'd started to upload some cards for the post.
This first one was for yesterday's Featured Stamper on SCS. It was Liz aka Lazy Lizard. This is the card I chose to CASE of hers HERE
Stamps: A Tree for all Season and All in a Row; Cardstock: Tangerine, Olive, WC paper and Haiku DP; Inks: Timber Brown Stazon, Olive, Pumpkin, Choc chip, Ruby Red; Accessories: Aqua Painter, HPH, Olive Poly Twill
Julia from Little Paper Shop challenged the girls to use a clear element on our cards. I have had these clear SU! buttons forever and never seem to pull them out until I'm challenged to...hmmmm wonder why that is? LOL! I really like using them.
I think you will be able to see the other girls cards on the Little Paper Shop Blog today.

Stamps: Peach; Cardstock: Tangerine, Old Olive, WW and Scenic Route DP; Inks: Black, Pumpkin, Saffron, Choc Chip, Olive; Accessories: SU! button, Linen Thread, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Tangerine Ribbon

Do you know what today is? Yep...it's the 15th! That means that the new Dirty Dozen Gallery opens and you can see all the wonderful creations. Plus you get to meet the two new girls joining the Dirt Pile! I can't believe I'm half way through my DD time...wow...it's flying!

Good Sunday Morning!

Good Sunday Morning!
Wow I had NO internet for like 4 days...wow! NOW that was a vacation...haha!
We had a change of plans and started our trip home yesterday. We decided to skip Disney for now but are going to meet our friends there for Christmas break instead! At first I thought Chloe would be disappointed but we do go to Florida/Disneyworld every February so it's not like she hasn't been before ;)
OH my freakin' goodness was it HOT in Vegas...but I LOVED it!!
I did hit that Viva Las Vegas store but it's nasty inside....they have cats and dogs in there and they do their "business" all over the place and it STUNK! So we left :(
The release for Little Paper Shop is getting closer!! Here is a sneak peek of a set called Going in Circles. I used Apricot Appeal and some Nana's Nursey DP for this cute little baby card.
Here is another Verve card I made for one of Julee's sketches a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't this My Mind's Eye DP go so well with the Floral Whimsy set?
Thanks for stopping by!

Good Saturday Morning!

Today we are leaving Vegas and heading to Anaheim. On our way we will stop at the Calico Ghost Town. Chloe loves that place...lol. I'm hoping it's not as hot as last year...omg...I about died from the heat....haha!

We've got another Our Creative Corner Challenge for you today! It's all about colour ;) Ruby Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Choc Chip(optional). I've decided to use my Unity set called Gratitude=Joy.

How about another sneak peek of a Little Paper Shop set?

This one is called Beautiful Things. Isn't the verse in this set wonderful? It's a two step stamping set...love those kind for making backgrounds.

I've used Riding Hood Red with Groovy Guava for this card, another fave colour combo of mine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Good Thursday Morning!
I'm in Vegas...or should be as I have pre-scheduled the posts...haha!
Little Paper Shop has some adorable images coming out on August 26th. This set is called Chirp and has some fabulous little images and sentiments in it.
I've used some of my fave Chatterbox DP along with So Saffron and Elegant Eggplant on this card.
I don't think I've loaded this card to my blog yet, if I have, I apologize~! LOL! Doing all these posts up in advance is really time consuming...lol but I didn't want to leave with nothing here ;)
This was a card I made for the Anni-VERVE-sary sketches. It uses So Saffron and Almost Amethyst as well as the Floral Whimsy set from Verve.
Thanks for stopping by....I appreciate you all sticking with me!

Vegas here we come!

Good Wednesday Morning!

Today we are leaving Boise and heading to Vegas! Yah! I can't wait to shop!! LOL! We had a FANTASTIC visit with my friend Michelle and her family. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Idaho State Fair...the kids had a blast! I'm not sure how much shopping I am going to need to do in Vegas...well stamping related...I got a TON of great stuff in Boise...between Archivers, Paper Cottage and The Craft Store I managed to get quite a few things I have not been able to get in Canada :)

I've got another SUInk card to share. I love this Core'dinations cardstock for the texture on one side. It is also available at SUInk along with this stamp set Roughin' It.

Are you ready for a sneak peek? Little Paper Shop will be releasing this stamp set called U Rock on August 26th. This is a small card that measures 3 x 6. If you are a Fan Club member on SCS you can view another cool sneak peek that is in the August Gallery HERE.
Wednesday's also mean it's time for an All That Scraps Challenge. This week it's a sketch challenge and we hope you will play along. You can find it on the ATS Blog. I've used Olivia and some SugarPlums sentiments.
Thanks for stopping by!

Good Sunday Morning...Lots to Share!

Good Sunday Morning!
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! It's been very nice here.
I've had another productive weekend. Besides stamping I managed to get my lawn mowed, carpets shampooed, laundry done and the house dusted! After all that, I thought I deserved some good old stamping time! I've got a few cards to share with you today!
This first one is the last sneak peek from Little Paper Shop and is called Floral Wishes. Starting July 22nd you will be able to purchase all the new LPS stamps!!
Have you been the the Verve Forum at SCS lately? There is another challenge posted! It's an Inspiration piece and although I'm not a fan of these challenges, I did it....lol
I used the new Pacific Point along with Soft Sky, So Saffron and More Mustard.
It feels like it's been forever since I have done one of Jen's sketches! This one was super fun! I added some jumbo eyelets with rhinestone brads and another Heidi Swapp Ghost Flower. I LOVE those!
This is one of the first Unity Stamps I ordered but hadn't played with the images yet. Not sure why either...they are awesome! I made this card using Lauren's sketch that she posted on Saturday. I got a little dot happy eh? LOL I did add some Stardust Stickles to the image to give it some pizzazz ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

More Sneak Peeks and Our Creative Corner Challenge

Good Saturday Morning!
Today is another Our Creative Corner Challenge! Don't you just love Saturdays?!
This week Jennifer challenged us to use Dry Embossing on our cards. I knew right away that I'd want to use my newest CB embossing folder....Swiss Dots that I got from Peggy at PaperWorksCo.
Be sure to check out what all the other girls created as well!!
I finally received the new MFT stamps this week and could not wait to ink 'em up!
I found a nice Chatterbox paper that goes well with the new SU! In Colours....yah! The Bella Rose DP from SU! is....well....not my style....lol Although I've seen some fabulous cards with it ;)
I've got TWO more sneak peeks to share with you this morning!
Both cards below were created with the set called Fairytale Adventures from Little Paper Shop. Remember these will be available for purchase on July 22!

So I paired the GRANDMA sentiment up with the Still Hot Granny stamp...lol...love this one too~!

Tutu-rific Sneak Peek and SCS Sketch Cards

Good Thursday Morning!
I've got another sneak peek to share with you today. This set is called Tutu-rific and will be available from Little Paper Shop on July 22.
Many of you know that I am challenged by the colour black. I don't know why but I have a hard time working it into my designs. I had fun with it this time though!
My original idea was to cut the image in a circle...but ummm...got side tracked and forgot that part...haha!
I knew as soon as I saw the sketch challenge on SCS that I would want to use a SU! set I hadn't used in a while. Garden Whimsy seemed to perfect! I thought I had stocked up on this Summer Picnic DP but it appears I'm on my last package...ack!
Believe it or not....this card is ALL SU!
Yippee! It was a FABULOUS mail day for me yesterday! I received my new MFT stamps and my Unity stamps. I'll get some Unity cards made very soon!
This Bunny Slippers set worked awesome for a second card using the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I want to apologize for not blogging so well the past couple of weeks and promise to catch up with everyone real soon. I didn't realize how swamped I was going to be getting ready for Sneak Peeks, Dirty Dozen Gallery and visiting with my Mom. My computer time was a lot more limited but Mom has gone back home and my Sneak Peeks are all ready to go.
