You're One of a Kind....Denise :)

Today's Featured Stamper 200 on SCS was all about casing someone from the past!
I immediately ran to Denise's gallery. Her work is amazing!
She's a HUGE Penny Black fan so I knew right away that I wanted to case her card HERE using a PB stamp. She has an incredible talent for colouring ever so lightly...I'm envious!
Here is my card...
Stamps: Penny Black, MFT Snowflake Flopsey(sentiment); Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, MME dp; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Nestie, MFT snowflake Die, MFT note book edge die, Rhinestones, Ribbons, Buttons, Thread, Dimensionals

Let it Snow

I told myself I did NOT need to buy anything else before our move but my car was pulling me toward a local scrapbooking store yesterday. You know...just to check it out because I knew they wouldn't have anything good...no way...ha!

I walked out with some new papers and ribbon! Fun!

Isn't this Echo Park designer paper CUTE?! I love it! So colourful!

Since most of my stamps are packed I had to dig through a box to find my favourite Penny Black Snowman image.

Pretty quick and simple layout.

Stamps: Penny Black; Cardstock: White, Kraft, Pink Pirouette, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, SU! Edge Punch, White Sparkly Candy Dots, Dimensionals

Hedgie Mail

Good Morning!
I couldn't wait to get home and colour something using a bit of knowledge I gained from Sherrie! I understand the basics of Copics a little better now.
Here I used Y20, Y21, Y23 and a bit of Y24 to colour the flower. Using colours in the same family helps blend everything nicely. I used to only use two(or three if I was feeling brave) but Sherrie explained how to get shading down ;)
I have a way to go on the colouring but I think it's a learning process....practice practice practice!
This image comes from Stampers Dream and is from the Penny Black Clear Stamp line. Wonderful Day has so many adorable images in the set!

Wonderful Day - Penny Black

***this is my second post today...please scroll down to see my ATS sneak peek
Oh I was so excited to get these cute and adorable Penny Black Hedgehogs from Stampers Dream!! Aren't they the cutest?!
Seriously you need to look at the entire set called Wonderful Day.
I stamped the images and coloured with my copics. The pattern paper is called Jack and Jill by My Mind's Eye. The Prism paper comes from the Blush Red Trio Pack.
I used Mercy's MTSC68 for my layout this week.
Something else I've been meaning to mention is this Zip Dry glue. I first saw it, used it and picked it up at CHA in Anaheim a couple of months ago and I love it! I was excited to see that Michelle sells it at the Stampers Dream store. It lasts a long time, you don't need much and it's cheap compared to a lot of adhesives. If you haven't tried it...you should!
Stamps: Wonderful Day; Cardstock: Medium Red Blush prism, MME Jack and Jill dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, Stickles, Dimensionals

Brrrr....it's mittens time!

Frosty Days~!
I'm pretty sure I bought this Penny Black snowman stamp a couple of years ago and sadly, it has never seen ink :( Or at least it didn't look like it had been used. Doesn't really matter either way. I just know he'll see tons of it this holiday season! Isn't he cute?!
This layout comes from Mercy's Sketch #45 on her blog here.
I pulled out some scraps of last years Frosty Days dsp from SU!
Thanks for stopping by today! Stay warm....I know I'm going to try....lol
