SCS TLC, Featured Stamper and Blog Sketch

Good Monday Afternoon!
Sorry I'm late getting here. Mom came back from my sisters today and we've been outside enjoying the weather. She even helped mow my lawn ;)
Before they got here today, I had some time to work on the Try A New Technique Challenge on SCS. It was Pouncing Chalks. It's hard to tell in the pictured but I first rubbed bashful blue chalk on the image panel. Then stamped it with Versamark. I then used a sponge dauber and pounced pink and browns on the image. So pretty!
Sundays are Featured Stamper day on SCS. Yesterday I CASED Michelle. This is the card CASED of hers. I loved the layout and that she had a summer theme...so fun! I used the new Get Your Goggles On by Storage Units, Ink & More. This set will be available on July 1st.
Yesterday I had a chance to work on Lauren's sketch from Saturday. I kept this ALL SU!(well except for the nesties circle) for all you that have been missing my SU! cards lately. I haven't used them as much lately because I've been waiting patiently for the new stuff....TOMORROW I'm going to Pre-Order some ;)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Another fab OCC Challenge-Basic Grey

Good Saturday Morning!
Today is our OCC challenge you will NOT want to miss it ;) Be sure to stop by and check it out. We're so pleased to announce that Lindsey Botkin of Jacksonbelle Embellishments will be awarding a $15 gift certificate to one lucky winner from this week's challenge participants. Read up on all the details on the OCC blog.
This week Cindy challenged us girls to use some older Designer Paper from Basic Grey. I've been seeing a lot of Christmasy stuff lately and I hadn't used my MFT Baby It's Cold Outside set yet. I'd only gotten it last February while on vacation in Florida....lol
I dug through my mounds of BG paper and found this fun pattern from the Dasher Collection.
I really had a difficult time getting a good picture of this card. The snowman and ground are covered in glitter. The girls boots have liquid applique on them and the snowmans hat is popped on dimensionals. I think the rest is obvious eh? LOL
So come on by the Our Creative Corner blog today and play along with us!
Also today is my last day as Guest Designer on Jen's blog i{heart}2stamp. It's been a fun month!
Oh yes....and be sure to scroll down to my next post and enter to win that fun Boys 'n' Bugs set!

Boys 'n' Bugs Sneak Peek

Wow! I've been waiting for this day to come for a little bit now. All week you have been seeing wonderful creations by the other DT members from Storage Units, Ink & More and it's finally my turn to show you another cute card ;)
This card was created with the Boys 'n' Bugs set. Isn't it adorable?!
I first stamped the boy and then masked him while stamping the sandbox image. Then I coloured it all with my Copic Markers. What FUN images to colour too!!
I paired these stamps up with Core'dinations textured papers in Blue Lilac and Klondike Blue(all from the Cobalt Blues pack) and also some SU! Designer Paper. The sentiment was stamped and some little bugs added around it for some added fun! It was then punched out with a Key Tag Punch and a 1 3/8" Circle of Klondike Blue behind it. Dimensionals were used to make it pop. I then decided to add some little ant brads I had in my stash ;)
Interested in winning this set? Of course you are! Leave me a comment letting me know you are interested! I'll be drawing a winner on Monday, June 30th. Please only ONE comment per person and the winner must contact me by Tuesday morning or I will draw another name. Denise from Storage Units, Ink & More will be mailing it to the winner directly.
Also, don't forget you still have a couple more days to enter to win the "Motherload" giveaway!
Stamps: Boys 'n' Bugs
Cardstock: Cobalt Blues Core'dinations, WW, SU! DP
Inks: Adirondack Black, Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Copic Markers, Key Tag Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Ant Brads, Dimensionals

LSC card and Taylor's Sketch

Good Friday Morning!
I am relieved that school is over now until September. I'm sure the summer will fly by...
This morning we are heading over to my sisters but while my Mom did some of her laundry, I sat down to work on a couple of cards for todays challenges.
This first one is for the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS. Use brads WITH your stamps....not just adding brads to your card ;) Simple enough eh?! I decided to pull out a set I haven't used in a long time. Paired it up with a cute colour combo of Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery.

Stamps: Priceless; Cardstock: Pretty in Pink; Certainly Celery, WW and Celery prints paper; Inks: Celery, Pretty in Pink, Black; Accessories: Paper Snips, Glut Dots, Dimensionals, 5/8" Celery Ribbon, Soft Subtles Brads. Photo corner punch, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen
The past few Fridays have been super hectic and I haven't had a chance to play along with Taylors sketch. Today I did! Yeah! Last night we went to a LSS that has a 40% off the entire store....gotta LOVE that! I picked up a ton of new DP. This one is from Sassafrass. The bottom edge worked perfectly for Taylor's awning look!

Stamps: What's Up Cupcake?; Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, WW and Sassafrass DP; Inks: Black, Pumpkin, Choc chip(sprinkles); Accessories: Small and Lg Oval Punches, American Crafts Ribbon, Dimensionals
Remember....
stop back tomorrow! The OCC will have a special surprise for our blog challenge this week. Also, it's MY turn to sneak peek a card for Storage Units, Inks & More. Today you can see a sneak peak on Kendra's blog.

A Unity Sketch

Good Thursday Morning!
Yippee! It's the LAST day of school for Chloe!! I can't wait to not have to rush every morning to get her out the door. Now I'll have more time to blog. I've been a bad blogger this week and haven't made it around too much. So sorry!
This card here was made quickly for last nights Unity Stamps Release Party sketch. I didn't win the free stamps but it was fun playing...lol
The edge was made by using my Mat Pack to make half circles with my pencil all the way around the edge. Then I used the Crop A Dile 3/16 setting to punch the half circles. It was a little time consuming but I really do like the end result. Adds a cool look to the card eh?
Stamps: Unity Giggle Grove, Gratitude=Joy; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Very Vanilla, Scenic Route DP; Inks: Adirondack Espresso, Old Olive; Accessories: Copic Markers, Mat Pack, Crop A Dile, Circle Punches, Paper Snips, Dimensionals
Saturday the girls at the OCC have a little surprise in store for you! Hope to see you there!
Todays Sneak Peek for Storage Units, Ink & More is being shared by Kathie.
Don't forget to stop by their blogs!
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'm going to work on the Ways To Use it Challenge on SCS this morning and hopefully will be back with another card or two to share a little later ;)

Sketch Card, RAK and some more exciting news!

Good Wednesday Afternoon!
Mom made it safe and sound! Chloe was super excited but if you ask her if she was surprised...she'll say no...haha...gotta love kids!
Hey...Check out the Unity Stamp Company Blog. They really liked my Unity cards I made a couple of days ago and contacted me to see if I would be interested in being their first ever Watch Out Wednesday Stamper! ummmm...ya! I am honoured to be chosen.
This morning my Mom sat down with me to watch me stamp. I'm hoping she wants to learn how to do it herself soon ;)
This card was for todays Sketch Challenge on SCS. I used the Floral Whismy set from Verve Visual for the sentiment and punched out a couple Martha Stewart Butterflies and added some Dew Drops. The DP is by Crate Paper.
Check out this FABULOUS RAK from Cindy Haffner! It's awesome isn't it?! Thanks Cindy...I love happy mail days!
Thanks for stopping by today!
You can see the next sneak peek for Storage Units, Ink & More on Leigh's blog.
You will be able to see MY sneak peek on Saturday ;)

Mojo Card

Good Tuesday Afternoon!
My Mom arrives today so I've been super busy the past couple of days getting ready for her visit! I can't wait to see her. It's been over a year and a half! We talk regularly on the phone but it'll be nice to see her.
Chloe does NOT know she is coming today. I'm off to pick her up at the airport and rush home and hopefully be here when Chloe walks in the door. I am so excited to see Chloe's reaction!!
Anyway...lol...I wanted to have something to show on my blog today, so I quickly whipped up this card using Julee's Mojo sketch. I ummmm changed it a bit though. I used the sentiment that was ON the DP instead of stamping one and put my three dots above rather than below ;)
Don't forget to check out the next Sneak Peek of Storage Units, Ink & More stamps! Today you can see a card made by Debbie! Also remember to enter for the "Motherload" at SUInks ;)
I've got to run...sorry no details again today.

A variety of things today....

Good Monday Morning!
I've got a gazillion things to do today lol but wanted to show you a couple of things I'd done yesterday afternoon and then this morning ;)
These first couple were done last evening after I'd put my craft area back together. My friend's Nancy and Alex have been making these boxed bag things....so easy and fun! I KNEW I'd have to make one right away!
Diana Gibbs has a fabulous tutorial on her blog. RUN and check it out...you won't be disappointed!
I'd seen this notecard holder on a few sites but Dannie Graves has a FABULOUS tutorial on her blog. It's a video tutorial which is awesome! Check it out!
Inside notecards...
I used the Circle of Friendship along with the Scallop Punch and a couple circle punches.
Today's TLC is watercolouring! If you visit my blog often, I'm sure you know that Boatloads of Love is my FAVE set to watercolour....lol
I tend to grab these colours when using this set lately as well. I can honestly tell you, that before Jersey Shore DP came out, Brilliant Blue was a colour I rarely grabbed ;)
This image was RAK'd to me by Kelly. I love colouring these images...they are so fun!
Don't forget that there are still sneak peeks going on for Storage Units, Ink and More. Be sure to check out Bethany's Blog today! Also, don't forget to enter to win the "Motherload" at the Storage Units, Ink and More website.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I didn't share any recipes here but if you need to know what I used, please just drop me an email.

Giggle Grove

Good Sunday Morning!
Wow! I'd like to thank all of you who have been playing along with us at the OCC! The response to our first two challenges have been fantastic! I'm enjoying seeing all your creations. Be sure to be linking us so I don't miss ya ;) If you upload to SCS please add the key words OCCC.
Yesterday after the girls left the SAS I couldn't wait to ink up my Unity stamps that arrived just before the girls...lol
These stamps are awesome! They stamp wonderfully and the red rubber cleans up so nicely. I think I'm going to get a LOT of use out of these stamps!
Both of these cards were made for our OCC challenge of Buttons and Brads but this first one also uses Lauren's sketch on her blog. Not sure how visible it is but the bird was stamped three times and cut out. First the whole birds body and then the wing. Then it was popped up on dimensionals.
Stamps: Giggle Grove, Fluttering By; Cardstock: PTI White, Old Olive, Scenic Route DP; Inks: Adirondack Espresso, Old Olive; Accessories: Copic Markers, White Brads, Misc Buttons, Old Olive Poly Twill, Circle Punches, Dimensionals
I figured since I had some pieces of paper out I'd make another card. Why add to my scrap pile right? This one is super simple ;) But it still uses Buttons and Brads!
Stamps: Giggle Grove, Gratitude=Joy; Cardstock: Old Olive, PTI white, Scenic Route DP; Inks: Old Olive; Accessories: White Brads, Misc Buttons, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
Don't forget to get another SNEAK PEEK at the Storage Unit, Inks and More stamps today. You can see the next one with Susan! If you haven't entered to win the "Motherload" do that too but click their banner! Good luck!

Good Friday Morning....

Again!
I was super sad to see that this will Beate's last challenge for a couple of months. I understand how busy we all get and it's nice to take a break. I, too, am looking forward to the new SU! catty in August but until then I'll show you some other fabulous stamp companies.
I wanted to make Beate's last sketch challenge card ALL SU! Yah...I did it! Thanks for the inspiration Beate!
Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment; Cardstock: Real Red, WW and Summer Picnic DP; Inks: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive; Accessories: Flower Fusion, Rhinestone Brad, Striped Pumpkin Ribbon, 1/2" circle punch, Dimensional
Yesterday when I was struggling to design a card for my workshop on Saturday, I decided to just STOP and make something for fun. This card came together rather quickly! The scraps were from my pile and the image ended up being one I had stamped a couple of weeks ago. I actually didn't put the cupcake on there at first. I was secretly waiting for my new MFT stamps to come... but they didn't :(
Maybe today??? LOL!

Stamps: Hero Arts; Cardstock: PTI white, Tres Jolies DP(boths dies of each design; Inks: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Copic Markers, 5/8 " Celery Ribbon, Slit Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sketch and Challenge Cards

Good Wednesday Morning!

Wow where has this week gone? I'll be glad when it's the weekend though....lol

This morning I had a chance to do the Sketch Challenge on SCS. I am in need of another card for my workshop this Saturday and I thought this one might work out perfectly.

After getting feedback from the girls on SCS I decided to try it with a red apple as well. You can see that card in the next picture.

Tell me what you think? I'd love to hear your opinion on it. Any suggestions you might have would be very helpful!

All That Scraps Design Team member do a challenge each Wednesday and you can find it on our ATS Blog later today.

This week we were challenged to use a CC Designs background. Unfortunately I currently only own one of them and it's the Big Ol' Stripes. I decided to make it a plaid background.

Figured it worked good for a manly card ;)

I coloured Jack Handyman in Copic Markers and went around the outside of him with a C1 grey marker.

I'm running out of these cool screw brads and will have to get myself some more. They are awesome with Jack!

If you have a chance to play along with us and upload to SCS or the ATS gallery be sure to use the keyword ASTDTC05.

This last card I made for Cindy's sketch in the SCS My Favorite Things forum.

It's MFTSC35, I think....lol

I found this cool American Crafts DP in my drawer and thought it paired well with the chair in this image. Gotta love when that happens eh?

This is a large card at 5.5 x 5.5. You know I don't often make cards this big but they are fun and difficult at the same time. Filling in space can be frustrating!

Well thank you for stopping by today. Sorry my post is a little off. I loaded something on another blog with the LEFT picture clicked and forgot to change it back...lol
If this comes out all funky after I publish, I will re-do ;)

Krafty Skies Colour Challenge

This morning before leaving for lunch program I managed to make this card for the Colour Challenge on SCS.

Soft Sky, Basic Black and Kraft

I haven't used the Always stamp set lately and I really do adore this bird! The bird is stamped in Versamark and embossed in black embossing powder. Then it's cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

I also used Julee's mojo sketch from last week as well.

Thanks for stopping by!
Oh for those interested...

I just got back from the dentist...yah! I really only need ONE wisdom tooth out and will have that done July 8th. He said it takes about 15 minutes...ok...so I only have to sweat and panic for a short time...lol
