Relaxing

This is totally me these days....lol

When I'm sitting here at the hotel each evening I'm either on my personal laptop or my work one. It keeps me busy and my mind off of how much I am missing my family.

Tomorrow they'll be here to visit for the weekend and I'm super excited! Keep your fingers crossed for good weather. It'd be nice to do the zoo or something outdoors.

This stamp is from the Who's That E-Girl from MFT. She's one of my newest MFT stamps! I drew in the floor and paper pieced the sofa.

Chillin'

It's time for me to get into the swing of making holiday cards on a more regular basis. While packing away more stamping goodies yesterday I found this cutie from Stamping Bella.

She was coloured with Copics and a little bit of Stardust Stickles were added to the snowballs.

I also discovered a couple rhinestone swirls in the basket so I threw them on the card too!

The sentiment comes from Baby, it's Cold Outside by MFT.

Thinking of You SFYTT

Well I'm home and it's great to be with my family!

Being away for two weeks has been crazy but soon we'll all be moving and my commuting will be cut down. Whew!

Chloe headed out to play with her friends, Brian was packing up his computer room which meant nobody would mind if I stamped ;)

I had laundry to do so it was perfect timing. I took a look at what Jen had for her SFYTT this week and it was a good one....as always!

I used some pretty My Mind's Eye DP along with the Verve set called Kind Words.

Thanks for looking!

Just Because

Well today after work I am heading back to Edmonton for the weekend! I'm excited to see my family. Poor Snickers has been missing me like crazy. I miss her following me everywhere...lol

This is one of the last cards I made to share with you while I've been away. I do hope that I'll find a little stamping time this weekend :)

Solid stamping is something I don't often do anymore. This Verve set called Great Friend has both solid and outline images.

Once again I have used some of the pretty Pixie-Licious designer paper from Cosmo Cricket.

Birthdays Are The Best

Karen had a wonderful Sweet Sunday Sketch#85 on her blog and there was a little bonus involved. You were to make it a birthday card that you could send off to the soldiers.

I pulled out some pretty PTI stamps and the coordinating PTI flower die. Finished the flowers off with a few PTI Lemon Tart buttons and thread.

Hi, it's Me.... MFTWSC092210

This week the MFT Stamp Club Challenge team are making scenes!

Create a scene with your stamps and Die-namics, or use a stamp that shows a scene. Remember you do not need to use MFT images to participate but if you have 'em why not use 'em ;)

When you upload to SCS please use keyword MFTWSC092210 so we can find your creations.

I chose to use the adorable PI girl called Flower Girl along with some fun die-namics and felt! The sun and grass were made with felt from the Banana Split Collection and the Beautiful Garden Collection. The scallops were made using the Jumbo Scallop Die.

I hope you'll head over to Kim's blog at 11 am EST(Wednesday) for a complete list of participating designers for today's Wednesday Stamp Club.

You Make My World Happy

I made this for last Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge. Terri had a wonderful card here that I cased.

Loved the little window and thought the cute little PI girl would be perfect for it!

Sorry for the bad lighting. I was rushing to get things photographed and pre-loaded to my blog. I didn't realize it looked so bad until now....lol Frankly, time is not on my side right now and I have no energy to run down to re-do ;)

Being Cute

I think this is one of my most favourite cards eva! Funny thing is that the cards I like are usually the ones others don't...lol

I had book marked a card by Karen HERE last month and have been wanting to try the clouds and hill idea.

I'm running out of time so I better go. I have more blog posts to get written up so you have more to see while I'm away.

Stamps: Being Cute Is What I Do; Cardstock: Kraft, Aqua Mist, White, My Mind's Eye DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, PTI cloud die, MFT felt, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals

Think Green

This afternoon Brian and Chloe will be joining me and we will be house hunting this weekend! Can't wait!

I finally tried that gathered ribbon technique that everyone has been doing. I'm a little behind, eh? For some reason the ribbon photographed really bright...lol

I pulled out the WTG Goes Green set from MFT and stamped the image on kraft and coloured with copics.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT weekend! I know I will ;)

Thinking of You

Well I'm half way through my week away from my family. Tomorrow they are coming to see me for the weekend. We are going to spend the time looking for a home and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well! Hoteling it during the week will get old fast! ha!

Last weekend when I was home, I made quite a few cards so I'd have things to show you while I'm away for two weeks.

This card was made using more of the pretty Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP. The tree was created using the MFT Sheltering Tree and Leaf Trio.

The sentiment comes from the Verve set called Kind Words.

I chose to use the super cute PI girl called Cheerleader. The fun star paper is from My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup.

I'm betting that the girls have some fabulous star studded projects to share with you today too! Stop by and visit them :) They are sure to knock your socks off!

Kind Words

Last month when Verve came out with this stamp set called Kind Words I knew I needed it!

I LOVE the sentiment on my card today. Words like please and thank you tend to be forgotten all too often these days and those are words that echo to me.

The paper is from the new Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather and the layout comes from Mercy's MTSC90.

Tomorrow morning I will be heading to Calgary for work. I'll be gone about a week and a half but I have scheduled posts ready to go! I will pop in when I can!

For You SFYTT

ahhhhhhhhhh the weekend and stamping time!

This week while I was out of town my Verve stamps arrived...yippee! Brian called to let me know that they were sitting here waiting for my return. I'm not sure if he was trying to rub it in and tease me or what....haha!

This morning after I packed up a few more stamping boxes I sat down and created this card using the Great Friend set from Verve.

The fun sketch comes from the SFYTT this week!

Stamps: Great Friend; Cardstock: Handsome Hunter, Kraft, Cosmo Cricket DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Mat pack and paper piercer, Oval Punches, Dimensionals, Gelly Roll Pen

Mojo Smile

Since Monday was a holiday I was able to play along with Julee's Mojo Monday sketch.

I've been packing and cleaning and while doing so I came across some older Verve sets and thought they needed some love before putting them in a box ;)

Barely banana is another cardstock colour that hasn't seen the light of day in my craft space. It used to be a fave of mine but then so many others came out like PTI Lemon Tart or the many shades of Prism papers.

Some fun Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious papers were used as well.

It's time for another fun MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge!
I hope you can find time to play along with us :)

This week it's Back to School Blues. Create something for going back to school and incorporate blue. Easy right?

I decided to create a fun corner bookmark using one of my fave PI Girls called Book In Hand. I'm sure you've noticed me using her a lot lately ;)

You can find the bookmark tutorial on SCS in the resource section.

Soon you will find all the details about the challenge on SCS in the MFT Forum. If you're itchin' to get started I'm sure you've gotten the jist of it. Be sure to use keyword MFTWSC090810 when you upload so we can find ya!
Now how about a little more inspiration from the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club gang!

Friendship is the Best Gift

I decided to make a little book to go with the briefcase tag from yesterday. You can never have enough notepads, right? Besides this one will slip right into the side pocket of a briefcase ;)

The cover was a funky purple so I covered it with some kraft cardstock that was layered with some October Afternoon designer paper. I added some quick stitching around it and a little ribbon. Then I taped it down good!!!

The PI girl Book in Hand was stamped in Memento Black and coloured with Copics. Some oval nesties were used to cut her out. The sentiment comes from the Wrapped With Love set.

That's it....sweet and simple!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm heading out of town for a business trip so I will catch up with you all when I return!

Have a GREAT week!

Book in Hand

Wow yesterday I was down and out for HOURS with a migraine. So not cool or good timing :( We had started to clean out the basement and organize for our upcoming move this fall. Unfortunately, I maybe worked one hour on it and then I was in bed for the rest of the afternoon.

That meant no stamping for me :(

Luckily, I had made a few more briefcase tags on Saturday evening.

This one uses the adorable PI Girl Book in Hand. I love the fun colours of this October Afternoon dp. Everytime I see it in a store, I buy more. You can never have enough, right?
Stamps: Book in Hand; Cardstock: Cream, Sunflower Prism, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, Thread, Button, SU! Top note die, Jumbo Eyelet, Chipboard, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm hoping Monday will be a more productive day!

Life Is Good

But hectic these days. It's been an adjustment with my new job and being out of town this week will be another challenge.

Last week I received my laptop and realized that we all have black laptop bags/brief cases. That got me to thinking that I needed to decorate mine in some way so it's easily recognizable.

Since I'd just received some fun Cosmo Cricket Pixie-Licious designer paper I HAD to use it, right?

This super cute PI girl Little Angel hadn't seen any ink yet so why not pair them up?!

I haven't figured out what to put on the backside but it is made out of a thin chipboard so maybe I'll just stamp my name on it. Simple and easy!

Stamps: PI Little Angel, Maid for WTG(sentiment); Cardstock: White, Kiwi Kiss, CC Pixie-Licious; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, SU! top note die, MFT Flower Trio Die, Glittered Candy Dot, Dimensionals, Jumbo Eyelet

Scootin' By To Say Hi!

It felt great to stamp again Saturday! It's been a few days since I had gotten inky!

Luckily my Taylored Expressions package arrived on Thursday! I ordered the fun set called Feelin' Groovy along with a few of the new Cosmo Cricket 6 x 6 paper pads.

This card uses the fun Cosmo Cricket Togetherness papers.

I stamped the image onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and coloured with Copics.

The layout comes from Jen's SFYTT this week.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT weekend!

Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash!

Today I am helping Taylor celebrate the 2nd birthday of Taylored Expressions! Wow I can't believe it's been two years! I was lucky enough to serve on the design team awhile back and it's exciting to see how it TE keeps growing and growing!
I'm sharing a card made with Running Late. Isn't this an adorable image? I chose to colour it with some bright and fun colours! A little bit of stardust stickles were added the sneakers :)

hehe....isn't the sentiment on the inside fun too?!

Stamps: Running Late; Cardstock: Kraft, Red, Light Island Mist, Lime Green Prism, Echo Park DP; Accessories: Copics, White Brads, Nesties, Stickles, Die-namics Scallop, Dimensionals
Now you can't just stop at me!
We are hopping after all!
If you came to me from Rosie Hughes then you are right on track and your next step is Joanne Basile. If not, start at the beginning with Taylor so you don't miss a beat!

Girlfriends are a Gift

Today I'm off on my first business trip (to Calgary) in my new role at work. I'm really excited! Sometime during the day I hope to get together with my best friend, Karen. Maybe we can do lunch or dinner. I know that Thursdays are super busy for her so even if I don't get a good visit I wanted to give her a little something. I've made this fun card for her using the MFT Chick Flick and some colourful October Afternoon DP.
I added a bit of glaze to the popcorn bowl. As I was making this card, I reached for this scrap of designer paper and when I turned it over the G Gift Girl piece was perfect! It was meant to be, kwim?
Stamps: Chick Flick; Cardstock: Real Red, Kraft, Vanilla, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Ribbon, Glaze Pen, Dimensionals
Unfortunately, I forgot to get a shot of the inside but I stamped the "I give our friendship two thumbs up!" sentiment.
I'm away for the next two days but I will catch up with everyone when I get home this weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
