Let's Chat

Hello :)
How is your week going so far?
I'm thankful we are half way!

I created the card below just because...love to just stamp and colour.
These pretty papers are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline - Howdy Doody.

Everything Will Be Okay...

Sunday morning before I started to feel crummy I played along with the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.
I chose to CASE this card HERE of Janice's.
This is a SU! only card.
I turned my layout and left of the embossing as I don't own any SU! embossing folders...yet.
Tree image is from Thoughts & Prayers.
Sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness.
Stamps: Pursuit of Happiness, Thoughts & Prayers; Cardstock: Shimmery White, Choc Chip, Riding Hood Red; Inks: Choc Chip, Old Olive; Accessories: Top Note Die, Ribbon, Button, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

It's a Girly Thing...

Hello and happy Monday :)
It turned out to be an okay weekend...weather-wise.
We got a little bit of snow but all in all it wasn't the blizzard they said would happen.
We were house bound most of it though as there seems to be a flu going through the Easton house :(

Saturday evening I noticed that Karen had posted her Sweet Sunday Sketch #153 on FB so I took advantage of the early post and played along.
Papers are from My Mind's Eye and stamp is a Pure Innocence from MFT.

Since I still had the papers out on my desk and I wasn't really in the mood to finish my laundry I decided to create one more card.
This is an older layout from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #126(I believe).
Thanks for stopping by today!

St. Patrick's Day

Hello!

Well so far our snow has not happened. NOT that I'm complaining....lol
I can still see all my grass in the backyard and I hope it stays that way!

I did manage to have some quiet time today to sit down and stamp for a bit.
It was nice :)
This card below was created with some new Verve goodies.
Lucky You stamp set and Shamrocks die.
The layout comes from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #40.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful weekend!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

that winter is set to arrive here in Calgary this weekend! ugh!
I guess it had to get nasty at some point.
We'll brace for the upcoming blizzard and be thankful it's the weekend and don't have to go anywhere.
NOT that I would as it's the Daytona 500!!!
Yeah!

This card below was created for the Featured Stamper on SCS. I cased Becky's card here.
I used the sweet You're So Tweet PI from MFT along with some Echo Park This & That designer papers.
Thanks for stopping by today!

The Rainbows of Life....

follow the storms.

Hello :)
Thank you for the sweet and supportive comments on my last post.
I think Cindy Haffner nailed it....I am burned out. The pressure of creating and posting daily becomes overwhelming. So I'll create and post when I can. Enjoy what I do.

Monday I had the day off with it being Family Day here in Alberta. Not everyone had it off though :(
My husband worked while my daughter was off hanging out with her friend.
So I had a little time on my own to start cleaning and organizing.
I have a ton of dies now and had them stored on large magnetic sheets but as my collection grew I just kept cramming them on the already packed sheets. LOL.
Well when I knocked the dies over they fell off and I had to sit and pick them up.
That's when I found this fun Rainbow Die from MFT.
I haven't used it in...forever.
Looking on SCS I found the CAS challenge and decided to play along.
Harriet pointed out that my card was very similar to the CPS sketch this week as well.
Cool.
Anyway, this is my card.
Simple.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful week :)

Happy Sunday

Hello :)
I haven't stamped in a week and I'm finding it hard to get motivated to do so again.
So much going on and so many other things I would like to do or need to be doing that stamping has taken a back seat.
I appreciate the emails (which I am behind on those with being away this past week) but I'll catch up as soon as I can.
The past 7 or so years of stamping has been wonderful.
Being on the Dirty Dozen back in 2008 really started it all for me. Things took off from there!
All the different Design Teams that gave me a wonderful opportunity to grow, learn and share what I love.
As much as I've loved stamping I am considering taking up a new hobby. Not sure what yet.
I'm not going to give up stamping but I think I'd like to get back to my roots and stamp just for fun.
Maybe even join Stampin' Up again(even if it's just for the discount).

Hard to believe I've had this blog for nearly 5 years! Wow time flies!
I just wanted to thank those of you who have supported, encouraged and followed me over the years.
Maybe you'll see me back in a few days, a few weeks or a few months :)

You Make My Heart Flutter

Happy Weekend!
Happy Long Weekend to my friends that celebrate Family Day on Monday!!!
LOVE a three day weekend!
These are the last two Verve cards I created last weekend.
The first one uses Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch 152.
Again I used Twitterpated along with the All A Flutter Die.
This card was created for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS last Sunday.
I pulled out another one of my fave Verve sets from early on.
It's called Petals and Stems.
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm sure I have a ton of catching up to do around my house but I'm hoping to stamp today at some point!
It's been a week!!

Celebrate Good Times

Yeah! It's Friday!
Tonight I arrive home from Toronto and I'm looking forward to seeing my family.
It's nice to have some time apart but it's nice to catch up on everything too!
I'm sure Chloe has a ton to share! LOL!
This card below was created using the Viva La Verve February Week 2 Sketch.
Stamp set is called Birthday Bash.
I stamped the balloons twice and cut out and popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Kindness

Today I'm sharing a card that is not my usual style but on Sunday I felt like pulling out some distress inks and sponges. You know....getting my fingers inky?!
It was fun!
The stamp set is from Verve's Beautiful Kindness.
I layered on some different ribbons and lace then added a Prima flower to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cupcakes Make Everything Better

Hello!
How about we switch gears and go for a CAS card today?
The Viva La Verve February Week 1 sketch was perfect for it!
I had these three colours on my table and thought they'd make a sweet card ;)
Cupcake Affair from Verve is an oldie but a goodie!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day

Any special plans with your loved one today?
Since I'm leaving very early tomorrow morning for a business trip to Toronto we are going to celebrate this weekend when I get home. We'll do dinner and a movie! Fun!
This is the last Valentine's Day card I created last week.
I used the Mojo Monday sketch...227...I think.
Stamp set is from Verve's Twitterpated along with the All a Flutter dies.
I've pre-posted for the rest of the week and I'll catch up with you when I return this weekend!
Have a great day!

i ♥ u

Hello :)
Last Monday I was able to play along with the CAS challenge on SCS. I think I had a few minutes to spare between dinner and the vet visit and instead of just sitting around I put my time to good use!
This was a fairly quick card to make.
The challenge if I remember right was to use hearts.
I pulled out the fun I Heart U die set from Verve and some pretty Echo Park Yours Truly designer paper.
Ribbon is Autumn Rose from PTI.
Thanks for stopping by!

Live The Life You've Imagined - Verve Spotlight

Hello and happy Sunday!

As I said last week I'm going to spotlight one of my favorite stamp companies for an entire week at a time.
This week it's....
VERVE!
Julee was such an awesome lady to work for. So laid back, easy going and supportive.
I'll miss my Diva days but I'll still be stamping with Verve as often as I can :)

This card below was created using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #38 from last week.
The sentiment comes from the Words of Wisdom stamp set.
Stamps: Words of Wisdom; Carstock: White, Kraft, My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart-Be Amazing Collection; Inks: Black; Accessories: Circle Nestie, Sewing, Dimensionals, MFT Flower Die
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day!

i {heart} you

This is my last MFT for the week.
Tomorrow we'll move onto another spotlight....not sure who yet ;)

Last Saturday or Sunday I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try - February for my layout.
More of the pretty My Mind's Eye papers too!!
This sweet PI girl is from MFT but I can't recall her name...sorry!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT Saturday!

Happy FRIDAY!!!
On Monday there was a fun New Technique challenge on SCS. Joan asked up to create our own background of stripes using designer paper.
Since Valentine's Day is almost here and I'll be having to put away my favourite Echo Park Your's Truly DP soon. There are plenty of scraps on my table so I cut some in different sizes and glued them to a piece of cardstock. Easy!
Sentiment is from MFT's Clearly Sentimental About The Journey.

You Are Such a Joy

Hello!
Happy Thursday!
Wow can't believe there are only two more days of work left....love weeks that fly by!
Last night Snickers REALLY wanted to go stamping and since I've been spoiling her like mad while she recovers, we HAD to go stamp! LOL!
This card was created using the SCS sketch #371 from yesterday.
Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

Sunday afternoon before all the Superbowl festivities began I had a little extra time to go down and stamp a card for the Featured Stamper on SCS.
I chose to case Darcie's card here.
The X's and O's were cut using the MFT By the Letter dies and the heart comes from the Homespun Birdhouse Die set.
I found these cute little brads in my stash.
Stamps: None; Cardstock: Sweet Blush, Smokey Shadow, White, Echo Park Yours Truly DP; Inks: None; Accessories: MFT By the Letter Dies, MFT Homespun Birdhouse Die, Smokey Shadow Ribbon, Black Satin Ribbon, Brads, Dimensionals

Life Is Sweet

Hello!
More new MME papers :)
This one is called Miss Caroline Dilly Dally.
I thought this cute PI Sweet Greetings from MFT would go nicely with the ticket pattern paper. Reminds me of a county fair...fun times!
One of my favorite things from the fair is cotton candy...it's yummy!
Stamps: PI Sweet Greetings; Cardstock: Kraft, Black, Vintage Cream; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Corner Chomper, MFT First Place Award Ribbon Die, Lemon Tart Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sewing

A Rose For You - MFT Sketch #57

ahhhhh Monday....
Wishing it wasn't but it is....so no sense complaining about it...LOL!

Saturday I created a card using the MFT sketch #57. I made about 6 cards this weekend all with different MME designer papers.
This time I used Miss Caroline - Howdy Doody Collection.
Isn't that flower paper gorgeous?
With a variety of flowers I could have gone with several different PI girls from MFT but I opted for the PI Rose.
I paper pieced her dress and added a bit of spica pen to the coloured rose.
Stamps: PI Rose; Cardstock: Vintage Cream(PTI), Sno Cone(MFT), MME dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Spica Pen, MFT Felt, MFT Rolled Rose Die, Yellow Sparkly Candy Dots, Sewing, Dimensionals

Journey Home MFT Spotlight

Happy Sunday!

Some of you may have noticed that I've cut back on my design teams over the past several months.
Trying to find that balance between work and home has been a challenge and with even more changes on their way I knew it was only fair that I leave ALL design teams.
As much as I loved being a part of DT it was getting harder and harder to make my commitments.
I'm not one to stamp ahead like some. Using the most current stamps or papers is what I like doing most.
Creating for an entire month is possible but really??? Not for me :(

So what I've decided is that I'm going to spotlight or showcase (however you want to word it) one company each week. For a bit anyway ;)
This week I've chosen MFT for no particular reason other than I have the most current stamps and am not waiting on an order.
Although I have not used a "new" stamp on my card I did use new paper!
The paper is from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline - Fiddlestick Collection.
The stamp set is from Clearly Sentimental About The Journey.
Stamps: Clearly Sentimental About the Journey; Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Smokey Shadow, MME DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: MFT Layered Label Die, MFT Simply Scallops, Twill, Canvas, Sewing, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

Life

Good Saturday Morning :)

How was your week? Happy it's the weekend?
I know I am!
I plan on just relaxing and hanging out with Snickers.
She's doing much better, still not 100% but seems to be improving.

Last night we went to the basement to do a little stamping after dinner and I whipped up this quick card using some of the new My Mind's Eye Designer Papers.
This is from Miss Caroline Dolled Up....pretty eh?
Felt butterfly was cut with a Verve die.
Sentiment is from MFT's Clearly Sentimental About the Journey.

I Simply Adore You

Happy Friday!!!
Gosh this week flew by! LOVE when work weeks do that :)
Last night I had a few minutes to whip up a quick card using the sketch on SCS this week.
I wanted to use up the Island Indigo that was on my table from the last card and luckily some of the new My Mind's Eye papers matched it!
I paper pieced her outfit with the same papers and added some white candy dots to the monarch die from MFT.
Stamps: Being Cute Is What I Do; Cardstock: Island Indigo, White, MME dp; Inks: MementoBlack; Accessories: Copics, Monarch Die, First Place Award Ribbon Die, White Candy Dots, Sewing, Dimensionals

You Are In My Thoughts

Yeah for Wednesday!!

Last night after dinner Brian carried Snickers down to the basement so I could stamp. It's her FAVE thing to do...well she does nothing but sleep when she gets down there but she gets super excited when I ask her if she wants to go stamping ;)

I have a friend at work who is going through something with her dog as well and thought it might be nice to make her a card.
Here I've used the SCS colour challenge of Island Indigo, Pool Party and White.
The layout comes from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #151.
Sentiment comes from MFT's Sympathy set and the grass is from SU.
Paper butterfly is a Martha punch and the felt butterflies are from MFT.
Have a GREAT day!
