Happy Wednesday!
Happy Halloween!
Happy Birthday to my baby sister, Jennifer!

Yeah we made it to the half way point!
I'm helping with a beauty training session today, out of town tomorrow and off Friday.
The rest of the week will be a piece of cake compared to the last three days! LOL!

It's my last week with the Color Throwdown girls :(
Thank you SO much for having me play along for the month of October!

Up this week is this:

I decided to go CAS again and make my sample a masculine card.
Stamps are from Unity. Can't recall the kit...sorry!

Look on the Bright Side...

Hello :)

If ever there was a week I wanted to be over quickly....it's this one!
So much going on at work makes for an exhausted Dawn at the end of the day.

I swear that this weekend I am going to stamp stamp stamp!!!

Pretty sure this card below was created using the MFT sketch from two weeks ago.
Hard to keep it all straight now. So many cards were made while on vacation which is a good thing as now I have plenty to share :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Owl Christmas PP119

Happy Sunday!

This week the Paper Player's Challenge is a fabulous CAS sketch!

I've created my card with NO stamping.
The owl was cut out of the designer paper and popped up.

Sorry this is so short but I'm working this weekend and time is very limited!

Support the Girls

Hello :)

Unfortunately my weekend of locking myself in my stamp room may not happen.
There is a lot going on at work and I'll need to work. Darn.

I am going to find SOME time to get in there though!

Here's another card using the same layout as the card posted yesterday.
This one also combined one of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by!

You Can Fly

Ok we are almost there....the end of the week is in sight now!

I can't wait to do absolutely nothing all weekend!
Well I'll be stamping of course ;)

Last week while on vacation I had the good fortune of stamping for hours each day.
I played along with some of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges.
This card below was created for Bridget's - Hope is the Thing.
Create something with a bird, nest, song....you get the idea.
Stamps and dies come from MFT.

Happy Birthday to You CTD215

Happy Wednesday!

I cannot wait for the weekend!
For several reasons but the MOST important is that the weather will improve!
The snow yesterday was horrible and the drive to work was INSANE!!
BUT I made it there safe and sound with my travel time doubling.

Anyway, you didn't come here to listen to me gripe about our snowy weather....lol

This week the Color Throwdown Challenge #215 is fun and bright again!

I chose to use the cute cupcakes and sentiment from a Verve set called Birthday Bash.

Please stop by the Color Throwdown Blog and see what the girls have created for you. Hope that you'll play along too!!!

Daydream Believer

How's your week going so far?
I fear that this is going to be a LONG week with no stamping.
Lucky I had a full week while on vacation! hehe!

After moving my craftroom upstairs a couple of weeks ago I came across several items I had lost misplaced ;)
Including this image below from a set called Girls Just Wanna Have Fun from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

When this set came out months ago I knew I HAD to have it.
There are three fabulous images in it that totally remind me of Chloe and her friends.

I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch #151 for the layout too. Flipping it to work with the image though.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Set of Holiday Cards

Good Morning!

It looks like my mad card making will come to an end today.
My vacation is over and it's back to work this morning.

I have so many cards to show over the next several days/weeks but I'll show you the latest first...lol

Back in June I created a card very similar to these below.
In less than 2 weeks we have our President's Choice Children's Charity craft fair and this is a set that I think someone may like. Or at least I hope so!
Dies and stamps are from Papertrey Ink. Cardstock and DSP are SU!
Here is a group shot:
There are two cards of each design:

You're My Forever Love PP118

I'm back with a card for the Paper Players Challenge :)

This week Anne Marie has us creating a CAS card with frames in mind.

I saw a card somewhere on Pinterest that used this negative technique and loved it!
Now that I look at this card I'm thinking I should have just made it into a heart shape using the Hearts Framelits from SU and not just the inside heart. Oh well....next time...lol
Be sure to stop by the Paper Players blog and play along with us! I look forward to seeing the creations each week!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Some Bunny SSSC170

Hello and welcome back for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

I'm super excited about my card today. This image from The Cat's Pajamas is a fave of mine!
He's so stinking cute eh?
I decided to leave a sentiment off so that it could be used for anything. In my family we have a lot of winter birthdays and some of us even have Christmastime birthdays ;) Will be perfect!
Stop by Karen's Blog to play along with the awesome sketch and link up your cards!

Snow

Happy Saturday!

In the past week I've probably created close to 30 cards while on vacation and it's been wonderful!
I'm sure my mojo will be taking a break soon and this weekend is probably the break I need....lol

This was created on Wednesday using the SCS sketch.
Stamps are from Taylored Expressions.

Season of Friendship

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I spent the morning making cabbage rolls to freeze for the upcoming cold weather and Christmas. It's nice to have them in the freezer to pull out on a weekend when it's yucky and nobody feels like doing anything....including cooking dinner....lol

Today is my dad's 65th birthday!!!

Happy birthday DAD!
Wish we were together today :)

This card below I created on Tuesday for the SCS colour challenge of Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip, Vanilla.
Reached for a fave SU set called Season of Friendship.

Good Tidings To You and Yours

It's Thursday :(
Normally I'd be thrilled that the work week was nearing the end but this week I'm on vacation so that means I've passed the half way mark and will be returning to work Monday. Bummer.

Since Monday I've created about 21 cards. 6 of them were for a set though. Very simple.
Anyway how about another CAS card today?
Stamps and dies are from Papertrey.
The word dies were a present from a friend last Christmas so I didn't get a chance to use them until this year.....love them!

A Rainbow is a Promise

Happy Tuesday!

How about a CAS card today?
I'm really liking the look of these lately and I'm sure you'll see more from me soon ;)

Yesterday the TLC challenge on SCS was Acrylic Block Collage.

Basically you ink up an acrylic block with an ink pad or marker then spritz with water and immediately stamp it on your cardstock.
After several failed attempts at this(too much water or not enough water) I came up with this.....

Stamp is from MFT's set called The Great Outdoors.

YOU are pretty amazing

I'm on vacation!!!

9 more days of sleeping in and not having to rush to go anywhere....

I haven't stamped for the past couple of days but I'm hoping to do so in the morning. My card for the Paper Players Challenge isn't completed yet! Ack!

This is a card I created on Wednesday evening using the MFT sketch #93
I had some rolled roses on my desk from something else I tried to make but was unsuccessful!

Friendship Warms The Heart

Hooray for Friday!
Hooray for vacation too!!!

I can't wait to have a week off and do pretty much nothing :)
Other than a quick two day trip down to Montana next week I plan on hangin' out and crafting most of the next week. Fun right?
It's going to be so quiet around the house with Chloe at school and Brian at work!

Since moving my craft room upstairs I have been stamping like mad!!
Yesterday when I got home there was a surprise waiting for me.
Brian picked me up a new chair! Now I'm going to be even more comfy and never going to want to leave....lol

Here is a card I made last weekend using the MFT October Guest Sketch.

Stamps: Merry Kissmass
Paper: White, Pool Party, MME DP
Ink: Memento black
Accessories: MFT jumbo monarch die, stickles, copics, dimensionals

Peace

Next month there is a craft fair at work and I've been asked to please have my table there again. Earlier this year my friend Karen ran the table while we were on vacation in California. This time it's up to me. Hoping I can talk her into helping though! LOL!
Anyway, I am in need of more masculine cards and thinking that this one below would be fairly easy to make a few of. I am not one to mass produce but a few similar to this wouldn't be so bad.

What are your thoughts?
Was thinking it needed glitter on the rolling hills. Would that make it less masculine?
Stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.
Stamps: In The Meadow; Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Choc Chip; Inks: Choc Chip, White Craft; Accessories: Sponges, In The Meadow Dies, Dimensionals, Holiday Words Die

Birthday Bash Mojo Style

Good Tuesday Morning and happy SHORT work week!!!

4 more days of work and I'm on vacation again :)

This past weekend was busy and everything I had on my to do list....got done!!!

I had plenty of stamp time on Saturday and Monday while Sunday was spent making perogies and cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Monday morning, afternoon and evening I was up in my new craft room enjoying the warmth!!! LOL!
Finally don't need slippers or a sweater....haha

I was in need of a birthday card for my dad's 65th birthday but somehow I got sidetracked as you can see....

Thinking I'll be making another card in the very near future....lol

Anyway, about this card....
It was created for the Mojo 262 sketch.
I used the fun Birthday Bash set and some MME Happy Day designer papers.

I Simply Adore You

Happy Monday!

We celebrated our Thanksgiving yesterday and today we'll enjoy the left overs!!
Yum!

On Saturday we moved my craft stuff up to Chloe's room and she moved into the basement.
I'm still trying to organize my things. It's amazing the amount of stuff I've added to my collection since moving to Calgary two years ago. Wow! I'm really hoping to finish the move and organizing today but if not I'll try to sneak in to make a card ;)

This card was made using the MFT sketch #92 from last week.
Fairly CAS for me ;)

Perk Up PP116

***if you are looking for my Sweet Sunday Sketch please scroll down***

This week the Paper Player's are creating cards featuring a cup or cups!
Fun right?
I've always loved the Verve set called Better With You.
The cups and sentiments in the set are wonderful.
I stamped the image and coloured with copics. Two ribbons were layered and then one was used to tie a bow.
The layout comes from the Mojo #261 sketch.
Don't forget to stop by the Paper Player's Blog to see what the team has created for you this week.
Hope to see you playing along!!
Have a great day!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #169

I was worried I wouldn't have time to create a card for this week but I squeezed one in yesterday morning before our company arrived.

Karen has another awesome sketch for us this week!

I decided since my time was limited that I'd use the fun and fabulous MFT Vertical Greetings II for my card.

Please be sure to stop by Karen's blog to link up your card!

Wishing You a Joyful Christmas

For some reason I REALLY thought it was Friday :(

Darn....lol

I have been so tired all week. It's been crazy at work and the gloomy cold weather isn't helping matters.
When I get home from work I just want to curl up with a blanket and do nothing.
Last night we actually had to turn the furnace on!

Last weekend I created another card using the MFT sketch.
Thanks for stopping by!

Give Thanks - Colour Throwdown #212

Good Morning!

I'm excited to announce that the Colour Throwdown Team has invited me to be a guest designer with them for the month of October!

Today's colours come from this....

I was ispired by both the fall colours and that picket fence :)
I started by stamping the tree in Early Espresso and all the leaves with Riding Hood Red and More Mustard. The little bird was stamped in Blue Bayou(needs some re-inker), then cut out and popped up. The picket fence was made from some Sahara Sand. I embossed a piece of More Mustard with a new Cuttlebug Folder.
I couldn't find any Early Espresso cardstock so I subbed in Choc Chip ;)
Stamps: Season of Friendship(SU), Year of Sentiments(Taylored Expressions); Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Naturals Ivory; Inks: Blue Bayou, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red; Accessories: CB embossing Folder, MFT Fence Die, Sewing, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Holiday Hugs

Well this image may or may not represent our weather today.....
Yep....possible rain/snow!
We were in the mid 20's C/80's F yesterday!

Hopefully NOT as I'm traveling out of town 3 hours today and don't want to deal with slippery roads. I'm sure it will melt before it hits the ground though.
Then our weather rebounds.

This was a card I created using the MFT sketch #91.

Thanks for stopping by today!
