Happy Mother's Day - FS325

Last weekend I created about 6 different Mother's Day cards for my co-workers who requested them last week.
This was one of them.

I had played along with the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS and cased Pattie's card here.
Stamp is from Verve's Because of You.
Dies are from MFT.

It's Crunch Time

Gosh, I don't know about you but I'm in a little bit of a pinch with summer clothes....lol
As much as I like to buy new ones each year I always shop near the end of the season for deals and those that I can wear next summer. We usually go to Vegas in August and by the time we get home to Calgary and back to work my summer attire usually gets shelved. I have so many new skirts and shorts that I bought last year on vacation that MAY be a little tight after the winter. It's time for me to get in shape and lose those few extra pounds :)
That's why I pulled out this old MFT set called Let's Get Physical to create a card for the MFT sketch last week.
This week doesn't look to be AS busy as last thank goodness and I hope to have some time in the evening to either go for a walk around the pond or out for a family bike ride!!
Hearing that the forecasat could be iffy with rain/wet snow mix a couple of days :(  Oh well we need the moisture!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a GREAT day!

It's a funny thing...

Spring is HERE! Yes!

First time I had my flip flops on this year :)
Mowed my back lawn this afternoon and enjoyed a soda on the back deck! Life is good!

This morning while out doing some errands I popped into my LSS to pick up some white paper and a few other things that just happened to fall into my basket ;)

I created this card below for the Freshly Made Sketch #83 using some sweet Echo Park paper called Bundle of Joy.
Sentiment is from MFT's Vertical Greetings II.
I REALLY need to get a battery for my Rebel....even editing this in Photoshop it still isn't as crisp. Guess I'll need to run out again!
Have a fabulous day!

Get Well Soon - CAS

Sunday afternoon when I was finally able to sit down in my craft room I had a chance to play along with the Featured Stamper on SCS. This is another challenge I love to participate in each week. A few years back when I was lucky enough to be chosen as the Featured Stamper, I remember how excited I was to see so many of my cards being cased. Ever since that day, I've tried to play along weekly.
This week the lucky lady was Robin and the card that helped inspire my card can be found HERE.
I've used some Taylored Expressions stamps and dies to create this CAS card.

Stamps: Oops A DaisyPaper: White, Pink Pirouette, Choc ChipInk: Memento Rich Cocoa,Accessories: Copics, Taylored Expressions Oops A Daisy Die, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Rhinestones, Taylored Expressions Elegant Butterfly Die, Dimensionals

Swinging By With a Birthday Hi :)

Good Monday Morning :)

Is it Friday yet? LOL!
This past weekend I hardly had any inky time in my craft room :(
I did have a chance on Saturday afternoon to create this card for the MFT Sketch #120 Challenge.

Spring SHOULD be here and I know that the golf courses were open for maybe a day or two. If we can have some nice rain showers rather than snow showers I may get out my clubs out soon!

I chose this nice soft pretty designer paper from Echo Park's Sweet Day as a starting point.
Image and sentiment(on the inside) are from MFT's WTG Plays Golf.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Life Happens Over Coffee

Gosh I can't believe it's been a week since I have gotten inky!!!

Work has been CRAZY busy!
So much going on, changes happening and I seem to be smack in the middle! LOL!

This morning after Chloe and I took Snickers to the groomers I needed to try and get my mojo going. So I popped over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog and also the Freshly Made Sketches as a starting point.

The Dynamic Duos Challenge #49 is Basic Black and Basic Grey with a dessert option of masculine.
I am in need of a birthday card for someone at work who is a heavy coffee drinker. I think he visits Tim Horton's 3 times during our work day!
My layout comes from the Freshly Made Sketch #82.
Stamps are from Verve's Better With You.
I stamped the coffee stains off once on a piece a paper.

Stamps: Better With You; Cardstock: White, Basic Black, Basic Grey, SU retired DP; Inks: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Sewing, Dimensionals

Last weekend while I still had the great MFT Pretty Poppies out on my table I decided to create one more quick CAS card.
Pretty simple but I like how it came out :)

I hope to find a little bit of stamping time this weekend. So much on the agenda and if I can't squeeze in a wee bit of time....I may go insane! LOL!

Sorry I Missed Your Birthday

I realized last week that I missed one of my co-workers birthdays and well...that just can't happen! Now that everyone knows I create cards I think it's necessary and expected that they receive one. Don't you agree?
I think this card would make a fabulous Mother's Day card as well!
Stamps and dies are from Taylored Expressions set called Oops A Daisy.
Cute eh?
I used the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder on the Lemon cardstock. Flowers were stamped in Memento ink and coloured with a few different copics and then die cut.
Speaking of Mother's Day I have a few card orders already! Best get on those this weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by!
See you tomorrow with my Deconstructed Sketch and also Seize The Birthday challenge cards.

Attitude!

Sorry everyone! I'll be a little late with my Sweet Sunday Sketch!

Hello :)

Last night when I was trying to take pictures of my cards I realized that my battery for my Rebel is not keeping a charge. Total bummer.
I'll have to get myself a new one but in the meantime I used my little old Olympus to snap a picture of this little cutie pie.
I created this card using the Freshly Made Sketch #81 and the Dynamic Duos Challenge #48 of Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie.
I stamped the MFT Darling Dots in Bashful Blue Craft Ink to create my background.
I'm sort of sad to see this colour retire from SU!

Let's Celebrate - STB #13

LOL! When I created my cards for both challenges today I had no idea I used the same set!
I always create ahead of time, photograph and write my posts up.
As I gathered everything for my Seize The Birthday post I realized that I created two completely different looking cards with this MFT set.

Today the Seize The Birthday team are working with this sketch below for a masculine card.

This is what I created :)
Don't forget to visit the rest of the team and show them some love :)

Stacey Schafer

I am out of town until tomorrow evening but will definitely catch up with everyone this weekend!

A Poppy In The Hand

Sunday evening after dinner I sat down to clean up my stamp room from the mess I'd created earlier in the day. I don't know about you but I sometimes I feel MORE creative when I walk into stamps, inks and cardstock all over my desk!
So instead of cleaning I got busy in another way creating this CAS card.
Using the MFT SnoCone ink I stamped the script from the Pretty Poppies set. Then stamped the poppies in Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler. Some black stickles were added to the poppy center.

Happy Birthday - Dynamic Duos #47

The Dynamic Duos have a pretty colour combo for us this week :)
Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler Challenge #47
The cool thing about the Dynamic Duos team is that you don't have to use EXACT colours..
Even though I have a lot of Pool Party I decided to use the MFT SnoCone which is a little lighter in colour but just as pretty!

Stamps: Pretty PoppiesPaper: White, Cherry Cobbler, SnoConeInk: Cherry CobblerAccessories: Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate, Taylored Expressions Elegant Butterflies, MFT border die, White Satin Ribbon, Hot glue gun
