Dashing Through The Snow

Hello :)

Wow LONG time no blogging eh?!
This time of year is insanely busy. I haven't picked up a crafting tool in nearly a month! ACK!
That's the business I'm in though. Retail is crazy until after the holidays.

Just today I addressed my Christmas cards.
Now to pick up a little something for my team at work ;)

Here is a card I created using one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches.
Stamps and dies are from PTI Papertrey Ink

Out on a Limb

Hello!

Last week I ordered a few new goodies from the MFT release and I was thrilled to have two days off in a row this week to get inky!

I can't seem to put this Out on a Limb set down ;)

Here are a few cards I created over the past couple of days using it.

This first one was created for two challenges. The Sweet Sunday Sketch and the Paper Players theme of a masculine birthday.

This next one I created for my husband who's my rock and always there for me

This next one is from the SCS sketch this week.

This last one uses the Freshly Made Sketch. I used a circle rather than a tag for my focal point.

Happy September!

Well hello and happy September!

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Thank you to many of you for the emails asking if all was okay and letting me know you missed seeing my cards.
Those emails totally make my day!!

I'll share several cards that I've created over the past month.
Not a lot of free time to stamp but I've managed to sneak into my craft room a few times :)

First up is a card I created for a Paper Players Challenge - Kids birthday and I combined it with a SCS challenge - stencilling.
Stamps: Birthday GreetingsPaper: Mixed Media Paper, BlackInk: Distress inks, Black

Next is a card I created for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
Stamps: MFTPaper: White, Black, MME dpInk: Memento black, Pool PartyAccessories: Copics, Dimensionals

Now a card that I created for another SCS challenge called Spritz or Spray.
I created my background by squiggling distress markers on a clear block then misting with water before pressing it onto my watercolour paper. I also sprayed water directly on the paper and used a piece of paper towel to pull of some colour.

Stamps: NonePaper: White, Watercolour paper, Temp TurqInk: distress inks in Peeled Paint and Broken ChinaAccessories: Stamping Block, Mr. mister, MFT butterfly die, Stencil, Modelling paste, sewing, dimesionals

Celebrate Your Special Day - Dare To Get Dirty

Hi :)

I love every summer when Splitcoast Stampers hosts the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges.
This year I was too busy to participate along as a member of the Dirty Dozen Alumni :(
I still can't believe I was ever chosen to be a part of that team back in 2008!
Wow so long ago!

Anyway, I was able to make the card below for SIX different Dare To Get Dirty challenges.
I'm having so much fun with my distress inks lately!

Always Believe In Yourself

Half way through summer :(

Why does this season feel like it zips by so quickly? LOL!
Wish I could slow it down a little!

Last week I had a few minutes to play along with a MFT sketch and I used a colour palette that I'd come across on Pinterest a little while ago.
Such a fresh colour combo!

When that happens it makes me happy!

Here is a card I created using the MFT sketch #186

You

Hello!!

Gosh it feels like forever since I've posted. Things have been super busy around here but that's summer right?
We are having such fabulous weather this year. It's hard to stay inside.

Once fall comes winter is right behind and that's when I spend most of my time indoors stamping ;)

Today is Chloe's 15th birthday and we are thinking of heading out to the parks to enjoy the sunshine while hanging out together!

Here is a card I created a few months ago that I found had not been posted here. It was from the Deconstructed Sketch #150 in early May.

Here is a card I created for the MFT sketch #185 a couple of weeks ago.

Hello :)

I hope this summer finds you enjoying beautiful weather!
We've been very lucky here with blue skies and sunshine lately.
The rain a few weeks ago has brought a millions of mosquitoes though :(
Oh well! LOL!

Last week I created this birthday card below using the MFT sketch and also the Paper Players tic tac toe challenge.
On Saturday I found out my card was chosen as the Queen of Clean by Sandy at the Paper Players!

Family Photos

Happy Friday!

Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends!
Hope you have a wonderful day spending it with your family.

Speaking of family....

I wanted to share a couple of photos from our family photo shoot outdoors a couple of days a go.
One of my friends took all of our photos and is in the process of editing but he's shared a few with us so far.
After having pictures taken outdoors we will NEVER do those boring indoor ones ever again....haha!
We went to 4 different locations to get all of our shots....so fun!

I love all of them but the last one is my favourite so far. Lethbridge is a very windy city and for about one minute it died down and we weren't swatting our hair out of our faces ;)

You Are My Favorite Reason to SMILE

Hello :)

Today we celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary.
It hasn't always been easy but it's always been worth it!

Later today we are heading outdoors for a family photo shoot! Can't wait!

Happy Anniversary Brian!
Love you!

Last night I had a little bit of trouble sleeping because I'd slept during the day trying to fight off a migraine.
What better way to pass the time then stamping!

I had created this watercolour background using some distress inks, watercolour paper and my Mr. Mister on the craft mat.
So I decided to ink up this little cutie from MFT in the same colours.
Pretty quick and simple card!

Cheer Up!

Hello :)

Earlier this week I worked a late shift a work which meant I had some crafty time in the morning. When I stamp before going to work I feel energized! Not sure why but it's always fun!

This card used the SCS colour challenge and the Paper Players Sketch.
I inked up this little PI cutie and coloured with some copic markers. A little stitching to the center panel for interest and it's complete!

Birthdays Are The Best

I'm working a late shift today. Sort of strange for a Tuesday but it does give me the ability to get crafty in the morning :)

Today the Colour Challenge 484 on SCS was Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler. The dessert option was a 4th colour and I chose Old Olive.

It's a Good Day to Be Happy

The sun is shining AGAIN today!
Yeah!
We've had so much rain as of late and on flood watch that it's nice to see things finally turn around.
Especially now that summer has officially arrived! Yippee!

This week when the MFT posted the sketch below I almost went with a sentiment or floral die BUT decided to play around a bit with my copics ;)
The sweet PI is Wish You Were Here and the sentiment comes from the Sunflower Sweetheart set.

Thanks For Being Awesome....Just Saying

Happy Wednesday!

Today I'm hoping to be at work for a very short time. It's my day off but it's also my reno meeting day :(
Not that I ever hope to go through an entire store renovation again but if I do, remind me to fight for a different meeting day....lol
Three out of four Wednesday's I have off but spend them at work. Silly me!
Anyway, when I get home today I'm going to get busy stamping!

I was excited to see yesterday that my card was chosen as one of the favourites for the Freshly Made Sketch last week!!!
I'm loving red and yellow right now. Not sure these paper packs made it back to my filing cabinet....
