Oh, Hello Chickie

Hello!

Since I still had this cute stamp set out on my desk I decided to create another card using it.

Playing along with the Paper Players  #279 sketch challenge this week.

Such a fun sketch which allowed me to pull out more designer paper. Gosh I remember when I couldn't create a card without it. Now I rarely reach for it. With all the fun embossing folders, painting/distressing techniques and more CAS creating I don't purchase quite so many paper packs.

This is a SU! only card.

Oh, Hello

Today was a nice day to just stay in and stamp.
It was dreary out and although most of our snow is gone you can definitely tell it's still winter.
Come on SPRING! LOL!

Since I had the day off I was able to participate in the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge.
Michele was the star today and she has such an awesome gallery. I've been admiring her for sometime now ;)
I chose to case her card here.

It's Sale-a-bration right now at SU! and luckily I placed a nice big order for myself(even though I'm a demo) and got a bunch of free goodies! This sweet set is fun to watercolour.
Honeycomb Happiness has this sweet chick, balloon and ice cream cone.

Make A Wish

Hello

Every single day this week I had trouble with blogger. Not sure what the issue was but I'm guessing it was ME ;)

Anyway, I have a card to share with you that I created last weekend for two challenges.
The Freshly Made Sketch and the Colour Throwdown - grey, yellow, green and orange

Links for both challenges sites are located to the right :)

I started with a piece of watercolour paper and some inks. Just blending and spritzing until I liked how they looked together. Careful not to over do it otherwise they become muddy looking. Then I used one of the pretty butterfly dies from SU.
The arrow background was created using an image from Perfect Pennants as was the sentiment.
I'm loving that new Softly Fallen embossing folder from SU too! It hasn't left my desk since it arrived.

What a Beautiful Blessing You Are To Me

I'm really enjoying this new stamp and die set from SU! It's so big and pretty!
This card I stamped and heat embossed the flower. I did a quick(super quick) colour wash over it and then cut it out. Again I added a bit of the Wink of Stella to the flower. It's such an awesome new product!
The background was embossing with the Softly Falling folder.

Happy Birthday Rose

Hello!

Today was my first day off since my new SU! goodies arrived last week.
I'll admit that I probably threw about 4 cards in the garbage before I got to this one.
Not totally loving' it but really didn't want to waste anymore paper....lol

I used the Freshly Made Sketch #218 for my layout.

I started by throwing down some ink on my watercolour paper. Then I did the same on a  small piece so I could die cut using the new Rose Garden Dies from SU! It's hard to tell in the photo but I used the Wink of Stella brush on the dies. Love that new pen from SU!

You Are So Kind

Hi!

I was so happy to have a little itty bit of time to stamp today!
Yesterday we had no heat until the furnace motor was replaced so it was TOO cold to be in the basement stamping.

This morning I thought it was time to pack up my Christmasy stamps and put them on the shelf until next year. Tomorrow I'll be getting my SU! order with a ton of new goodies! Needed to make room :)

Since I still had this pretty butterfly set on my table I thought I'd use it for two challenges:
1. SCS sketch #574
2. Color Throwdown #374 Orange, Aqua and Grey

Stamps: Watercolour WingsPaper: White, Smoky Slate, Peach Parfait, Pool PartyInk: Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Peach ParfaitAccessories: Bold butterfly Framelits, Butterfly Thinlits, Sewing, Dimensionals

Live The Life You've Imagined

Happy 2016!
I hope that this year brings everyone happiness and health!
We are looking forward to a fantastic year and hope that everyone in this house stays healthy this year. No more hospital visits ;)

Last week on NYE I was off work and managed to make a card for three Splitcoast challenges.
Colour Challenge, Sketch Challenge and Ways to Use It Challenge.
Cracked Glass was the technique. Gosh I can't recall the last time I've done that! It's such a pretty technique.
