Yesterdays' Ways To Use It Challenge was about patch work. Luckily I have little bits and pieces of the Washington Apple DSP left! I love the colours in this. So fresh and fun!!

This month Jodi challenged us to paper piecing....BUT she also said we were to make a fall or holiday card....ummmmm somewhere along the way I broke the rules...oopsie!

Taylored Expressions - October 20th Key Ingredients

This month's Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions is SPECTACULAR!! Seriously!
I love that Taylor picks out the perfect coordinating ingredients for you.
See that cute little chipboard birdie? Well there is a package of Maya Road birds in this kit along with this super cool Avacodo Metallic Maya Mist. I sprayed the chipboard and almost immediately it was dry. I'm not a patient person and that short wait time brought a smile to my face :) Just a tip for you on the mist....tap it lightly in the palm of your hand for it to mix nicely.
How about this super cute designer paper from Cosmo Cricket called Earth Love?!
Ok onto my project...
This was a little notebook I picked up in the $1.50 bin(remember I'm in Canada...lol) at Micheal's. With all the fabulous October Key Ingredients I managed to put together a great little cover for the book. The branch and sentiment are from Branching Out.
Here is a close up of the bird...can you see the sparkle? Oh and how about that yummy ribbon?!
Stop by and visit with half of the Baker's Dozen to see what fabulous creations they have to share today:

Just a friendly reminder about the monthly KI Kit Subscription:
Taylored Expressions is now offering a monthly charge program. So instead of paying for all 3 or 6 months upfront, we will be charging their card on the 15th of each month of their subscription. The 6 month subscription breaks down to just $14.95 a month plus shipping! Can't beat that value!

Wiper Card-SU! only

Good Monday Morning!
I work the late shift this evening which isn't great BUT it does give me some stamping time in the morning!! That's a plus, right?
Today's SCS technique challenge is a wiper card. It's been ages since I have made one of these. You can find a GREAT tutorial by Beate HERE.
This is a SU! only card.

Thanks So Much - Featured Stamper

Good Evening!
While doing the laundry and working on my Taylored Expressions stuff(which you'll see in a couple of days) I played along with the Featured Stamper on SCS.
I've been wanting to make some rolling hills on a card forever and after seeing Riley's card here I knew today was the day!
This is a SU! only card.
The hills were cut freehand using some retired dsp and the edges sponged with some Kiwi Kiss. When I stamped the tree trunks it left a little white spot about the grass line so I used a choc chip marker to colour it in ;)
Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: White and retired dsp; Inks: Choc chip, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun; Accessories: Sponges, SAMJ, Antique Brads, Modern Label Punch, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon

Merry Mass Production with Taylored Expressions

Good Morning!
Well it's snowing here :( Not a lot but still it's that white stuff! Oh well, it gets me in the holiday card making mood!
Today I have a fun little project to share with you.
I'm sure you are like me in that you love to make homemade Christmas cards. Now I don't usually mass produce because my cards typically have a lot of layers which makes them bulky. I do most of my Christmas card mailing to the States which costs almost $2 to mail each one. So when Taylor had the idea of us making some quick and simple cards that can be mass produced I knew I'd have to play along!
I made two designs and the only difference between them are the placement of the little crystals...lol
I love this new set from Taylored Expressions!
These were super easy to make and I'll tell you that I did them during the first period of the Oiler hockey game(which we won by the way!)
The card base is Choice Snow White...love the crisp look! I then cut pieces of Island Mist Light Prism 4.25 x 3.25. I had this pretty American Crafts DP that matched beautifully in my stash. That was cut at 4.25 x 3. After taping it to the Prism paper, I paper pierced along the bottom.
That was then taped to the cardbase. The snowman image comes from Holiday Wonder and was stamped in Memento Black Ink onto Choice Snow White. I coloured it with some Copic markers and cut it out with Oval Nesties. Another piece of Island Mist Light was cut with the Scalloped Oval. The white layer is popped up on the scalloped mat. The sentiment was stamped along the bottom. Some pretty rhinestones were added as the final detail.
Here is a group shot.
Stamps: Holiday Wonder; Cardstock: White, Prism, DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Oval Nesties, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Paper Piercer

Live Your Dream

Good Morning!
I've had this designer paper from Autumn Leaves in my stash forever. Think someone gifted it to me. I thought this flower from Live Your Dream went really well with it.

Stamps: Live Your Dream; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, WW and Autumn Leaves dp; Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Summer Sun; Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Kaiser Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
I cooked our dinner yesterday and today we will have left overs...YUM!
Before cooking and watching the race on Sunday I managed to play along with the Featured Stamper on SCS.
This is the card I made.
It's *almost* a SU! card....with the exception of the Martha butterflies ;)

NSR: I had a GREAT time at my 20 year high school reunion and it was wonderful to re-connect with so many old friends. Some going back to my elementary school days! To hear I haven't changed a bit made my day! *giggle* I couldn't believe that some came from so far away. Like Bejing, Washington DC, Louisianna, Australia, Seattle, Orange County....just to name a few!
OK and one more thing....lol
My friend Peggy from PaperworksCo has released some NEW stamps!!
Check out The Christmas Freckle Collection! They are so freakin' CUTE!

More Christmas cards!!

Good Morning!
I'm writing this up Saturday evening in between the festivities of my 20 year high school reunion. It was great to see so many old friends yesterday afternoon as we toured our old high school! Wow the memories it brings back. Chloe had a great time too! She says she wants to go there for high school now...lol
I had a couple of hours between the afternoon school tour and the evening get together at a lounge owned by an alumni. So what else would I do but stamp!
I've used two new sets from Taylored Expressions along with the Christmas Key Ingredients kit.
This first card uses the Wings of Joy stamp set and also Beate's WSC101.
Stamps: Wings of Joy
Paper: Choice Buttercream, Prism, Cosmo Cricket DP
Ink: Memento black
Accessories: copics, curly label punch, liquid applique, mat pack and paper piercer, Glossy accents, Dimensionals

This card uses the Holiday Wonder stamp set for Jen's SFYTT.

Merry Christmas TESC86

Good Afternoon!
I'm rushing a bit today as I'm heading out the door for my 20 year High School Reunion! I can't believe it's been over 20 years. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends but nervous at the same time. You know what I mean?
This morning I managed to make one card before running out of time and I chose to play along with Taylor's Weekend Sketch Challenge #86.
Just this week I finally received my TE package in the mail. Canada Post sucks for getting stuff to us...ugh!
Here I have used the new set from Taylored Expressions called Wings of Joy along with the Christmas Key Ingredients Kit. The rhinestone brads are from my stash though ;)
I coloured the chipboard snowflake with a copic marker before adding dazzling diamonds glitter to it with a 2 way glue pen.
Stamps: Wings of Joy; Cardstock: Choice Buttercream, Prism, Cosmo Cricket DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Chipboard Snowflake, Rhinestone brads, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 way glue pen, Scalloped edge punch, Mat pack and paper piercer, Dimensionals

Again, I've been a slacker! When I got home from work yesterday I just wanted to curl up on the couch with a warm blanket! It's FREEZING here! I just couldn't get it together and head to the basement(where it's cold) to stamp...lol
So I dug deep in my file folders and pulled out this old Dirty Dozen card from July 2008. These are SU! only cards for the More Is More Challenge.

Wishing You a Birthday Filled with Cupcakes!

Good Morning!
Just a super quick post today as I'm rushing to get a few things done around the house.
A friend at work asked if I could make a birthday card with lime green. It's his mom's favourite colour...lol
Hope I got it close enough!
I was totally inspired by Amy's fun layout on her card here. She has such an amazing eye for details and her colouring is always perfect!

Good Morning!
Wow we have some nasty weather coming our way!! Seems we have jumped from summer to winter...fall has decided to skip us all together :(
Guess I better make sure my snow brush is in my car! Ugh!
Since we aren't having fall here I thought it'd be cute to use a fallish image from All That Scraps for today's ATS sketch challenge. You will find the sketch on the ATS blog later this morning. We hope that you will play along!
I love Christine's Sugarplum images!!
Stamps: Sugarplums Pumpkin Emma; Cardstock: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, White, MME dp; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Ribbons, Brads, Dimensionals

Frosty Days

Good Morning!
Well yesterday was a very productive day around the Easton house! I managed to shampoo my carpets, do three loads of laundry, scrub the bathroom and kitchen floors then STAMP!
When cleaning up I found this retired SU! holiday paper from last year called Frosty Days. It was a fave of mine then and I still love it now!
My first card uses Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #100 and the cute little snowman from Merry & Bright. This is a 4.25 x 4.25 SU! only card.
The second card uses Jen's sketch for you to try. This time I used a cute mistletoe cuppie from the Taylored Expression set called Season's Sweetings.
My last card started out using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #38 but the image turned out to be larger than I had planned for the card...lol...but the basic idea was from Karen's sketch! I used another Taylored Expressions image from Season's Sweetings for this card too :)
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day!

Good Friends

Wow, what a busy weekend! I'm so thankful to have today off work and Chloe having a PD day means we can just relax together!! I'm looking forward to not rushing this morning to get ready and out the door by 7 am!
Since I worked yesterday I didn't have any stamping time. So once again, I've pulled out an old Dirty Dozen card from November 2008. I think the theme was Chick Lit. One that scared me when Carole first suggested it...lol
Was it about girls, chickens, literature? Whatever you wanted!
For this card I went with the literature theme.
Stamps: Reading Flopsy
Paper: Pumpkin pie, So Saffron, Old olive, WW and Scenic Route DP
Ink: Palette Noir Black
Accessories: Copics, Embossing folder, 5/8" old olive ribbon, Circle Nesties, Stardust Stickles, Glossy Accents, Dimensionals

ATS Pond Life

Good Morning!
Yesterday was a super long day but I had to prepare my desk for an audit at work. LOL! You should have seen my filing cabinet...YIKES! My filing was just dropping it in the drawer...not in the nice folders that are hanging there, all labeled and in order...haha! So it took me three hours to get my junk in order! From this day forward I WILL take that extra couple of minutes to be sure I've put the right paperwork in the right place ;)
Anyway, I'm sure you didn't come by to hear about my unorganization!
How about another All That Scraps sneak peek?!
Look at this super cute turtle! He is from a new set called Pond Life. It will be available on Monday, October 5th at 10 pm Eastern.
Now mozy on over to the ATS DT blogs to see what adorable cards they created with this set!
Thanks for stopping by today!
***Note that Taylored Expressions will begin their sneak peeks at 8 am PST***
Stop by the Baker's Dozen blogs to see what fabulous creations they will have to share! I won't be able to play along today :(
