PaperWorksCo.

Happy Sunday!
Sorry I didn't get around to posting my exciting news earlier! If you happen to be a member at PWCO then you may have heard already ;)
My friend, Peggy, who owns PaperWorks Co. invited me to join her and the girls on the DT! I was tickled pink! Peggy is a fantastic person and I am thrilled to be part of the team. It's also a plus that she's a fellow Edmontonian! Now we have more reasons to meet for coffee at Tim's!
Stop by the PWCO blog to meet everyone!

Here is a card I created for today's post. I've used the uber cute Charlotte again! She's such a doll, isn't she?! This is Karen's sketch from LAST week ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to scroll down for my TE post using the December 20th KI kit!

Gift Boxes using TE December 20th KI Kit

It's December 20th! You know what that means. Taylored Expressions releases another Key Ingredients Kit!!! This month there are so many pretty pattern papers included. Well every month I say that...lol but it's so nice to play with something other than Christmas papers! These My Mind's Eye Ooh La La papers are delicious!
I have so many friends who have December/January birthdays(me included ☺) that I took this opportunity to make a couple little packages.
This first one comes from SCS and you can find the tutorial here.
Of course I had to make a matching card ;)
I used the new set Sweet Occasions.

A together shot!
My next package was a quick and easy box that Jody created awhile back on her blog here. I thought I'll fill this with a little baggie of coloured M & M's! Yum!
Remember that Taylored Expressions now offers a monthly charge program rather than paying for a 3 or 6 months subscription all at once.
Stop by half of the Baker's Dozen to see what they created this month! I can't wait to see!

Happy Birthday to You!

So last night when I got home from work I turned the oven on and popped a frozen lasagna in....two hours later I came up to check on it and ummmm it was still FROZEN....I had set the temp to 400 but forgot to hit START...ugh! LOL darn digital stoves!
I've been dealing with some issues at work and haven't been in the stamping mood when I get home. Total bummer!
This card was from last year's Dirty Dozen December Gallery. I can't recall what the theme was that month(my last one...sniff sniff)
I'm off to work! Have a wonderful Saturday!

Catching Snowflakes

Good Morning!
Can you believe next week at this time it will be Christmas??!! Two weeks from now it will be 2010! Wow!
Today I'm sharing a card I made for the All That Scraps Review of December stamps. This one is from Otis and Milo Winter Wishes. Isn't this puppy cute? Pop on by the ATS blog to see what the other girls have created today too!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Cup of Cocoa?

Gosh I've had my share of cocoa over the past few days with all of our cold weather! LOL!
Good news though....we are having a heat wave!
All that cocoa inspired me to pull out Diane's new set from All That Scraps called Warm Cocoa Wishes.
I should be able to set aside a good part of today for stamping and I'm looking forward to heading to the basement where it's not so cold now!
Thanks for stopping by!

Brigitta

Well stamping all day yesterday just didn't happen :(
I did manage to make a card and a half though....lol!
Chloe had her Christmas concert and she did really well playing Mrs. C! She didn't seem too nervous and spoke slowly and clearly. We are so proud of her!
My card today uses Mercy's Sketch #52.
Brigitta was brought out again! I just love this image from All That Scraps. I wanted to use some non-traditional colours again. Pinks and purples are so pretty for Brigitta!
Stamps: Swiss Pixie Brigitta; Cardstock: Prism, White, MME dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, nesties, wavy border punch, paper piercer, stardust stickles. snowflake punch, ghost snowflake, ribbon, dimensionals

Warm Wishes

Hey all!
I just can't force myself to go downstairs and stamp! My little heater broke and without it I can't keep warm enough...lol So I am going to share another card from my Dirty Dozen days at SCS.
This card seems appropriate for what we are experiencing here. You know....funny fact....I heard on the news tonight that we were the SECOND COLDEST place in the WORLD last weekend! Seriously! Get out, eh?
You'll notice my "naked" buttons....haha! I no longer leave them NAKED after Jody said it's not right ;)
Thanks for stopping by this evening! I DO hope to stamp sometime tomorrow...it's my day off!

Forty and counting...

Last week one of my co-workers celebrated his 4oth birthday and I wanted to make a little something for his special day!
This card took me way too long to make. Remember anything over 30 minutes usually makes me want to give up...haha!
After hunting through all my chipboard for letters that matched, I finally gave up and went with upper and lower case ones. I think it looks cool this way ;)
Here is a close up of the letters. I sponged them with Real Red, Temp. Turq. and Wild Wasabi. Then I used Versamark and heat and stick powder on them. Then THREE layers of ultra thick embossing powder. Can you see those little white flecks? I must have some white ep mixed in with my heat and stick...haha! Again, I think it looks cool that way!
This jar has been sitting on my counter for months!!! I decided it would be perfect to hold 40 dp wrapped chocolates! I had really wanted to add "40" to each one but after the card took so long, I opted against it! Ha! The belly band was created with some Wild Wasabi Textured Cardstock and DP. Since the layers of ultra thick ep took so long I decided to just add some Crystal Effects to these numbers. So they are just shiney and no flecks ;) I'm not sure he noticed the difference.
He was so excited about the card!! Made my day! He showed it to everyone and told them it was like getting a new shiney car!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope it's warm where you live because we are an ICE box here!

There are no thoughts of snow with this card....only SPRING! It's been a little while since I have created a SU! only card and decided it was time :) Although I'm no longer a demo I still love their products. It seems as though the name Charlotte is popular this holiday season! LOL!
This is Charlotte from Little Loud Stamps which are available from PaperWorksCo.

{Friends

Last week I received my order from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. She has some of the cutest images! I've seen so many people using them and knew I'd have to get them. Since she's in Canada, like me, I didn't have to wait an eternity for my order to arrive. No customs, no duty and no exchange rate! Yeah!
This is Charlotte.

Thanks for stopping by today! It's been super cold here and when it's like that I don't go downstairs to stamp much. I hope to get some other things made later this week!

Good Evening!
Well today has been CRAZY! With snow that is! I can't believe the snow we have gotten in the past day...it's unreal! It looks like we have had winter for months and not 24 hours...lol
Other than digging out today I didn't go anywhere. So I stamped this evening after getting our Christmas tree up!!! Chloe did a fabulous job. Usually I am picky with what goes on the tree and where but this year I thought I'd let her take control.
Saturdays mean an Inspiration Challenge on SCS and I chose to use this piece here.
I gave brayering a shot....as you can see I need to practice a bit more...
This is a new set from Taylored Expressions called Discover Your Wings.
Stamps: Discover Your Wings; Cardstock: Black, Kiwi Kiss, White; Inks: Black, Kiwi, Soft Sky, Baja Breeze; Accessories: Brayer, Stickles, Dimensionals

Discover Your Wings - TE sneak peek

Happy Wednesday!
I almost thought I wouldn't have a time to get this posted last night....my furnace broke down...again...I think it's time for it to be replaced...lol
I spent a great deal of the evening close to a vent...trying to warm up! LOL! I also wanted to be sure that it didn't quit again...So far so good!
_________________________________________________________
Today Taylored Expressions and the Baker's Dozen are previewing an upcoming set called Discover Your Wings. Every three months Taylored Expressions releases a set for the TE Giving Tree Program.
Discover Your Wings
was designed by Nancy McKinney and $7 from the purchase of each set will be donated to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/home/
The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation is a charity that serves families dealing with infant death. Their mission statement is “To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring their child’s legacy.” NILMDTS administers a network of almost 7000 volunteer photographers in the US and 25 other countries. This is a wonderful charity that TE is honored to support and I would encourage you to learn more about them by going to their website.
This card is a 5 x 5 square. The image was coloured with Copics and some Stardust Stickles were added to the wings along with some Tiny Taylor Twinkles.

Your Friendship is a Blessing

Happy Monday!
Whew I'm so glad the weekend is over! It was soooooooooo busy at work and there was soooooooooooo much drama! Last night I had a young man have a seizure or something at the front of the store. After tending to him and calling 911(twice...grrrrr) I was worried sick about him. A few hours later his mom called to thank us for taking good care of her son. That was really sweet of her and helped calm my nerves a bit.
Before all that work stuff...I was able to stamp a few cards!
This one was for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #46.
Just recently I picked up this Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg designer paper. So rich and warm, eh?
I stamped the images from Branching Out with Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copics. This is one of my all time fave stamp sets from Taylored Expressions!!!
Stamps: Branching Out; Cardstock: Choice Buttercream, Core'dinations, Nutmeg DP; Inks: Mememto Rich Cocoa; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Dew Drops, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
