Thanks So Much

Happy Sunday!
I'm home from my weekend trip but sadly Chloe was unable to come along. She came down with something on Friday and we thought it best she stay home with her dad. I told her we will go for another roadtrip next month though!
I had a FANTASTIC time with my friend Karen!
While doing the laundry this afternoon I sat down and stamped a few cards. This one is for today's Featured Stamper on SCS.
I chose to CASE this card HERE.
Since it's the 2nd day of SPRING I went with some pastels.
Stamps: Trendy Trees; Cardstock: PTI Lemon Tart, SU Bashful Blue, WW and WeRMemoryKeepers DP; Inks: Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue; Accessories: Mat pack and Paper piercer, Martha Butterfly Punch, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals

I will most likely have my laptop with me this weekend and will check in when I can. I have some blog posts ready to go though ;)
Have a GREAT weekend!

I ♥ Stamps

Earlier this week I received my first SU! order as a customer!! I ordered from Renee and if you are in Canada and need to place an order stop by and see her!
I was getting low on some cardstock and ribbon so I thought why not throw in a couple of stamp sets too?! ha!
I love this Tote-ally Tess...she's a doll! I've made a couple of cards with her already and you'll see them soon!
Stamps: Tote-ally Tess; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, White and MME dp; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Martha Border Punch, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals
Last night after I typed up my blog post I decided to go down and stamp. It's a great way to relax! Besides Wednesday's are my FAVE SCS challenge day...it's a sketch! Yeehaw!
I pulled out a great stamp set from Stampers Dream called Big and Small Flowers. I even used scissors accident free :)
Stamps:Big and Small Flowers; Cardstock: Kraft, White, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP; Inks: memento black; Accessories: Copics, chipboard, stickles, paper piercer, dimensionals

Branching Out

Good Wednesday Morning!
Only a couple more days until Chloe and I go on a girls weekend road trip! We are off to visit my best friend...should be loads of fun!!
Last week I pulled out one of my fave stamps sets from Taylored Expressions called Branch Out. I had stamped the image on kraft and coloured with copics. Then the image sat on my desk until Monday afternoon. Luckily, I picked up some new My Mind's Eye dp and my SU! order arrived so I used my new papers and punch! Yippee!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT Wednesday!

Let Your Dreams Grow

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday was such a productive day. I made whacks of cards but can't show them all just yet ;)
Since it's Tuesday it's time for another fantastic sketch by Mercy!
Stop by her blog to see the sketch and link up your card :)
My card was created using a JustRite set called Friendship Borders and Centers. It's out of stock currently at Stampers Dream but it'll be back soon enough. I've also used the super cool Lush designer paper along with some Prism papers.
Hope you have time to stop by the DT to see what fabulous cards they created!

Mojo 130 Butterfly

Good Monday morning!
Well I for one am glad the weekend is over...
I worked all weekend and now have today off! Yeah!
I plan on doing a lot of stamping today!
This is the first card in a line of many, I hope ;)
I don't often get to play along with Julee's Mojo sketches anymore because of working but today I did :) Which makes me very happy!
I stamped a butterfly but then didn't like the "flat" feel of it and well I'm lazy and don't like scissors much so I grabbed one the Jenni Bowlin butterflies that were still on my table, sponged a little Distress Linen ink on it and finished it off!

Featured Stamper...Hi, it's me...

For today's Featured Stamper on SCS. I chose to CASE this card HERE of Kristen's.
I used her same layout and kept with the MFT theme as well. These adorable PI girls are a fave of mine! I used two different ones that I picked up from Stampers Dream. The image is called PI Flower Girl and the sentiment is from PI Heart Striped. The pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket and is called Garden Variety.
Thanks for stopping by today...enjoy your Sunday~!

WT261 What's New?

Yesterday's Ways to Use it Challenge was What's New?
Lookie me....I used black again! I really like the black with the Iced Teal Prism and Lush papers.
I stamped the image in Versafine Black and embossed in black as well.
I used my new Martha border punch too!
So new prism, new dp and a new punch!
Thanks for stopping by today!

It's an EXTRA buttery kind of day!

Just another card I made based on the SCS sketch from yesterday.
I love this image from the Chick Flick set available from MFT.
My B34 copic and I have a love hate relationship as we have "issues". This time it was with a big blob of ink falling on the girls foot...ugh! I used the colourless blender as best I could to remove the ink ;)
Stamps: Chick Flick; Cardstock: So Saffron, Ruby Red, Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Dimensionals
It's my day off today and I have a bunch of things I would LIKE to get done...let's see how much I accomplish...ha!
Have a FAB Thursday!

Hello There!

I'm late posting today :)
I knew I'd have time to stamp this morning since I work the late shift today...I like these sort of days!
Anyway, I played along with the SCS sketch this morning and made a SU! only card. When I started this card I had intended on using up some of my Good Morning Sunshine scraps but when I went to the drawer I found only yucky patterns that I don't like...ha! So this is a pretty simple card with no DSP!
Stamps: Cheep Talk; Cardstock: Choc chip, So saffron, Pacific point, Kiwi kiss, WW; Inks: Choc chip, Pacific point, So saffron, Kiwi kiss, Pumpkin pie; Accessories: Scalloped edge punch, Mat pack and paper piercer, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Wednesday!

Good Moms Let You Lick The Beaters...

ha! I love this image and sentiment! Cracks me up!
It's time for Mercy's sketch and this week we are working on MTSC64. It's a good one! As always ;)
Here I have used a cute stamp set I picked up called Mix It Up and it's from a company called Darcie's. I stamped the image in Memento Black and coloured with Copics. After trimming the image I added a bit of Espresso Dimensional Pearls to the spatula and splatters.
Here is the inside....see...funny eh?
Stamps: Mix it Up; Cardstock: Regal Rose, Old Olive, White, Georgia Peach DSP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Pearls, Scalloped Edge Punch, Espresso Dimensional Pearls, Dimensionals
I loved the sketch so much I made a second card with some designer paper that Brian bought me. It's not my usual style(if I had one) but I like the end result too.
Stamps: Upsy Daisy; Cardstock: Old Olive, Vanilla, My Mind's Eye DP; Inks: Old Olive; Accessories: Nesties, Pearls, Martha Border Punch, Stickles, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals

Mi Casa Es Su Casa

Good Morning!
Saturday after working most of the day I came home and stamped! I love when I have time to relax and create in the evenings.
This first card uses a new set from Stampers Dream called Mi Casa. I'd recently picked up some Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP but hadn't had a chance to cut into it. Finally I did! I love it! So fresh, bright and springy!
Stamps: Mi Casa; Cardstock: Ruby Red, So Saffron, Kraft, Vanilla; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Ribbon, Scalloped Edge Punch, Pearls, Dimensionals
Since I still had the dp on my table I thought I'd use it for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS! Vera had a beautiful card here in which she created her own designer paper. I cheated ;) LOL!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a GREAT week!

Sunday, 7 March 2010

Hi, it's me...again ;)

Good Sunday Morning!
It's been gorgeous outside and it's almost like spring! LOVE it! It's been a pretty good winter here but I'll be glad when the chance of snow is long over and the grass can be seen! LOL!
This weather has put me in a colourful mood!
Last week I received my little copic airbrush system from All That Scraps and yesterday was the first time I used it. It's a fun tool and even Brian was impressed!
I decided to ink up the cute and adorable Heart Striped Girl that you can find at Stampers Dream. After stamping and colouring her with copics, I masked her off and used a blue and green shade to airbrush with. What do you think? I can't wait to practice more and more with it!
Stamps: Heart Striped Girl; Cardstock: Ruby Red, Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Airbrush System, Ribbon, Button, Thread, Wavy Border Punch, Curly label punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT Sunday!

Coffee...they should just call it crack

LOL! I know of some people who can't function without coffee and have several cups a day...ha!
I admit that I have one cup daily, with the exception of Saturday's when I work EXTRA early and I can't bring myself to get up any earlier to have some.
I still had the papers out from Brian's card and thought I'd use up some of the scrap pieces for this one. Don't you think the skull coffee wrap is cool?!
This stamp set is called Coffee Vol #1 and it's from Skipping Stones Design. I paper pieced the coffee wrap which is funny because I just finished saying to Renee last night on the phone that I don't like scissors or paper piecing....rofl!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoy the weekend!

You're Never Too Old to Do Goofy Stuff

Today is my husband's birthday!
Happy Birthday Brian!
Not too long ago I was shopping at a LSS and they had a sale at the back of the store where you could sell some of your new or gently used stamping goodies. I picked up a few packages of retired SU! dsp. This Rockabilly DSP was one that caught my eye in the catty but I passed on it and was excited to find it at the sale!
I thought this would make a fun birthday card for Brian. This is also a SU! only card :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a few more Pure Innocence Girls from Stampers Dream. I am so excited that Michelle has brought them into the store!! This one is Heart Striped. Spoiled Rotten

This is my third post today....hope you'll scroll through for my others :)

I enjoyed Mercy's sketch so much that I wanted to make another card using it!
So this one is uses a cute new image that is called Spoiled Rotten by Impression Obsession which is available from Stampers Dream.
I stamped the image in Memento black ink and coloured with Copics. I thought this fun designer paper from my stash worked well with this adorable puppy!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fabulous day!

March Muse!

A few months back I got a sweet email from Mercy asking if I'd like to play along with her weekly sketches in March. Well guess what? It's March!! Finally....lol!
She always has such wonderful sketches and I look forward to Tuesdays!
Be sure to pop by her blog to see the actual sketch MTSC63 but this was my take on it.
You'll see a little extra layer on the panel under the oval image. I had a funny scrap piece of dp and really wanted to incorporate it somehow.
Stamps: Season of Friendship; Cardstock: Real Red, Choc Chip, Vanilla, October Afternoon Farm Fresh DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Ruby Red, So Saffron; Accessories: Oval Nestie, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Ribbon, Dimensionals

Sunday was the Nascar race AND the Gold Medal hockey game!
Today I have a new Swiss Pixie from All That Scraps to share. This is Spring Birgitta. Isn't she sweet?!
She was coloured with copics and a little bit of dazzling diamonds were added to her wings. I used a gelly pen for the flower centers but you can't see it :( Sorry!
