Snickerdoodles

Hello!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Mine was FANTASTIC!!!

We did a LOT of baking this weekend. Now I have to package it up and give it away! LOL!

I love baking but I don't love eating all of it!

Here are some Snickerdoodle cookies we packaged up for Chloe's school bus driver.

I used Maria's Treat Box Tutorial on SCS.

The little tag was made using the MFT Tag Die.

I decorated it up with some velvet ribbon and a felt snowflake using the MFT snowflake die.

Fairly quick and simple project.

I think the others will just be gift tags as they are super duper quick to put together!

Here is a closer look at the tag....

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you have a GREAT start to the work week!!!

My 40th birthday cake

Last night we went out for dinner to celebrate my 40th birthday a little early.

Being that my birthday is only a few days before Christmas it gets hard to get together or into a restaurant.

Karen had this birthday cake and cake pops made for ME!

I was sooooooo excited about it!

We aren't eatting the cake...ha....well maybe for Christmas ;)

There were 24 cake pops to start...I had my own Oiler team .... hehe!

How cool is this?!!!

It's my favourite cake ever!

Karen's friend started her own business and I know where I'll be going to order cakes from now on.

If you live in or around Calgary and are interested in Sarah's cakes please email me or leave me a note.

Thanks for sharing in my happiness!

Have a great day!

Winter Joy - Deconstructed Sketch

Happy Saturday!

Today I think I may do some baking with Chloe. I have favourited several recipes lately and I will let Chloe choose one or two for us to bake. We're supposed to have a Chinook today which means I might be able to open the windows for a bit...fresh air!

Tonight we are going out for an early birthday dinner.

Should be a GREAT day!

My card below was created on Thursday evening using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #31.

This was another new-to-me Unity stamp that I ordered called Roly Poly Winter Joy.

Isn't he cute?!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Hello Winter - Featured Stamper Card

Hello Weekend!

A little more than a week until Christmas. Are YOU ready?

Last weekend Peggy was the featured stamper on SCS and she had a wonderful card here that I chose to case.

I changed it to a winter theme but kept the same basic layout with the same dies.

Here I used dies from MFT.

Homespun Birdhouse and the Fence die-namics.

Stamp is from the Homespun Birdhouse set.

Gratitude is the Open Door to Abundance

Last night there was nothing good on tv so I chose to head to the basement and do a little stamping.

Soon I'll be in need of thank you cards.

I decided to pull out this MFT set called Clearly Sentimental About Abundance.

There were several die-namics used on my card as well.

Layered Label Die, Scallops Die, Prima Donna Petals Die.

Thanks for stopping by today!

O Christmas Tree Mojo219

Hello~

We are half way through the work week! Yippee!

Last night I needed another masculine Christmas card so I looked to the Mojo219 sketch for inspiration!

I thought what the heck let's combine it with the Colour Challenge on SCS which was Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.

Well that's where it all went wrong.

I grabbed the wrong green, didn't have the red and just plain old forgot the crumb. ugh.

I think it came out okay anyway ;)

I used the wondeful Verve stamp set called O Christmas Tree.

The two tabs on the side are made with the Classy Label Die.

Stamps: O Christmas Tree; Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Black, White, Teresa Collins DP; Inks: Lucky Limeade; Accessories: Pearls, Copics(to colour pearls), Liquid Pearls, Nesties, Sewing, Classy Label Die, Dimensionals

Snowman Gift Tags

Last night after dinner Brian asked if I could make him some gift tags. I figured since he offered to go stand in line at the post office for me that I could help him out ;)

I'm nice like that....lol

I used up some designer paper from last year.

The tag is from MFT and the snowman is from PTI In The Meadows.

I die cut the snowman with some white felt.

I probably would have made more but my sewing machine was giving me fits and I had to keep fixing it....so I gave up...haha!

In case you don't know me well....I have very little patience.

Some Bunny's...

been naughty!

I couldn't help myself. I HAD to use this sweet TCP image again. He's just so stinkin' cute!

After not stamping for several days I was antsy to get downstairs and make something. BUT as soon as I sat down I was stumped and had no idea what I was going to do.

Cruising some blogs I decided on combining two challenges.

The TCPTues188 challenge(red, pink and gray) along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

This is what I ended up with....

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hope you have a wonderful start to the week!

Home....

is where my heart is.

I have been busy Christmas shopping and wrapping gifts this weekend and haven't stepped into my stamp area.

Hopefully today!

It's only two weeks until Christmas!!!!

My card below was created for the MFT sketch #49 that was posted last Wednesday.

I still had these papers on my desk from the Mojo Monday card and thought I'd give them another go.

Here I used the fabulous Well Worn stamp and die set from MFT.

Love that set!

Thanks for stopping by today~

Santa Gift Tags C4C117

Hello!

This week the Crazy for Challenge C4C117 is to use a Santa on your card or project.

Looking in my stamps I only found a few Santa images....how can that be?

Being that I haven't wrapped any of my gifts yet I figured I could use a couple more gift tags!

Finally decided on this cute Santa from an older SU! set called Deer Friends.

Again I was able to use more small scraps of designer paper. No wasting this year!!

For a bit of pizzazz I added some red glitter and white flock to Santa :)

Be sure to stop by the C4C blog to see what the ladies have created and leave them some love~

If you play along and upload to SCS please use keyword C4C117 and then come back to the C4C blog to link up your creation~

Have a wonderful weekend!

Snowman Hugs

Happy Weekend!

Last night I created this quick card using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #30.

I was in need of another holiday card. I can't believe I've used about 45 cards this year! Wow!

Anyway, I stamped and coloured him with copics.

Love this Echo Park paper...it's so fun!

Love - A Friendship Caught on Fire

Last night while waiting for our dinner to cook I was able to sneak down to the basement and make a couple of cards.

I've been busy making so many Christmas cards that I'm sort of burned out from it. Thought a break for a couple of days would be nice.

Here I used the Mojo218 sketch from Monday.

I'd recently ordered the new Love Birds Die Set from Verve and was itchin' to use them.

I combined them with the Love Story stamp set.

I've also used the Jotted Heart Die and the From The Heart Die.

Stamps: Love Story; Cardstock: Kraft, My Mind's Eye DP; Ink: Black; Accessories: From The Heart Die, Jotted Heart Die, Love Birds Die, Button, Twine, Cork, Oval Nesties, Dimensionals

Good Tidings

Yeah! It's Wednesday!

Is it just me or is this week dragging?

I have so much to do yet time is ticking by SO slowly....

I haven't had any stamp time since the weekend but I do have a card to share ;)

This one uses more of those awesome PTI dies from In the Meadows.

I love that they make quick and easy cards.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Tags

Good Tuesday Morning!

Today I have a set of little gift tags that I created with scraps of designer paper that were on my table.

Kraft cardstock was cut using the Tag, You're It Die from MFT. Some pieces of Echo Park designer paper was sewn to some Riding Hood Red cardstock. The corners were rounded with the Corner Chomper.

The tree was cut with the Taylored Expressions Trim The Tree Die and green felt.

Some ribbon, twill, buttons and linen thread finish them off.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Christmas Tree

What a WONDERFUL weekend!

We had so much fun and family time it was perfect!

Yesterday morning while my family slept I snuck down to the basement to create a few cards.

This one uses the Deconstructed Sketch(link on my sidebar).

I think these PTI In The Meadows Dies are my favourite this holiday season. Such a variety in the group!

From animals to trees to snowman. Everything you need!

This time I reached for the tree die. I stamped with the matching image in Always Artichoke.

Not sure why the ribbon looks so bright in the picture but IRL it's a lot more like the designer paper.

Stamps: In The Meadows; Cardstock: Black, White, Teresa Collins DP; Ink: Always Artichoke; Accessories: PTI In the Meadows Die, Sewing, MFT Scallop Die, Black Pearls, Dimensionals,Corner Chomper, Ribbon

Warm Winter Wishes - Sketch For You To Try

Jen has a fabulous Sketch For You To Try for December posted on her blog.

With the snow falling yesterday afternoon I was in the mood to pull out this adorable MFT Pure Innocence called Holiday Hugs Snowman.

He's such a cutie!

I have no plans other than stamping today!

Hope to finish up my holiday cards and start addressing them this afternoon.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Today has been wonderful!

We spent the afternoon decorating, baking and listening to Christmas music.

The snow was lightly falling earlier but it's since picked up.

When I checked the Our Creative Challenge today it was a simple sketch that you could add to it.

I chose to use this Verve set called Christmas In The Air.

The tree was cut using the Winter Fun Die Set.

Dashing Through The Snow - Crazy 4 Challenges

Hello!

I really look forward to the Crazy 4 Challenges each week and I hope you do too!

This week the C4C116 is all about your Favourite Christmas Movie.

OOPS! I based mine on my fave Christmas Song....lol

Create a card or project around it and be sure to link it up on the C4C blog.

I have several Christmas songs that I love. It's my favourite time of the year! I have a hard time not singing them after the holidays....lol

My card today is based on one of my faves....

I can't wait to see what the other girls have created on the C4C blog!!

Looking forward to singing and decorating our house this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

ETA: The snowflake die is from MFT and the sleigh die and hill(hard to see the glitter) are from PTI's In The Meadows.

At Christmas, all roads lead home

I'm really rushed for time so I will just leave you this card using the MFT sketch #48.

I love this sentiment and think it's from the Clearly Sentimental About Christmas.

I used a variety of dies and some fun designer paper.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great Friday!

Christmas Blessings

Wow! Happy DECEMBER!

Only two more work days!

It's been another busy week but that's always good as it makes it go by much faster.

I had about 20 minutes last night to make a quick CAS card using the SCS sketch #361.

This is a SU! only card.

Stamps: Welcome Christmas, Star-Studded Season; Cardstock: White, Blue Bayou, Riding Hood Red, Pear Pizzazz, Ski Slope DSP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Sewing, Dimensionals
