You're So Vintage

Hello :)

I haven't had much time to get inky this past week. Well if I'm being honest, I did last week but the weather has been AMAZING! That means I need to be outside enjoying it! LOL!

Tomorrow Brian and I are driving Chloe to my sister's house in BC so she can spend the week with them. She's so excited! Brian and I are looking forward to seeing the family too :) Our visit will be short though as we have to turn around the next day and drive back home for work. Bummer! haha!

Here is a card I created using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch a couple of weeks ago.
I've used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called That Thing You Did.
I wanted to use some darker colours for once. I've been on light summery colours and I'd forgotten how much I love Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie together! I added a pop of red with the button and itty bits of ink.
Stamps: That Thing You DidPaper: Very Vanilla, Choc chip, Tangelo Twist, SU dspInk: Tangelo Twist, Choc Chip, Real REdAccessories: Button, Twine, Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sewing

Hope You're Feeling Special Today

Happy Monday!

Back to work after having the weekend off.
Always a day of mixed emotions haha!
Excited to see what happened at work and frightened at the same time....

Here are a couple of cards I created yesterday.
I combined the Paper Players Challenge of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Real Red with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
This first one uses a new SU! set called Garden In Bloom. Beautiful 2 step floral set. I can see myself reaching for it often :)
Stamps: Garden In BloomPaper: White, Island Indigo, Real RedInk: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Real Red, BlackAccessories: Paper Piercer, Button, Pool Party Twine, Dimensionals
This one uses a MFT set called Go Overboard. It's such a fun set!

This one is a SU! only card using some new goodies!
This one is for a Paper Players Challenge a couple of weeks ago. Using PTI stamps.
Here's another one for the Paper Players Challenge and uses the Sweet Sunday Sketch from a couple of weeks ago.

Hello!

I've been such a bad blogger :(
Getting here to post seems to be a little bit of a stretch and I hope I can find the time to turn that around!
Creating and sharing cards is something that I love to do.

I'll share a couple of cards that I have created in the last little while.
For the Freshly Made Sketch #187.

Wishing You Sunshine

Hello!

I've been lucky to have quite a bit of stampy time this weekend!
If the weather wasn't so nice I'd be down here stamping non-stop but it's nice out and the fresh air is awesome!

I just finished this card for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #270.

I used some fun Reverse Confetti Stamps and Dies.

Celebrate!

Hi!

Yesterday my SU! box of new sneak peek goodies arrived!
I only ordered a few things and am not yet convinced that the newest In Colours are something I'll reach for very often.
Of all the colours I think I like the Cucumber Crush the best. It's bright and fun!
I created this SU! only card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

The balloon was created using washi tape from the new Cherry On Top design to match the designer series paper.
The sentiment comes from the Celebrate Today stamp set.
Stamps: Celebrate TodayPaper: White, Cucumber Crush, Cherry On Top DSPInk: Cucumber CrushAccessories: Cherry On Top Washi Tape, Balloon Framelits, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, White Thick Bakers Twine, Dimensionals

Thanks

Hello!

I was so excited to have a few minutes to play along with today's CAS challenge SCS.
Created a thank you card for Chloe.
She spoiled me this past weekend for Mother's Day.
I truly am SO lucky to have her as my daughter.
Here's a shot Brian got of us laughing about something. My eyes are half open but I still love the photo.

Hey! I Miss You Already

Hi!

I haven't stamped in days but I plan on changing that this week. Trying to get more in a routine. Brian hooked up my tv and digital box by my stamp table so in the evening when he's busy on his computer in the basement, I can be down there with him! Fun!

Here's another card I created using the pretty colour combo from last week's Paper Players Challenge #240 and also Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #264.

Hello :)

Hello!

Feels like I've been down and out for weeks and it's only been two days of feeling yucky!

Hopefully I'm back to myself soon and can continue organizing my new craft space.

Here is a card I created for two challenges:

I'm in love with these SU! colours and stamps!
I was a little late to the party as these are retiring colours in just a few short months :(
I will be stocking up on all three of these for sure!!!
HereI used the new to me set called Flower Patch and Hi There along with the Flower Fair framelits.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Canvas

Happy Thursday!
Or is it? LOL!

This is my late day and for some reason I'm always wide awake at 4:30am. Sure makes for a LONG day!
Plus this is my full weekend to work. Monday seems so far away. While most of you dislike Monday morning, I'll be jumping for joy LOL!

Yesterday Chloe and I got crafty together. Not often does she like to get involved in anything artsy.
She's the reader and writer in our our house.
So when she said she wanted to do something with canvas, I thought, what the heck! Let's do this!

She doesn't want me to show what she's working on but I'll show you what was completed yesterday.
I started with a blank canvas and added a layer of Gesso.
After that dried I added some hexagon shapes with a stencil and modeling paste.
Rubbed some Baked Brown Sugar ink over it and added some swipes of aqua colour paint. Thinking it needed to be muted a bit I rubbed more of the Baked Brown Sugar ink on the entire canvas.
I die cut some MFT flowers and leaves and sponged them. Everything was attached with a glue gun. Afterward I decided to spritz the entire canvas with some pretty Angel Mist.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Rainbows of Life...

Happy Wednesday!

I'm so excited to be off today because Chloe is on Spring Break and we have some plans to get crafty together!!
She rarely likes to get inky but we are going to give some mixed media and canvas a whirl later today.
Should be fun!!!

Here is a card I created last weekend using the Freshly Made Sketch #180 and also for the Paper Players Challenge #239 - Die Cuts
Look at all that white space! A card like this used to freak me out but they've grown on me :)

Grateful

Hello!
Hope everyone had a nice Easter!

It was a quiet day for us. Some much needed R&R time.
I was able to get into my stamp area and do some organizing and then stamping!

I created the card below for the Featured Stamper on SCS and also for the Paper Players Challenge this week to use die cuts.
I chose to CASE Stef's card here.
I really wanted to use some of the tools that Brian had gotten for me over the past several months.
So I got busy with some distress inks and my paint brush. Once that dried I reached for some modelling paste and a stencil.
I forgot how fun it is to get messy! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello and happy Easter weekend!

It's Good Friday and I'm working. That's retail life.
It's going to be busy with everyone coming in for a ham or turkey or fish today.
Looking forward to the busy times actually :)
Makes my day go by faster....lol

The card below was created using the Freshly Made Sketch and was chosen as one of the favourites this past Tuesday :)

I'm loving these cute new stamps from Reverse Confetti!!
This one I made for Brian and left for him on the front seat of his truck when he left for work in the morning.

Happy Birthday To You

Hello!

Today I'm finally packing up my craft room! Yeah!

We are hoping to be moved this weekend but won't have any internet until next Wednesday :(
Bummer!

Tomorrow is Brian's birthday!
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch below to create his birthday card.
Since I'm packing up I decided to reach to my scrap pile for card stock colours. I really love this Hawaiian Shores colour from Papertrey. The card is for my husband so I decided to add a little red heart for a pop!
Thanks for stopping by!
