Lauren's Sketch Card

Happy Monday!
I haven't stamped yet today :( It's been another day at the school. We didn't plan to be there the entire day but we were...oh well!
I'm waiting on my UPS dude now...he doesn't usually arrive until about 5 pm...doesn't he know that's when I cook dinner? How am I supposed to stamp AND cook?
Here is a card I made yesterday using Lauren's sketch on her blog.
I had been in an organizing mood this weekend and I found this piece of Imaginisce DP in the drawer. That's two pieces of DP I have found lately that I didn't know I had....amazing what a little cleaning and organizing will do for you!
Stamps: MFT Serenity Now; Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Kraft, WW and Imaginisce DP; Inks: Adirondack Black, Versafine Black; Accessories: May Arts Ribbon, Copic Markers, Tops of Build a Brads(extras in the case), Dimensionals, Corner Rounder

SAS card and Featured Stamper

Good Afternoon!
Wow this has been another busy day around the Easton house. First thing this morning we were off to Costco and then Walmart. After putting all the groceries away, I made us lunch. It's a beautiful day here so out I went to clean up the doggie doo(yuck I know) and fix the trampoline enclosure. I then decided to tackle the BBQ...it needed to be cleaned BADLY!
After being out in that hot sun I thought I'd head to the basement to start creating some cards.
This card is for a SAS that a teacher requested....it will be birthday themed. I have a hard time with mens cards and thought this one MAY do. What do you think? I kept the "O" in enjoy blank for now and they can stamp one of the little stamps in it, maybe a star, heart, flower or whatever.
Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Pumpkin, WW and Bali Breeze DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Pumpkin; Accessories: Corner Rounder, 5/8"choc ribbon, Distresser, Dimensionals
Sundays is the Featured Stamper on SCS. Today it was Jodi aka Kharmagirl. I chose to CASE this card HERE. I liked the layout and the colours of Pink and Purple together.

Stamps: Fairy Nice, Riveting; Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Lavendar Lace, WW and Berry Bliss DP; Inks: Basic Black, Lavendar Lace, Pretty in Pink, Garden Green, Close to Cocoa, Blush; Accessories: 1/2", 1 1/8", 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circle punches, Making Memories Sparkle Star Brad, Pretty in Pink Brads, May Arts Ribbon, Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Two sketch cards

Good Saturday Evening!
I'm super late posting again....sorry! We went out of town today looking at some houses and the business that my husband is looking at buying. Now I'm just waiting for the race to start so I thought I'd quickly post a couple of cards.
This first card uses Jen's sketch from her blog.

This sketch is from Beate's Weekend Sketch on her blog. I found this cute Doodle Bug DP in my drawer last night and thought it would go nicely with this new stamp set from CC Designs called It's My Birthday. LOL...don't you LOVE that sentiment?!
You can find this stamp set at All That Scraps ;)

Stamps: It's My Birthday; Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Certainly Celery, Choc Chip, WW and Doodle Bug DP; Inks: Adirondack Black, Choc Chip; Accessories: Copic Markers, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, Dimensionals

My Winnings, A Sketch and A Colour Challenge Card

Happy Tuesday!
Oh LOOK at my winnings from All That Scraps!!!
These are all the stamps I won in the CC Designs Contest a couple of weeks ago. Aren't they nice???? I can't wait to crack these packages open and ink them up.
Be sure to hop on over to All That Scraps and pick up these fabulous new goodies!
This is my sketch for Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch this week. Now that I look at it, I think I should have roughed up the Really Rust layer and pulled it apart so I had that suede look to it. Well I COULD always do another card right?
Stamps: MFT Ride 'em Cowgirl
Cardstock: Choc Chip, Sage Shadow, Really Rust, Very Vanilla, DP
Inks: Adirondack Espresso, Choc Chip
Accessories: Copic Markers, Small and Lg Oval Punch, Small and Lg Star Punch, Copper Brads, Dimensionals
This morning I was up super early and ready before 8 am....had a little time to kill before heading off to the school. I took a quick look at the SCS Colour Challenge today and ALMOST passed for the second week in a row. Real Red, Night of Navy, Glorious Green....ack! My friend challenged me to make a card, she said just step out of my comfortable box and TRY it! So I did.
I kept the Glorious Green to a minimum ;)

Technique Challenge Card

Happy Monday!
Well it was back to school today. I'm missing Spring Break already....haha!
I've only had time to make ONE card so far today....ugh....but I will work on others in a bit ;)
First I have to tell you....I made a mistake with this card but I think it turned out to be a good mistake. Don't you like when you make those kind??
When I was taping down the red panel on the stars layer....I stuck it on the TOP rather than the bottom. Can I just tell you that I was relieved to find that out BEFORE I stamped the sentiment...haha!
So rather than trying to take the red layer off I just moved the star panel to the bottom of the card. Do you think it looks okay this way?
I actually like it.
So onto why I made this card....
It was for todays Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS....Ribbon Layers.
You were to layer 2 or more ribbons....not make a bigger bow with two or more....layer ;)
So that's what I did. I used 5/8" Celery and Sheer Red w/White Polka Dots.
Stamps: GinaK Make A Wish
Cardstock: Real Red, Brocade Blue, WW and American Crafts DP(orange and green are backs)
Inks: Adirondack Black, Versafine Black
Accessories: Copic Markers, Quickie Glue Pen and Glitter, Small Star Punch, 5/8" Grosgrain, Sheer Red w/White Polka Dots, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!

Beate's Sketch and Featured Stamper

Happy Sunday!
The sun is trying to come out here and it's affecting my photo taking....lol
The colour is a little washed out on this first one. It's supposed to be Choc Chip.
I made this card using Beate's WSC42. I went with this bird again because I stamped and embossed two yesterday in case I cut one wrong. Since it was sitting on my table I based the card around it.
Stamps: Always
Cardstock: Choc Chip, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, Very Vanilla, Ginger Blossom DP
Inks: Versamark, Choc Chip Craft, Ruby Red
Accessories: Clear EP, Sponges, Marvy Punches, Paper Snips, HPH ribbon slider, Three for You Punch, Dimensionals, Choc Twill, Paper Piercer, CB embossing Folder
Today on SCS is the Featured Stamper. I think this is about three weeks in a row that I've been able to do this challenge. It's fun to see others gallery and stamping styles.
I CASED this card HERE.
The stamps, paper and embellishments were changed.

Stamps: Verve Visual Fancy Florals Remixed; Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink, WW and Piggy Tales DP; Inks: Celery, Sahara, Pretty in Pink; Accessories: Scallop Punch, 1 3/8"circle punch, Designer Label Punch, 5/8" celery ribbon, Dew Drops, Quickie Glue Pen, Ticket Punch, Coluzzle

Sketch Cards

Well I don't want to say Happy Saturday....I wish it were....but we woke up to a ton of snow...ugh! I knew there was a reason I didn't put the snow shovels away yet ;)
I will have a lot of free time today to work on some cards for blog sketches and challenges that have been posted the past couple of days. I don't think I will attempt to venture out on the roads.
This first card is for Jen's sketch on her blog i{heart}2stamp. I really like how this card came out...thanks Jen for a wonderful sketch!

Inks: VersaMark, Choc Chip Craft

Exciting News!

I've got some exciting news to share with you all!
Earlier this week I was asked to join
All That Scraps Design Team!
I was on cloud 9....as Lauren calls it ;)
I don't have the new stamps yet but they are on their way to me and I'm looking forward to creating with them!
Today is the release of the newest sets....
Be sure to hop on over to
and check them out....believe me....you won't be disappointed!

A Variety of Challenge Cards and a RAK!

Happy Friday!
It's been so nice not having to go anywhere this week. My stamping gets a much earlier start each day!
This first card is for the challenge today on SCS. It's the Limited Supplies Challenge. You were to use WHITE and ONE colour....not a neutral...so no black, brown, grays....
I went with Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.
Stamps: Wild About You, Riveting
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, WW and Berry Bliss DP
Inks: Pretty in Pink
Accessories: CB embossing folder, 1 1/8", 1 3/8" circle, Designer Label Punch, Pink Grosgrain, White Organdy Ribbon, White Brads, Slot Punch
This next card is for Sharon's challenge on her blog today which is Colour Blocking. Be sure to check it out! I used some scraps from the Creative License SSK.

Now this card is also for Sharon's challenge but it was inspired from the RAK I recieved from Nancy this week. I used the Papertrey Aqua Mist paper and their new Designer Papers as well. The sentiment is from Out on a Limb by Papertrey.

I'm such a bad blogger....sorry Nancy! Earlier this week I recieved this RAK in the mail and it's always a nice surprise to get a RAK! Think my neighbour was over when the mail arrived and I'm sure she could tell you how excited I was! Thanks Nancy! It's fabulous!!

Thanks for stopping by!

I've got to run out quickly but I'll try to come back with the card recipes later ;)

WT160 Rub Ons

Good Afternoon/Evening!
This morning SCS posted the Ways To Use it Challenge. Luckily it was something I had.... Rub Ons! I posted the scrappy page of Chloe on there this morning as I hadn't uploaded it yet. Then I saw that Nancy did a bucket! Now I don't have any cool coloured ones, just these white ones that Brian picked up for me last year in Louisiana. He always looks at Target for me when he is in the States....sweet eh?
My neighbour came by this afternoon and we each decorated a bucket. It's fun to work with someone!
Then I thought I'd just whip up a quick card with some scraps that were left on the table. The flower fusions weren't laying around though ;)
I added some liquid pearls to the centers of each.
Thanks for stopping by today!

SCS sketch card

Good Evening!
Today on SCS is the Sketch Challenge. I REALLY enjoy this challenge a lot. I decided to pull out another old retired set that hasn't seen ink in ages! Love Without End. I think I stamped the stem upside down...haha! Did you notice?
Stamps: Love Without End
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, WW and Uptown DP
Inks: Wasabi, Saffron, Amethyst
Accessories: 1/2"circle punch, dimensionals, Slit Punch, Double Stitched Grosgrain Wasabi
I love these Verve Visual Stamps! Such wonderful sayings in this Serenity set. I cuttlebugged the Saffron layer for some extra dimension. The flowers were stamped in Saffron and then sentiment in Artichoke over top. It's hard to tell in the picture but the ribbon is a darker Artichoke colour. For some reason it looks black in this pic. That little flower is from the bucket I bought at Michael's in the wedding department. Thanks to Lauren for the heads up on those ;)
I also used a Dew Drop from the Flame bottle for a little pop!

Stamps: Verve Visual Serenity; Cardstock: Artichoke, Saffron, WW; Inks: Saffron, Artichoke; Accessories: CB background, May Arts Ribbon, White Organdy Ribbon, paper flower, Dew Drop

Thanks for stopping by today!

ATTENTION Marisa: I just saw your comment about the flowers and Dew Drops in Canada....well I am in Canada too...I got the flowers at one of the stores here in Edmonton. As for the Dew Drops I bought mine from Peggy at PaperWorks Co. in Edmonton. You can buy them from her online or if you are close enough...just pick them up from her personally ;) Hope that helps you some!

A Scrappy Page and cards

Good Evening Everyone!
Wow....this day has flown by! It's nearly time to start dinner but I wanted to get my post up first. I'll be quick ;)
Most of you know that I am NOT a scrapbooker. I love to try but it's just not my thing. Last week I had visited Renée's blog and I knew I wanted to do something similar with these big clothespins I had on my shelf. So I pulled out the Summer Picnic DP and some Sale A Bration rub ons and got to work. This is a picture of Chloe from last summer but other than getting a wee bit taller I think she looks the same.
My neighbour came by today to work on some school volunteer stuff but we got it done lickety split! YAH! That meant we had plenty of time to play with some stamps.
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a different line of American Crafts DP with these colours. One of them is this butterfly paper. It's so bright and cheery too! I knew what stamp I wanted to use with it....Bold Butterfly! It's a retired SU! set from a couple of years ago but it's one I just can't part with.

Lastly we decided to make a CC Designs card with a stamp I hadn't used yet. He is so dog gone cute isn't he?! More American Crafts DP. I'm think I should buy stock in that company. The paper they have come out with lately is FABULOUS! This is a sketch from Julee's MOJO31.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Now I really need to start dinner...if you have any questions please just ask ;)
