Oh, hello - Freshly Made Sketch #94

Well week one of vacation is in the books. Onto week two now! Yeah!
I think I could REALLY get used to this stay at home mom thing again ;) haha!

I've made several cards these past few days with this primary colour scheme and you'll see them throughout the week :)

The Freshly Made Sketches had a GREAT CAS design last week and I knew it'd be perfect for this row of arrows I had stamped.

I used the sweet and fun set from Reverse Confetti called Arrows 'n Elements.
Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti Blog to see all the fun things Jen has going on!
Don't forget to link up your creations there too!!

Have Your Cake And Eat It Too

Happy Friday!

Whew! What a day at the golf tournament yesterday!
The weather was AMAZING! I got a little sunburned on my face....guess I should have kept that cowboy hat on they provided us ;) Stampede week here in Calgary means it's cowboy everything. It's likely the ONLY time jeans are allowed on a golf course....lol

Anyway, today I'm hoping to stay in and just relax. Maybe do a little stamping. Maybe get some more goodies together to sell on Kijiji. Sort of a mish mash day.

The card below was created on Wednesday using the SCS sketch #444 along with the colours from the Color Throwdown #250.

I used some super fun new stamps from Reverse Confetti too!
The arrows were stamped in versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP. I decided to add those cool circle dots and heat emboss those too with clear ep. Make them pop!
Stamps: Arrows 'n Elements, Celebrate Cake, Whole Lotta DotsPaper: Crumb cake, Melon mambo, So saffron, Bermuda bay, WhiteInk: Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, VersamarkAccessories: Clear ep, circle nesties, mat pack and paper piercer, dimensionals

Rainbows of Life - DS109

Happy Thursday!

Today I am off volunteering at our President's Choice Children's Charity golf event.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is nice. Not too hot and a slight breeze.

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
Rainbows are always a favourite of mine and when I saw the stripes across this sketch my mind immediately went in that direction :)
I stamped the dots from MFT in Versamark and heat embossed.
Sentiment is from their Great Outdoors set.
The flat bottom clouds were lightly sponged in Sno Cone ink from MFT as well.

Celebrate - Color Throwdown 250

Hello :)

I was really excited when the ladies at The Color Throwdown invited me to play along in the 5th year anniversary challenge! I really enjoyed being a Guest Designer last fall.

Wow! 5 years of colour challenges!
Check out these fun colours!

When I first saw them I thought of making a summery card too with the Celebrate Cake set from Reverse Confetti but quickly changed my mind and ended up using three new sets :)
The stars, guitar and wings were heat embossed with clear ep for a little pizzazz!
You'll want to hop on over to The Colour Throwdown blog to see who's playing along and what goodies might be up for grabs! I have a feeling they are awesome!

Here are the stamp sets I used on my card.

You're My Best Friend - MFT Sketch #130

Well I'm finally ON vacation....it's a Stay-cation this round.
Hoping to spend a LOT of time in my craft room.
First organizing and then getting inky!

The card above was created using the MFT sketch #130 from 2 weeks ago.
Sentiment is from Complimentary Greetings and the die is from Vertical Greetings II but cut down a bit to fit my card. A few other dienamics were used as well. Simply Scallops, Plentiful Petals and a Butterfly.

Countdown to Confetti - Blog Hop

To get things started, we invite YOU to hop along with the Confetti Crew and a few other talented stampers that are helping us show off some fabulous new stamp sets!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Amy's Blog.  It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing.  We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti’s 4 brand new stamp sets!

Today I have used two of the new sets.
Whole Lotta Dots and Celebrate Cake
I started by masking off a rectangle and then stamped the largest dots in Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist. The ice cream was stamped in Pink Pirouette and Kraft then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.
Pretty simple CAS card but I really like how it came out :)

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today.  Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration!  Now it’s time to hop on over to Heather's blog.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.  Celebrate the creative side of you!

Check out the full sets...fun, right?!

Feel Better Soon

Oh my gosh.
It's bloody hot here.
Over 40C with the humidex. So not cool.
At least for those of us tht don't have central air....lol
I don't want to complain too much because it's not -40 and blizzard like weather ;)
But it's definitely easier to warm up than it is to cool off!
Anyway you didn't come to hear about my complaints...ha!

This card below was created for the Dynamic Duos Challenge #59 and the Paper Players Challenge #152.
I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #186 for my layout.

Reverse Confetti - Sketch For You To Try #2

First of all, HAPPY CANADA DAY to all my fellow Canadian friends!!!
Hope you are able to celebrate with your family and friends today :)
We will be celebrating our 19th Wedding Anniversary today(a day early) as it's back to work tomorrow....lol

It's the first of the month and you know what that means ;)

You'll need to check the Reverse Confetti Blog for all the details and who is playing along with us this morning.
The sketch is open for 2 weeks from July 1st through the 14th.
With my card today I went CAS. Well sort of. It's clean and simple to me but there are several layers so it just depends on what you classify is CAS ;)
I LOVE colourful things! Whenever I see this sentiment from Dream In Color my mind jumps to bright and happy colours for sure!

Guess what? Sneak peeks will be starting VERY soon for the next release that happens on July 8th!
