ENJOY Beate's WSC37

Happy Friday!
Whew...this has been a busy day! I don't have much to share just now, sorry.
I was out and about doing some errands and still didn't get all done that I needed to. Oh well, luckily there is tomorrow....
This is the card I made earlier this morning for Beate's Weekend Sketch #37. I am just now getting online to post it.
I am LOVING this new Summer Picnic DP. It has those same bright colours of the American Crafts that I was stuck on for a bit.
This card uses some of the Love & Happiness Rub Ons from the Sale-A-Bration catty. I really like that they come in white, black, choc and old olive, all in one package.
Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Real Red, WW and Summer Picnic DP
Inks: Markers in the same colours
Accessories: 1/2" circle punch, Build A Brad, Pumpkin Striped Grosgrain, Dimensionals, Love & Happiness Rub Ons
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to get to the SCS challenge later on this evening, if time permits.

Always Tart & Tangy

I'm back! Wow what a busy day it has been cutting and mounting the stamps. I'm still not finished but my back is killing me. I guess if I sat at my work table I'd be okay, but no, I'm sitting on the floor so I can watch the soaps...lol
If you are one of the Wednesday night girls coming next week and don't want to see some cards we MAY make....STOP READING NOW ;)
This first card uses a couple of new sets. Tart & Tangy from the Occassions mini and Make It Count which is a hostess set. Isn't this new Summer Picnic DP yummy?!
I was actually short one sheet and called SU! this morning. They are sending me a new package first class mail....which I'm sure is slower than UPS...haha! Not that I am complaining! More paper...yah.
Stamp sets: Tart & Tangy, Make It Count
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, WW and Summer Picnic DP
Inks: Real Red, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Striped Red Grosgrain, 1 3/8"Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, Dimensionals
I LOVED this bird from the moment I saw her in the catty. Everyone has made such beautiful cards with her too! I kept this one fairly simple so we could show her off!
Now Groovy Guava wasn't a colour I fancied very much but it's grown on me(with certain colours and DP)
Stamp Set: Always
Cardstock: Choc Chip, Groovy Guava, WW and Ginger Blossom DP
Ink: Groovy Guava, Choc Chip
Accessories: 1 1/4", 1 3/8"Circle Punches, Wide Choc Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Coluzzle
Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to finish cutting and mounting the stamps. After that it will be a task to get it all down to the basement and organize ;)
Hope to see you tomorrow!

Some PRETTIE good loot!

Happy Thursday! It's definitely a GREAT day!! Look at all my goodies I finally received yesterday afternoon! I spent a good part of last night mounting stamps. Ok so I only did the die cut ones...haha! I was really good this morning. I cleaned the house all up and figured out what we will have tonight for dinner so I can STAMP STAMP STAMP!
I don't even know where to begin!
I know you are probably looking and saying, you've had many of these things for sometime but I had to wait until after our vacation to Florida to order.
I ordered a replacement ticket corner punch because for MONTHS it had been giving me sticking issues. Of course the past three days, it's worked fine....isn't that always the way?!
I received the newest Paper Pretties stamp set called Look Who's Perky this week as well!
There are many stamps and sentiments in this set so be sure to go on over and check them out ;)
I really liked the saying "Hey Sugar!"
Thought it was so sweet ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm hoping to have some new cards to show later today!

SCS Sketch card

Good Afternoon!
I only have one card for today.....
I'm waiting on the UPS dude to bring my huge order....47 things! Seventeen of which are STAMP SETS! YAH!!! So thought I'd work on one card with some oldies but goodies stamps.
This card is for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. For the fourth panel I chose to use a Heidi Swapp Ghost Flower. The sentiment is a little hard to read in this picture, sorry. It says,
You Inspire Me and it is from Verve Visual.
Stamps: Flower Jar by Cornish Heritage Farms, Verve Visual
Cardstock: Soft Sky, WC Paper, Scenic Route DP
Ink: Versafine Black, Soft Sky, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Going Gray
Accessories: Oval Punch, Ticket Punch, White Organdy Ribbon, Cloud Ribbon by Martha, Heidi Swapp Ghost Flower, Opal Jewel, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by! I hope tomorrow to have a bunch of new goodies to share with you all! Hurry up UPS!
ETA: My UPS dude was HERE....he brought me a couple GREAT presents too...lol
Off to do some mounting!

Holly's Sketch and SCS Colour Challenge Cards

We are having such nice weather here in Edmonton! Anything above freezing is always nice and considered a heat wave...especially in February...lol
This card I made today was for a sketch done by Holly aka Toy on SCS. You can find her fantastic blog HERE. This was for sketch #4. I changed it a little though. Guess what?! I used my Copic markers on it!!! Boy do they ever colour nice ;) Right now I only have 19 colours plus a blender but have 48 more coming!!!
Stamp: Stampendous
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava, WW, Imaginisce For Peep's Sake DP
Ink: Brilliance Black and Copic Markers
Accessories: Ticket Punch, Jewels, Wide Celery Grosgrain, Dimensionals
These next two cards were done for the Colour Challenge on SCS today. You were to use River Rock, Black and White. Sounded elegant to me. So I ATTEMPTED a couple of cards. I stepped out of my box. These are not my typical colours. I rarely use black on any card. I've had the same package of Basic Black for the past year and a half...haha!
Stamp Set: True Friend
Cardstock: River Rock, Basic Black, WW and Apple Cider DP
Ink: River Rock
Accessories: May Arts Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Coluzzle, Dimensionals

Stamp Set: Stem Silhouettes
Cardstock: River Rock, Basic Black, WW and Ginger Blossom DP
Ink: River Rock
Accessories: Ticket Punch, Large Oval, Designer Label Punch, Dimensionals, May Arts Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by today!

Try A New Technique Challenge Cards

YAH! I made it home in time to catch the last 20 laps of the Nascar race!
MUCH better finish for Jeff Gordon this week....3rd!
This morning I was able to make a couple of cards for todays Try a New Technique. Today you were to use two or more Designer Papers on your card.
Lucky for me I LOVE doing that...haha!
This first card is a 5.25 x 5.25. I stamped the images on Shimmery White Cardstock with Versafine Black. I then watercoloured with my aqua painter and re-inkers.
Since I still had a little time before going to the school to mark math and spelling tests I thought I would use up these little scraps. Fits into the challenge too! This card measures 4.25 x 4.25.
Thanks for stopping by today!

On another note...
Paper Pretties is having a BIG SALE....be sure to check it out! You never know what you may find ;)

Some MFT cards and a Beate Sketch

Happy Sunday!
Hope your weekend is going well! Is it just me or did this weekend fly by? I guess I got a lot done though so I should not complain. I'm sitting here waiting for the Nascar race to go green...darn rain delay!
Just a few cards I worked on all day. It's nice to have some quiet time to just stamp stamp stamp!
This first card is a combo of sketches that I had jotted down. It sort of happened by mistake really. I'd started with the boots and ended up cutting the cardstock the wrong size so I had to cover it up. This is a 4 x 8.5 card that will fit in a business envelope.
The picture is really crummy and I apologize. I stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock so I could watercolor the images from My Favorite Things. Also the puddle has some Crystal Effects added to it. Not sure what happened to the Bashful blue colour once I applied the CE...haha! It just disappeared.
As I was digging through all my scrap papers today I came across a few bits of this DP. I can't remember who makes it and to be honest I'm too tired to go back through my old posts to see. This MFT image is stamped on Shimmery White as well. I started to Watercolour on it but it was too light so afterwards I went back with my SU! markers and coloured it in.
My last card is another Beate's sketch I did. I just noticed I didn't post my other card on here. Guess I only loaded it to my SCS Gallery. Be sure to check out Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge on her blog HERE. I love doing them each Friday and I always so more than one if time allows.

Thanks for stopping by today!

It's almost time to go racin'!

Catching up on some challenges!

Happy Saturday everyone!
I've been smokin' busy this morning and early afternoon trying to catch up on some stamping!! I missed it so much.
I worked on quite a few things and will show you these ones for now anyway. There are many cards so I will keep it short....lol
I used some of my new stamps and some old ones. Thursday my SU! order is set to arrive!!! YAH! I can't wait....I'll be stocking the UPS dude.
These first two cards I made for Lauren's sketch on her blog HERE.
What a different look they both have eh? I really like how the first card turned out.

The next three cards are for Jen's sketch challenge on her blog HERE.
I used a different shape for each of my stamped images....hope that was okay ;)

This weeks Colour Challenge was Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery. Sort of an odd combination I thought...lol!! I combined it with the Sketch Challenge. The first card uses A Beautiful Thing stamp set. The second card is of Sophia from Paper Pretties.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you will come back soon!

Seize the Cupcake!

Oh it's good to be home! Well to all my stamps and paper anyway ;)
I haven't gotten my SU! order yet but hoping sometime next week. I placed a huge order(over $500) while I was on holidays...hehe! Can't wait to get all the new stuff!
I wanted to stamp this morning with one of my new stamps I bought while on vacation. This cupcake stamp is from Hero Arts. It's a nice set with a few different cupcakes and sentiments.
Whenever we go away we always have our mail held at the post office.
This way nobody has to worry about coming by each day to check the mailbox for us. It was a GREAT surprise when the mail person dropped all our mail off(bills and more bills) and I received a GREAT RAK package from DAWN GRIFFITH! Thanks so much Dawn for these cute little Valentine Sweets! YUM!
I'm really looking forward to catching up on some sketches and blog challenges while I was away. I'm sure I will have TONS of cards and projects to post this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope to see you again real soon!

Cool Sandcastle...not stamping related...sorry!

Isn't this the coolest sandcastle? I had to take a pic of it last week on Thursday. Wish I'd gone back to see it totally finished.
As far as I know this lady did it all by herself. I only ever saw her working on it....lol
Hope you all are having a nice week.
See you Thursday!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hey From FLORIDA!

Hey gang! Boy have I missed blogland!!! We just signed up for internet for 24 hours from the hotel....costs too much and I'm not here often enough to use it.

I got a TON of great things while on holidays! Went out to Mount Dora and a little stamp place called the Stamping Station. WOW! They have a LOT of great things in there. I scooped up tons of My Favorite Things Stamps AND some COPICS. Can't wait to give them a go when I get home!!!

The race yesterday was HOT...my goodness....but we had a BLAST! I was sad to see Jeff have a bummer time there 3/4 of the way through....I was SCREAMING at him....think the dude beside me was scared...haha!

Well I guess I will try and blog hop for a bit until Brian wants to use the laptop.

I want to say a special THANKS to my friend and neighbour LISA for posting to my blog each day!!!

See you soon!

Yummy Cupcakes Tuesday Feb 19th

Hello from sunny Florida! Today we are hoping to get some fun in the sun. Yesterday it rained off and on which was okay after the HOT day we had on Sunday at the race.
When I saw this pattern from American Crafts I thought it screamed cupcakes to me! I was thrilled when I went digging in my drawer and found this stamp!! Not sure of the make but I know I bought it in Anaheim last summer. I had stocked up on Cool Caribbean last year and it's nice to finally be using it again. With the new In Colours, I'd sort of forgotten about it :(

Only a couple days left here in Floriday :(

I know I am looking forward to getting home to stamp!
I bought MORE cupcake stamps at a LSS in New Smyrna Beach! Can't wait to use them! If only I had some good white paper I'd be stamping ;)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Making Monday Beautiful

When I first ordered this stamp set I thought I'd use it often. Sad to say I think it's seen ink only a couple of times :(

This card is a simple layout. I wantd to focus on the sentiment. I think it's so pretty!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Sunday Funny

YAH! It's RACE DAY!

I'll be at the Daytona 500....look for me on tv okay? rofl! Hope Jeff Gordon WINS!

My Little Funny Bunny!

He's so cute! This is another CC Design stamp. I added some Liquid Applique and glitter to his tail before heating to puff it up.

This card is a simple 4.25 x 4.25 square.
Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday's Cutie Pie

Have you gotten these CC Design stamps yet? They are so stinkin' cute!! I decided to leave the sentiment off of this one. It's one of those cards you can just drop in the mail "because". I love receiving cards "just because".

More American Crafts DP too!

Hope your week went well! Bet you are glad it's the weekend!

Friday's Embracing Life

I've been needing more simple cards that are quick to make and I figured this was a good start!

Mind you, I didn't have much time but I think it turned out okay. One little itty bit of stamping. The Ginger Blossom DP really makes this card!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Celebrate!

Celebrate! Yes that is what I am doing this morning! We are heading to the airport in a little bit....good bye cold and snow...hello fun and sun!
I'm uploading some cards on my blog so that there will be posts while I'm away.
Thanks Lisa for helping out ;)
This card is for Taylor's Cupcake Sketch that she posted on her blog HERE.

I got to use one of the goodies that Lauren had sent me....thanks for the prima/rhinestone flowers Lauren!!!

Be sure to check out this stamp set at Paper Pretties!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sketch Challenge Cards

I'm posting early today.
ONE more sleep! Yesterday Chloe got tired of waiting for me, so she went and dug out the suitcases....lol! Well guess what, this morning they are still empty! haha! So I thought I'd post my sketch challenge cards that I did yesterday and then get at it...ya right....
This first card I made for Jen's sketch on her blog HERE.
I had a small piece of this American Crafts DP laying on the table and thought I'd use it up. GinaK's Make A Wish stamp set went with it pretty well! I covered a chipboard star in Certainly Celery Craft and then used my White Gel pen to add some dots. I think the rest is pretty straight forward.
Stamp Set: Make A Wish
Cardstock: Real Red, Certainly Celery, WW, American Crafts DP(orange is back of pattern)
Inks: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Celery(craft)
Accessories: Chipboard Star, White Gel Pen, Word Window Punch, Heidi Swapp Jewels, Dimesionals, 2 way glue pen and glitter
Lauren's sketch can be found on her blog HERE. You can't tell by my picture but I used Shimmery White Cardstock. It's much prettier IRL. The DP is by SEI and the other side is even more gorgeous with large EMBOSSED butterflies. For this small piece of DP though, I didn't think it would show up as well. I'll use it again on a card real soon so you can see ;)

Stamp Set: Priceless
Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Choc Chip, Shimmery White, SEI dp
Inks: Blush Blossom, Choc Chip
Accessories: 2", 1 3/8"Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Choc Satin Ribbon, Photo Corner Punch, Heidi Swapp Jewels
Thanks for stopping by today!
We leave tomorrow for some fun in the sun! Florida...here we come!!
I don't think we will be taking our laptop but my sister or friend will post some cards for me on my blog.
I'll catch up on all your blogs when I return!!

Beate's Weekend Sketch

TWO more sleeps! Today I WILL start packing. As soon as I finish posting these cards I will head down to the basement and dig out my suitcases. Suppose I can't put this off any longer....
Ok onto my cards! I'll make this quick ;)
These birds are so adorable aren't they? I love these CC Design stamps! They have some new ones being released tonight at All That Scraps and I have got to order them. The Designer Paper is American Crafts....not SEI
This card uses Beate's sketch on her blog HERE.
I tried matching the cardstock with the DP, the best I could anyway. I used Old Olive, Soft Sky, Real Red, Regal Rose. Inks are Bashful Blue and Pixie Pink.
I'm hoping to get my suitcases...yes plural....haha....packed so that I still have time to STAMP and get posts ready for while I'm away.
Thanks for stopping by today!
ETA: Just realized the DP is by American Crafts....not SEI

You Float My Boat

OK I've just gotta say it.... THREE more sleeps!
I can't wait now....especially with the cold we are experiencing again...ugh!
Today the SCS is the Limited Supplies Challenge. You were to make a Non-Traditional Valentine.

No Heart stamps/cuttlebug/die cuts/rub ons, etc (any other CB shapes were fine)

Limited layers (try to keep it under 4)
embellishments are okay as long as they are not hearts/flowers or shades of red
I had made a card similar to this not too long ago...but used a red heart so it didn't qualify...lol Or I may have cheated and linked to it ;)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Today on SCS is the Ways to Use It Challenge. It's POLKA DOTS! Lucky for me I have tons of DP with polka dots on them....but I chose to use ANOTHER American Crafts DP....I'm loving this stuff! I even pulled out the retired Ruff Day set because of the dog's spots!

Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Barely Banana, Confetti White, American Crafts DP
Ink: Versafine Black, Caribbean, Banana, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom,Old Olive

Sketch and Colour Challenge Cards

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I suppose I should be getting stuff out of the closet and washed and start packing for holidays but I just can't get motivated yet. The weather is crummy here again today. It LOOKS nice out, blue skies, sun is shining....BUT it's wicked cold and windy....lol I can't think about shorts and sandals just yet.
So I decided to work on a few cards. The first couple are for todays Sketch Challenge on SCS. The last one is yesterday Colour Challenge(Ballet Blue, Apricot Appeal and Real Red). I struggled BIG time with those colours. I don't ever pull out Ballet Blue, rarely use Apricot and just recently started to use Real Red. I suppose that is why they call it a challenge...haha!

More American Crafts DP and MOJO Monday Sketch

Have you ever found something that you really LOVE and can't get enough of?
Well this American Crafts Designer Paper is that for me....right now anyway! LOL!
I love the bright boldness of it. Sure makes me think of Spring and Summer!!
I actually ran to a LSS to pick up MORE of it today. I'd hate to get back from holidays and it be GONE from there....oh I'd be bummed....haha!
This first card I made with Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #23. I tried to colour the bees the same sort of colour but nothing seemed quite bright enough. I think it looks okay though.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Stampendous Bee Trios, CC Designs Penguin(for the sentiment)
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Real Red, WW, American Crafts DP
Inks: Black Stazon, SU! Markers
Accessories: Aqua Painter, 2way glue pen and Glitter, Real Red Grosgrain, Slot Punch, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals
Like I have been doing, I used up some of the scraps to make another card. I couldn't decided on a sentiment for this card. Or rather, I couldn't decide what and where to put it. So for now it's naked...haha!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Boatloads of Love
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Real Red, WC Paper and American Crafts DP
Ink: Black Stazon, SU! Markers
Accessories: Paper Snips, Pop Dots, Aqua Painter, Real Red Grosgrain, Red Gingham, Ticket Punch, Making Memories Rhinestone Brads

Try a New Technique Challenge

Today's Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS was to make one of THESE Sweet Centerpieces by Martha....they took a bit of figuring out....but once I got it....easy! LOL! Remember we used to make these all the time as kids. I think it was more in Jr. High and they always said something about boys on the inside! haha!
Anyway, this first one was made with Cutie Pie DP and the A Little Birdie Told Me stamp set. I didn't have any treats for this one as I'd put all the Caramel Kisses in the second basket.
I know what you are thinking....the center flower piece is Choc Chip....lol....I know but I had it on my table since last week and Iwanted to use it....so I did.
The DP on this one is from Scenic Route and the stamp set is Simply Said. I stamped in Ruby Red and Choc Chip and used Very Vanilla and Ruby Red Cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'm off to work on some cards now!

Sketch Cards

Good Evening!
This is going to be a really quick post as the Superbowl is about to start! I think kickoff is in less than 10 minutes....lol
This first card was done for Jen's sketch on her blog HERE.
This card was done for Lauren's sketch on her blog HERE.
This card was made with left over scraps....haha! I got the ribbon idea from Heather on her blog HERE.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions, please ask!
I will try to answer them later.
