Reason for Season

Good Morning!
I'm sooooooooooooo ready to be making Christmas cards everyday! They are definitely my favourite ones to create! Lucky for me my Design Teams are all coming out with holiday images and I can play early!
This first card is made using a new set by Diane from All That Scraps called Reason for Season. There are some wonderful images and sentiments in this set which you will be able to purchase on Monday, October 5th at 10 pm Eastern. I kept the layout clean and simple so I could showcase this adorable image! I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers. The little star was cut out and popped up. I then added stickles to the heart and star.
Stamps: Reason for Season; Cardstock: White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, DSP; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Copics, Stickles, Brads, Paper piercer, Nestie, Dimensionals
Flaky Friends has to be an all time fave of mine from SU! It's a set that gets uses year after year and even though it's no longer available, I'll STILL be using it!
This card was made using the Colour Challenge(Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, Going Gray)on SCS and also for Mercy's Sketch #41.
I'm out of Going Gray cardstock so I had to settle on a Going Gray marker to colour with...lol
Stamps: Flaky Friends; Cardstock: White, Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, DSP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Sage Shadow Grograin, Sherbet Button, Thread, Spiral Punch, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals

Congrats....

On your retirement!
Today starts the sneak peeks for All That Scraps!
AmyR has done it again with some fabulous sentiments. This month she has about 18 Congrats Sentiments for you! I decided to pair them up with August's mid-month release Coffee Kiki La Rue. Isn't she cute too?! I thought if I was retiring I'd relax in my jammies and actually have time to enjoy that morning coffee!
All of the new stamps will be available on Monday, October 5th at 10 pm Eastern from All That Scraps.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to find some stamping time later this afternoon. Today I am volunteering at the school all day...first time this year!

Happy Monday!

Good Morning!
I had a GREAT day of stamping yesterday! I worked on many sneak peeks that I'll be showing you this week BUT I wanted to have some things to show you today....so here ya go!
My first one is of Miss Anya and uses Cindy's Farm Fresh Friday sketch from their blog here.
My next two cards use Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #37 from her blog here.
This first one uses an image from The Places You'll Go from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the image with Memento black onto kraft cardstock then coloured with Prisma pencils and Gamsol.
I'm trying to get ahead of the game this year and make at least two cards each week for Christmas. At least until I get in the swing of holiday card making...lol I pulled out my FAVE Penny Black snowman!! He's so cute!
My last card was for Jen's SFYTT on her blog here. Isn't Sugarplum Clown Trevor darling?! He is from All That Scraps.

Apple Emma and her Pillow Box Basket

I didn't have a whole lot of time again last night to craft. Mostly because I was exhausted and just wanted to soak my feet...lol
A couple of days ago there was a really cool tutorial for this Pillow Box Basket posted on SCS by Lynn Put and a video by Beate. Since I had another Apple Emma coloured I decided to make a little basket for her! These baskets are super quick and easy! I can see mass producing them for Halloween or Christmas treats!
Here is a close up of Apple Emma. You can find her by CC Designs at All That Scraps. Don't you want a Granny Smith apple now? YUM! My fave!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Ice Cream and Apples

Good Friday Morning~
I had a busy day yesterday but still managed to find a little crafting time :)
Since my time was limited I combined three things:
1. WT challenge-do something out of your style box(no dp and limited layers)
2. Fall To Layout 60
3. MFT challenge- using buttons
This is what I came with! I actually really like this clean and simple card!

...and it's all good!

Good Morning!
Just a quick post as it's hot in our house and I want to head back down to the basement....lol
After work yesterday I sat down and played along with the SCS Colour Challenge of Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Black. You all know that black is not a colour I use often so I opted to go with black brads and black ink for the sentiment. I got it in there, right ;)
This is a SU! only card. The ribbon is turned inside out as I don't like the polka dots...lol
The layout comes from Mercy's Sketch #40 on her blog.
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts; Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP; Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Black; Accessories: Copics, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals, Rich Razzleberry Ribbon

A little cutie pie!

Good Morning!
Quite a few months ago I went to the Edmonton Stamping Extravaganza and had shared some images with friends. This was one I stamped off from someone. I know it's a Greeting Farm stamp but I have no idea what her name is...lol
Doesn't really matter because she's cute no matter what :)
I made her with a friend in mind. Her hair and eye colour are brown and I added a little bit of blue eye shadow...hehe!

Happy Today, Happy Tomorrow, Happy Everything!

Good Morning!
It looks like it's going to be another BEAUTIFUL weather week here! The trees are changing colours, leaves are blowing and my yard clean up will need to be done soon. BUT it's NOT snowing right?! LOL!
Tonight is my LAST duty as the Parent Association President at Chloe's school. I'm stepping down this year but need to hold the first meeting and vote in a new executive. The past few years have been good but it's gotten to be too much for me. I'll enjoy going to meetings when I can because I want to know what's going on. Anyway....how about a card!
Heather was yesterday's FS on SCS and I chose to CASE her card here.
I changed the colours, designer paper and added a sentiment layer.
Stamps: Branch Out, Small Sayings; Cardstock; Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip, WW and DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive; Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Slot Punch, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals

It's also Celebrate MFT today!
If this is your first stop you may want to go back to the beginning and visit Joanne :)
My first card was made for a friend at work. Not sure if you know but I don't like chocolate so you'll notice that I made strawberry ice cream...lol

Places You'll Go TE Newsletter Project

Good Morning!
If you have arrived here from the Taylored Expressions newsletter for the first time...Welcome! I hope you all will like what I have to share with you today!
A couple of weeks ago I picked up this plain Kaiser box from a LSS and couldn't wait to do something with it. Normally by now I would have created something for Chloe's teacher but with going back to work I just haven't had the time that I'd like to do those sort of things.
Well it was time I MADE time! LOL!
All the paper and stamps I used are from the Taylored Expressions store.
The Places You'll Go Stamp set and Key Ingredients Kit are currently out of stock but should be back in shortly. Sorry!
Each year Chloe's school create a theme for the At Home Reading Program. There is a wonderful display made on one of the library walls. Well this year the theme is Islands! After 25 books are read they get to move themselves from one island to the next.
I decided to create bookmarks for the kids. I'm not sure how Chloe's teacher will give them out but I was thinking maybe as a reward of some kind.
What better set to use than The Places You'll Go!!
I used the Labels 4 nesties to cut the shapes and stamped the images on choice buttercream in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then coloured with copics. I REALLY wanted to pop the layer up but that wouldn't fit too well in a book...lol
After cutting, colouring and assembling the bookmarks I decided to add a jumbo eyelet to the top/end and tie a piece of ribbon.
Here is a shot of the box empty. I'm hoping once she gives out the bookmarks that she will find a good use for the box!
Remember that all the supplies(except the jumbo eyelets) are from The Places You'll Go KI kit. I've used this kit so many times already. It's AMAZING how far one of those kits go!!! You can't go wrong with any KI kit in my opinion. I love them!

LOOK what I got!

The UPS dude stopped by today to see me....lol and look what he brought me!!!
What a WONDERFUL surprise too!
My best friend, Karen in Calgary, sent me this super cool Copic Storage system!
She saw how pathetic my storage/organization was when she was here last month...lol
These 4 cubes each hold 36 markers. I was so excited that all my markers fit in!!!
Thanks Karen!!!
ETA:
I asked Karen when she got them and she said from the iCopic site and you can find them HERE.

Thanks for Your Support!

I decided since I didn't stamp last night after work that I still needed to show you something today ;) How about one of my Dirty Dozen cards from September 2008's Gallery?!
September 2008 was all about Colours of the Rainbow. Each of us on the DD split up and took one colour to concentrate on. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I took purple...ugh! LOL! It was MUCH harder than I thought.
Anyway, here is my card!
This was made using sets by AmyR from All That Scraps.
Stamps: Amy's Boutique, Boutique Sentiments
Paper: PTI White, Amethyst, Bravo Burgundy, Soft Sky, Amethyst(prism) and American Crafts DP
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Copics, Word Window Punch, Circle Punches, Dew Drops, Gems, Silver Elastic Cord, PTI Plum Pudding Ribbon, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! I'll definitely be stamping today!!! It's my day off!!

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Smooch

Good Morning!
I'm having a hard time typing up my post because I cut my finger at work yesterday:( Good thing I work in a pharmacy, eh? We got it all cleaned up and I'm good to go BUT it is hard to type with my finger all wrapped up...lol
Starting this month Taylored Expressions will be doing a Product Spotlight on the 16th of each month. The center of attention this time is Smooch!
I wanted to show you my card without the Taffy Smooch first.
Here I used the ballerina cuppie from the Halloween set called Trick or Sweet II. See how I used this set in a non-Halloween way? This card would be great for a little girl's birthday!
Ok now I want to show you my card after I've applied the super easy to use Smooch! Seriously, I've never used a product like this before and it was REALLY easy and it dried SUPER fast! That's a bonus for someone like me who doesn't like to spend hours on a card. I like to sit down and make a card in ONE sitting. I don't really like having to come back to finish something after it dries. Well with the Smooch stuff, you'll be good to go in no time!
The only thing I found with it was that the brush is a little stiff but then again if it was too soft, I'd have coloured outside the lines...lol
Here is a close up of the shimmer! Pretty cool!
Stamps: Trick or Sweet II; Cardstock: Regal Rose, Choc Chip, White and DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Taffy Smooch, Nesties, Curly label punch, White Brads, Dimensionals
Now for some GREAT news!
Each of the Center of Attention products will be on sale for a limited time following our product spotlight (September 16-17). This time Taylored Expressions be offering a 15% discount on the I Want It All New Smooch.
I can't wait to get home from work tonight so I can see what the other girl's have come up with this month!

ahhhhhhhhh summer!

We are having a late summer heat this week and I'm loving all the sunshine and blue skies! I'm not ready for winter just yet. I know some people have had enough of the summer heat but those are probably the same people that don't have -40 temps and winters that last sometimes 7 months...LOL!
I really wanted to make a cheerful summery card using the Mojo 104 sketch.
After diggin' through my drawers I found this fun Imaginisce dp. I stamped the butterfly in real red and that was it. Quick and simple!
Stamps: Fluttering By; Cardstock: White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Imaginsce dp; Inks: Real Red; Accessories: Circle nesties, White brads, Dimensionals

What's Brewing?

Good Evening!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend!
Sorry no post this morning but last night I was BEAT and just laid on the couch and did NOTHING ;)
This afternoon I sat downstairs where it's cool(we are having a late summer heat wave) and stamped a bunch of cards. I love doing things "just because".
There is a new challenge blog out there called Crazy 4 Challenges and I know some really fabulous people on it!! This is their second challenge. Sadly, I ran out of time to play last week.
Check them out!
I've used some fun new American Crafts Halloween dp along with the new Taylored Expressions set called Spooky Expressions.
LOOK what came in the mail for me yesterday!!!
A card from my buddy, Denise!
It couldn't have come at a better time. I've had a rough week and it was a nice pick me up!
Thanks Denise for making my day!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Picnic

Happy Friday and the weekend! YEAH!
Yesterday I had the day off but went into work for a bit to help the girls out. Luckily I didn't have to spend ALL day there! There was still plenty of time for stamping!
I'll share two of the cards I made.
They both were made for the Ways To Use It Challenge #235 which was to use RED!
My first card uses the sketch challenge from earlier this week and more Summer Picnic DSP!
Here I stamped the cherry bowl from the Taylored Expressions set called Berries & Cherries in Memento black ink and coloured with Copic markers.
My second card was made using the MFT Sketch Challenge #98 on SCS. I pulled out a fave set of mine from MFT called Rain or Shine and stamped the girl in Memento ink then coloured with Copics.
On another note...anyone else have their counter reset??? I was at almost 700,000 hits and yesterday I was back to ZERO...lol
Thanks for stopping by today!
