It Started With a Kiss....

And ended like this!

LOL this sentiment from Baby Bump just cracks me up!

I was so excited when a friend recently told me she was expecting!!! It's still a secret for now and I feel so lucky that she trusted me with it :)

I thought this card might make her laugh too!

Here is an inside shot as well.

The Future

Tomorrow marks the last day in my current position at work. I have mixed feelings about leaving but I'm moving onto another job within the company next week(still have that interview on Wednesday for another position too).

I really wanted to make something quick for my staff to show them that I appreciate all the support and hard work they have given me over the past year.

These are just little notepads that I covered and added a couple of embellishments. I really ♥ this sentiment from the Verve set called Floral Whimsy.

Pattern paper all comes from the Cosmo Cricket DeLovely 6 x 6 pad.

Thanks for stopping by today!

You Are Stronger Than This

I was drawn to the red/yellow/black colour combo again last night. I love these colours together and the funny thing is that those are probably the three colours I used to use the least....ha!

As I was cruising my SU! shelf I came across this set called Hard To Say and only ONE of the stamps was mounted. I ended up mounting this sentiment and using it. The others are still sitting there waiting to be put together ;) Another day, right?

This sketch comes from Mercy's MTSC84.

Stamps: Hard to Say; Cardstock: Kraft, Black, Real Red, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Rhinestone Flourish, Dimensionals

Today starts the My Time Made Easy Sneak Peeks!! Start by hopping on over to Lauren's blog!

We are finally experiencing some nice summer weather where I live and these ice cream cones from Here's The Scoop were calling my name! YUMMY!

I hope that you will play along with the girls and I this week! Pop by and see what they have created too :)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day!

As Soon As I Finish This Chapter

Gosh I hear that phrase EVERY night when it's time for Chloe to go to bed....lol

Today is her 11th birthday and I've put one of these bookmarks into a book along with a Chapters Gift Card.

The funny thing is that she helped design these by choosing the papers ;)

Just another quick and easy project that used up scraps.

I attached the paper to the bookmark and then trimmed it from the other side.

The flower was created with the PTI flower die. LOVE that die!

I have today off work to spend it with Chloe for her birthday! Here's hoping for some fabulous weather!

PTI Bookmarks

Yesterday afternoon while cooling off in the basement I decided to play with my newest PTI stamps and dies.

This first one I made using the All Booked Up stamp set. I made this one for the young man next door. He really likes to read.

Stamps: All Booked Up; Cardstock: Kraft, Prism, Vanilla; Inks: Black; Accessories: Circle Nesties, Corner Rounder Punch, Ribbon, Bookmark Die, Dimensionals
My next bookmark was made for my neighbour. She sits for hours on her back deck reading. Hope she likes it!

Stamps: All Booked Up; Cardstock: Kraft, Vanilla, DP; Inks: Buckaroo Blue, Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Die, nesties, Ribbon, Button, Thread, Dimensionals
The last two bookmarks were made by Chloe for her two friends next door! Both girls love to read and she made them with what colours they like. She's already given them out and the girls loved them!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Monday!

Be Merry DTGD Card

Here is another card I made using the MME Be Merry paper pack. I didn't want to put them away just yet ;)

This card was made for three DTGD challenges from Cindy, Bev and Amber.

I don't know why I held off using the die cuts for so long! They help make a simple and quick card!

I'm off to the baby shower today but I'll be home with plenty of stamping time left in my day!

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

For The Mom To Be

Sunday afternoon several of my co-workers and I are putting on a baby shower for one of the girls at work. It looks to be a very good time!

Since I make cards we could NOT buy one right? With a dozen and a half people needing to sign the card I made this one a little larger at 6 x 6. I knew the inside still would not be big enough so I added a piece of cardstock that measured 5. 5 by 11, scored it in half and then scored 1/2" on either side of the center score. That is where I taped it down to the inside of the card. Now there are flaps that people can write on ;) I hope I made sense....lol

This is an old image from H&M stamps and the sentiment comes from MFT Baby Bump.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Snowmen in July DTGD

Ok so how many of you purchase those 12 x 12 designer packs with the cut outs at the back and never use them? Come on, I can't be the only one ;) LOL!

Well when I saw a couple of the DTGD challenges on SCS yesterday I knew I should use them. After all this Be Merry DP from My Mind's Eye is a couple holiday seasons old.

This card was super quick to make and combined THREE challenges! I used challenges from Cindy, Julie and Bev.

Cardstock: Kraft, Dark Blush Red Prism, MME Be Merry DP; Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Vanilla Brads, Red Satin Ribbon, Nesties, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!
P.S. I almost forgot to mention that I got a call for a SECOND interview! That is scheduled for August 4th(person hiring is on holidays next week)! Can't wait!

One Person DTGD Card

Earlier this week I was able to play along with a few more DTGD challenges on SCS.

I combined two challenges for this card. One from Sharon and one from Leigh.

It's been awhile since I used the October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP and I figured it was time to pull it out again.

The sentiments both come from the Verve set called One Person.

Stamps: One Person; Cardstock: Kraft, So Saffron, Vanilla, OA Fly a Kite DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Nesties, Buttons, Thread, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

It's a banner day!

Happy MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge Day!

Wow that was a mouthful, eh?!

This week it's all about banners. Earlier this month MFT released some cool new dies and stamps. One of which was a banner die that has layers. SO cool!

Being in Canada my packages take longer to get to me so my order has yet to arrive. Bummer eh?

Not a big deal though! You can create your own banner as I have! A couple snips off a rectangle and viola! You have a pennant shape!

For my card today I combined a couple of the DTGD challenges again!

Birthday Princess
from the Pure Innocence line was perfect to make a banner for. The word wish was done with some JustRite stamps and punched out with the 1/4" circle punch.

Stamps: PI Birthday Princess, JR; Cardstock: White, Dark Baby Pink Prism, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Yellow Stickles, Mini Rhinestones, Thread, Nestie, Dimensionals, White Candy Dots, 1/4" Circle Punch

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with us. The keyword for uploading to the SCS gallery is MFTWSC07212010. You will find all the details in the MFT Forum on SCS.

Stop by my challenge teammates blogs to see what fabulous eye candy they have to share as well!

Apple For You DTGD Card

I'm back today with another DTGD card! This one combines THREE challenges ;)

You can find the DTGD challenges HERE. You must be a Fan Club Member to view the challenges each day.

I have a few scraps of the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP to use up and this card was perfect for those!

The image is a Pure Innocence Girl called An Apple For You that I got at MFT. She's so sweet!

Thanks for stopping by today! Come back late tonight or early tomorrow for the MFT Wednesday Challenge! Hope you'll play along!

On another personal note....
Today I have an interview for a job within the company I currently work for but it's a bigger and better job with more responsibilities. I'm up for the challenge! Keep your fingers crossed for me! Thanks!

Dare To Get Dirty - Sample Time!

Hey everyone!
I was so excited when my stamping buddy, Denise aka Peanutbee, asked if I would make a sample for her DTGD challenge!

You KNOW I couldn't say no to her ;)

I can't share many details here but I do hope you'll play along with her challenge! You can find all the DTGD threads HERE. Remember you must be a Fan Club member on SCS to view these. If you aren't a member, what are you waiting for? This is a celebration for all you fan clubbers out there :)

A few details on my card:
  • My Umbrella PI girl
  • Ruffled Gingham Ribbon
  • Crystal Effects on the umbrella and rain boots
  • Buttons, Thread and Nesties.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a GREAT start to your week!

Dare To Get Dirty Time!

Are you a fan club member on Splitcoaststampers? If you've been thinking about joining now would be the perfect time ;)

It's time for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges!

Each year the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen Alumni come up with some FABULOUS challenges! There is something for everyone!!

This card I made here is for Kim's sketch challenge that you can find here. You will only be able to see the challenges if you are a club member though. Sorry :(

There isn't much stamping on this card. I really wanted to use up some scraps of the October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP 8 x 8 pad I had sitting on my table.

I used the PTI flower die and a sentiment from Blooming Button Bits.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you can join in on the fun! I'm off to see what challenge I can do next!

Wishing You

A couple of co-workers took Chloe to see Toy Story 3 about two weeks ago and I've been trying to re-pay them ever since ;)

So when one of them noticed my notebook in my desk the other day I thought it would be the perfect thank you gift! I made it similar to mine here but with some small changes.

I used some pretty October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP along with the PTI set Blooming Button Bits. The clouds were cut out with the PTI Cloud Dies and sponged with ink. I cut the grass with a MFT Die-namics. Some buttons, rhinestones and ribbon were added to finish it off.

Since there were still scraps sitting on my table I decided to make her a little corner bookmark to go with it!

There is a fabulous tutorial on SCS in the resource section.

This time I also used the flowers from Beautiful Blooms II for the flower tops! Some buttons, ribbon and sponging were done as well.

Super simple and I hope she likes this as well!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!

Thanks So Much

I really do owe a lot to Stampin' Up! for getting me hooked on stamping!

It was about 5 years ago that I signed up as a demo and made so many wonderful friends through this hobby. I'd still be a demo right now if it wasn't for the changes they made last fall :( I just love too many other stamps out there to be committed to just one company ;)

I don't often make SU! only cards but for some reason when I play the SCS sketch challenges I'm drawn to use my oldies! This is from SC289.

I can't recall the name of this designer paper(sorry, I'm too lazy to head back downstairs to look) but it has animals on the other side...ha! Trendy Trees was a go to set for me for a long time. I think I made a gazillion masculine birthday cards with it.

I needed to build up my thank you cards and this was a good start. I figure it's suitable for male or females. Don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are having an enjoyable week so far!

Chillin' with MFT

Hey gang!

It's time for another MFT Wednesday Challenge! This week we are celebrating Christmas in July. For me, it's never too early to make holiday cards as they are my favourite to create!

I collect snowman and since I began stamping 6 years ago, I now collect snowman images too! This Baby It's Cold Outside set was one of my first MFT sets. It's an oldie but a goodie, eh?!

I decided to pull out some more of my favourites too! The Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly dp, white felt, Die-namics scallop, buttons and glitter are all so FUN!

My layout comes from Jen's SFYTT.

Now I KNOW my MFT Challenge Teammates will have some awesome goodness to share with you so be sure to check them out!
We hope that you'll stop by the MFT Forum to read up all the details and load your card on SCS using the keyword MFTWSC07142010. I look forward to seeing your creations as well!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Fun in the Sun

This is my card from LAST week's Mojo sketch. I had almost forgot to post it! Ack!

It had been rainy and blah here the previous weekend and I was in the mood to make a colourful card!

The DeLovely DP was the perfect pick me up!

I ♥ this Verve set called Relax! Isn't it fun?!

This time I made sand using some kraft cardstock that was sponged with creamy caramel ink.

I will be back tomorrow with my MFT Wednesday Challenge card! I hope you'll come back to see and play along too!

Have a GREAT Tuesday!

It's the Little Things

Good Monday Morning!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! The first part wasn't so great as this cold had me down and out most of Saturday. Luckily all that rest seemed to have helped and Sunday we went to see Despicable Me. Fun times!

After getting back I needed to stamp! Not because I had to but because I wanted to! I was going through withdraws ;)

The SCS featured stamper was Stephanie and I loved her card here. I decided to go with the same theme and layout but changed the stamps and papers.

I've been using a lot of cork lately and thought it worked well for the sand. What do you think?

Digging through my seasonal paper drawer I found more of this Love Me Do dp by My Mind's Eye from Valentine's Day. So happy! The stamp set is from Verve and is called Relax. Such a wonderful set!

Hope you have a fantastic week!

Hello friends

Happy Saturday Evening!
I haven't stamped in a few days because this cold is kicking my butt! Summer colds really do bite....grrrrrrr!
Yesterday I received a package of boosters in the mail that I had ordered from Jody along with some fab goodies that I won on her blog. Look at this super duper cute card she included inside for me! Sweet, eh?
As I said, I haven't stamped in a few days but have another notebook to share with you. I've had a few people ask me where I got the books from. Well they were bought at a local grocery store here in Canada. They are a fabulous! The covers are made of a thin MDF wood, so nice and sturdy. I do have a few more in my stash so maybe I'll do a little blog candy when I'm feeling a little better ;)
This book uses the adorable PI girl called Make Mine a Double.
Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to take some more sinus medication and watch the Nascar race. Go Gordon!

One Person Notebook

After taking my notebook to work the other day, I had many people asking if I could make one for them too. Since I don't mass produce and like everyone to have a unique gift, I made this one for one of my friends.
I used the SCS sketch for my layout.
Stamps are from a Verve set called One Person and the flower was created with the PTI Flower Die. LOVE that die!
Stamps: One Person; Cardstock: So Saffron, Cream, Aqua Mist, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black, So Saffron; Accessories: Sponges, Nesties, PTI flower die, Prima, Ribbon, Dimensionals
It's Friday! I'm looking forward to another fabulous weather weekend!

My Time Made Easy - To Love

Hello!
Last weekend I found clear cardstock on my shelf and it was like Christmas! LOL! Cleaning does have it's perks ;)
All of the newest releases are now available from My Time Made Easy.
Since my package still hasn't arrived(darn mail service) I made another digi card.
This time I opened up the Tending the Garden digi set in my paint program then resized and coloured(I added the blue and yellow borders) with the program. The dragon fly image comes from an older MTME set called Sensational Stems.
I really love the simple and clean lines of this card. The only downside is fingerprints....lol

Tomorrow is a New Day

Yesterday while on a conference call at home my doorbell rang and to my delight my PTI order arrived! Yippee!
I've been wanting to order this Blooming Button Bits for a bit now but each time I placed an order they were on out of stock. These images are so sweet!
I've stamped the stems in Old Olive and the sentiment in Real Red. Buttons and thread are from PTI as well.
Stamps: Blooming Buttons Bits; Cardstock: Kraft, Black, Cream, OA Thrift Shop DP; Inks: Old Olive, Real Red; Accessories: Buttons, Thread, Twill, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Hip to be Square Corner Bookmark

Before heading to work on Sunday afternoon I whipped up this quick corner bookmark following Beate's tutorial on SCS in the resource section. These would be easy to mass produce and take very little cardstock to make. Love that!
Here I used the ubber cute Pure Innocence It's Hip to be Square along with some wonderful October Afternoon DP.
Stamps: Hip to be Square; Cardstock: Kraft, Real Red, White and October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Ribbon, Brads, SU! Edge Punch, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great start to your week!

So Grateful

I feel so lucky to have a wonderful hobby and have been blessed to work for so many wonderful stamping companies. I'm grateful to everyone who had faith in my abilities and who watched and supported me as I grew and continue to grow as a stamper.
This card is for all of you who follow and support me. I truly appreciate your comments each day!
I've been feeling under the weather the past two days but I haven't been down and out bad enough to NOT stamp ;)
Earlier in the week I received my June Kit of the Month from Unity. I signed up last month and what a treat this is going to be getting a sheet of rubber each month! Fun stuff!
I made a pretty quick and simple card using one of the images from the KOTM.
Stamps: Unity June KOTM; Cardstock: White, Prism, DeLovely DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Button, Thread, Cork, Die-namics Scallop Die, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, Dimensionals, Rhinestones
Thanks for stopping by! I want to wish all my American friends a fabulous 4th of July!
ETA: Yes girls I did cut my hair! A couple of weeks ago I took off 5 or 6 inches :)

To The World SFYTT

This afternoon I noticed that Jen had her sneak peek of the SFYTT posted on Facebook and I HAD to play! I used a new Verve set that I received this week in the mail. It's called One Person. Sorry for the quick post but I'm starting to get sick and I need to take something and hit the hay early!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday Kim!
I was lucky enough to meet Kim at CHA in Anaheim this past winter and I can tell you that she's as sweet as can be! So super friendly and full of energy!
