Teachers Pet

I had another GREAT weekend of stamping!
I did not leave the house the entire time. Home at 5:00pm Friday and stayed put!
It snowed and snowed and snowed....blech!
Yesterday afternoon I had a chance to create several cards. Many of them you will see this week ;)

Chloe can give this to her teacher someday soon.
I've used the MFT set called Teachers Pet.

Let's Get Physical SSSC102

I received another MFT order this week! Yippee!
The first time I saw this Let's Get Physical Set from MFT I knew I needed it!
I'm not a runner, I don't exercise on a regular basis and really have no motivation to do so....lol
BUT this set was screaming for me to buy it...haha!
Karen had a little sneak peek of the Sweet Sunday Sketch #102 on Facebook yesterday afternoon and thought it would work out perfectly with this set.
Stamps: Let's Get Physical; Cardstock: White, Bermuda Bay, Aqua Mist, DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, MFT Flower Trio Dies, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Dreaming of Spring

The Sweet Stop sketch is up! Yeah~
Check this one out!
Make sure you stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see what the other girls have created. We hope you'll play along!
My card was created with spring in mind.
This past week the weather was BEAUTIFUL! The temps were about 10C or 50F and the snow was melting~
BUT....
All good things come to an end :(
Now we are in for some snow all weekend....boohoo
I used one of my fave SU! sets called Branch Out.
The cloud was created with a piece of white felt and the PTI Cloud Die. Pretty easy!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Embrace Life

It's FRIDAY!
Embrace the weekend!
I'm a little behind on this week's Mojo sketch but better late than never, right? ;)
The stamp set is called Dream Big from Verve. I stamped and cut the flower out three times and popped the layers up.
In the photo the red ribbon is really red and the vanilla looks white. I suppose I should have sponged that vanilla layer....oops!
I have a relaxing weekend planned. The weather has been beautiful the entire week with double digit temps! It's going to snow a bit this weekend which means a LOT of stamping time ;0)
Thank you for stopping by today!
Enjoy your day!

My Favourite Things Sketch #4

Hello!
Are you as excited as I am to get to the MFT sketch?!
I won't keep you in suspense ;)
Here's this weeks sketch....
I couldn't decide what I wanted to do so I made two cards in the end.
My first one uses some fun October Afternoon designer paper that I thought went well with the cute a la mode What's Cooking?
My next one makes me dream of Spring! It's not that far off, is it? LOL!
I stamped the PI Flower Girl in Memento ink and coloured with Copics.
We hope you will play along with us. Remember there is a chance to win a gift certificate to the MFT store with each entry! When uploading to SCS use key word MFTWSC4 so we can find your beautiful creations!
Thanks for stopping by!

Pick Me Up

Good Morning!
This is going to be a FABULOUS weather week for us!
I'm loving the Chinook winds that blow in.
Above freezing temperatures at this time of year is awesome!
Melt snow melt!
On Sunday afternoon I put together this card for two challenges.
Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #101 and for Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday #7
It's been a long time since I last used this stamp set called Loads Of Love from SU!
I coloured the truck with Copics and found some fun retired SU! designer paper to go with it.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Sunshine and Ice Cream....nothing better

Happy Monday!
Did you have a wonderful weekend?
We sure did! The weather was fabulous!
The snow is melting!!!
It was a busy weekend but I managed to make about 8 or 9 cards! Very productive :)
Not sure if you remember this card here or not but I've wanted to make another one for a long time and add a few more details.
This time I added a sun and some grass. I tried to run the grass along the top of the hill but couldn't get it to work :(
LOL but I still like it.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy the start of the week!

The weather is turning around for us and we are going to be well above the freezing mark by the end of the week! Yeah!
Karen is spending the week with us and last night while she was doing my dishes....lol....I stamped! :)
The Mojo174 looked to be a simple sketch that I could tackle in about 15 minutes.
I found these scraps of My Mind's Eye in one of the drawers. Do you think the flowers made with the MFT Flower Trio Die look okay with this paper? Maybe I should have gone with a colour instead of vanilla?
Stamps: Beautiful Kindness; Cardstock: Kraft, Bermuda Bay, Vanilla, MME dp; Inks: Black; Accessories: Nesties, MFT Flower Trio Die, Pumpkin Grosgrain, 1/4" Circle Punch, Dimensionals
Here is a card that Karen created with an older Mojo sketch from 2009. She used the PTI set All Booked Up.
She placed a few stamping orders last week so I hope I can get her into stamping with me more often!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a FANTASTIC Tuesday!

Here is another card I made using a Viva La Verve sketch by Tosh.

Happy weekend folks!
The past week has felt sooooo long! Not sure why but I'm lovin' that I have two days off!
It's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge!!
Here is this week's sketch:
Here is my card.
I used a fun MFT set called Who's That E-Girl.
I haven't used my embossing folders much lately and had to search for one....lol
I paper pieced the couch and drew in the hardwood floor. I think it turned out okay. The heart was made with the SU! heart punch and the flower strip(that is mostly covered) was made with the Die-namics Flower Border.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your weekend!!!

Sunshine

Happy Friday!
This was a super quick card that I put together using up the scraps from my last card. This sentiment comes from the Verve set Feel the Sun. The sun was created with the MFT Sunshine Die and a little cork...fun eh?
I'm in the middle of helping Chloe with her math homework so this is short.
Hope you have a GREAT weekend!

I Love You Today and Always

Good Morning!
Last night after dinner and before settling in to watch tv and read, I decided to come down and stamp!
Julee had a fabulous sketch posted on the Mojo Monday Blog.
Not much stamping involved with this one but I really like how it turned out.
Is that bad to say when you like something you made?
The sentiment comes from the Verve set One Person. The papers are from Bo Bunny and the brads are some from my stash that I got last year....I think?!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Princess!

This card was a combined effort by Karen and myself.
She chose the papers and I coloured and put it together....good team work! It's going to my boss/her old boss for her birthday. She always calls us princesses so we thought this sentiment and image fit her well! LOL!
Some small details....
Rhinestones were added to the crown and shoe buckles, stickles to the flames and some espresso dimensional pearls to the icing.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT Monday!

Crafting with my best friend!

Yesterday afternoon a winter storm marched it's way into Calgary and that meant one thing...
A day of stamping!!!
What could be better right?
How about stamping with your best friend?!
Karen usually just watches me stamp when she's over but yesterday I convinced her to sit down and create with me! She truly is the bestest friend. She's so supportive and has a big heart.
Just the other day she gave me about 130 copic markers because she said she would never use them. She wanted them to have a good home! Well I was tickled pink to say the least!!!
Anyway, you came to see something right?
Well first up is the notebook that Karen created using some October Afternoon Designer Papers and a PTI set called All Booked Up.
I think she did a FABULOUS job! Don't you agree?! Hope I can get her to stamp with me more often!!!
Here is a notebook I created for my briefcase. I've used some October Afternoon Designer Paper along with the PI girl It's Hip To Be Square. Love this sweet girl!
Thanks for stopping by today! It's supposed to be nasty again today so it'll be ANOTHER day of stamping! FUN Times eh?!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

You are such a JOY to Me!

Good Thursday Morning!
How is your week going? It's a short work week and it's feeling extra long!!! LOL!
Monday I created another card using Jen's SFYTT and some new Bo Bunny paper that I picked up at a LSS.
My Verve order still hasn't arrived. I'm beginning to think that Canada Post forgot that I moved....ha!
So I pulled out an older Verve set called Kind Words.

I Simply Adore You MFTWSC1

It's time for a new year of MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges!

MFT is super excited to announce that Wednesday Stamp Club will now be centered around a weekly sketch. We know your stamping time is precious, and we want you to maintain as much creative freedom as possible. Sketches are the perfect starting point to a card. Use it as a blueprint, and create a card using the stamp set and supplies that strike your fancy. You can turn to the sketches time and again for creative inspiration.
A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
Here is my card that I created using this fabulous sketch above. You'll notice that I turned the image panel horizontal to fit better ;) When I saw the sketch with the pieces at the bottom I immediately thought of a rainbow! Isn't it fun when something pops into your head and you just run with it?
I used the super duper cute PI girl Being Cute Is What I Do.
The big blue scallops were made with the Die-namics Jumbo Scallop.
The horizontal stripped layer was made using the Die-namics Textile Rectangle without the stamp ;)
Add Image

Just Because Mojo172

Well it's back to work today....blech!
I really enjoyed my four days off in a row. It was like a mini vacation!
Yesterday afternoon I went stamping for a bit and created this simple card using the Mojo172 sketch.
I had hoped that my new Verve stuff would have arrived but the postal peeps had yesterday off. So I pulled out some older Verve stamps for this card.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a GREAT week! Hey....it's only FOUR days for me!

Inspired By - SU! only card

Good Morning!
Early yesterday morning before we left for Banff I had a little time to stamp. Marisa was the featured stamper. She's always so sweet to leave encouraging comments on others that I knew I had to do a case of one of her cards :)
The SCS galleries are down as I type this up so I can't link to her card there but you can see it here.
This is another Stampin' Up! only card.
Stamps: Inspired by Nature; Cardstock: Vanilla, Real Red, Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss; Inks: Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: SU edge punch, Button, Linen Thread, Kiwi Ribbon, SU Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals
Today is my last day off before going back to work. I have to drop Brian's truck off to get the car starter/alarm installed that he got for Christmas. I'll hit a couple of scrapbooking stores and then home to stamp until the truck is ready.
Enjoy your day!

Some Bunny's Been Naughty ;)

LOL well not really....but this is one of the cute sentiments that comes with this TCP stamp set.

Today we are secretly heading to Banff!!! Chloe's been asking when we can go and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. Hopefully we'll get some great pictures of the snow covered mountains. I'll post them later today!

My card below was created with Jen's first SFYTT of the year.
Have you seen what she's got up her sleeve this year? If not, stop by her blog and check it out!
I KNOW I've been using an awful lot of this designer paper but I'm trying to finish up the 6 x 6 paper pad before it gets pushed aside and forgotten :(
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Happy New Year and an Announcement

First of all...
Happy New Year to everyone!
I trust that you had a safe and happy New Year's Eve?
Best wishes to you for a happy and healthy 2011!
2010 was a FANTASTIC year for my family and we look forward to everything 2011 has to offer!
Secondly....
I have some exciting news!
I've been invited to join the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Sketch Challenge Blog!
Every Saturday there will be a new sketch posted on the blog and I do hope you'll play along! Click the link above to take you there and find out all the deets!

My card below uses this week's sketch SSS89. I changed mine into a square to suit the adorable Eskimo Kisses digi image that I downloaded and resized to my liking.
The My Mind's Eye True Blue paper was sitting on my sewing machine and I thought it would be FUN to use something different to accompany this sweet image.
I think it works! What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy New Year!
