I can't believe it's the last day of August already.
Where did our summer go? Tomorrow Chloe starts 7th grade which means early to bed tonight! LOL!

This was another card I created on Sunday....just because....
No sketch, no colour challenge....no nothing....
This is another new PI girl I received from MFT.

I See...

Hello!
Sunday afternoon instead of doing all those "things" that I should have been doing, I was stamping ;)

Shortly before leaving for vacation I received several different packages in the mail.
One of them had this pretty designer paper and another had this adorable new MFT a la mode I Spy.
Isn't she CUTE?
As I said last week, just because I'm no longer on the MFT design team doesn't mean I don't love the stamps and sketches :)
Last Wednesday they had a fabulous one that would be perfect for the new a la mode!!
I stamped and coloured her with copics and added a bit of glossy accents to the magnifying glass.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Dream Big!

Well it's back to work today!

As much as I love my job, I really wish my vacation was a little longer. I will have to wait until November for my next vacation. Here's hoping the next two months fly by! LOL!

I created the card below using a Verve set called Dream Big.
The layout comes from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #132.

I stamped the largest flower from the set with So Saffron and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz.
The designer paper comes from a My Mind's Eye Lost & Found called Rosy.
A button, twine and ribbon finish the card off.

Stamps: Dream Big; Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Vanilla, MME DP; Inks: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Black; Accessories: Ribbon, Twine, Button, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Rainbows of Life

Hello and happy Sunday!

I'm happy to be home and stamping again!

Today on SCS the Featured Stamper is Lydia. I chose to CASE her CAS card here.
I wanted something quick and easy to ease myself back into stamping after being away over a week.

I used the super fun AND cute MFT die-namics in Flat Bottom Clouds and Rainbows.
LOVE both of these!!

Thanks for stopping by today....I've got to run and get laundry done, yard work done and a little more stamping ;)
Have a GREAT day!

Last weekend I really couldn't put that sweet I Heart U Die down!
Verve had such a wonderful release a couple of weeks ago and I want it ALL! LOL!

Adding the die cuts and stamping the So Much from the You and I set.

Perk Up

Well our vacation is winding down and we will start our road trip back to Calgary this morning :(
We are excited to get home and see our Snickers and Karen(who kindly volunteered to dog sit for us)!

Before leaving last weekend I had the opportunity to make a sample for Teresa's Viva La Verve August Week 5 Sketch.
I REALLY wanted to use another new set from Verve called Better With You.
I stamped the cup onto white cardstock with Memento ink and coloured with copics. I decided to paper piece the band.
The papers are from a new My Mind's Eye Lost & Found paper pack.
Love all of these!

Some of My Favourites

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

Although I am no longer on the MFT design team, I still LOVE the stamps!
I was lucky enough to receive my MFT package in the mail last week before leaving for vacation and got to stamping with this little cutie pie!
I used the Inkspiration sketch as a starting point. I only swayed a little bit ;)

I inked up my new PI...Caramel Apple.
I had made a couple of bookmarks for a dear friend's children and will need to pop them in the mail when I get home.
You can find the corner bookmark tutorial o SCS.
This first one uses one of my all time fave PI girls....Being Cute Is What I Do.
Fred Bear Plays Indian was used for this bookmark.

Can you believe I didn't use any designer paper?
Sometimes I rely on it too much, how about you?

I haven't played along with the SCS colour challenge in a little while because I have not had an In Colours BUT Monday evening my SU! order arrived!
In it were the last two years of In Colours and this adorable stamp set called Snow Much Fun.
I coloured the snowman with copics as lightly as I could.
Pretty simple card that came together quickly!

Felt Flower Barrettes

Yesterday morning Chloe and I headed to Michael's for some things that she's been bugging to get. Luckily they had a 25% off your total purchase....bonus!
We've been wanting to do some mother-daughter things and these barrettes were a good starting point.
We picked out the items together but that's as far as the mother-daughter crafting time went....lol
Something else caught her attention and off she went.
I ended up hot gluing these together on my own(which as probably a better idea anyway)
Before she disappeared she had helped pick the colours and dies to make them.
We used a variety of dies from MFT and Papertrey.
All the felt comes from MFT.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your day!

The funky My Mind's Eye designer papers were still on my stamp table from my last card.

The sentiment was cut out using the Verve Charming Oval Die Set.

Stamps: Birthday Bash; Cardstock: White, Real Red, MME DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Charming Oval Die Set, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Circle Nesties, Dimensionals

Never Give Up

Mojo Monday always has the BEST sketches posted each week.
I don't often get a chance to play along early in the week but this time I did!
Makes me happy!
I used quite a few Verve goodies to create this card.
The butterfly was cut out using the Flutterby Die and was popped up with a dimensional on the Sweet Scallop Die.
I chose the sentiment from Hope Blooms because if you look closely at the designer paper there are the words never give up on them ;)

Life is Good

Happy Monday!
I'm so thankful to not be doing any overnight trips for work this week. The past three weeks have thrown my creativity time out the window....along with my mojo! LOL!
Looking forward to coming home from work each evening and unwinding in my stamp room :)

I created this card below using the Viva La Verve August Week 2 sketch that you can find in the Verve forum on SCS.
I used some pretty new designer paper that I picked up. Not my usual style but it's nice to step outside the box and try new things!
The stamp set comes from Verve and it's called Beautiful You.
I layered two Verve Dies called Classy Label and Vintage Oval.
Stamps: Beautiful You; Cardstock: Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Echo Park DP; Inks: Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: Vintage Oval Die, Classy Label Die, MFT Edge Die, Kiwi/Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Mini Pearls, Dimensionals

On a side note....
Yesterday my sister and her family came by to visit us. We haven't had our families together in a year as they moved to BC last summer. It was great to see them! This is a shot of my nephew, Max and I playing around with the Hipstamtic camera on my iPhone. He's such a ham!

Good Luck!

Today my newest store opens and I wanted to have a little something to give to the Beauty department manager. She's worked really hard the past few weeks getting it set, polished and looking perfect! I know she'll do a GREAT job!
Sunday I sat down to make a card to bring to her in Edmonton.
This is my favourite PI girl of all time ;)
Being Cute Is What I Do.
Designer paper is from an old paper pad and can't recall the name....sorry!

Life is Good

Happy Tuesday!
Last week Amber posted the newest Viva La Verve Sketch in the Verve Forum on SCS.
GREAT sketch too!
Very little stamping on my card but I did use a couple other Verve elements.
The Jotted Heart Die was cut out with some fun cork and the Elegant Leaves Die was cut out using some Kiwi Kiss. It looked a little plain so I stamped the image from Bloom & Grow onto the leaves.
The sentiment is from the Hope Blooms set.
Stamps: Hope Blooms, Bloom & Grow; Cardstock: Kraft, Kiwi Kiss, Cosmo Cricket DP; Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Brown; Accessoriess: Felt, Cork, Elegant Leaves Die, Jotted Heart Die, Rolled Rose Die, Dimensionals

Home Is Where My Heart Is-Dare To Get Dirty

Yesterday afternoon inbetween doing some laundry, watching the race and some paperwork I snuck in some time to play along with a few of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SCS.

This one combines three challenges.

If you aren't a club member on SCS you won't be able to play :(
Sorry!
I actually really like how this card turned out. Seems whenever I really like something, nobody else does....lol

Stamps and dies are from MFT.
