Holidays Paper Players #112

Good morning!

Today on the Paper Players Blog we have a colour challenge for you :)

When I created my sample earlier in the week I didn't have any basic grey cardstock so I had to stamp my sentiment over the tree in basic grey instead. I actually like the softer look the grey gives rather than a black.

This is a SUO card.

Stamps: Evergreen; Carstock:White, Baja, Black, Snow Festival DSP; Ink: Baja, Basic Grey; Accessories: Baja Seam Binding; Adorning Accents Edgelits, Adorning Accents Folder, Dimensionals

Before I get an email telling me that I have misspelled grey....that's how it's spelled....in Canada and many other countries.

Happy Weekend!

It's going to be beautiful here in Calgary and I hope to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

After grocery shopping earlier this morning I came home to stamp for a bit.

The MFT sketch #88 looked like a quick and easy one :) Just what I needed after a few days of no free time.

I used the adorable PI Cute-a-tude and some MME A Mother's Love dp.

The flower was cut using some MFT felt and the Plentiful Flowers Die.

Tomorrow is Another Day

Let's switch things up today after a couple of days of busy cards ;)

Monday the CAS challenge on SCS was to incorporate fabric into your CAS card.

I die cut the butterflies out of kraft cardstock(negative piece) using a MFT butterfly.

Paper pieced around the edge and added a piece of canvas behind before popping it up on dimensionals on a kraft cardstock base.

Sentiment comes from MFT's Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn.

I thought we were just going to kick back for the day but Brian has mentioned a little drive to Banff.

Good Sunday Morning!

Today we have a fun challenge on the Paper Player's Blog.

I had a hard time making up my mind which tree image I would use.

Definitely will be making another for this challenge! 

I pulled out some retired stuff to create my sample today.

Since I still had a piece of canvas on my table after cutting the scallops I thought I'd see how it worked stamping on it. This is just regular SU! ink and I think it looks pretty good :)
May need to try this again soon!

Snow Day

Hello!

This has been a weird week at work for me.

Normally I have a team that I work with but with holidays and other things going on I've been on my own all week and it sort of makes the days DRAG....ugh.

 If I can just get through the next couple of days I'll be fine because then it's Labour Day 3 day weekend!!

This is another card I created using the MFT September sketch.

Pulled out some My Mind's Eye Papers and the uber cute Snow Day girl.
I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the white snowflake and a tiny heart.
Hard to see in the photo but I traced the snowballs and ground with a spica pen.

Well Read Bookmark

Good Wednesday Morning!

Yesterday I had an out of town trip for work and that always makes my week go by faster....love that!

Although when I get home after all that driving I am super tired and have no energy to stamp :(

Luckily on Monday evening I had time and energy to play along with Joan's TLC on SCS.

You were to make this really simple bookmark using scraps of paper.

Mine was a 2.5 x 11 piece of kraft.

I added some MME dp that had a pretty floral pattern in the corner. Two rows of polka dot scallops.
It was really simple to make. Fold the kraft in half and sew about a 1/2 inch down so that the bookmark will fit over the page in your book. I punched two holes close to the top with my cropadile and thread two pieces of ribbon through the holes and tied a bow. The image is from MFT and is called Book In Hand.

I coloured her with copics and cut her out. The pink sweater really isn't that bright in real life...hmmmm.

Talk Nerdy To Me

Well....it's back to work after a two week vacation :(

Bummer.

I sort of like staying at home lol but now that I have my new Camero I suppose I won't be quitting anytime soon....lol...have to pay for it ;)
I had a few people ask me about the car so I thought I'd share a picture....

I did manage to get quite a bit of stamping in after getting home which was nice!

Too bad I didn't spend anytime cleaning up my craft space. It's a disaster.

There is always next weekend, right?

Normally I'm really excited about Friday arriving but not this week :(

Amazing Life

Happy Wednesday!

Wow what a productive day I've had. 

I managed to get all the laundry from vacation put away, mowed the front and back lawn, picked up Snickers from the kennel, stopped at a couple grocery stores for fresh fruit/veggies, went for lunch with my husband and stamped!

Now I can relax for the last 4 days of my vacation :)

Monday will come quickly....lol
