My Friend

Happy Monday!

Weekends go way too fast and weekdays way too slow.
LOL!
It looks to be another beautiful week here in Calgary.
Chinook winds are blowing in which means snow melting!
Yeah!

Yesterday the featured stamper was Wendy and if you've never been to her blog or seen her copic colouring....you MUST :)
She has MAD colouring skills! Amazing details! Wow!
Of course I was a little intimidated to case one of her coloured images so I went with a stamped image....lol....I know....chicken eh?

You're a Friend Who Makes Good Times Great

Hello :)

If you are dealing with all that snow on the east coast I hope you are doing well.
I can only imagine having to shovel THAT much snow!
Some people think since I live in Canada I must be used to that crazy weather.
Well not really....lol
We don't live in igloos and we often have mild winters with little snow.
If I measure our snow total for the entire winter it's likely not even close to what has hit the east!

Yesterday we had a freak little blizzard, well not really a blizzard but we all laughed that it blew in and out so fast and the snow was blowing sideways. Geez Brian had a snooze and had no clue what happened. By the time he woke up it was all gone.

I'm still trying to organize my stamps. I really want to clean up and get rid of many sets but didn't realize how time consuming this was going to be.
Is it really worth the hassle? LOL!

Any way here is a card I created using the Freshly Made Sketch #72.
Used some new MME paper and the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder.

Stamps:  Verve's Great Friend, Sunny Days
Paper: Crumb Cake, MME Collections Notable, Core'dinations Blue
Ink: Cocoa, Celery
Accessories: Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder, Verve Leafy Sprigs Die, SU button, Twine, Sewing, Sandpaper, Dimensionals, Circle Nesties

Cute-A-Tude

Hello :)

I've been looking forward to this weekend and getting in my stamp room to do some organizing!
I need to make room for some new stamping goodies and to do that I must FIRST de-clutter, prioritize what I really need and then sell the rest! LOL!

That's the first thing on my agenda today!
After I get all that sorted out and ONLY after I get that sorted out, will I stamp!

So for now I'll share a card I created using sketch #183 from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

U Hold My Heart

I've been really tired lately and can't figure it out. Hope it's not a sign that a cold is coming on...again.
Cough and cold season seems to be hangin' on tight around these parts and being that I often work in the pharmacy part of the store I'm bound to touch something that some other "sickie" has touched....germs....yuck!

Anyway, here is a quick card I created using the MFT Guest Designer Sketch.
I didn't enter it. Just played along. Can't be bothered to enter anymore.
Moving right along....
I've been doing an inventory on my stamps and will be doing a HUGE purge soon! Started with some SU! sets and I will be moving onto a ton of MFT.
Sorry I won't be parting with any Verve or Papertrey.
I'll try to get something ready and post this weekend.
Keep your eyes out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Someone So Special Can Never Be Forgotten

Hello :)
You know every Monday morning while drinking my coffee and checking out some sites I look forward to coming home after work to stamp.
Then I go to work.
All that changes....lol
I get home and I'm exhausted and all those good intentions are thrown out the window! LOL!
Am I the only one that this happens to?

Fortunately, I had time to create a great deal on the weekend.
I created this card on Sunday for the Paper Players Challenge #131 which was a sympathy card.

Paper: White, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, MME dp
Ink: Black
Accessories: Circle Nesties, Pool Party Twine, MFT Scallops, Verve Flutterby Die, Sewing, Dimensionals, mini rhinestones

Celebrate Good Times

Monday already?
I didn't win the lotto last week so it's back to the grind! LOL!

Our weekend was pretty laid back. Brian worked so we didn't make it to Banff as I had hoped. The Rocky Mountains sure looked pretty from my house though :) New white snow with clear blue skies!

Here is another card I created for a co-worker. I work with a LOT of guys. There are girls too but it's mostly myself and 4 or 5 other guys each day. This year it looks like I'll be needing many more masculine cards. Admittedly, I much prefer to create a girly card.
I struggle like mad with masculine.

Luckily the Seize the Birthday Challenge blog will have a masculine every other week. That will help :)
That's what I used to create this.
The Seize The Birthday Challenge #4 which was a sketch with a masculine theme.
Stamps: Birthday Bash by Verve
Paper: White, Black, Crumb Cake
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Copics, Oval nesties, Sewing, SU star punches, Xyron, Glitter, Dimensionals

The Best Things - SSSC177

Hello :)

It's time for a fabulous and new Sweet Sunday Sketch!
Are you ready?
I decided to keep this one fairly CAS.
I stamped the MFT My Favorite Sentiment in Versamark and heat embossing with Black Embossing Powder.
A little stitching and a MFT flower die finish it off.
Stop by the DT blogs and see what wonderful inspiration they have for you!

Life Happens Over Coffee

Hello and happy weekend!

Our weather looks to be really really nice the next several days.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the snow on the back deck had melted and the deck was bone dry when I got home yesterday!
That means I will do a little BBQ'n tonight!
Not that a little snow and cold stops me....I live in Canada after all ;)

Yesterday I gave this card to one of my co-workers and was so excited that he loved it!
He kept saying how nice it was and showed it to everyone. Makes me smile :)
It's always nice to give a card to someone and see how much they appreciate it.

Then when I got home I had gotten an email from someone who is opening a store and wants to know if I am interested in selling some of my cards in her store!!! How cool! As much as I've wanted to set up and get an Etsy shop going who am I kidding....that's work.

Anyway....how about the card? ha!
This was made using some Verve stamps and uses the Mojo sketch #278.
Stamps: Better With You
Paper: Choc chip, Crumb Cake,Vanilla, EP Note To Self DP
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, choc Chip, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Copics, Sewing, Dies, Dimensionals

Let's Celebrate YOU

Happy Friday Folks :)

It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL weekend here in Calgary and I think a trip to Banff might just happen!
I love that we live so close and can "pop by" anytime....lol

First I need to get through today and work.
I love my job but sometimes it's both physically and emotionally exhausting.
Knowing that it's the weekend makes it that much easier.

Here is a card I created last week for the Seize the Birthday Challenge #3 and it won!
How cool is that?!
