I ♥ Stamps!

Hello :)

The weather looks to be sooooooo nice all week here in Calgary!
I hope that I can enjoy some relaxing time out on the deck in the evenings. It's nice to grab my book and sit outdoors. That's if the dogs out back don't go on one of their barking sprees.

We have a lot going on at home right now which means a lot less crafty time.
I did make a card for the Featured Stamper on SCS last weekend.
I pulled out a cute new PI that I received last month. First chance I've had to ink her up....I know....what a shame!

Happiness is... You

Hello :)

Today I hope to be able to spill the beans! Big things are about to happen for my family and I am busting with excitement! I've been lucky enough to have a wonderful crafting lifestyle but now I'll need to find a balance once again with work. Having a supportive family makes it that much easier though.

I've been trying to play along regularly, if you call three times now....lol, with the Cas(e) This Sketch Blog.
Link is on my sidebar.

Here is the sketch from last week.

Reaching for some fun Reverse Confetti stamps I created this quick little card.
I stamped the arrows from Arrows 'n Elements in rainbow colours and paper pierced along the edge of the cardstock for a little more detail.
The happiness is.... comes from the Arrows 'n Elements as well.
The YOU comes from Dream In Color.

A Little Birthday Wish - FMS98

Hello and happy Sunday!

Normally I don't wish my weekends away but this weekend can't go by fast enough.
Big things are happening at work this week! Exciting!
I have another two day road trip planned.

Anyway, I should have been cleaning yesterday but after about 10 minutes I packed it in.

Sat down at my craft table and pulled out some stamps and got to work on the Freshly Made Sketch.
This is what I created using some MFT stamps.
Stamps: Birthday Greetings, Abstract ArtPaper: White, Black, Real RedInk: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, BlackAccessories: Mat pack and paper piercer, Small star punch, Dimensionals,

Happy Birthday - TLC441

Gosh I can't believe I haven't stamped since last weekend and I'm not sure if I'll have time this weekend!
All of my posts have been pre-scheduled all week, including this one!

Monday I made another card for Joan's TLC challenge on SCS - Mix Up Sentiments
Here I used a set from MFT and stamped the background almost exactly as it comes on the acrylic sheet! ha!
Needing more masculine birthday cards I went with muted colours stamped directly on kraft rather than white cardstock.
Stamps: Party Balloons, Birthday GreetingsPaper: KraftInk: Black, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Cherry CobblerAccessories: Paper Piercer, Party Balloon Dies, Jute, Dimensionals

I Like You

Good Morning!
I'm liking this SHORT work week :)

Tomorrow I leave for a couple of days on a road trip for work. Looking forward to it!
I will have all my posts scheduled for the rest of the week and I'll check in when I can!

Since yesterday was a holiday AND it rained we stayed in and relaxed. Well I did take Chloe driving and she did REALLY well! Then her friend came over and we didn't see her for the rest of the day....lol

Joan had a wonderful challenge up on SCS for the Try a New Technique #441 - Mixed Up Sentiments

I created this Reverse Confetti card using sets from Whole Lotta Dots, Arrows 'n Elements and I Like You.
The dots were stamped in versamark onto the black cardstock and then embossed with Clear EP.
Stamping several sentiments from the Arrows 'n Elements in a rainbow of colours on my piece of 3 x 3.5 white cardstock makes a pretty cool background!
Stamps: Whole Lotta Dots, I Like You, Arrows 'n ElementsPaper: White, Red, BlackInk: Versamark, Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Bashful BlueAccessories: Clear ep, Button, Jute, Heat Gun
The layout comes from a Sketch For You To Try.

Freshly Made Dynamic Duos

Happy Monday!
Today I am happy it's Monday because it's a LONG weekend and no work for me :)

Stamping and cleaning are on my to do list today.
Gotta have some balance, right?

Saturday afternoon I sat down for a bit and made a couple of cards for the Dynamic Duos Challenge and the Freshly Made Sketch.
Here is one of them using a cute A la Mode from MFT.
I don't own the Strawberry Slush colour from SU! yet so I subbed the PTI Hibiscus Burst.
The background was created with the Spots & Dots background from MFT and was stamped in Daffodil Delight onto the cardstock. A little bit of Stardust Stickles were added to the balloons after I'd coloured with Copics.
Stamps: ALM Big Birthday Wishes, MFT Spots and DotsPaper: White, Daffodil Delight, Hibiscus BurstInk: Memento black, Daffodil DelightAccessories: copics, Hibiscus burst ribbon, daffodil delight seam binding, Stardust Stickles
Then I decided to make a quick card using the MFT Party Balloons stamp set and die.
This time I die cut the balloons and then stamped with Versamark and clear embossed for some shine.
Somehow I have white flecks in my embossing powder :(  Looks like a trip to the LSS to get a new container!
I know....good excuse eh?
The HAPPY was cut with a new die from MFT called Accent It - Celebrate.
The birthday stamp is from the free set I received last month with my order called You're Invited.
Stamps: MFT You're Invited, Party BalloonsPaper: White, Hibiscus Burst, Daffodil DelightInk: Versamark, Black, Daffodil DelightAccessories: Mat pack and paper piercer, heat gun, clear ep, party balloon dies, Accent It Celebrate, Dimensionals

Have a Lovely Birthday - SSSC190

Hello :)

Are you ready for another WONDERFUL sketch?!
This week there is a fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch for you. Check it out!
This week I decided to take those flowers on the sketch and make similar ones using the MFT dies. Does anyone else ever forget about all the dies they have? I can't recall the last time I used those flowers! What a shame!
Ready to see the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team?

Enjoy Your Special Day

Good Friday Morning!

I am SOOOOOOOOO looking forward to the long weekend!
As of right now I don't know what our plans are.
I'll know shortly after noonish.....lol

Maybe a road trip is in order ;)

Chloe passed her Learner's License on Wednesday so Brian planned to take her driving for the first time!
I'm so proud of her!!!

I will have some stampy time at some point though!

Have you been playing along with the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SCS.
I was lucky enough to be asked by Angela to make a sample for her challenge :)
You have to be a fan club member to see and play along with the challenges.
This was the card I created:

I Love You - DS112

Happy Thursday!

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
This week I decided to go PINK
It's been awhile since I used the sweet Hundred Hearts stamp set from Verve.
I added a bit of Smooch Spritz to the heart after cutting it out. Funny how we find things in our stash and then can't put them away(smooch spritz for me) LOL!
