Wishing for Spring!

Good Morning!
The SCS colour challenge was posted by Jenn Balcer yesterday and at first I was thinking I couldn't pull it off....it had summer sun in it....lol
I decided I HAD to at least try and I actually like the end result!
I started with Taylor's TECC59 sketch and used the colours in the challenge.
Summer Sun, Riding Hood Red and Kraft
This was the first time I had used this AWESOME ribbon....I LOVE it!
Stamps: Cheep Talk; Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun, Kraft, White and Washington Apple DP; Inks: Summer Sun, Choc Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Black; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Circle Nesties, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals
This week's All That Scraps Challenge was to use lots of ribbon!
With all the snow and cold we have had lately I'm wishing for Spring and rain which hopefully will bring a rainbow! See where I was going with this card ;)
Thankfully the first official day of Spring is this Friday!!!
I pulled out the super duper cute stamp set by CC Designs that is called Gingersnaps Spring Things. She was coloured in rainbow colours with my copic markers and some fun Glossy Accents were added to the puddle!
Stamps: Gingersnaps Spring Things; Cardstock: White, Real Red; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Rectangle Nesties, Rhinestones, Glossy Accents, Dimensionals, Grosgrain Ribbons

Mojo78 Birthday Cards

Good Morning!
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Are you wearing GREEN?
Yesterday was busy but boring....ever have one of those days?
After zipping out to buy some new blades for my paper cutter I got to work on two Mojo78 sketch cards.
I wanted to make some birthday cards as the school has ordered more...yeah!
My first one uses Stella's Cupcake from Stamping Bella. This image cracks me up!
I think this card is pretty straight forward except for the curve on the image panel. That was made using a circle nestie.
Stamps: Stella's Cupcake; Cardstock: Regal Rose, Choice Bright White and Sweet Always dp; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Eyelet Border Punch, Regal Rose Ribbon, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Stickles
My second card uses Taylored Expressions two new sets called Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates. I love that there are so many options with these sets!
I stamped the images on Choice Bright White...what a FABULOUS white paper for colouring with copics....no bleeding! It's smooth like SU! Whisper White but takes the inks so much better!
The tree top was paper pieced with some retired Maine Blueberry DP then popped up on dimensionals. Don't you want to hop right on that swing and go for a ride?!
Stamps: Branching Out, Branching Out Coordinates; Cardstock: Choice Bright White, Not Quite Navy, Maine Blueberry DP; Inks: Choc Chip, Memento Black, Memento Rich Cocoa; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Eyelet Border Punch, paper snips, dimensionals, Old Olive Grosgrain

Good Morning!
Ready for another week?!
There was no Nascar race yesterday and since we are saving up for our Florida vacation we decided to stay home and not go out and spend money on silly things! Sure hope the Canadian Dollar picks up SOON! I went and got $1000 US the other day and it cost me $1301 Canadian...ACK!
Anyway....as I was saying....I stayed home....guess what I did? Yep...STAMPED!
I did MANY things yesterday....love those productive days!
I'll show you this for now though.
It is a teacher gift and I've been wanting to do it FORVER!
Nichole Heady has a great tutorial with the PDF files on her blog HERE.

My Regional Swap Card

Good Morning!
If you are here for the H & M Blog Hop....scroll down to my second post :)
Ok so after much deliberation yesterday I finally narrowed down a swap card for next weekend's Edmonton SU! Regional. I decided to use a few of my favourite things!
Pacific Point Cardstock- new fave
Old Olive Cardstock- old fave
SU! Top Note Die- a must have
SU! Butterly Die- a must have
Eyelet Border Punch
Here is a close up....what do you think? If you are going to the Edmonton Regionals...let me know! I'd love to meet up with you!
Stamps: Inspired by Nature; Cardstock: Pacific Point, Old Olive, WW; Ink: Old Olive; Accessories: Top Note Die, Butterfly Die, Eyelet border punch, Pacific point ribbon, 2 way glue pen, Dazzling diamonds, glue dot

Tutorial on my Blog Hop Treat Box

I've had a few emails and comments about the dimensions for the H & M Blog Hop Box I made HERE.
I've never done a tutorial before so please be gentle...lol
Start with a piece of 8 x 8 cardstock and score each side at 2.5".
Then score two sides at 2 and 6...but only to the score lines as you see in the photo. The X gets cut out.
Trim off the four corners. Punch out your window with a circle punch. Here I used a 1 3/4". For a little more fun...try punching on opposite sides so light goes through the box or use a different shape or nestie to make your window!
Score all lines.
Adhere some sticky strip to the backside of the flaps and tape your box together.
Here is your box completed....well minus any decorating ;)
Now take a piece of cardstock that measures 4 2/16th square. Score it at 1/2" on each side. Snip 4 corners as I have done here. Adhere some sticky strip to the back of those little flaps and tape your box lid together!
If you have any questions...holler at me :)

H & M Blog Hop!

This month we are hopping with some super cool projects!
If you just started here you should hop back to Carolina and see what she created! After visiting me you can now hop on over to Debbie Corbari (illustrator).
My little treat box measures about 3 x 3 and it will hold quite a few little mini eggs! I've used Debbie's new set called Eggstra Special.
You can find all the cool H & M Stamps HERE.
After cutting and scoring my box I punched a window with the 1 3/4" punch and adhered a piece of acetate....so cute looking in at the goodies! Well IF there were goodies in there....lol....we have NO treats in this house because I can't eat them ;) LOL!
When I get a chance I'll try to re-visit this box I made and write down the instructions....I'm more of an eyeballer when it comes to making things.

Hey Dude! Just buzzin' by

Good Morning!
Yesterday was super busy and when I got home I didn't feel much like stamping....I know...I'm shocked too....lol
Luckily I had this card ready for Lauren's Saturday Sketch.
This week we are making cards to send to Alicia who is another Saturday Sketch Girl. Her son Ethan's cancer has progressed and the news hasn't been very good. I wanted to make my card for Ethan and after looking through all my stamps I couldn't find any get well type image for a child. Then I spotted this Changito Monkey in the drawer and thought I could use him! The flower center had Thank You(I think) so I decided to punch a So Saffron circle and emboss it to cover it up. I think it worked pretty good! The sentiment is from AmyR's Wardrobe Sentiments that you can find at All That Scraps.
Stamps: Changito Monkey, AmyR's Wardrobe Sentiments; Cardstock: Choc Chip, So Saffron, Blue Bayou, White and WeRMemoryKeepers White Collection dp; Inks: Mememto Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Punch, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Designer label punch, ribbon, Mat pack and paper piercer, dimensionals
Here is the sketch! If you play along and upload to SCS please use the keyword mytimess27 so we can find you!
Saturday Sketch Team:
Yesterday's Limited Supply Challenge was fairly simple. You were to use a bug image, no more than 4 layers of cardstock and NO designer papers. That equals a simple card! This is what I came up with.

Stamps: Just Buzzin' By; Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Choc chip, WC paper; Inks: Versafine Black, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Choc chip, Blush Blossom, More Mustard; Accessories: Aqua Painter, Nesties, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Eyelet border punch, Flower Fusion, Silver Brad, Dimensionals

Happy Monday!

Good Monday Morning!
Did you all enjoy your weekend?
Mine was GREAT! The Oiler's won on Saturday and Jeff Gordon finished second yesterday!
YEAH!
Late yesterday afternoon I realized that the Edmonton SU! Regional is less than two weeks away and I haven't done one swap yet...let alone even THOUGHT about what I'm doing. I am super duper excited to go with Christine and Laura....my Dirty Girl Buds!
My question is for those that swap....
How many do you typically do for an event like this? Keep in mind that I'm more of a hobby demo and don't need a ton of ideas for workshops.
When I saw the Featured Stamper was Judy aka StampingQueenJAR on SCS I was excited! She's super sweet and makes wonderful cards!
I decided to CASE this card of hers HERE.
Thanks Denise for this super cute Whipper Snapper image ;)
Stamps: Whipper Snapper; Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, WW, So Saffron and Summer Picnic DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Swiss dots embossing foler, White Brads, Ribbon, EK Success Wavy Border punch, Dimensionals

Good Morning!
We have received a large dump of snow this weekend and that means I don't go out! LOL!
It also means that I can stay home and STAMP!

This card was made using the Weekend Sketch Challenge 71 that I found on Beate's Blog. It was also made for the Inspiration Challenge 170 on SCS. I chose the second picture that was posted.

I'm glad it's the weekend but I'm not so happy about our weather :( This cold and snow is getting OLD...ugh!
This was the birthday card I made for my husband! I really like how it turned out. I've been wanting to use some big chipboard and UTEE ever since I saw Amy Sheffer do it on a card months ago!

Friends in Sunshine and in Shade

Good Morning!
I've got one last card to show you from
Taylored Expressions before they become available this morning!
I'm LOVING this new set by Nancy McKinney called Branching Out!
Normally I'm one who makes cards with loads of layers and everything is usually "matchy matchy" as some of my friends say....lol but this set gets me stepping outside my creative box....I really like that!
I stamped the tree top on a piece of Good Morning DP, cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals. This card would be great to send to a friend for a little pick me up :)

Stamps: Branching Out; Cardstock: Choc chip, Kiwi kiss, Choice Bright White and Good Morning DP; Inks: Choc Chip; Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, HPH, Choc poly twill, Paper snips, Dimensionals

All the sets are now available at Taylored Expressions!!

If you were at the release party this morning at Paper Craft Planet - you might have seen this awesome color challenge that Taylor has created:

To celebrate the release of her new stamps over at Taylored Expressions, Taylor is giving away a Key Ingredient Birthday Boy set. All you have to do is to create a card inspired by these colors and upload it to Paper Craft Planet using the tag: tecolorchallenge (all one word, all lowercase). You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, March 9th at 8am PST to be eligible for the Key Ingredients Set. We can't wait to see your lovely creations!
