A Day To Remember

Yesterday while waiting for the furnace cleaners to arrive I sat down to stamp.
I've been stalking my mailbox for the past week waiting for my Verve order to arrive but I couldn't wait any longer to play along with the Mojo 215 sketch....lol
I am sure Canada Post/Customs loves making me squirm every time I order from the US.
Buggers, eh?
I decided to pull out the Sunny Days set.
I stamped the flower onto designer paper and added a bit of colour with my YR21 copic.
The leaves were stamped and cut using the Leafy Sprig Die.
Stamps: Sunny Days; Cardstock: Choice Buttercream, Smokey Shadow, MME Lost & Found DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Leafy Sprigs Die, Button, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Thank You

Hello!
Last Friday I had some stampy time in the morning so I played along with the F4A Challenge.
It was to make a thank you card and also use your fave embellishment.
Really? Choose just one?
Well I love to use my paper piercer for holes when the image panel just needs something.
I wasn't sure if that was a legal embellishment....lol....so I added another fave....ribbon.
I've made a good dent in my to do list this week!
Today my furnace is getting cleaned so until the dude leaves I probably won't be stamping.
After that....look out!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Snow Much Fun!!! Really!

I just adore this snowman from Snow Much Fun!
So much in fact that I made several different cards using him last week.
First up was a second card I made for the Crazy 4 Challenge #113.
I coloured him with Copics and added some glitter.
The next one was for one of the VSN challenge on SCS Friday evening.
Create a white card with lots sparkle AND the only colour could come from your image.
I found this one super hard! I love my pattern paper and use it on almost every card I create.
This was coloured with Copics.
This one was for another VSN challenge of making a card about your favourite holiday song. Also you had to use at least two layers and two embellishments.
Love the look of stamping and colouring with copics on kraft cardstock!
Lastly, this one was created for no special reason other than I wanted to try my hand at watercolouring. It's been a LONG time since I have done this technique. Interestingly, I had several people favour this card on SCS. Not sure why....lol as it's super simple!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

You Warm My Heart

Hello :)

Have you been playing along with the VSN challenges that were posted on Friday evening on SCS?
Yesterday I managed to get them completed and I'll share them this week.
I think this is my favourite so I'll start with it....lol
This was the first challenge I believe.
To make something warm and cozy and all bundled up. With an added twist of using felt.
I reached for one of my favourite PI girls and the Taylored Expressions Tree Die.
Fun!
Thanks for stopping by today!
I plan on doing a lot of stamping and watching TV today.
Race Day, Football and Hockey tonight!
Go Gordon, Go Eskimos and Go Oilers!

Snow Fun!

I'm back today with the Crazy 4 Challenges - A Triple Threat Card C4C113

Use three dies/punches, three papers and three embellishments.

Since I'm still in need of wintery cards to hand out this holiday season I reached for this super cute PI girl and some fun designer papers.
Layout comes from this weeks MFT sketch challenge.
Please be sure to stop by the C4C blog and play along. Don't forget to leave your link there so we can all see your creations!!

We are expecting snow this weekend....so I will spend my time inside stamping ;)
Have a GREAT day!

Love U

It's the first day of my 10 day vacation and I'm LOVING it!
This week Jackie is the hostess of the Viva La Verve November Week 2 Sketch.
I had really wanted to use some new stamps but darn customs seems to be holding them hostage again :(

Since they didn't arrive I decided to pull out the fabulous You and I stamp set along with the I Heart U die set.
I love those dies!! So much fun!
I hope you'll play along with the sketches!
I know as soon as my package arrives....I'm going to be busy stamping again!

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks So Very Much

Gosh I've done a lot of stamping this week!
It's been wonderful!
Monday I created this card for the Mojo #214 sketch.
I used several Verve goodies to create this CAS(at least to me) card.
The sentiment was stamped from the Making a Statement set and die cut with the Classy Label Die.
Some felt flowers were cut out using the Loopy Blooms Die.
Stamps: Making a Statement; Cardstock: Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, DSP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Classy Label Die, Loopy Blooms Die, Ribbon, Copics, Button, Twine, Dimensionals, Pearls

Friendship Warms The Heart

Yeah for Wednesday!!
Work today and tomorrow and then I'm on vacation!!
Although we aren't going anywhere it will still be wonderful to have some time off :)
Sunday afternoon I created this card to add to my Chrismtas stash.
I'm making cards for all of my Beauty and Health supervisors(40) again this year.
There are several that do not celebrate Chrismtas BUT I didn't want to exclude them in any way.
So that's where cards like the ones below come in.

December 25th TLC350

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday I had a sick kid at home and lucky for me a great deal of my work can be done from home on my laptop. After finishing my normal Monday reporting I had a little extra time.
So while Chloe napped I stamped.
Joan had a fun TLC challenge on SCS to create a card with no stamping or digi images.
I reached for the numbers in the By The Numbers set from MFT.
Designer paper is from Teresa Collins.

Welcoming Winter

As pretty as fresh snow is, it gets old real quick!
We had a light dusting on Friday which made the roads and driving treacherous.
People just need to SLOW down.
Since it wasn't all the nice this weekend, only around the freezing mark, I stayed in.
Stamping was how I spent my time. Not that I'm complaining....lol
I managed to make several cards and even addressed some :)

This card below was made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from yesterday.
Fairly quick and simple to create.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great start to your week!

Special People

Hello!
It's been a pretty quiet weekend around our house. Not having to be anywhere or do anything has been wonderful!
Friday there was a new Viva La Verve sketch posted by Amy.
I was a little intimidated by it at first. Wasn't sure what to do with all the circles.
Decided I'd make another rosette for one of them.
The stamp set is called Feel The Sun and it's from Verve.
Stamps: Feel The Sun; Cardstock: Kraft, October Afternoon Sidewalks; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Sewing Machine, Spica Pen, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals
Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

Best Husband Ever - Sketch For You To Try

Good Saturday Morning!

Please scroll down to see my Crazy 4 Challenges post as well :)

It's the first Saturday of November which means Jen has a new Sketch For You To Try.
This month Verve is her sponsor and lucky for me she shared her sketch early.
Fun!
I used several Verve goodies to create the card below for my husband.
I started by cutting a piece of kraft cardstock with the Rounded Scallop Frame Die. Using a piece of pattern paper I stamped the flower from Kind Words and sentiment from Dad's Day before cutting it using the Rounded Rectangle Die.
The bottom strip of kraft cardstock was stamped with a sentiment from Text Objects.
Stamps: Text Objects, Dad's Day, Kind Words; Inks: Choc Chip, Certainly Celery, Real Red; Accessories: Rounded Rectangle Die, Rounded Scallop Frame Die, Corner Chomper, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend!

Warmest Wishes for a Glowing Holiday Tag

Hello and happy weekend!

I was tickled pink to receive an email from Frances earlier this week asking if I'd like to join the Crazy 4 Challenges team!
Things have finally settled down for me and I have a lot more spare time to do design team stuff so I jumped at the chance!
For those of you that haven't played along with the C4C team before please check them out.

This week we were challenged to Wrap It Up!
With the holidays fast approaching, let's see how you'll give a gift that personal touch.
Like boxes, tags, bags, gift card holders....you get the idea :)

I decided to create a gift tag.
Here I have used several different products from PTI, MFT and Taylored Expressions.
The tag began with a piece of kraft cardstock cut with the PTI Favor It Box #3. I cut off the bottom/side piece as I obviously was not creating a box ;)
I layered on some pattern papers from Echo Park's Season's Greetings.
The rosette was created by hand as I don't have a die for that...yet!
The sweet little felt bird was cut using the MFT Contempo Birdcage.
Sentiment comes from the Taylored Expressions Tag Treats.
Some sewing, dimensionals and ribbon finish it off.

Now that you've had a chance to see what I created this week I hope you'll join us!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas List

I had this cute little PI girl coloured on my table and thought I'd use her to put together a card last night.
Here's another Christmas card to add to my pile ;)

The layout comes from the MFT sketch #44.
Added a little bit of Spica Pen to her heart and shoes.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Wishes For You

Today is my sister's birthday and because we live so far apart we can't be together.
I did however make this birthday card for her!
The sketch comes from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #25. Also the Crazy 4 Challenges making something sweet.
Some fabulous Verve stamps helped create this cute cupcake card.
Carpe Cupcake and Making a Sentiment.
Tonight all the little trick or treat peeps will be roaming the neighbourhoods. I hope to get quite a few as we do NOT need any leftover candy....lol
Be safe!
Have a great day!

Fight Like a Girl

Hello!
Yesterday was go go go!
I managed to only complete one card. So unusual!
This one was started before dinner and then finished afterward.
The layout comes from the MFT Sketch #43 again. It's a great sketch, eh?
Just this past week I received my latest MFT order in the mail and was anxious to get this sweet image inky.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Snow Day MFT sketch #43

Good Saturday Morning!

I noticed on Facebook yesterday that several of my friends in the Eastern US got snow!
hehe....not us...yet ;)
We almost always have some snow before Halloween BUT this will be the second year in a row that I we haven't....yippee!

Gosh, I really must get busy stock piling my holiday cards. I have a lot to give out this year!
So here's another Pure Innocence one.
I've used the fun MFT sketch #43 for my layout.
We are off to Costco this morning and then home to carve pumpkins!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

It's Pink - HYCCT1128

Hello :)

Last week Jami emailed asking if I'd be interested in make a sample for her challenge that she was hosting for a Hope You Can Cling To Challenge on SCS.
Of course I jumped onboard right away!

Jami's challenge was to create a holiday/winter/Christmas card with any shade of pink!
If you play along and upload to SCS please be sure to use keyword HYCCT1128

I love making non-traditional holiday cards and decided to make two.
My first card uses a new A la Carte from Taylored Expressions called Snow.
Stamps: Snow A la Carte; Cardstock: White, Intense Prism Pink, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Scalloped Edge, Copics, Glitter, Snowflake Punch, White Sparkly Candy Dot, Dimensionals
My second card is a pretty quick and simple one with no stamping but I was able to use one of my new Taylored Expressions Dies called Trim The Tree. It's pretty in pink isn't it?!
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, White, Echo Park DP; Accessories: Trim The Tree Die, Sewing Machine, Buttons, Twine, Dimensionals, Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges!

Congratulations Are In Order

Happy last day of work this week....for me! Yeah!
Gosh for a short week it sure has felt extra long.

Last night I made a quick card for the SCS sketch challenge.
Since my MFT package had just arrived I really wanted to use the Contempo Birdcage that I had ordered.
I ended up using some of the MFT felt for the birds. I think it turned out really cute ;)
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great Thursday!
