California here we come!

I've been so busy the last few days I haven't had any time to even THINK about stampin'! So sad eh? Well don't feel sorry for me...LOL...we are heading on another family vacation!
Tomorrow we leave for Idaho Falls for a couple of days and will meet up with a friend and her family. Monday morning we leave for Las Vegas for two days and to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Brian! July 4th we drive to Anaheim and will stay for 6 nights. Our drive back is not yet planned. We will drive up the west coast back to Canada. Just go with the flow....

I will however be busy on my laptop in the hotel room....placing my SU! order on July 1st!! Sure wish we had the expedited option here in Canada :(

I'll try and post some pics of our holiday if I can!

Can't wait to get SHOPPING!! Hoping to find some great deals!

Have a GREAT Canada Day to all my Canadian friends! Happy 4th to all my American friends!

Cards for the kids...

Here are a couple more of my scrap cards. Chloe wanted a few cards to give to her friends at the end of the school year. I ended up making 10 total but will just load a couple of them. I had some Sarah Paper in a pile there on my table and used some odds and ends to put these cards together. I don't usually use WW for a cardbase as it's kind of flimsy...but it works for the kids! haha!
Thank goodness tomorrow is the LAST day of school here. I still am at the school Friday morning helping with the Teacher Appreciation Lunch that we(Parents Association) put on for them each year.
I still have a few things to do around here before we leave for holidays. Not sure when I'll get them all done AND have time to stamp...but I'll work something out! I always do!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited!! Today my demo copy AND my pre-ordered case arrived! The case came by expedited parcel Canada Post! Thank goodness I was at the dollar store this morning buying some of those coloured little post it notes to stick on the pages!!!
OK off to start diggin'in.....

Thanks So Much!

Ohhhhhhhh how I can't wait for this week to end! Only three more days of school!! Today is Chloe's class party and I'm sure most of the kids will be giving Miss M. their gifts. I had Chloe's all ready to go except a card. She REALLY wanted me to make a PIG card as her teacher collects them(not something she started...long story) but I told Chloe why don't we make a monkey card as it's YOUR favourite! She picked the colours. Think she did well, don't you?!

Saturday Challenge

This weekend Jen at i{heart}2stamp had another challenge! I love doing these! Be sure to check out Jen's blog. She does FANTASTIC work there! Thanks Jen for the challenge. I used something I haven't used since around Christmas time....microbeads! Not sure if you could see the microbeads in the full card pic so I zoomed in a bit for the center.
This card measures 5.25 x 5.25.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Much Appreciated and Anita's Flower Stamp
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Watercolour Paper and POP
Inks: WWC in Green Galore, Rose Red and Barely Banana, also used Black Stazon
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Versamark, Heat and Stick Powder and Microbeads, Aquapainter

Quickie Photo Book

I know I should have been getting things ready for our holidays next weekend BUT I had to make something today! I've been itchin' to use the BIA again so thought I'd cut up some cereal boxes and make a little photo album. This took all of about 20 minutes to make. I know I didn't add to many embellishments but stuff can be added AFTER the pictures right? I tried to add a piece of cardstock on each page so something can always be written with a pen. There is enough room for about 6 pictures. This measures 4 x 6.

Colour Challenge 119 NO Celery!

Wow my second post in one day! LOL!

I had some spare time this afternoon while Chloe was still at school so I thought I'd try and get a card done for todays CC119 on SCS. I feel I need to explain this card a bit as it's a little OFF...

The stamp I used is from Inkadinkado and it is REALLY pretty except for the BEETLE on the right hand side. Something about that bug just gives me the willies! So I HAD to cover it up with the saying. I had already cut and 3D the other butterfly when I made that sentiment square. It looks a little funny in the corner like that but if I raised it up a bit the beetle would POP out from underneath. Gross! LOL

Anyway, I've stuck it all together now and I'll have to live with it.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Inkadinkado, Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Happy Harmony
Cardstock: Real Red, Creamy Caramel and Barely Banana
Inks: Same as above
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch and Misc Ribbon and Popdots

A sweet challenge

Both of these cards were made for Jen's Challenge on i{heart}2stamp! She had both a layout and a colour challenge for us this weekend! My speed...LOL Since I'm not always good at coming up with layouts and colours on my own.
The first card was made with the new Zoofari set I got this week! So cute eh?! My sewing on the other hand is something to be desired on this card. The second card is made with one of my all time favourite flower sets, Simply Said. Both of these cards measure 4.25 x 4.25. I haven't made many cards this size before but will more often now. Thanks Jen!

Bind It All Phonebook

Finally! Found a reason to pull out my Bind-It-All!! I HAD to have it you know, but then it sat there...LOL! Chloe has a friend who is moving to North Carolina next month. He's been asking for everyone's addresses at school. Thought he could use this little book to put his friend's addresses and phone numbers in. I included email too, thinking that there could be parents that want to keep in touch as well! I made up the inside pages on the computer and printed them off. I did the pages in Chocolate Chip and Real Red. Rounded the corners to match the coaster covers. Boy that machine is cool to use! Can't wait to make another project with the BIA.

Never Bored With Chipboard...

This card was made with the help of Chloe. She wanted or should I say demanded we make something with circles! LOL! Since I had no circle chipboard left we decided to use a heart shape. She seemed happy with that. This was made for the WT116 Challenge on SCS. I hate pulling out my chipboard. Not because I don't like to work with it but it's sad when it's gone! I have quite a big stash but it's really never enough for me. I want to get this card out in the mail to someone tomorrow so I thought I best snap a pic and get it posted before I do that. This card measures 5.25 x 5.25
Supplies Used All by Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Simple Sayings II and That's Nice
Cardstock: Almost Amythest, Elegant Eggplant and POP
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Ribbon, Punches and Chipboard from Stampin'Up! and Crop-a-dile for the ribbon holes

Much Appreciated!

Ok so I took the layout for this card from the cover of the preview catty. My new supplies have yet to arrive...ugh...sometime next week for me!
I needed to make a thank you card of some sort for one of the teachers at school. I'm REALLY hoping that she will be Chloe's teacher for grade 3 next year. This teacher is FANTASTIC in math and that is where Chloe is struggling at the moment. She's learning to count money. She can SPEND it no problem but counting is another story...LOL. Anyway, this teacher today saw Chloe sitting in the library early this morning working on some math before school, so she stopped by to see what she was doing. When she saw that Chloe was struggling with it, she sat with her for almost 30 minutes helping her!! Then later that morning while I was doing some work at school she came by and gave me some cards and explained a couple of games to play with Chloe. I was so excited I could have just hugged her!!! I work in a school and I can tell you I don't see that kind of stuff very often anymore. Three things really impressed me. One, she isn't even Chloe's teacher. Two, she doesn't teach grade 2 math but helped. Three, it was her day off but was there to do a couple of prep things and leave. Oh and a fourth...LOL...she gave me that game and ideas to help my daughter!!!
I sure hope she likes this card because I enjoyed making it for her!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Office Accoutrement and Much Appreciated
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White and Petals and Paisley DP
Inks: Pale Plum, Perfect Plum(marker) and Chocolate Chip
