Puddle Jumper Emma MTSC106

Tonight I am recovering from an all day headache and what better way to cure it....than stamping!?! Right?!
Mercy has posted her last sketch and I said I would play along.
I love this sweet Puddle Jumper Emma image that I picked up from ATS a couple of months ago.
I liked that the sketch was fairly simple. This card took about 15 minutes to make.
I have a FOUR day weekend! Yahoo!
Friday night Karen and I are going to the Calgary Flames vs the Colorado Avalanche hockey game. Then home to celebrate the New Year with Brian and Chloe!
I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2011!

Celebrate MFT

Happy Wednesday!
This week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge is to celebrate the New Year with your best party card.
I don't have any real party images except this Birthday Princess but I figured she'd work :)
Some special details about this card...
I added some Stardust Stickles to her crown, some Espresso Dimensional Pearls to the icing on the cake and some Pink Smooch on her shoes. Fun eh?
This week Kim is making a special announcement on the MFT blog and it's a good one!
You'll want to check it out for sure!
Remember as always....
If you play along and upload to the SCS gallery please use keyword MFTWSC12292010 so we can see your creations!

Elegant Upsy Daisy

On Christmas Day I had some free time while everyone in the house was busy doing their own things to create a card for the Featured Stamper on SCS.
I chose to case LeisaJane's card HERE.
I was going to stitch all the layers as she had done but ran out of thread on the bobbin and well....I was too lazy to fill another on up....lol
Stamps: Upsy Daisy; Cardstock: Kraft, Choc Chip, Red, White; Inks: Choc Chip; Accessories: Embossing Folder, Sewing, Martha Butterfly Punch, Ribbons, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Dimensionals

Merry Christmas!

I hope today you are enjoying the day with your loved ones!

We will be kicking back, relaxing, playing games, watching some movies and eating turkey! YUM!

Yesterday I made a quick card for the Free For All Challenge on SCS and also Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday.
I can't recall the name of this designer paper but it was a favourite of mine from SU!
Enjoy the Moment is a set I haven't used in a long time either....fun!
This is a Stampin' Up! only card.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Beautiful Butterfly

One more sleep until Christmas!
Today we are just lounging around the house playing games and maybe a little stamping.
We are having spiral honey ham for dinner tonight...YUM!
Yesterday before I started cleaning the house I decided I'd do a little crafting...fun times!
Thursday's Ways to Use It Challenge was about popping it up. I also used Wednesday's sketch 312.
This is a Stampin' Up Only card.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your Christmas Eve!

It's a Die-Namic Day!

Yes it is!
First of all it's my birthday and I've been totally spoiled this year! Being surrounded by family and friends has been wonderful!
Secondly, it's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Day!
In case you haven't noticed, I'm on a bit of a sunshine kick :)
This week we are getting Die-Namic! ;)
Create a card or project where die-namics take the spotlight.
Here is what I created with some fun die-namics and MFT felt.
In hindsight, I should have used the MFT Fresh Cut Grass die-namics :( Bummer!
Oh well, I think it still turned out cute with the Sunshine, Sheltering Tree and Flower Border.
On the inside I used the Textile Rectangle and Stamp Set.
Stamps: Textile Rectangle and Stamp Set; Cardstock: White, Prism Yellow, MME dp; Inks: Old Olive, Black; Accessories: Die-namics, Felt, Sewing Machine, Felt, Dimensionals
We hope you'll play along for your chance to win a MFT gift certificate!
Upload to SCS using keyword MFTWSC12222010 and I'll be sure to stop by!
Hope you have a FANTASTIC Wednesday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Fun in the Sun

I wish I was having some fun in the sun! LOL!
It is sunny here in Calgary but it's certainly not fun....with snow :)
They are saying it should be 5C or 40F on Christmas day! Yahoo! We aren't traveling this year so it doesn't matter too much but it will be nice for Chloe to go out sledding or using some of her new Christmas goodies ;)
Julee totally capped off my awesome weekend with her mojo-licious winners last week. I was one of them!!! Very cool!
This week she had another great sketch posted since I'm still on this bright colour kick, this is what I threw together. Pretty quick and easy!
Stamps: Verve Relax; Cardstock: White, Red, Yellow, October Afternoon DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Cork, MFT Sunshine Die-namics, Ribbon, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Stickles, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Sunshine

Even though I had a super busy weekend with birthday celebrations and holiday stamping, I still managed to whip up a non-holiday card!
In my last MFT order I received the Textile Rectangle and Stamp Set. LOVE this die cut shape!
Fabulous sentiments in this set too! The sun was created with some MFT felt and the Die-namics Sunshine.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT day!

Treat Boxes

Today I spent the day stamping with Karen! So much fun to craft with someone!
I think we were at it for about 4 or 5 hours! Fun times!!!
We picked up some Icy Squares at the store yesterday and decided to use the Acetate Box tutorial on SCS to package them. Here are a few that we created....

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Forgotten Stamp Friday - Beary Special

Well it looks to be another busy weekend! Love it though!
Today Karen is treating me to a hair appointment and then dinner at the Japanese Village for my birthday! Since my birthday is mid-week and only three days before Christmas we decided to celebrate today instead.
Last night I had intended on doing laundry but Brian said I should go stamp and he'll take care of laundry while I'm at the salon. Who's to argue with that?! ha!
Jessie has her Forgotten Stamp Friday FSF02 in full swing and I'm really enjoying playing along!
Do you have a stamp you haven't used in MONTHS? If so, join the fun and upload your card to SCS!
I pulled out one of my old favourites from Taylored Expressions called Beary Special.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoy your weekend!

I don't know about you but I'm soooooooo happy it's Friday!
My MFT order arrived last night but I was too busy to get inky :(
I plan on stamping tonight for sure!!!
The card below was made with the stamps that Denise sent me for my birthday!
Isn't Sparky cute?
She knows my love for snowmen...haha!
I used Mercy's sketch from this week for my layout too.

Good Friends

Are you ready for spring yet? I am! LOL!
These bright and happy colours make me wish that winter was long gone and the flowers were in bloom.
I had forgotten about this Cosmo Cricket dp. It's so fun!
PTI's All Booked Up has not been used in a long time either. My intentions were to make a bookmark but ran short of time so I whipped it into a card instead.
Speaking of GOOD friends...
Look what Denise sent me! She not only sent me a Christmas card she remembered that my birthday is coming up too! So sweet of her! Tomorrow I'll show you a card I made using some stamps she sent me too! FUN!
Aren't her cards adorable??? Her colouring is AMAZING!
Thanks girl!
Thanks for stopping by today! I really enjoy reading your comments!
Have a WONDERFUL Thursday!

Pure Innocence Christmas

Can you believe it? Only a week and a half until Christmas!
I can't wait! Although I'm not quite ready and in fact am behind in mailing out my cards this year! Yikes!
Luckily this week the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge is to create those last minute Christmas cards using a Pure Innocence stamp. Easy peasy eh?
My first card uses some older SU! paper I found in my stash! Yippee! Loved this stuff!
The Pure Innocence Flurry of Love was stamped in Memento onto cream cardstock and coloured with copics. A little bit of stickles were added to the snow. A snowflake was created using the MFT Die-namics Let It Snowflake.
My next card uses the super duper cute Pure Innocence Snow Day. I coloured her in some bright colours to match the fun designer paper! Again a little bit of stickles were used on the snow and snowballs. This time I used some MFT felt to cut the snowflake.
The layout for this card comes from the Mojo#169.
Stop by the MFT blog sometime after 11 am Eastern today and see who all is playing along!
We hope that you will join us in the challenge and upload your card to the gallery at SCS and use keyword MFTWSC12152010. I'll be sure to check out your card or project!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT Wednesday!

Cheep Talk

I remember when this stamp set first came out from Stampin' Up and I used it over and over and over....lol
Well it was time to pull it out again! This time instead of using bold colours as I always did in the past I went with some soft pretty colours from the MME Tickled Pink designer papers.
Pretty simple design too.
Stamps: Cheep Talk; Cardstock: Kraft, Pink Pirouette, White, MME Tickled Pink DP; Inks: Celery, Pirouette, Choc chip, Pumpkin Pie; Accessories: Ribbon, Ribbon Die, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Rhinestones, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Scarlett Teacup

Last week Jessie posted something on her blog about forgotten stamps. She decided to start a Friday feature called Forgotten Stamp Friday. While sorting through my baskets on my shelf I found some old Stamping Bella cuties. This one is called Scarlett Teacup! Cute eh?
The layout comes from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #96 yesterday.
It's back to work today...blech! I hope that I make out okay with my foot today. It's feeling a lot better but standing and walking on it all day might be a problem :(
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Monday!

Let's Hang Out

Here's a fun card I made while Karen was over making her Christmas cards. I'm so glad she finally stamped with me! Usually she works on her laptop while craft. Maybe I'll try and sneak in a couple of her cards on my blog when she's not looking ;)
I pulled out a fun set called Hangin' Out by Taylored Expressions.
Tried doing some unusual things with this card. Not sure I like how it turned out but it was fun to make...ha!
Today I am spending the day resting my foot. I fell down the stairs on Friday evening...I know....clumsy! Maybe I can stamp some more!! Fun!

Peace on Earth

I've been seeing so many of these cool wreath cards out there in blogland and on SCS I had to finally try one. Pretty simple card but by adding some little rhinestones it dressed it up a bit. The wreath was made using an EK Success punch that I HAD to have because Jody Morrow made a tree with it one day....lol
The sentiment came from a MFT set I got free with a purchase a couple of months ago.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Day SC310

Last night I hadn't planned on stamping as I have enough to get done around the house....like address my Christmas cards ;)
That's how it began....
Went to the basement to gather some cards and envelopes and the next thing I knew....
I was crafting! That's my story ;)
This was for yesterday's SC310 on SCS.
Snow Day is such an adorable image from MFT!! I used some unusual papers for my card but I think it turned out fun!!
Stamps: Snow Day; Cardstock: Cream, Prism Pink and Blue, MME Tickled Pink; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Mat pack and Paper piercer, Martha Snowflake Punch, Dimensionals
Have a WONDERFUL Thursday!

Let it Snow MFT Wednesday Challenge

Hooray!
We've made it half way through the week which means it's time for another MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge. This week we are thinking Winter Wonderlands.
I don't have to think about winter....we are smack in the middle of it here...ha!
I admit that I'd much rather look at the pretty snow on a card than the stuff on my grass ;)
Here I've used the adorable PI girl Flurry of Love along with the sentiment from Snowflake Flopsey.
My layout comes from the Mojo168.
I stamped the image on cream cardstock and coloured with copics. A few silver pearls, vellum snowflake, ribbon and glitter were added to finish off my card.
Stop by the MFT forum on SCS to find out all the details for this challenge. Upload your card to the SCS gallery using keyword MFTWSC12092010 for your chance to win a gift certificate to the MFT store!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a GREAT day!

Beautiful Things

Yesterday while I was waiting for the stickles to dry on my last card, I worked on this one :) It's a quick an easy card using Karen's SSSC#95. The sentiment comes from a Taylored Expressions set and uses some old Stampin' Up papers.
Clean and crisp!
We are officially ready for Christmas at our house! All decorations are up both inside and out!!! Ok well I'm not done shopping but we LOOK like we're ready...ha!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great start to the week!!

You're One of a Kind....Denise :)

Today's Featured Stamper 200 on SCS was all about casing someone from the past!
I immediately ran to Denise's gallery. Her work is amazing!
She's a HUGE Penny Black fan so I knew right away that I wanted to case her card HERE using a PB stamp. She has an incredible talent for colouring ever so lightly...I'm envious!
Here is my card...
Stamps: Penny Black, MFT Snowflake Flopsey(sentiment); Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, MME dp; Inks: Memento black; Accessories: Copics, Nestie, MFT snowflake Die, MFT note book edge die, Rhinestones, Ribbons, Buttons, Thread, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Sunday!

Happy Birthday Princess!

Happy Weekend!!!
ahhhhhhhhhh I love weekends!!!
Here is another card I made using Mercy's MTSC102 sketch a couple of days ago. I have had this designer paper in my stash for quite some time and thought it went really well with this sweet image I ordered from MFT a while back. You're in luck too because Birthday Princess is in stock!
It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend and I hope we can get our Christmas lights hung outdoors. Can't believe it's only three weeks until Christmas!!!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Winter Skater

As I was sorting through some baskets of stamps last night, I thought it would be fun to use some of my older goodies. This image was one from my days on the All That Scraps design team. I can't recall the image name and it may be retired now since I can't find it in the store....sorry! It's a SugarPlum though ;)
All That Scraps does a challenge each week and I took a peek to see what it was....snowflakes! yeah!
The layout comes from Mercy's MTSC102.
Thank for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Chill Out!

The Splitcoast sketch #309 yesterday was perfect for me to ink up my new MFT Snow Angel image. She's sweet, isn't she? I really like these patterns and colours in the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper pack. The blue and red is a nice combo!
I added some little red pearls to her hat and some dazzling diamonds to all the snow.
Stamps: Snow Angel; Cardstock: Real Red, Aqua Mist, Cream, CC Mitten Weather DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Heidi Swapp Ghost Snowflake, Oval Punches, Word Window Punch, 2 way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals

Funny Bunny SC308

Earlier this week I received a few packages that contained some new stamps! Yeah for new stamps, right?
This one is from The Cat's Pajama's that I ordered from All That Scraps. It's called Deep Breath.
I stamped him on white cardstock and coloured with copics to match my Aqua Mist and Lavender Lace cardstock. I found a piece of Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather designer paper that went well with it. It looks a little more green in the picture....not sure why...lol
The sketch comes from Wednesday's SCS SC308.
It's FRIDAY! I'm looking forward to the weekend!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing You All The Wonder

Here is another quick card I made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from last Sunday.

Stamp: SU!; Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, White, MME DP; Inks: Bravo Burgundy; Accessories: Nesties, Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanksgiving has long past here in Canada so I went a different direction.
I'm thankful for my best friend and the Macbook she gave me last weekend!
I haven't given her a thank you card yet so here it is :)

I'm so excited to be posting from my new Macbook Pro!!!
My best friend spoils me way too much! Thank you Karen!
She came by on Saturday and surprised me with it. Then she helped me set up my craft area....lol She was tired of seeing a mess down there I guess ;)
Sunday afternoon I stamped a bit while watching the last Nascar race of the season :(
I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch for my layout.
The image comes from last season's All That Scraps CC Designs set called Winter Bear(I think).
