Happy Birthday DS91

Happy Deconstructed Sketch Day!

Are you ready for another fun one?
This week I was in need of a birthday card for a co-worker.
Since it's someone that lives in BC I needed to mail it so I kept this fairly flat.
I used some MFT dies and a PTI sentiment from Birthday Basics.
A little stitching and a few rhinestones finish it off.

Be sure to stop by Jen's blog and play along too :)

How about stopping by the Deconstructed Sketch Girls and give them some love :)

Given Enough Caffeine...

Happy Wednesday!

I've really been on a blue kick lately. I love all shades of blue and when I saw the Dynamic Duo Challenge #41 of Island Indigo and Pool Party I knew I wanted to play along!
I combined it with the Paper Players Challenge #134 of a sketch.
Using one of the sentiment stamps and some versamark I created a quick little background. The cup was stamped and coloured with copics then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Pink Floral

Happy Tuesday!

This card represents the Spring weather we are expecting this coming weekend!
Double digits...12 Celcius of course....lol
In the 50's for those of you in the States ;)
But for today....it's snowy...blah!

I created this card on Sunday evening while catching up on all the shows I had on the PVR from last week. Gosh I didn't realize how many shows I tape each week until it comes time to watch them all.
That's normally what I do in my stamp room.
I like to watch...
Hawaii 5-0, Bones, NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, Vegas, Dallas, Chicago Fire, Elementary, The Good Wife, Survivor plus all the Oiler games and now Nascar :)
Do you have any must watch shows?
Stamps: Verve's Dream Big
Paper: White, Regal Rose

Colour Washing

Hello :)

Early yesterday morning I started stamping and then stopped once the Daytona 500 started.
I squeezed in a few cards for the Featured Stamper 381.
These next couple were cased from Andrea's inspiration here.
This first one I used some Distressed Inks and a paint brush/water.
I swiped the inks across the watercolour paper and then used a wet paint brush to move the inks around.
The stamps are from Verve's Because of You.

Stamps: Because of You
Paper: White, Black, SU watercolour paper
Ink: Black, Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick
Accessories: Paintbrush, Water, Dimensionals
This next one is a SU! only card where I used SU! ink and a paint brush/water.
I first wet the watercolour paper with a wet paint brush and then picked up some of the inks from the lids.
Stamps: Field Flowers, Serene Silhouettes
Paper: White, Black, SU watercolour paper
Ink: Black, Pink Pirouette, Cool Caribbean, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Paintbrush, Water, Dimensionals

Life Happens...

Good morning,
The weather here has been pretty good and I finally decided to take the Camaro out for a little drive Saturday morning....fun! It was a blast!!
Then I came home to stamp!
Here is a card I created for the Lovefest that is happening over at SCS.
Verve was the hostess yesterday. I love me some Verve goodness!
You were to make a card using Brown, Aqua and Yellow.
Stamps: Better With You
Paper: White, Yellow, Aqua
Ink: Choc chip, Versamark, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Copics, scallop die, choc seam binding, yellow button, aqua twine, Sewing, dimensionals
So today is the Daytona 500 :)
Or at least I think so.
As I write up this post there had been a bad accident in the Nationwide race Saturday.
Drivers all walked away but some fans weren't so lucky.
The catch fence did it's job for the most part but with parts of cars, engines included, making their way through the fence there were bound to be injuries unfortunately.
Over the years we have sat FRONT row several times and I've always LOVED it.
Now I'm rethinking that decision the next time we go to a race.
You just never know.
I hope all those that were in the stands will be okay!
If the race does go ahead today....
You'll surely hear me yelling Go Gordon Go!

Kind Words - DS90

Hello :)

Today I'm heading out of town for the next couple of days on a business trip.
Hoping this is the last time I have to fly in that little puddle jumper plane to Cranbrook, BC.
Oh my how I dislike that little thing!
It shakes, rattles and SO loud.
Next month I am unable to go but in April we should be able to drive! Yeah!
Love the beautiful drive through the mountains. Can't wait until summer when I'll take the Camaro for a little cruise on those curvy roads! Fun times!

Ok you didn't come to hear about my plans....lol

This week Jen has a fabulous sketch that you can layer up and maybe use up some scraps of designer papers.
That's what I did ;)
As you can see I followed the sketch...exactly.
I'm that type of stamper....lol
Verve's Kind Words stamp set and some Teresa Collins Telly Your Story designer papers were used.
Be sure to stop by Jen's blog and play along too :)

I Cherish Our Friendship

Hello :)

Even though it's a long weekend I am staying put!
No real plans to do anything at all.
LOVE that!

Tonight I'll be planted in front of the big screen tv in the bonus room(somewhere I rarely watch tv) because Nascar is BACK!

I'm still cleaning and organizing too. Does it ever end? LOL!

This card was created using the Seize The Birthday Challenge.
