Enjoy The Celebration of You!

Hello!
I feel like it's been forever since I posted! LOL! I always write up my blog posts in advance each weekend. It's a good thing too because I've been super busy lately.

School is officially out for summer now. Hopefully things will slow down just a little!!
It's Canada weekend here so I'm off until Tuesday!!! Yippee!

Today we shopped, cleaned the car, enjoyed the beautiful weather AND stamped!!
I created the card above using the Freshly Made Sketch #92.

Smile, everything is going to be okay

That sentiment is one I've heard a great deal over the past week with all the tragedy here in Calgary. Mostly I've heard it from those that were directly hit by the floods. Positive attitudes about either fixing/cleaning up or starting over and how thankful that everyone in their family was okay.

The layout comes from the MFT sketch #129.
Can't recall the name of the sentiment set as it has no label on it. Sorry!

Thanks for stopping by today!

May Every Part of Your Day Have Happy In It

Hello :)

Well Calgary is cleaning up from the flood of 2013 and as a family that had no destruction we want to be able to help those that have. So today we'll gather supplies that are needed and drop them off at one of the relief centers.
School has been cancelled again today and could be for the rest of the week(remainder of school year).
Thank you to everyone that sent me a message/email asking if we are okay :)

Yesterday morning while I had a little time I sat down in my craft room to play along with the Featured Stamper #333 Tina. I chose to case her card here.
I still had the MFT Sunflower dies on my desk from the other day and when I saw Tina's card I thought it would be perfect to case. Sentiment is from MFT too....sorry I can't recall the sentiment set name.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a Great Day

The past couple of days have been really crazy around our house.
We had a leak in our vent into the upstairs master bath, storms and flooding like crazy and my parents arrived from Ontario.
So today was the first day I've stamped in a week!
To get my mojo started I hopped over to the Freshly Made Sketch blog to see what they had for us.
Love this CAS sketch!
I pulled out the fabulous MFT Sunflower Dies and some cardstock.
No designer paper again!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, it's me...

Here's a pretty clean and simple card with NO designer paper! I stamped the sweet PI girl and coloured with copics. Adding a little texture to her jeans with a piece of canvas and blender solution. Using the MFT Darling Dots I stamped a little background with SU! craft white. My Janome mini has been giving me fits lately. I changed the needle and it worked okay for a few days. Now I think it's likely that cheap thread I bought....lol It keeps breaking. So I had to forego the sewing and paper pierced instead. The Seeing Spots embossing folder is probably my all time favourite!
Sketch is from MFT #128.

Stamps: Darling Dots, Heart Stripes, Being Cute is What I DoPaper: White, Kraft, BlueberryInk: White Craft, Memento BlackAccessories: Copics, Seeing Spots EF, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Mini File Tabs, Dimesionals

Happy Birthday - Challenge card

I just love these poppies from MFT!
When I saw the Freshly Made Sketch #90 last week I knew this open space would be wonderful for them!
Since my time has been really limited lately I combined it with the Dynamic Duos Challenge #57 of Pear Pizzazz and Black.
In all honesty, I had no idea if black poppies existed so I had to research ;)
Really though, does it matter? LOL!
In the end, I think the card came out very nice. It's striking, isn't it? Those colours and bold flowers. Dramatic.

Stamps: Pretty PoppiesPaper: White, Black, Pear PizzazzInk: Black, Pear PizzazzAccessories: Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, MFT fishtail banner dies, dimensionals, Stickles

I Like You 'n Sunny Days Challenge Card

Sunday found me having some quiet time late in the day and it was SO nice after the go go go weekend that we had. Now my intention was to clean my craft room before my parents arrive on Wednesday but as always I got side tracked! Does that happen to any of you?
I came across these fun circle bling and remembered that the Paper Players had a challenge going on that called for a CAS card - Bling It On!
Perfect! I knew these would be fun for a flower center but once again...got side tracked ;)
Since I was already way off track by not cleaning I decided to run down and grab my laptop and get crafting!
Combining the Paper Players CAS #150 - Bling It On and also the CAS(E) This Sketch #32 I came up with this bright and fun card using I Like You from Reverse Confetti.
Stamps: I Like YouPaper: White, Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Wisteria WonderInk: BlackAccessories: Sun Die, Rhinestone, Dimensionals

This worked wonderfully for using up scraps from my bin! Look how nicely the sentiment stamps. Love that font!

Happy Birthday

Wow did we have a smokin' busy weekend!
I don't think I stopped until after dinner each evening. Not that I'm complaining as we finally got a lot accomplished around here :)
We grocery shopped at our local grocer, then headed to Costco, mowed the lawns, washed the cars/truck, moved beds around(in preparation for my parents arrival mid-week), cleaned the entire house, did 7 loads of laundry, baked chocolate chip cookies for Chloe to take to her Kindergarten class she helps in....oh and Brian was able to get all my photos off of my HP computer that crashed! Those guys at the computer store were SO helpful!
So excited to have things from 2006 to 2010 again!
After all that I did manage to make several cards :)
The one above was created for the Freshly Made Sketch.
I used purple! It's a colour I hardly dig out. It's so striking here, don't you agree?
Stamps are from PTI's Botanical Silhouettes and Birthday Basics.

Give It A Whirl!

Hello Friday!
So much to do over the next couple of days. Maybe we should have worked a little harder last weekend?! LOL!
Oh well, we'll get it done!
I'll definitely find some time to get in my stamp room as it is in desperate need of a tidy up!

This fun card was created for last week's MFT sketch #127.
When I hit the LSS last weekend I picked up this fabulous new Echo Park Paper Pad called Here & Now. I love the blues and patterns through it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I Like You 'n Sunny Days - DS105

Happy Thursday!
Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
I was loving all the layers and mixing pattern papers. Always fun to do. As much as I love CAS cards these days, I have to think too much. Anyone else have that problem?
Here I've used a fun sentiment set from Reverse Confetti called I Like You

Bright, eh? I love it! We've had so much rain these past few weeks that I'm itchin' for a stretch of sunny days!
(probably my fault for complaining that we'd had none and my grass looked ghetto)
Have you ordered some new stamps from Reverse Confetti? If so, you should be linking your creations up on the RC Blog for your chance to be a 'Fetti Find!

You're Loads of Fun

I was really excited to see that this card made one of the top picks for the Freshly Made Sketch last week!
They always have wonderful clean sketches and it's one I try not to miss each week :)
Think that was two weeks in a row one of my cards was chosen....makes me smile!
Thank you FMS ladies!
Sorry so short but I'm doing this on the fly running out the door for another early start!
Have a great day!

Thank You - Mojo296

Good Morning!
Last weekend I picked up these new Echo Park Here & Now papers at my LSS and couldn't wait to cut into them!
I'm not a hoarder of paper just obsessed with buying new papers to use. They never go to waste at my house...lol
Although there are always a few sheets in each pack that never get used. Suppose when they create a paper pad they can't please everyone ;)

Anyway, I decided to use them on this Mojo296 card that I created. Bright and happy for a thank you.
Stamp set is from Verve's Dream Big.

The next two days I am in some training for work. Sitting in a classroom setting all day long isn't really my cup of tea but it's required so I'll do it ;)
Maybe because I'm not running around all day I will have some stampy energy tonight!
Keep your fingers crossed!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

Hi

Wow did the weekend go by fast or what?!
We had a HUGE to-do list and only a fraction of it was even touched :(
Looks like next weekend I'll be running around like crazy! Oh well!

I was lucky enough to find a little bit of crafty time though!! Always a good thing :)

Every weekend I look forward to the Dynamic Duos Challenge. I'll admit that this week I was a little bummed, at first, to see the colours. Soft Suede! Really? I can almost guarantee that it's my LEAST favourite SU! colour. EVER. I think it looks like something that ryhmes with boo....
So what's a girl to do? Use it in SMALL doses....haha!
The DD #56 was Blushing Bride and Soft Suede.
For the first time I played along with the CAS(E) This Sketch #31 as well.

Supplies used:
Paper: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, KraftAccessories: MFT royal roses die, MFT flourish die, MFT fishtail banner dies, MFT By The Letters Dies, Spots and Dots Embossing Folder, Sewing, Hot glue

Thanks for stopping by today!
