Nothing But Blue Skies Ahead - FMS133

It felt great to get a little creative today!
Over a week since I've gotten inky and I think I was a little rusty....lol
A great starting point is always the Freshly Made Sketch!
While we were on vacation my MFT order finally arrived. Yeah!

I was able to use the Cloud Cover Up Die along with a sentiment from the CS-Blue Skies Ahead.
Thanks for stopping by!

Miss You - MFTWSC172

Hello!!

Here is one last card I made before hitting the road!
Hoping that when I return from vacation I have the latest MFT release waiting for me. Normally it arrives within a day or two of ordering but this time it was well over a week and a half before I left and nothing :(
Very disappointing.

Here's hoping that today we are enjoying some beautiful California weather!
I've needed this vacation so much....haha!

This is another card I created last week for the Freshly Made Sketch you see below:
As you can see I am loving YELLOW right now. Must be that spring is in the air!

Hello Friend - DS147

Good Morning!
Why is it that the week before vacation always feels like one of the longest of the year?! LOL!

Yesterday before heading into work the late shift I was able to stamp a little...yeah!

Jen's newest sketch:
I sponged some Daffodil Delight onto white cardstock using a stencil. Decided on a few different dies to create a little scene and viola!
Nice and quick CAS card :)

Miss You - Sweet Sunday Sketch #215

The card below was created using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and a sweet PI that I ordered from MFT last month.
I ordered on Tuesday night but the newest release did not arrive yet :(
Bummer too since I pay a lot for shipping.
I expect faster service....especially since I had the weekend off and it would have been nice to create with new goodies.

Miss You

Today was BEAUTIFUL outside!
Sunny shine and blue skies!
SPRING!

Here's a card I created last week with the Lily Die I received from MFT last month. First chance I've had to play with it.
I used more of that modelling paste along with some re-inkers to create a nice bright background!

You Are Capable of Wonderful Things

Happy Weekend!

Spring SEEMS like it's here in Lethbridge! I can't complain because we've had a fantastic winter really. Snow rarely stayed longer than a few days and this week we are expecting the temps to be in the 70's!

Brian stopped at the craft store in Calgary and picked me up a bunch of new supplies so I could give this Mixed Media a little more of a go. As much as I love trying new things....patience making a card is not one of my best qualities. I typically like to spend less than 30 minutes on one card. With the drying time between applications on the card below I managed to do a LOT of work around the house....lol

Jackie shared a tutorial on SCS on Layered Gesso Backgrounds. I mostly followed it ;)
Stamps: Chalkboard Greetings Too, Pretty PoppiesPaper: White, Black,LemonInk: Black VersafineAccessories: Gesso, Modelling Paste, Sponges, Martha Stewart Acrylic Paint in Couscous, Glitter, Heidi Swapp Stencil, Circle Nesties, MFT Royal Roses Die, MFT Flourish Die, Dimensionals

You're A Life Saver - MFT Sketch #169

Hello :)

Since I still had the Go Overboard stamp and dies on my desk I decided to use them again for the MFT sketch #169 this week.
I created the card below for one of my assistant store managers. She's always there covering for me and seems that when something big happens it's on her shift....lol

You Keep Me Anchored - FMS129

Today I ended up spending most of the day at work. It would be okay if it wasn't my day off....lol
We are in the middle of a huge renovation and I want to be there as often as I can to keep in the loop! Things change SO fast in only a few short hours....

Freshly Made Sketches posted their new sketch today!
I had a piece of yellow cardstock on my table and really wanted to use it. This might be a little of an unusual colour combo for a nautical card but who says I have to use the usual?
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friend

Hello :)

We are trying to plan a family vacation for after Easter but we can't seem to agree where we will go....lol
One minute it's Florida and the next it's California.
I think we've ruled Vegas out as we can always stop there on our way through if we go to California.
I know we'll figure something out....we always do!

While the laundry was in the dryer I took advantage of a little free time to create this card below.
Two challenges in one!

I am loving these colours! It's been awhile since I last coloured with my copics and I felt a bit rusty!
Stamps: Being Cute Is What I Do, Fall FoliagePaper: White, Aqua, Pale Plum, Rich RazzleberryInk: Memento Black, Rich RazzleberryAccessories: Heidi Swapp Circle Stencil, Distress Crackle Paint, Sewing, Rhinestone, MFT Butterfly Dies, Copics, Cirlce Nesties, Dimensionals

Have Big Dreams - DD95

Things have been so busy lately that I haven't had much crafty time :(
I do have a couple of days off this week but have to go to work for a couple of hours each day.
Bummer.
Some way....some how....I'll find some crafty time!

Tonight while waiting for Brian to come home I snuck into my craft room to create a card for the Dynamic Duos Challenge below.
I used a few new to me supplies from MFT.
Love these colours together! Fun!

Make Today Wonderful

Yesterday I had the morning off and was able to do a little stamping. Always a fun way to start the day off!
I'm missing Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches and was thrilled to be able to play along with the girls while playing along with the Ways To Use It Challenge - Buttons on SCS as well.

With it being SPRING now....lol....even though we got snow yesterday....I wanted to use some happy and upbeat colours!
I stamped the wood grain background stamp from MFT's Western Backgrounds in Versamark on the red cardstock. The sentiment panel was first stamped with Pretty Poppies script in Daffodil Delight and over stamped with a sentiment from Simply Fabulous in black ink.
Stamps: Western Backgrounds, Simply Fabulous, Pretty PoppiesPaper: White, Lemon, RedInk: Versamark, Black, Daffodil DelightAccessories: MFT Doily Die, Button, Twine, Mat pack and Paper Piercer, Dimensonals

Thinking Of You - FMS128

Hi :)

Tonight I had hoped to be stamping with some new MFT goodies that I ordered yesterday BUT that darn FedEx guy went to the WRONG address today so I received an email saying I was unavailable and they'd deliver tomorrow. UGH! Tomorrow is NO good....lol. I want my stamps. NOW!

So instead of sitting around crabby I decided to stamp anyway :)
Using the Freshly Made Sketch above I created a couple of cards.
Here is one of them using the MFT Peaceful Wildflowers stamps and dies.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous!

Hello :)

A quick CAS card I created for the Featured Stamper Challenge #370 on SCS yesterday.
Stamped the poppies in Soft Sky and Lucky Limeade. The sentiment came from the Simply Fabulous Sayings from MFT.
