Earlier today Brian and Chloe went off shopping for Christmas presents. It was nice that they got to do that together today! Brian had been gone for a week and Chloe was really excited to spend the morning with him doing stuff with JUST Dad ;)
I had a chance to work on some challenges from today.
This first project wasn't a challenge though...LOL
Last week while shopping with my neighbour, Lisa, we found some of these cool glass coasters at a local dollar store. We HAD to buy them!
They measure 3.5 x 3.5. I cut down some of my chipboard coasters to that size then glued a piece of Dashing DP to each one. Then I stamped and punched out the snowman from Merry & Bright and layered him with cardstock. I also cut a piece of cardstock to run along the bottom and stamped it as well. I couldn't figure out a good way to attach the glass to the paper though. I used Crystal Effects and it is holding really good BUT you can see it in the corners. Anyone have a better idea? Please share it with me....I have another 8 coasters after these 4 and I'd love to do them up and give them as gifts!

This next card is for todays Featured Stamper on SCS. It's ROSE ANN! YAH! I was so excited to see it was her today....couldn't decide which card to CASE of hers. There are soooooooo many fabulous creations in her gallery! I ended up casing THIS card of hers. I changed the papers and the stamp set but kept the same layout and idea! Thanks so much Rose Ann!
A little while ago, Lori from Inking Aloud sent me some wonderful stamped images in the mail! I so love these shopping ladies....it's so me! I wanted to colour some in today and use up some paper that Brian had bought me from Cosmo Cricket.

hi dawn, i love your coaster creation. the only thing I can think of is using brad and put a glue dot on top of it so it is not directly on paper.
