This World...

Hello :)

Work has been crazy the past few days and it's only going to get busier with the holidays fast approaching!
It's all good though.
Downside is that I am exhausted when I get home from work and don't have the creative energy to stamp :(

Here is a card I created using some MFT stamps and the emboss resist technique.

I love making thank you cards for all the wonderful gifts we exchange each year. It's time to get those started now. Trying to do them after Christmas is crazy! Better to be prepared, right?
This time I used some PTI dies and stamps to create my card.

You Are Never Too Old To Be A Rockstar

Hello!

Last week Jen from Reverse Confetti posted a new Color Challenge that runs for a couple of weeks. Being that I'm challenged with gray I decided I must play along ;)
The layout comes from the CAS(E) this Sketch #54.
For the horizontal element I stamped some dots from the Whole Lotta Dots and the sentiment was layered up using  Inner Rockstar.

I Can Always Count On You. Thanks

Happy Saturday!

I've been stuck in a little bit of a stamping rut the last couple of weeks. Not a bad rut but one that had me focused on holiday cards, many of which were red and green.
So yesterday I posted a note on FB asking people to give me some colour ideas.
First person to post was Katherine Cosimano with dark brown, light grey and bright turquoise.

That colour combo had me hyperventilating....seriously.
Grey? I never use grey or VERY rarely.
BUT I did ask for some help and I'm not one to back down to a challenge ;)

I pulled out some Reverse Confetti stamps and made a card for my husband!
He's always been so supportive and someone I can count on day in and day out.

Merry Christmas To All

Hello :)

Three more days of vacation....ahhhh!
We are supposed to get snow again this weekend. That would be the fourth weekend in a row that it has snowed. Yuck.
On a positive note....it always melts here in two days because of the 70km/hr winds that Lethbridge experiences on almost a daily basis. That's about 43 miles/hr ;)
When we first moved here people told me that you pretty much have to tie things down on your deck. They were NOT kidding....lol

Yesterday while my cabbage rolls were in the oven I snuck into my craft room and made several cards.
Normally when I follow a sketch I take them literally.
This time I switched it up a bit and stepped out of my comfort zone. I know people always say that a sketch is a starting point I just hope I didn't step too far out.
You can recognize it right?
I actually really like how this came out....sort of fun and funky!
Stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.

Merry Christmas - DS127

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
Loving this CAS layout!
You can dress it up or go simple as I've done here.
I created my wreath with a bunch of MFT snowflake dies and layering them on one another until I was happy with the result. A few rhinestones, jingle bells and twine finish it off.
This colour combo is another fave of my this year!

Merry & Bright

Happy Wednesday!
Gosh I'm half way through my vacation. To be honest it hasn't felt like much of a vacation the past couple of days.
Oh well.
Yesterday I made nearly 100 potato and cheddar perogies and I still have a little more to go today before I start my sauerkraut and bacon perogies. THOSE are my fave!

After I finished for the day yesterday I sat down to create a quick CAS card for two SCS challenges.
1. Try A New Technique - revisited paper piecing
2. CAS - Frosty & Festive - inspiration photo

Of course I couldn't help but use the super cute snowman again from MFT.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Hello :)

Ok so my plan for stamping like crazy this week needs to be put on hold for a few days....lol
Yesterday I went grocery shopping and bought all the stuff I need to make perogies and cabbage rolls for the holidays. This really is the best time for me to do them and freeze 'em up for the holiday season.
I have a feeling that we'll be doing a little entertaining since we've moved.
We're all making new friends and it's a good thing if we're prepared for company!

The card below was created for the Paper Players Challenge last week.
Mark another masculine card off my Christmas list!
Stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.

Warm Winter Wishes - MFT sketch #149

Hello!

Friday night while out for dinner we decided to hop in the truck and head down to Montana for the weekend.
This time we brought Snickers along and I was much more relaxed knowing she was fine. No stressing about her at a kennel!

I am on vacation all this week! Yeah!

I haven't stamped since last week but I'll make up for it in the next few days ;)
This was last week's MFT sketch:
Those of you that visit me often know my love of snowmen is huge!
Anytime I can ink one up it makes me happy!
This time I used Holiday Hugs Snomwan from MFT.
Still having the Wild Wasabi and Real Red on my table I decided to use those again rather than getting off my chair....yeah I'm that lazy sometime! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!

The Ornaments of Life - MFT sketch #148

Happy Friday!

Vacation time! Although I'm not going too far it will be nice to relax and do a few things around the house that I've been putting off....lol

Yesterday I played catch up on a few challenges around blogland.
The first one was last week's MFT sketch #148.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE making holiday cards! Snowmen are a fave of mine!

I stamped the polka dots from Large Scale Backgrounds by MFT in Versamark and now wish I'd have clear embossed them. Darn. LOL.
The snowman was coloured with copics.
I finally cracked open my package of Blueprints 7 dienamics for the sentiment layer.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Holly Jolly Christmas - DS126

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
Just this week I'd received my last PTI order. With Christmas right around the corner and a small fundraiser that I want to do at work, I figured I'd order a few simple stamp sets.
This Mistletoe & Holly set is perfect!

Happy Holidays

Happy Monday!

Three more days and I'm on VACATION again! Yeah!

I have no real plans other than to do some of my holiday baking and cooking.
I'll freeze my cookies, cabbage rolls and perogies.
Well I'm sure I'll eat a few too ;)

I haven't stamped in nearly a week! Yikes!

This was another card I created for the Paper Players Challenge the previous week.
I love this Poinsettia die from MFT! Makes such quick and easy cards.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Season's Greetings PP169

Good Morning!

Last Monday I was off and lucky enough to get in a little crafty time!

I was going for more of a masculine holiday card. Not sure I pulled it off after adding the bells and bow....lol
I really love to emboss with Clear EP on black cardstock!
