Good Sunday Morning

Happy Sunday!
Last night my girlfriend, Sandy and I, went to the Edmonton Eskimos Football game(CFL) and we WON~! Yah! It was a blast! My throat hurts a little from all the shouting....haha!
Today I plan on watching the Nascar race(weather permitting), finishing the laundry and stamping!
Yesterday afternoon I sat down and worked on a couple of cards. The first one is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I've had this stamp set, A Tree For All Seasons, for a long time and think it's only seen ink twice...sad eh? I really do like the stamps but the images are small and I find them harder to work with. Beate's sketch was perfect for them!
I stamped the image with Timber Brown Stazon onto Watercolour Paper and used my Aqua Painter and inkpads(smooshed on the lid) to colour.
Stamps: A Tree for All Seasons; Cardstock: Old Olive, Kraft, WC paper and Haiku DP; Inks: Timber Brown Stazon, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa, Choc Chip, Old Olive, Really Rust; Accessories: Aqua Painter, Choc Satin Ribbon, Old Olive Poly Twill, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Dimensionals
This next card is for Jen's sketch on her blog. There is an added bonus to doing the sketch this week and using a Stamping Bella image....you could possibly win a gift certificate to Stamping Bella! Yah! I pulled out the Snowbunny Bella and some new Imaginisce DP I picked up a few weeks ago. She's coloured with Copics. The fuzzy snowflake brads were given to me by my husband last year in my Christmas Stocking.

Stamps: Snowbunny Bella; Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, WW and Imaginisce DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, Embossing Folder, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Felt Brads, Dimensionals

Good Monday Morning!

Happy Monday!
Are you all ready for another work week? I survived the first week of back to school and think we developed a routine...somewhat anyway. Funny, I squeezed my stamping in first...now I'll work on my Wii Fit...hopefully I can find a good time slot for that....haha!
One more day until all the new stamps from All That Scraps will be available!
Today I have a couple of cards made with Sugarplum Halloween. Isn't Olivia cute all dressed up? I love the sentiment in the first card....Like My Ride? haha....cracks me up!
Stamps: SugarPlum Halloween; Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Lovely Lilac, So Saffron, WW and misc dp; Inks: Memento Black and Saffron; Accessories: Nesties, copics, Circle Punch, Martha Bat Punch, Dimensionals, Sponges
Now I'm NOT sure why the costume looks blue...I know I coloured it a purple shade with my Copics...obviously the lighting doesn't do it justice...sorry!
I can see me using this cute image over and over!! Olivia looks great on that broom....my husband asked why Christine didn't name this image DAWN ;)

Stamps: Sugarplum Halloween; Cardstock: Lovely Lilac, WW and Ghostly Greetings DP; Ink: Memento Black; Accessories: Copics, May Arts Ribbon, Black Marker, Paper snips, Dimensionals, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Martha Bat punch
I'm so excited I had time to work on Beate's weekend sketch before the race started yesterday. I made it a standard card rather than square. I thought my image was too small for a square card. As it was I had to do many layers to fill in space...lol

My two cards below are SU! only except for the Bat Punch on the second ;)

Stamps: Batty for You; Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Black, WW and Ghostly Greetings; Inks: Pumpkin, Going Grey, Olive;Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop Punch, Black Grosgrain, Vintage Brads, Dimensionals
Splitcoast stampers Sunday challenge is the Featured Stamper. I try really hard to get to this challenge each week but time doesn't always allow me to play along. Luckily...I could this week!

This was the card I CASED here.

I loved her layout so I changed the Designer Paper, Paper, Stamps and Embellishments.

My card measures 4 x 4.

Stamps: Batty for You; Cardstock; Pumpkin, Black, WW and Ghostly Greetings DP; Inks: Pumpkin, Going Gray; Accessories: Pumpkin and Black Grosgrain, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, Martha Bat Punch, Dimensionals

I REALLY need to see Jeff win a race this year! When we were at the Daytona 500 earlier this year I thought this might be his year to win his 5th title....it's not looking good....lol
Ok you didn't come here to hear about Jeff did you?!
These next four cards are for Julee's OSW(one sheet wonder) Verve Challenge. You can read all the details HERE.
All my cards use the same basic supplies....

I have another sneak peek for you....this time it's from AmyR! She has come out with her own stamps through CC Designs and All That Scraps. Her first sets are called Amy's Boutique and Boutique Sentiments. I loved the sentiment on this card....If the shoe fits buy one in every color. These sets and all new new CC Design Sets will be available on Sept 9th. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks over the next few days ;)

Thanks for stopping by today! Stop back tomorrow...I have a ton of great things to share!

Leaf It To Me

Happy Wednesday!
Half way through the week already....don't you LOVE these short weeks?! LOL!
I've got another Leaf It To Me card from Storage Unit, Inks & More to show you today. I'm enjoying these CAS(clean and simple) cards. Can you see the fabulous texture on the Core'dinations cardstock? I love it! I think it adds so much to a card. SUInk sells it too...so check it out! There are a TON of colours...wow!

Back to the Grindstone...lol

Good Tuesday Morning!
Well it's the first day of school...still not sure if I want to laugh or cry....ugh!
I loved the freedom I had all summer to do what I wanted, when I wanted....now it's back to a routine. I know I said last year that I wasn't going to volunteer so much....ummmm ya....right! Let's see how long that lasts ;)
This week I was able to play along with the Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS. I was thrilled that I had time in the morning before heading out to shop. This one was called Black Magic. Basically what this technique called for was stamping a lined image onto dark cardstock with either white or vanilla craft ink. Then using your Prisma Pencils and Gamsol(odorless mineral spirits) you colour your images. (You dip the pencil directly into the OMS and then colour) Super fast and super easy! I think it's a fabulous technique and I'll be sure to use it again real soon!
Stamps: A Little Bit of Happiness; Cardstock: Old Olive, So Saffron, Choc Chip, Haiku DP; Inks: White Craft; Accessories: Prismapencils, Gamsol, Choc Satin Ribbon
Yesterday Storage Unit, Inks & More released 6 new fantastic stamp sets! Since I was on vacation the last two weeks of August I didn't have a chance to participate in the sneak peeks but not to worry...I'll be sharing them throughout the next couple of weeks!
Here is a card I made using the Leaf it to Me set. I was going for a nice clean and simple design. I stamped the apple barrel twice and popped it up on little dimensionals. I'm loving the texture of this Core'dinations cardstock. It adds so much to a simple card, don't you think?

Stamps: Leaf it to Me; Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Core'dinations in Chocolate Mocha and Cardinal, Scenic Route DP; Inks: Memento Black, Creamy Caramel; Accessories: Copics, Dew Drops, Quickie Glue Pen, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
I'll see if Chloe will allow me to snap a picture of her this morning before school...if so I'll share it with you all.

Featured Stamper

Happy Labour Day!
I know many of you have had your kids back in school for a bit but we don't start until tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to having my days all chopped up again. I liked doing NOTHING some days....well no more...When is Christmas break? LOL!
Finally...I was able to play along in the Sunday Featured Stamper on SCS. This week it was NikiE. She has a fantastic gallery HERE.
I couldn't decide which card to CASE so I did two but wanted to do more...
HERE is the first one I worked on. Since my good friend, Michelle, had given me a huge goodie bag of PTI stuff while I was in Boise, I knew right away I'd want to do that card of Niki's. I changed the colours, dp, stamps and omitted the stitching...I don't sew well.
Stamps: Fluttering By; Cardstock: PTI Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Choc Remix DP; Inks: Choc Chip; Accessories: 1 1/4" square punch, Choc swiss dots satin ribbon, Dimensionals
I HAD to have the Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set yet it hadn't seen ink. After seeing THIS card of Niki's I thought it would work perfectly for this CASE.
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes; Cardstock: Pacific Point and Whisper White; Inks: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Black; Accessories: Rectangle Nesties, Blender Pen, Pacific Point Ribbon, Dimensionals, Corner Rounder
Thanks for stopping by today!
