KI Blog Hop - For a Special Teacher
Good Morning and welcome to the June 20th KI Blog Hop!
I've been excited to show you this card which I made last week with the Taylored Expressions June 20th Key Ingredients.
This month Taylor challenged us to make a gift or card for a June Celebration and we were to add some sort of dimension to our project. Want to know what the kicker was? NO COPICS!
So....
I started by stamping the cute bear from Beary Special onto Choice Snow White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink(twice). I then coloured both images with Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol.
My dimension comes from a few layers of cardstock, nesties and the bear being popped up on dimensionals. Isn't that ribbon YUMMY?! I had a hard time capturing the colour of the ribbon...it looks blue here but it isn't...lol I think it's Orchid.

Dawn this is just sooo darling and sooo sweet!! I love that sweet bow and the way you did coloring with the gamsol and prismas with your sweet bear!! TOTAlly LOVELY!!!

Oh my what a cute card, Dawn. The bear and banner popped up. I love popped up images! Hey that funky pattern on the dp is cool. . . such pretty colors too!

Oh Dawn! This is just GORGEOUSNESS through and through! LOVE the papers in this KI and your layout is FABU! The popped up elements are perfection and I LOVE how you also popped up the sentiment!!!
OMG, I'm sooo glad Taylor challenged you guys to create your projects wihtout Copics! For someone who doesn't own even one Copic, I have to resort to other measures. It looks like I need Dawn Easton lessons on coloring with watercolor pencils and mineral spirits! My coloring NEVER turns out this amazing!!
Love the dimension in your card and that BEAUTIFUL ribbon! I had the same problem trying to capture some lavender ribbon one day until I put the camera on the halogen lighting setting. Not sure why that was the only way I could pick it up, but it worked. Not that you need any photography lessons from me...that's for SURE! You always have awesome photos :O)
