Fantastic RAKS!

I have had a GREAT mail week!! Look at all these wonderful cards that I have been lucky enough to receive!! Thanks girls for the congrats on my Dirty Girl status!! Sure made me smile!!

It's so nice to be acknowledged by so many of you....especially when my own upline hasn't :( but then again, maybe she isn't a Fan Club Member.

First I have to apologize to Kathy for not capturing the true beauty of this card. I wanted to show the beautiful sparkly gold embossing but somehow lost the deep rich colour of the purple....sorry!

Kathy also sent along the meaning of this purple Mandala for me. Wow! I won't write it all here but it does say that purple is the colour of royalty, mystery, spirituality and originality :)

A couple sketch cards

Good Morning!

Today I'm ready to start packing for our vacation. Chloe has been packed for a week already...lol Think she packed every pair of underwear she has....think I need to go through her suitcase and help her re-pack ;)

I got the lawns(mine and the neighbours) out front done last night after dinner and will do the back tomorrow. Picked up dog food and fish tablets. My check list is almost complete! YAH! MORE stamping time!!

I LOVE this bunny image from MFT. He is so easy to colour.

Good Wednesday Morning!

Can you believe it's Wednesday? Oh my goodness, this week is flying by and I still have a few things to do before we leave for vacation....like get dog food for Snickers, fish tablets so the fish don't starve, mow the lawn, pack, clean the house....BUT I always make time to stamp! Yah!

I made this card for the Colour Challenge on SCS.

When I first heard the colours, it freaked me out. They look pretty together but I wasn't sure I could pull it off. I think I did okay though. What do you think?

Good Tuesday Morning!

So tell me....did you all place your SU! order yesterday??!! It took me a little bit to get on and punch in my numbers...it was super slow....bet you all were slowing it down....haha! Poor Cindy couldn't even get it to download :(

Only FOUR more sleeps....well 3.5 really...til we leave for vacation! I spent about 2 hours yesterday typing up two weeks worth of blog posts so that you all will have something to see while I'm away ;) Don't want to leave you high and dry! lol

By the time I had some time to work on something and take a picture, it was really yucky out. I had to snap a picture in the basedump with my OTT lights.

This is a little phone book that I made for Chloe.

It's made with some chipboard and my Bind It All. The inside pages are just something that I typed up on the computer and printed out. I made it rather large...it measures 5 x 7 and only one address per page. She's 9...writes big...lol

Good Monday Morning!

It's a happy day! I finally am placing my SU! order along with most of you! Now when I get home from our vacation my stuff SHOULD be here! I wasn't going to order anything, felt a little guilty spending money BEFORE we leave but luckily I have a fantastic husband that said to just go for it! So I didn't order a whole lot but it will be enough to get me started...lol

I've got two cards to show you today....both of them are from Julee's Anni-VERVE-sary sketch challenges. These are my last two...whew....so glad I got all twelve done last week...what a blast that was!

Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be the lucky winner of ALL of her new stamps! Oh wouldn't that be exciting?!

It's RACE DAY!

I know I say it most Sundays...but it's RACE Day! I feel a win for Jeff Gordon today! Yah! Maybe you all could cheer for him too...lol

Yesterday I said I was going to stamp all day Saturday but believe it or not I didn't stamp a thing! I know....shocking eh? Luckily I have stamped a TON lately and have stuff to show. On Friday, Julee posted all the Anni-VERVE-sary sketches so we could get ahead start...thank goodness too!

Storage Units, Ink & More have the cutest back to school set called A touch of class and when I saw it, I knew I wanted to make Chloe a backpack tag! These are little self laminating business card protectors that I purchased at Walmart in the business section. I added a key ring and some ribbon to finish it off. Since I don't like to put her name on the outside of her backpack, for saftey reason, I've added a piece of designer paper to the backside to fancy it up! Isn't it cute?!

Tomorrow is THE day that we can order from SU! I need to finalize my order...I know I can't get it all....not with leaving for vacation this week....but I sure want it all....haha!

Also....I noticed I passed the 200,000 blog hits...WOW! I just hit 100,000 the beginning of May...you all are amazing and to thank you....I'll have some blog candy soon....after my holidays ;)

I'm happy it's the weekend! I'm going to stay in the basement all day!! We have been in a heat wave here and I'm thankful that Brian talked me into a portable air conditioner from Costco a few weeks ago!

My first card is a combination of two fantastic challenges.

This week I challenged the girls from Our Creative Corner to make a card with NO designer paper and a MAX of 4 layers! I LOVE to layer so this was a great challenge. Of course once I sat down to make something, I was LOST...but thankfully I had Lauren's Saturday sketch to use and it was perfect for the max layers!!

I'd recently gotten this new Unity stamp set called Diva-Lish and couldn't wait to ink it up!

I paired the new SU! In Colour Pacific Point with PTI's Lemon Tart. I like the combo...what do you think?

Well I THOUGHT yesterday was going to be a happy day...well....no SU! Catalogues...darn Canada Post...lol...they SAY today....we'll see....I'll believe it when I see it ;)

I do have some happy stuff to show you though!

This is a sneak peek of a new set that is coming out from CC Designs and it is called Bear Hugs. Super cute eh?! I had to pull out my Latte Fun Flock...this bear screams for it, don't you think? Of course I had to add some yellow stickles to the bees wings too...hehe!

This set will be available from All That Scraps on August 11th.

I had some Hawaiian Coconut candies in the cupboard and honestly, they've been there for like a year...good thing they are the hard candies eh?! Well I thought maybe I could decorate a little jar to put them in...maybe then we'll eat 'em ;)

Well today will be the first day in a long time that my neighbour doesn't phone me at 8 am asking what I'm doing and me replying that I'm bloggin'....lol
We won't see one another for a month almost...wow~
She's gone home to Newfoundland(first time in 9 years) for her Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. On Sunday I whipped up this card for her to give them from me. I don't use black often but thought it turned out nicely.

I'm going to bring these with me when we visit her in Boise in a couple of weeks...yah! Can't wait!

Since the cardbase is so dark I decided to add a piece of Saffron CS and stamp one flower in Saffron to the inside.

I had intended on showing you all some sneak peeks from CC Designs this week but Christine has moved All That Scraps to a new bigger location so we've moved the release back a bit. I can't wait to show you the new stuff soon!

Yesterday I had time for just a couple of cards so I combined the Ways To Use It Challenge and Julee's Mojo 48 sketch.
